“Now you sop messing around.”

“No I'm serious. Every time I see him he's either around or staring out a window at the library.”

“I'm sure he was just there looking to see if I was there.”

“I hope you are right.”

“I know I am, so what was it exactly that you wanted to tell me?”

 

Chapter 5 First love

 

“It's not there.”

“What do you mean?”

“I searched the library thoroughly and it wasn't there.” Yelan frowned at him. “Don't worry Aunt Yelan I do know where it is.” She smiled. “I also know where I can find may more.”

“This is good Eriol. This will put us ahead. Have you talked to Xiao Lang yet?”

“No I haven't talked to him in a while.”

“And when was the last time when you did talk to him?”

“Yesterday.”

“I see.”

“We weren't really talking it was more like a heated argument.”

“Oh…well you are dismissed.” Eriol bowed.

“Thank you.” He opened the door and shut it slowly behind him. He walked down the hallway and stopped at Syaoran's door.

“Come in.”

“You wanted to talk to me?”

“I guess. I understand what is going on here, and I know that I have to take the cards from Sakura.”

“But will your feelings for her get in the way? You do know that you will have to get the cards from her before Meiling does.” Syaoran jumped out of his seat and walked towards the door.

“I didn't know she came yet. She'll ruin everything! Where is she now?” Syaoran stared to pace the floor.

“When I left she went in to talk to Aunt Yelan so I think that she has briefed her on what she has to do. She should already be on her way to find Sakura, and probably to even kill her.” Syaoran stopped pacing and walked back to Eriol.

“If I don't get the cards from her first Meiling will take them and take-her-out?”

“Hai.” Syaoran looked down deep in thought.

“Meiling doesn't know what she looks like, so you'll have to stall her.”

“No. You mean you will have to stall her.”

“I don't want to!” Meiling burst through the door happily and wrapped her hands around Syaoran's neck. He sighed and hesitantly wrapped his arms around her waist as he put on the best-fake smile he could muster. “Meiling, How have you been?”

“I am so glad you asked. I have been so busy. Plus we have to get ready for our wedding!” Syaoran looked at Eriol and mouthed `Help!' Eriol quickly moved over to Syaoran and grabbed Meiling. She shrieked and jumped away from him. Eriol pretended to look hurt.

“Aw my little Mei has broken my heart.”

“My heart belongs to Syaoran, and his to mine.” While she said this she tried to reach for Syaoran but he had ran out of the door with Eriol following close behind him. “Hey where are you guys going??” When she ran out of the room to chase him they were gone.

“Oh yeah I did have something to tell you. Thanks for reminding me. Touya and my dad went to Egypt and want me to stay with you.”

“Oh Sakura I am so sorry. My mom is also going to Egypt and she is having me stay at an old friend of hers house.”

“Oh.”

“But I would love for you to come with me.”

“Can I do that?”

“Yes. You'll be like my sister even though you're my cousin.”

“Yeah I can be like your sister.” Tomoyo's mom walked in and glomped Sakura on spot pinching and squeezing her cheeks.

“Dear I haven't seen you in forever. To bad I have to leave. Oh well we can catch up later. Come on Tomoyo time to go.” She turned and started to leave and Sakura just sat there. “Aren't you coming Sakura?”

“Hai.”

“Good.” She led them out to a black limo.

“Riding in style I see.”

“Is there any other way?” They got in and rode up to a three-story mansion. Sakura looked in awe.

“Is this where we are staying?”

“Yes. This is where we are staying.” Sakura couldn't believe her eyes.

“This place is so huge!” There was a man standing at the gate and let the limo drive through. He opened the door to the lime and let them inside.

“Good evening ladies.”

“Um hi.”

“My name is Mr. Wei and I hope that you will enjoy your stay. Feel free to explore and fill your curiosity to the max, but mind the locked doors. I will now show you to your rooms.” He led them up a grand staircase (like on the titanic) and into a long hallway. Tomoyo and Sakura ooed and ahhed at the delicate paintings. This is your room Ms. Daidouji and Ms. Kinomoto your room is next door.”

“Thank you.” They replied in unison. After dropping off Tomoyo's stuff in her room, she followed Sakura into her room. I can't believe that that we are staying here. This place is so nice.”

“I know. I wonder if Mrs. Yelan has any kids.”

“They probably would prefer not being video taped every five minutes.”

“Very funny. Like I would video tape anyone every five minutes except for you. Speaking of which I have one right here.”

“Hey Moyo?”

“Yes?”

“I have an idea.”

“What is it?”

“Well Mr. Wei said that we could explore the house, so why don't we?”

“Alright just let me change. It was a hot flight to your house. It isn't always as glamorous as you think.”

“Ok but I get to pick out your exploring clothes.”

“Nothing crazy alright?”

“You take the fun out of everything!”

An hour later Tomoyo had Sakura dressed in an emerald green mid drift, low cut black baggy pants that were ripped at the knees revealing a soft green material patched behind it, green ankle socks and black chucks. Tomoyo was wearing sapphire blue halter-top, black capris, blue ankle socks, and black chucks. “Are we ready now?”

“Yes.” Sakura walked out of the room and into the hallway. She peeked around the corner and seeing no one there they crept down the stairs. Turning onto the first hallway the walked down a long row of doors all shut and locked. The last door on the hallway was open. “Finally!” Tomoyo said. “What fun is it to explore locked doors?” They walked into the room to find it empty with the exception of a piano.

“A piano?”

“Yes Sakura a piano. How about you ply me a song?”

“Alright.” Sakura walked over to the piano and sat down running her fingers gently over the keys she closed her eyes and started to play. Tomoyo recognized the song write away. It was First Love, by Utada Hikaru, which was one of her favorite songs. Sakura started to sing the lyrics (Japanese translation at bottom):

As she finished singing she turned to hear Tomoyo and Eriol clapping their hands. Blushing Sakura whispered a faint thank you and got up from the piano to see Syaoran in the doorway staring at her. “What are you doing in my house Kinomoto?”

“What! This is your house?”

“That's what I said.”

“Tomoyo did you know this?”

“Not exactly. I've been here before and I couldn't remember why, but now I remember I used to come here all the time with my mom.”

“I'll ask again. What are you doing in my house Kinomoto?”

“I. We are.”

“Spit it out!” Tomoyo stepped up next to Sakura.

“We are going to be staying here for tree weeks.”

“WHAT!” Hearing the loud yell Wei came running in and staring at Syaoran.

“Is anything wrong young master?”

“Yes! Is it true that she is staying here?”

“Yes sir it is.”

“Oh thank you, that is all you are dismissed.” He turned to look at Sakura. “And you get out of my house!”

“You don't have to tell me twice.” Sakura stomped out of the room not before stomping on Syaoran's foot causing him to yelp in pain. As Sakura walked outside clouds began to form and it started to rain and thunder. “Oh just perfect!” Then she noticed something was weird. This storm didn't seem like the normal kind. It had an eerie feeling to it. Within seconds she was soaked to the core and it was starting to flood. A normal storm couldn't possibly flood this quickly. Then it came to her, it had to be a clow card! In an attempt to get out of the rain she ran under a large cherry blossom tree in the backyard. Pulling out the jump card she was determined to take on the clow card. “Jump!” She leapt on top of the mansion and then pulled out the fly card. “Fly!”

“How could you be so cold hearted?”

“Um Tomoyo calm down.”

“Oh and don't you try to calm me down Eriol Hiiragazawa Sakura's so called friend who wouldn't even stop him!” Lightning and thunder was heard outside as it started to pour down raining. Immediately sensing that it wasn't a regular storm Eriol and Syaoran knew that it was a clow card. “Oh and now look Sakura is going to catch ammonia if she stays out thee and tries to catch those clow cards by herself.”

“What you know?”

“This isn't the time! GO SAVE MY SAKURA!” They ran out of the house as Tomoyo followed them getting out her waterproof video camera. The boys stared at her. “What I always have one handy just in case.” They saw Sakura jump onto the roof and fly into the air.

“Wow this is the first time I've seen her in action.”

“Well prepared to be amazed.” Tomoyo saw a lightning bolt strike where Sakura was flying and sent her off balance loosing control of the fly card. Syaoran summoned his board and raced to catch her. As Sakura fell she pulled out the windy card.

“Windy!” The wind started to pick up around them and carry Sakura safely to the ground. “Bind them!” The two cards were frozen in place. “The rain and the storm I command you to return to you card forms!” Defeated they returned to card form and she caught them putting them safely in her pocket. She sneezed and passed out.

“Sakura!” Tomoyo, Eriol and Syaoran rushed to her side. Syaoran picked up her unconscious body and carried her into the building.

In Sakura's mind.

Sakura was surrounded by nothing but darkness and all she could hear was first love play over and over in her head.
