Last Chapter

“Sakura!” Tomoyo, Eriol and Syaoran rushed to her side. Syaoran picked up her unconscious body and carried her into the building.

In Sakura's mind.

Sakura was surrounded by nothing but darkness and all she could hear was first love play over and over in her head.

 

Chapter 6 A Bloody Nightmare

 

Eriol and Syaoran watched as Tomoyo repeatedly tried to wake Sakura. “Sakura please wake up. Please, please, please, please wake up. Do it for me.” Eriol and Syaoran walked towards the door. “Hey Tomoyo we are going down to the kitchen. Do you want anything?” Tomoyo looked at them out of the corner of her eye.

“Yes.” she said curtly, “I would like Sakura to wake up.” They gently shut the door behind them and headed down to the kitchen.

“It doesn't make any sense. I didn't see the lightning hit her. She dodged it but her reaction time was off. But even I don't think that was it, and neither do you by the way you went to save her.”

“I”

“That was the first time you ever saw her in action. I think that you didn't know she was that strong.”

“I”

“You what?”

“I think that Sakura is strong but fragile.”

“I think that there is more to it.”

“I think I almost shit my pants when I saw that lightning almost hit her.” Eriol chuckled.

“I think you did to.”

“What are we to do?”

“Huh?”

“With Sakura, I mean, what happened?”

“I don't know. I know she has ammonia but I didn't think that she would be out this long.”

“Yeah it's almost like she is under the affect of a clow card.” All of a sudden they came to realize, maybe just maybe there was another card involved. Out of now where a quick shot of golden brown appeared and punched Syaoran.

“What was that?” Syaoran yelled.

“What'd you do to my Sakura?”

“Hello Kero.”

“Oh hello Reedsan how are you?”

“Please drop the formalities.”

“Oh and about before you guys were right. But Sakura isn't under the influence of one she is of two.”

“Is everybody joining up and trying to kill Sakura?”

“Which cards are behind this Kero?”

“Isn't it obvious, at least I thought so. Than again with this Gaki here the production of things must be going slowly.”

“Just answer the question you flying piece of-.” Eriol slapped Syaoran upside the head before he could finish.

“Show respect for your elders Li.”

“What this fluff ball?” Kero cleared his throat.

“If we can get back on subject, the clow mistress is under the spell of THE SLEEP card and THE DREAM card. Can you imagine what kind of nightmares they could be giving her?”

Tomoyo and Sakura were sitting on a ledge looking out over the water below them. “I am so glad that you are ok Sakurachan.”

“So I am.”

“You had us all scared catching ammonia like that and falling off the roof when lightning struck.”

“Sorry about that. It wasn't on purpose.”

“Speaking of which you should go back to bed and get some rest.”

“Nah I'm fine.” Sakura heard something behind her and turned around. She scanned the area but turned back around to hear Tomoyo scream and fall of the cliff. “Tomoyo!” In an instant Sakura had called the fly card and jumped off after her. She caught up to her and tried to grab her foot but it slipped through her fingers.

She called back the fly card dove into the water. She searched around and couldn't find her. Tomoyo was lost at sea. Sakura didn't give up though, she went back in and saw Tomoyo's headband lying on the sea floor.

She came back up and ran to the Li mansion to gather a search party. When she went inside the house she automatically dropped to her knees and cried. There was blood everywhere. Lying right in front of her was Wei with a knife in his back. It was starting to look like a clue nightmare. She checked his pulse but her was long dead.

Yelling for help and getting no response she ran into the kitchen and saw Eriol on the counter with a bullet wound to the head, his blood seeping onto the counter. Her breaths were ragged as she tried to take in everything. She walked around Eriol. Running up the steps she walked into her room and screamed once again. There was a woman lying in her bed dead. From the pictures she had assumed it was Ms. Li.

Panicking she desperately looked around for Syaoran. When she couldn't find him she walked into the bathroom to wash off her face. Looking up from the mirror, written in blood was `behind you.' Sakura turned and screamed. Right behind her was Syaoran hanging by a rope from the ceiling. Blood was dripping out of his mouth and he had a horrid expression on his face.

Crying she ran out of the room and downstairs into the piano room. She locked the door and sat down in the corner. Sakura was shaking in fear with her knees brought up to her chest and her head bowed. She heard banging on the door and screamed.

She dug into her pocket hoping to find a clow card that could get her out of this mess as the scrapping and banging on the door got louder. She couldn't believe what was happening, all her cards were black, and she couldn't make out one card from the other. “No this can't be happening!” The door was broken open and dark figures walked into the room. They came closer and she saw that their bodies were covered in blood. Her dead friends came closer and closer to her. “Somebody help me!”

“No body can help you now.” Tomoyo said, but it didn't sound like her. “Why'd you do it?”

“Huh?”

“Why'd you kill us?”

“No! I didn't kill you. I swear!”

“You shouldn't swear and lie. It isn't becoming of you. Then again being a cold-blooded murderer isn't good either.”

“I didn't kill you!”

“Don't lie. You think I didn't see you push me off that cliff. Pretending to save me only to smirk when you let go of my foot.”

“That wasn't me!” Eriol pushed pass her.

“You lie. I saw you with my own eyes when you shot me. Nice shot by the way. It hurt a lot, but you just smiled innocently and walked on by.”

“Syaoran, Eriol, I think you'd better get up here!” They ran up the steps followed by Kero to see Sakura crying and whimpering. She kept whispering but no one could make out what she was saying. “What's wrong with her?”

“She's been trapped by two clow cards.”

“Is there anything we can do?” They turned and looked at Kero who shook his head no.

“I'm sorry but she has to realize that it is just a dream and fight to overcome the nightmare.” Syaoran punched a whole in the wall.

“So we just sit here and watch as she is being destroyed from the inside out?”

“…”

“There has to be another way!” Syaoran walked over to her and started to whisper in her ear.

“No! I would never kill you Eriol. You were one of my friends. I would never…”

“Lies!” Sakura curled into a little ball with her hands over her ears. She pressed harder as she heard someone.

“This is all fake. It's just a dream. Kill the imposters. You are in a nightmare created by clow cards. Please trust me, you have to do it. You have Tomoyo worrying like crazy. Please Sakura.” She got up and ran pushed pass them, running into the kitchen.

“You can't escape us Sakura.” In the kitchen she grabbed a long knife and waited for them to enter. Wei was the first one in and jumped on her. The only thing separating them was the knife, which she stabbed into Wei's heart. She pushed him off and pulled out the knife. She walked out of the hallway and saw Tomoyo who was crying.

“So you've come back for more. You can't help but kill us again. Sakura I thought I was your best friend.” She got up and tried to hug Sakura only to end up choking her. Sakura cut Tomoyo's arm, which didn't seem fazed and continued to choke her. Sakura let go of her and kicked her in the stomach sending her flying across the room and into the lit fireplace. Tomoyo screamed as she was burning and Sakura turned around only to bump into Eriol.

“Sakura, I thought you said I was your friend. I thought I finally had a friend. You know you were my first friend. Before you I was always by myself. Syaoran and Aunt Yelan were always busy. But you know what? I was the one that attacked you in the library. Perfect way to get my revenge huh? By posing as your friend to gain your trust only to steal your cards away for Syaoran.” Sakura had a surprise look on her face. “Oh you didn't know? He wants to steal your cards and keep them for his own evil purposes.” A gunshot was heard and Eriol fell limp and she pushed him off of herself.

Syaoran was smiling at her holding a gun. “I saved you Sakura. Even after you seduced and hung me. I still loved you. Now look where it has gotten me.”

“Syaoran put the gun down.”

“No.” Sakura threw her knife at him and it stabbed his arm while he shot Sakura. She felt her own blood pouring from her arm. Syaoran looked up at her and hugged her. “See what you made me do Sakura? I loved you, I still do, but this is how you repay me?”

“Get off.” Syaoran tackled her to the ground. She could barley move as he pinned her to the ground. She got her left leg loose and with as much force as she could, she brought her knee up and slammed it into his groin. He yelped in pain and rolled off of her. She got up, found the gun and shot him in the head “I'm sorry Syaoran.” After saying this Sakura passed out.
