Card Captor Sakura Fan Fiction ❯ Dark side of the moon ❯ Chapter 7
Amaya was tending to her wounds she needed time to heal; she probably wouldn't be feeling so good for the next week or so. She glanced down at her clawed hands before looking back up at the new moon.
Her counterpart was going to be very tired and weak when she switched back. She still had yet to actually make her counterpart aware of her, she tried once but she wasn't sure if she got her message across.
Slowly she got up and was about to leave when a voiced stopped her.
"Are you just going to keep on hiding?"
She turned around to find the young boy, her master, standing on the roof behind her.
"Well."
" You do not wish to see me like this master I am not something to look at."
"How do you know?"
She could have laughed were she not so depressed, how could she know? She had claws, a tail, dragon wings, and fangs, all she was missing was the horns, which she though dejectedly would be appearing in a few days. She was so caught up in her musings she didn't sense him walking up to her until she felt a hand on her own.
She jerked back her yellow green eyes staring into his amber ones.
Li walked up to her he was able to make some of what she looked like out, she was actually very beautiful considering she was bleeding and dirty. Her short golden hair framed her dark face, her long bangs hiding her iridescent eyes from him. Her hands were actually claws and her feet were arched up so she was standing on her pads like cat.
Her tail swung back and forth behind her rapidly displaying her nervousness. Her wings were large at the ends and thinned out towards her body, she was wearing a dark green robe ( kinda like Li's green robe w/o the symbol or sleeves) that came to her ankles with slits going up to mid thigh. Her arms were wrapped in light green material and her feet were covered in a light silver black metal with a green gem in the middle.
Amaya stood there unsure of what to do, she was afraid to move for fear of showing more of herself yet she didn't want to pull away from the one person who cared for her. So she stood there unsure of what to do.
His hand traced her claws before pulling away, his eyes sought out hers and locked gazes with her. He smirked at her his eyes showing everything he thought and felt.
Amaya almost cried her master had not forgotten her his eyes said so. She hugged him quickly a small smile gracing her lips as she whispered something in his ear before flitting away.
--
Ryuu sei made her way up to her master waiting for his command but all he did was smile at her and stroke her fur, scratching behind her ear and under her chin. She let out a deep purr of content and rubbed into his hand before pulling back.
"Let's go home we have a long day tomorrow." Li said as he made his way down off the roof.
--
When Li and Meilin arrived home they noticed the house was quiet, too quiet for Li when his sisters lurked near by. They went into the kitchen to find Wei setting the table for just three.
"Wei, where is my mother?"
"She went home but she left you this."
Wei handed Li a small white envelope before turning back to the dinner he was making. Meiling glanced at the letter then Li before she announced she was getting a shower and changing.
Li walked into his room and set his sword back on its rack then walked over to his bed and sat down. He stared a the letter for a while before he opened it up and read its contents. When he was finished a small smile graced his features before he turned his head towards the moonless night sky.
--
Once again she was late and Touya wasn't helping any by teasing her.
"Jeez squirt if your gonna keep being late why even bother setting your alarm. Why even have one for that matter?"
"Touya!"
He smiled as he ruffled her hair they were waiting for Yuki to join them so they could head off to school. When he did meet up with them he looked a little lost in thought but neither one said anything. They parted ways Sakura going to the middle school while Touya and Yuki continued to the High school.
When they got to class they noticed that Rei wasn't there yet and she wasn't there when morning announcements started. She appeared right after first period looking a little tired and flushed.
Yuki had History with her and he noticed how much effort it took to keep herself awake. She had a slight flush to her face and her eyes were a little glassy. Akizuki noticed it too and glanced Yukito's way before glancing back at Rei.
It took all her energy to stay awake and not fall asleep, she was unsure why she felt like this. She was fine yesterday so why did she feel so tired and hot and her limbs they felt like the weighted a ton. She slouched down in her seat willing her eyes to stay open but unable to slowly the room got darker and the noise was fading away.
She could feel sleep starting to claim her then all the sudden `Bam' her eyes flew open and her head snapped up. She blinked a couple times and looked around, all eyes were on her and the sensei did not look very happy with her. Her face got hotter and redder for embarrassment, sitting up she apologized to the sensei for disrupting class.
The rest of the morning went like that she was trying to make her way to lunch but she kept tipping forwards like she was going to nod off. Akizuki and Yukito were walking behind her when they saw her falling backwards.
Yuki was the first one to reach her catching her before she hit the floor, Akizuki felt her forehead she was burning up.
"Get her to the infirmary, quickly!"
--
Rei blinked a few times she felt better than before but she still was warm and dizzy. When she was able to focus a pair of soft gray eyes were gazing down at her. She closed them again before opening them back up, she wasn't dreaming Yukito was really there.
"Yukito-san?"
"You really should take better care of yourself Rei."
Rei turned her head slowly to see Nakuru standing behind Yukito looking like a worried mother.
"You had us worried passing out like that, you need to go home and get some rest."
"But I feel better. Really."
To prove it she swung her legs over the side and stood up, a little too fast for her body because the room tipped and she felt herself falling again. Yuki caught her just as she started to fall and he held her up steadying her with his arms around her waist.
"Your going home and Yuki's taking you so don't argue."
Rei slumped her shoulders in defeat as she let Yuki escort her home. She was leaning on him for support when halfway to her house her eyes grew heavy and she fell asleep on his shoulder.
Yuki looked down when he felt her weight increase and noticed she was sleeping. He glanced around making sure no one was around then a white light engulfed him and Yue stood in his place with Rei gathered up in his arms.
She groaned slightly before shifting and snuggling closer to his chest. She may have felt hot but she was freezing so she tried to burrow into the warmth around her.
Yue made it to her house faster than if they walked, he went up to the top floor and passed through the window into her room where he placed her gently on the bed. She made a small sound of protest before she snuggled into her covers.
He floated down stairs passing through the ceiling and getting a glass of water and a cool clothe for her. When he felt he could leave her he floated out he window and went back to school.
--
~~~*** Rei's dream ***~~~
It was foggy and dark she wasn't sure where she was.
"Hello?"
Only silence greeted her she turned around trying to find anything but there was only complete and utter darkness. She began to walk hoping that if she continued on in whatever direction she was going in she would find light or help.
She walked for what seemed like hours and still nothing and the fog only seemed to get worse, she was hardly able to see her own hands. She turned around when a slight breeze past her followed by a noise.
"Anyone there?"
"Hello?"
Still nothing she was getting scared she didn't know what to do.
--
Li was on the roof practicing when a small white cat appeared on the railing, its blue eyes boring into his amber ones. He knew this cat but was unsure of how. Suddenly the cat jumped down and began to walk towards him, changing into a large white cat.
"Ryuu sei?"
"Master, Amaya is in need of your help."
--
Rei knew there was someone here with her, she could hear them moving around. She backed up the hairs on her arms standing up and goose bumps appearing on her arms. She licked her lips and swallowed calling out once more.
She rubbed her arms to try and rid herself of the bumps and warm her up. It wasn't working all that well and the fog had gotten to the point where she couldn't even see her own hand in front of her face.
--
Ryuu sei and Li made their way to where Amaya's ki was, they noticed it kept fluctuating rapidly rising and falling.
She knew something was very wrong with the other guardian.
`she must be having trouble with her counterpart. She probably wasn't healed either when she left. Amaya you are reckless why didn't you let the Clow mistress heal you?'
They stopped in front of a two-story house, Li looked a little surprised but he didn't say anything to her so she didn't ask. They walked inside and made their way upstairs where they found her.
Li opened the door to find Rei lying in her bed whimpering and tossing back and forth. He walked over to her and placed a hand on her forehead she was burning up. He pulled his hand away and glanced over at Ryuu sei that was sitting beside him.
"This is not good master, her counterpart seems to be rejecting her."
"Is there anything we can do?"
"We can't do anything. You however maybe able to help her."
"How?" he asked his amber eye moving to look down upon the fever stricken girl.
--
Rei didn't like this feeling at all, she knew someone was here with her but for some reason they did not want to show themselves. She swallowed again before letting her eyes scan the darkness that surrounded her. She could hear the soft beating of wings and briefly wondered if it was a bird of some kind. She turned around when something cool touched her leg.
"Who's there?"
Silence greeted her.
"Hello, is anyone there?"
This time she heard a hiss of breath and the flapping of the wings grew louder, the wind rushing past her and pushing the fog away. She noticed a shadowy figure floating a few yards from her. She noticed its huge wings beating softly behind it, as it seemed to come closer towards her.
"Who are you?" she asked again before taking a step back.
