The lights on the rooftop flickered and died down as Vicious stepped forward, brandishing his sword. His dark eyes glinted in the mute natural light as he scanned the area for his advisory.

"Find her," he hissed and his pet complied.

"All of this could have been avoided if you had just given me what I wanted. I would have laid with you too," she said.

"You would have slept with me like a black widow. You would have exhausted me sexually then killed me."

"True. Now I'm just going to kill you."

She fired her gun and Vicious dodged the bullet aimed directly at his head. Vicious fired his handgun, using the short cease fire to his advantage. He ducked behind some empty storage boxes and tried to predict her next move. He knew he hadn't hit her, so he gathered that she must be using a shield of some sort.

"My aim wasn't that bad," he muttered.

"Are you hiding from me, Vicious? How cowardly. Very well then. I'll just have to use a more powerful weapon."

"Bitch."

His ears became alert at the sound of rolling wheels. She had released a homing droid. He didn't know what the machine was armed with, but he knew that it was a tactic designed to flush him out. He reached into his suit pocket and took out four palm-sized disks. Miniature detonators.

They weren't perhaps as powerful as the full scale ones, but the results were enough. He stepped forward, leaving the detonators at irregular intervals behind him. He stopped sharply and fell to the ground as a barrage of bullets sailed overhead. He stepped forward, leaving the detonators at irregular intervals behind him. He stopped sharply and fell to the ground as a barrage of bullets sailed overhead. He got to his feel just as one of the detonators went off.

In the blinding light and shrapnel Vicious sped towards his foe. The explosions from the other detonators provided cover for his footsteps as he thrust his sword. Her scream rose above all other noises and the fighting below ceased. Vicious withdrew the sword from his foe's chest and watched her fall to the ground. The was nothing enticing about her cleavage now, he mused as he watched his bird take its place on the body to pick at the remains.

He thought of how Rei had been when she found the body of her father. It hadn't been a pretty sight, he mused as he thought of how he had to commit her. He had no other choice. He wiped the blood off his sword and sheathed it. He tapped his communicator for a moment then swore at the static.

"Damn! I can't reach him! Perhaps sending them to Earth wasn't a wise decision," Vicious said as he switched to another communicator. "Where are you Sanders?"

"At the lab," Sanders' voice replied.

"Get over to my office. I need your assistance."

"What happened?"

"I used four miniature detonators."

"Not all at once, I hope."

"I'm not stupid," Vicious replied, his voice rasping slightly.

"All right. Just hold on and I'll get there as soon as I can. You shouldn't have much to worry about from the Blue Dragons. AT least not for now."

"Get over here. I'm not listening any more."

He switched off the communicator and winced in pain. When the detonators exploded, he had gotten numerous metal shards embedded into his skin. The cape had helped shield his body, but it hasn't been enough. He tried contacting Earth once again but to no avail. Why did he feel the need to see her all of a sudden? He wondered if it was because of his injuries that he desired to see her or was it perhaps something more? He allowed his body to sit in amongst the debris and closed his eyes. The air around him was silent except for the ripping sound his bird made as it picked at the remains. He reached a hand into his pocket and pulled out a cigarette. He sighed as he lit it and stared at the darkened sky above. It had most certainly been one hell of a night.
