The two had been sharing the couch for an hour now in silence. Faye was against the back of the couch and Spike took the spot between Faye and the edge of the couch. Each were on opposite sides of the sofa. Spike had been moderately comfortable but Faye seemed to be restless and unhappy with the arrangement.
Faye turned over for the fourth time since they had been on the couch. She growled, she just couldn't get comfortable, there was limited room and his feet kept poking her. Turning over again she heard him sigh with frustration and growl out, "Would ya stop moving? You're getting annoying."
Faye squinted her eyes in the dark and scowled, "Don't tell me what to do," she hissed. Angered, she drew her leg up slightly and kicked his arm.
"Ow! What was that for?" He drew back his leg as well and kneed her in the thigh.
Faye gritted her teeth, she'd wait till he fell asleep and than she'd put a pillow over his head! Or better yet, she could do that now. She sat up hastily and grabbed her pillow; lifting it above her head she brought it down to Spike's unsuspecting head.
Well sort of.
Spike had opened one eye noticing Faye had moved to a sitting position and he frowned when all he seen was fluffy off-white. Opening both eyes he realized it was a pillow, he also realized Faye was going to suffocate him with it! Reaching up he grabbed her hands and tried to push her away, "What the hell is wrong with you?!"
"I'm sick of you is what!"
"Stop this Faye, you're crazy!"
"As soon as you're out of my hair I'll be fine!"
"What's this all about?" he gritted his teeth and with one last push he threw her back so she would lay back on the couch.
Faye grunted and almost screeched when she was tossed off of him, but because she knew Jet would wake up if she did, she kept as quiet as possible.
Spike sat up and grabbed the pillow from her, he tossed it to the other side of the room and looked down at her, "Now what's all this crazy woman, PMS stuff all about?"
Faye scowled, "You're the crazy one with your stupid sleep walking and sleep sleeping or whatever that is!"
Spike looked at her in confusion, "What sleep walking, sleep sleeping stuff?"
"Oh don't act like you don't know!" she yelled in a hushed voice.
"You ARE crazy woman, I don't sleep walk! I go to sleep and wake up on this couch every day!"
She sat up and spat in his face, "Oh bullshit!"
Spike's eyebrow twitched, 'What's she babbling about? I don't sleep walk.' "Tell me Faye, if I sleep walk how is it that YOU know and haven't said anything till now? And why doesn't anybody else know, and what is it that I DO when I sleep walk? Huh?"
Faye quieted and frowned, she looked down at her lap. 'So he really doesn't know? Maybe I should tell him, but… What would he think?'
"That's what I thought," he said before laying back on the couch.
Faye looked up hearing this, "Thought what?"
He put his arms under his head for support as he laid comfortably on his back, "You're lying."
"I am not! You really do sleep walk! I was going to ask Ed to set up a camera to have proof but than-" she stopped remembering the night before. 'I couldn't ask Ed to tape something like THAT,' she thought. She growled to herself, 'He thinks I'm lying?! That ass!'
Spike sat up and raised an eyebrow at her, "Than what?" he asked.
She shook her head and crossed her arms over her chest, "You don't believe me so it doesn't matter," with that she laid back down and turned to face away from him hoping desperately that he'd drop and forget the subject. If he tried anything tonight she wake him up for sure. That would show him.
Spike sighed, "fine, whatever! I'm not gunna stay awake and listen to all this crazy talk anyways." With that he laid back down and turned to his side so he wasn't facing her.
Faye mentally kicked herself for even attempting to say anything about his sleepwalking problem. She should have seen it coming, after all he thought her to be just a liar and a thief, so there was no point in trying to reason with him on the subject. She sighed wondering if he'd try anything tonight. For the rest of the night Faye tried to stay awake so she could prove to him that she wasn't in fact lying. But, Faye being only human eventually feel asleep thinking about how she was going to possibly wake him up.

F aye shot up into a sitting position and looked around. "What?" she said to herself. 'Did he try anything last night? I don't recall ever waking up," she frowned. She looked to the opposite end of the couch and noticed that Spike was not there. She sighed and stood up, she'd go find Jet to see if her room would ever be livable again.
"Jet?" She asked walking into the kitchen.
"Sleep well?" came an unhappy, sarcastic reply that came from someone who wasn't Jet.
Faye scowled, "No! Your lumpy ass was in the way!"
Spike laughed bitterly, "You must be talking about your own ass, Faye. Mine happens to be quite firm, if I do say so myself." he gloated.
"Trust me Spike, your ass is nothing to boast about." Faye replied wryly. If she hadn't been so angry at him she would have secretly agreed, but at the moment all Spike was, was a lumpy-assed bastard. (A/N Yeah, he's got something to gloat about ^^)
"C'mon Faye, stop denying it. You know you enjoyed sleeping with me last night." He took a puff of the cigarette he had just lit.
"You make it sound like it was more than that Spike, has it really been that long since you last had a woman even sleeping next to you?" Faye left before he could answer. She wanted to find Jet, she wanted her room back. And DAMN that man for not making any moves last night!
…Not that she wanted him to or anything. Really, cause. She didn't. Nope. Not at all.
Faye looked in the hangar first thinking he might be fixing something, then checked the small room he stored his bonsai trees in, after looking around the ship she decided to go to her room to see how bad it was. Surprisingly the door was wide open and the smell was hardly there. Of course you could still smell what little remained but it was a livable smell, one you could get used to in time. She half smiled thinking the day would be better than yesterday.
"Jet?" Faye asked peering around the door frame.
"What?" Jet said roughly as he flapped a towel towards a small broken window he had propped open with a metal rod from God knows where. He had been airing her room out all morning like this and was tired and irate… just a little.
"I see you've been working, so can I sleep in my own room tonight?"
"If ya don't mind the smell," he said sarcastically sweet.
Faye smirked, "I see," she stepped into her room and began to rummage through her dresser drawers.
Jet stopped with a sigh of relief, pulled the bar from the open window letting it swing shut, he locked it tightly and left the room to go do whatever it was he did during the day. Faye shut the door behind him and dressed in a pair a short jean shorts and white tank top and placed a blue head band in her hair. She sniffed her clothes and twisted her face in a "I-ate-something-sour" kind of way. "Damn that man, now I have to smell horrible, too!"
"You just NOW realized that?" Spike said through the door passing by.
"Shut up!" She yelled opening the door and then slamming it. She grabbed some body spray from her dresser and sprayed it in an X across her body. She could deal with this. This wasn't a problem. Its not like she had to go out and see other people anyway, and the other residences of the ship didn't count as people.
"Faye, I need you to go get some groceries!" Boomed Jet's voice from out side of her room.
Faye's eyes squeezed tightly (her face looked kinda like this >.<) and her fingers rolled into tight fists at her sides.
Breath.
In, out.
In, out.
Jet doesn't have to die, yet.
Give him one…
Two…
Three…
"Damnit Jet!" Faye marched out of her room slamming it open so hard the walls shook with a metal ting. "I can't go out at a time like this! That ass monkey should go! I have things ta' do!" She screamed her fist hitting the wall hard enough so that a bruise would appear on her hand later.
Jet grumbled, 'women and, gr! Just women! Bah humbug!' "Faye I have go to get these repairs done today or we aren't leaving this planet! You stay on this ship practically for FREE! The least you could do is get some food!"
"Well why can't fro-boy just go?" Her eyebrow twitched, that man was very annoying. He didn't even have to be around to be annoying, it was just everything about him. If you looked up "annoying" in the dictionary, his picture would be by it and the definition would say something like "asshole; Spike," or something like that.
"What about me?" strolled in Spike.
Faye gritted her teeth, "Why don't you take your lazy ass to the store!?"
"Fine! I'm not listening to this, I gotta get that work done! Spike, Faye, you're both going! You can use the buddy system like the children you are," Jet grumbled and turned leaving the two exasperated and angry.

"Would you walk over that away you making me walk in the street!" Faye practically yelled.
"I've been walking in the same line for the passed 10 minutes, you're just paranoid," he rolled his eyes.
Faye grumbled and turned sharply into the mini-mart. It was of course mini, and the signs posted in the windows claimed they had the best prices. The young cashier, a teenage boy, watched as Faye walked up and down the short isles looking for the few things Jet wrote down on the "shopping list". Spike strolled through the isles on the opposite end of the store. Faye found the three items they needed, or the items they could actually afford and walked to the counter to spill the small load out. She smiled to the cashier while leaning over the counter on one elbow as he rang up the groceries. All the while Spike still strolled around the store casually. The boy's eyes weren't really paying attention to the items he rang up and so he only rang up two of the items and with out realizing it he put them in the bag with the receipt and handed her the bag. If he hadn't remembered to take the money she would have just walked out, but he managed to stutter out the first bits and she handed him the money. He gave her the change and she sauntered out without having to say a word. Spike followed soon after his casual look in place.
About a block down Faye pulled out a pack of gum and a pack of cigarettes with a smirk. Spike pulled out a carton of cigarettes, a hot dog, a few cans of assorted food, and a bottle of wine. Where he had managed to hide it, we may never know, come to think of it, we might not want to know. Faye glanced over and had to take another look, "How'd you get all of that?"
He shrugged and dropped the assorted cans in the bag she was carrying. Faye rolled her eyes, "Show off."
"If you didn't smell so bad you probably could have duped the boy into letting you have all that for free."
Faye's eyebrow twitched, "At least I bought something instead of not paying for anything, I'm not a total criminal." She retorted.
"You only paid for what you paid for because it wasn't your money."
Faye gasped in disbelief, "What's that supposed to mean?!" She stopped and turned to him.
"Nothing," he shrugged and kept walking.
Faye stared after him, 'Ooooooh that MAN!' One of these days she'd show him!

< p>Perhaps she'll show him in the next chapter?
Sorry for the long wait, I got writer's block and then had lots-o-homework and trying to keep in contact with the outside world.
