Title: Ain't Nothing But Magick (Reverse)
Author: J'dee, Mabelle, & Tobias
Rating: PG-13 some smoking and drinking refs…
Genre: Drama / Humor/ Action / Adventure / Romance
Author's Note: The original ANBM was a fic where 25 authors + were pulled in to the DBZ/GT world, the reverse is just that… a reverse where a select number of anime characters are yanked in to the real world, with not a true reason why, and no idea how to get back to their home…
Chapter Three
Sanzo saw the glare J'dee's friend made at them then ending on Gojyo the woman was protective, overly. He hated to admit it but she would have to be filled in before she got in the way.
“Wow she looks pissed.” Goku remarked dunking the oreo in a glass of milk. Before shoving it in his mouth. “YUM!!!!” The youth exclaimed. “Soooo good.”
Gojyo lent on the balcony and he waved his hand to J'dee and she waved back before running to follow Belle in to the apartment.
“Control your hormones.” Sanzo snapped.
Hakkai just cleared his throat. “Well we've made Belle aware of us. We do need to make contact with her team properly and show them the files. Before…” He trailed off.
“The back up team arrives.” Gojyo finished. Sanzo saw the obvious frown on Gojyo's face.
They didn't need back up but obviously it was something Hakkai and Gojyo had wanted to mention to J'dee. But to find the way to tell her that because `they couldn't kill her' it didn't mean others wouldn't come to do the job.
Sanzo frowned. `She's only human… what the hell will that asshole send next to make sure she dies?'

“This is such a bad idea!” Misato said. They were standing in the new and improved barn. Washu had gone above and beyond Tobias's request to repair the barn and had enclosed the inside in a small subspace pocket. The inside of the bar was now a small mech hanger.
Well small by Washu's standards which means you could collect the entire Gundam series inside and still have room for the Evangelions, but you get the point.
“Look Washu wants some data on how Jehuty performs. I'm the only one who has a clue on what she can do.” Tobias said. He was sitting in the cock pit, and was acquaint himself with the controls. It's on thing to control the mech with a Playstation 2 controller; it was another to pilot it. The others were standing on the retractable walkway that led to the cockpit. Washu was double checking the data node she had installed to monitor the mech and Shinji was just staring at it in awe.
“But we have no idea what this thing will do when you activate it!” Misato said. As a Nerv officer, she was concerned about this thing going nuts like Unit 01 had.
That was not something they needed to see on the 11 o'clock news.
“Misato, I told you, Jehuty is not like an Eva. There are no biological components, only mechanical parts, a battle AI, and the metatron ore. That concerns me the most.” Tobias said and turned to Washu who had just finished her last systems check. “Any luck making some?”
“No.” Washu said a look of irritation on her face. “You were right. The properties of metatron are too complex to make, as I am.” Washu said. Tobias grinned. During the past three hours, Tobias had dropped the bomb that he knew about Washu's goddess self while they were examining the mech. After the initial shock had worn off the others, Washu had revealed that what had brought them here was also blocking her from returning to that form. She had tried, moments after regaining consciousness, to no avail.
That was not very encouraging.
“Okay, all systems are a go! You ready Toby?” Washu asked. A look of boyish joy filled Tobias's face as he grinned.
“Hell yes! This is a dream come true!” Tobias said. The others couldn't help but grin back, even Shinji.
“Okay, retracting walkway now.” Washu said, and hit the control panel. The walkway began to retract. “Go whenever you're ready!”
Tobias took a deep breath and hit the pad to close the cock pit. He saw a grid pattern slowly fill over his head as the cockpit canopy materialized over him and sealed perfectly smooth.
<Welcome. I am ADA, the battle AI for this mech. I detect a new runner. Please stat your name.> A feminine computerized voice filled the cockpit.
“I'm Tobias Fiften.” Tobias said, and couldn't help but grin.
<Runner's name and biostats are entered. Would you like me to run the training module?>
“Hell yes!”
~*~*~*~
“How much longer is it just going to float there?” Shinji asked curiously. They had made their way to the control room and watched as Jehuty was first released from the docking clamps that held it in place and then began to hover silently under the power of its thruster engines. Washu was already typing away as she analyzed them. All she would say was that the engine output was impressive.
Occasionally, Jehuty would move, a hand flexing here, a slight turn here, the arm blade had even deployed once and been swiftly retracted.
“Looks to me like he's getting familiar with the controls. We would have done the same thing with you Shinji, during your first time in Unit 1 if we hadn't been pressed for time.” Misato replied. No one noticed the roof's hanger doors sliding open silently. “He'll probably just get familiar with the controls and then shut it down for the-”
A loud whoosh cut her off as Jehuty launched out of the hanger.
Everyone stared at where the mech had been, and Misato felt her right eye begin to twitch.
“Well,” Washu began, smiling, “I wonder if your Evas can do that?”
Misato growled.
~*~*~*~
“YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!̶ 1; Tobias screamed in joy. Jehuty zoomed over the country side. According to ADA, Jehuty was only going at half speed and the ground below was speeding by. Tobias could just make out homes and other building as they passed. He grinned as he gently flexed his right hand on the right control ball and Jehuty zoomed up at a gentle angle. They passed into the night clouds and above. Tobias grinned at the starry sky.
`This,' he thought, `is why man dreams to fly.'
<Have you become well versed in my capabilities?> ADA asked, and Tobias forced Jehuty into some tight circles and barrel roles.
“I think so, ADA. We'll just fly for awhile.” Tobias said, grinning as they sped along.
<Might I ask a question?>
“Of course.”
<Now that I have defeated Aumaan, what is my purpose?> ADA asked. Tobias nodded to himself. That question answered a lot of his own questions. Since Jehuty landed in a fully repaired state, it must be from the end of series, after Aumaan was destroyed along with Anubis.
“That's a very good question ADA. You came to me by accident. You were some how brought to my world, which is many, many years in what could be considered your past.” Tobias said.
<I was aware of the discrepancies. The satellite and radio communications I have been monitoring have suggested that this is the early 21st century. How did I come to be in your possession?>
“I'm not sure, but me and Washu are trying to figure it out. Well mostly Washu.”
<My power reserves are not adequate for continuous use. If I stay at this power usage I will run out of reserves in two months. When that happens my memory core will no longer be able to store data and 6 months after that I will begin to lose data. I would be unable to function.> For an emotionless computer, Tobias could have sworn her heard concern in its voice.
“That won't happen. Washu will figure a way send you back or to get us some Metatron. I know it's not native to Earth but we'll figure something out.” Tobias noted they were passing over New York City. Damn, Jehuty moved fast.
“Hey, New York! I always wanted to visit here! Let's swoop down for a closer look!” Tobias throttled back and they slowed, gently lowering to pass over the city. “Damn this place looks beautiful like this.”
<I advise against this current course of action.>
“Oh come on ADA, live a little! Isn't that a great sight?”
<I merely state this because we have not turned on our radar cloak.> The computer chided.
Silence filled the cockpit, as that statement sunk in.
“You mean to tell me we've been flying for hundreds of miles and you didn't mention that we weren't cloaked form radar? ADA why didn't you tell me!” Tobias demanded.
<You did not ask.> She replied simply. Tobias groaned, and turned them into an abrupt u-turn and back into the clouds.
“Okay, activate it now!” He said annoyed. He heard a slight beep.
<I am unable to comply at this current time. We are currently being followed by two national guard F22A raptors.> ADA stated. Tobias groaned, as his radio came to life.
“Unidentified aircraft, this is National Guard Air Patrol, you will immediately land your craft at the following coordinates where it will be confiscated and you will be arrested for violating U.S. airspace!” The pilot order. Tobias groaned again.
“Ignore him ADA, we need to disappear. Can we outrun him?”
<Affirmative, however, we are currently being filmed by numerous news stations. We will need to enter maximum escape velocity to outrun the fighters and cameras without interfering with current flight plans. This will severely drain my current energy reserves which are only at 5 %.>
“The news too? Oh shit Misato is going to kill me and if Belle ever finds out about this she'll destroy what's left of me! I guess we have no choice, plot us the most fuel efficient course ADA.”
<Affirmative. Course plotted and ready.> A marker appeared on Tobias's screen.
“Let's do this!” Tobias slammed the throttle up. Jehuty's engines, which always gave off a light blue glow, increased dramatically, temporarily blinding the Raptor pilots as their target zoomed off, disappearing in seconds. The sonic boom reverberated back as they stared at the now empty sky in shock.
“Holy shit!”
~*~*~*~
Tobias ground his teeth as he felt the g-forces for him into his seat.
<You are not wearing the runner suit designed to lessen the stress from the force of my engines. You will pass out in three minutes if we do not throttle back.>
“H-h-how long until we can throttle down and engage the radar cloak?”
<Four minutes and 32 seconds to ensure that no one in the area can see us.>
“I can hold out!” Tobias said, and ground his teeth. He saw ADA put a small timer on the right hand side of the screen. He eyed it and watched. It seemed like an eternity as he watched. Each second it felt harder to breathe. With just a minute left he felt the darkness creeping in around his eyes. He was starting to slump when he heard ADA speak as if she was far away.
<Safe distance reached. Radar cloaked engaged.> Tobias forced his left arm to pull back on the throttle, and Jehuty eased down to dead stop. It hovered in the air, as Tobias took deep breaths.
“That,” he said between gasps, “was awesome!”

Ikkaku was falling asleep when the door next to him nearly squished him and Belle stood in the doorway. She was currently hidden from anyone standing on a balcony but she and the Shinigami could see each other clearly.
“Watch it!” Ikkaku hissed, glaring at the woman.
“What's up?” Kenpachi purred as he held a sleeping Yachiru.
“What do you know about those creeps?” Belle asked, rolling her eyes and tilting her head toward the balcony.
“They can apparently jump from that height and survive as well as summon weapons,” Yumichika stated and Belle's eyes seemed filled with fire before she started laughing. It was a confused and forced sound.
“We're each hiding a group of characters that couldn't possibly exist in this world,” she sighed before shaking her head. “I wonder if they're waiting on me.”
“What are you talking about?” Ikkaku asked and Belle looked at them.
“I showed you the manga of your world, well those creeps are from another one, and I'm betting that Toby is hiding one at his place,” she said as she chewed on a cuticle. Yumichika looked annoyed with her abuse of such healthy looking nails. “Weird, I guess they didn't get to killing J'dee or Toby either.”
“So what do you want to do next,” Yumichika asked and Belle sighed.
“I don't know, I'm kind of ticked that J'dee was hiding Sanzo in the building and didn't think to let me know…of course I am hiding Hisagi on her so I guess it's even,” she mused before shrugging. “I kind of want to torture her and make her squirm. Let her tell me the truth. Could you guys do your best at not being seen, I really want to make her suffer.”
“I love it when chicks talk all evil like that,” Ikkaku cooed and Belle slammed the door behind her.
“Rejected!” Yachiru chirped from the safety of Kenpachi's arms and the other two laughed at Ikkaku.

“They should be dead by now.” The figure lent against the wall.
He looked to the four large glass cages behind him. Only one of them looked like it had been used recently the skeletal remains of Daiken lying amongst the sand.
“Tell me about it… but you know who messed up on the summoning spell again… Fire got the wrong group for him.” The other figure rolled his shoulders stretching the muscles and listening to the bone pop as he continue to roll his shoulders back then forward.
“They're not dead which means they've gone sympathetic like Goku did.” The figure leaning against the wall glanced at the skeletal hand gripping a small orange sphere with four red stars inside the sphere. The four star dragon ball the only thing left of the Dragonball team, at least until Earth saw fit to release Goku from his status.
“So what do you suggest we do?” The other stopped rolling his shoulders.
“What else… use the gate… lets make this a round two and let's get it right this time.” He pushed himself up off the wall before walking out of the room the other figure following.
“Alchemy is forgotten on this side of gate.” He pointed out.
“Forgotten perhaps but not forbidden, now help me set up.”

The Next Afternoon…
J'dee slipped from the station and made the fifteen odd minute walk back to the apartment. She had the worst shift ever, and she felt the ice cold touch of `outsider' slapped on her. Not that they were bad people just frustrating people changing her shifts rotating them to the point where she wouldn't be able to get a second night time job to make ends meet before she hopefully managed to get on to the ship for her cruise ship work. She looked up at the sky swallowing lightly.
`Why am I trying to act like there's nothing weird going on here?' She thought to herself and paused looking at the apartment building in the distance. She was getting sick of having to just make each pay check last.
`Sucks I have to wait two years before I can go for my license here… knew I shoulda sat my international before I left.' She thought to herself with a sigh shoving her hand in her pocket pulling out a crumpled smoke and lit it. “Nicolas D. Wolfwood style.” She chuckled.
The figure followed behind her slipping from one shadow to the next phasing in and out so not to be spotted by the general population of the area. The flicker of a white tunic and red hair as he vanished then reappeared before vanishing again.
J'dee stopped taking a drag of her cigarette, she could feel it her stomach was cramping over and she knew that feeling all to well.
`Demonic energy.'
She turned round only to let out a startled grunt as he back slammed in to a brick wall, the wind being knocked out of her as well as her cigarette.
She flinched feeling her lower back throb the pain of the grip on her shoulders nails like claws seemed to dig in to the exposed skin. She glanced at the blood trickling down from the claw like nails they looked like they had almost been filed to a point in some weird vampire like fetish. Except she didn't know any vampires with blood red hair.
The head moved looking at her and she blinked finding herself staring in to violet eyes.
“Hoooooo shit… Kougaiji… not good.”
“Reverse it now.” He growled.
She blinked confusion on her face. “Reverse what?”
“The curse you put on Doku, Yaone and Lirin he said you cast the curse so you should be able to reverse it!” The demon prince growled.
“Curse what curse?!” J'dee exclaimed. “I don't curse… I hex… but not much if at all!”
“I don't care! Curse Hex Whatever… just… Reverse it!” He slammed her shoulders in to the brick wall again, harder this time.
J'dee flinched at the impact it was almost enough to rattle her brain, she managed to look down the road she could see the apartment complex at the end of the street. `Oh just bloody well great the one day they don't stalk me I need them.' She thought with a roll of the eyes.
~*~*~*~
Hisagi and Yumichika were at the door to the apartment with both of the girls gone it was a perfect time to meet with the other team. They were greeted by the polite one, Hakkai, they entered and waited for the others to get organized. Unfortunately Sanzo just sat there reading his newspaper and barely giving the two shinigami more than a second glance. Gojyo was sprawled on the sofa while Goku was sitting on the floor.
“Belle is aware of you,” Yumichika said, hiding the fact that Belle knew exactly who was in the apartment over.
“How?” Goku cried and all eyes slowly moved to Gojyo.
“What?! I didn't do anything!” Gojyo cried and Sanzo glared.
“Perverted water sprite,” he hissed under his breath and the two shinigami nodded.
“We're getting concerned, we all should have completed our missions weeks ago,” Hisagi said. “Those who sent us are sure to have noticed that we failed to kill our targets.”
“We're getting concerned, we all should have completed our missions weeks ago,” Hisagi said. “Those who sent us are sure to have noticed that we failed to kill our targets.”
“We're on the same train of thought,” Hakkai said as he placed two cups of tea before their guests. “The secondary team is going to be sent.” Both shinigami nodded.
“We're concerned because if someone wants them dead so badly to send us, who else will they send?” Hisagi stated.
“Damn, we need to start watching them better,” Gojyo hissed.
“Agreed,” Hisagi said before sipping his tea.
~*~*~*~
Roy raised a brow looking at the three figures, two guys one woman and all they seemed to do was drop a file on the table.
“From the Fürher… new mission and this is the team you've been allowed.” The `Leader' seemed to step back and Roy missed his face. The other two lingered in the shadows behind him
Stepping forward he picked up the file. Roy looked behind at the team. “Big group for three people.” All he was familiar with was his team of Hawkeye, Al, Ed, Havoc and Armstrong. The other lot he had no clue about.
“Split up in to three teams and take them out… the first teams failed. They went sympathetic.” The woman remarked. “Don't make the same mistake.”
“Sympathetic…” Ed muttered. “Why would we go…” He stopped as Roy turned one of the photos round making the teenager stop in his tracks.
“Brother… she looks like…” Al trailed off looking at the photo.
“We won't… go sympathetic… orders in the folder?” Roy asked picking it up flipping through the notes of schedules and routines.
“Yeah.” The other remarked and cracked his neck the noise made Roy's eye twitch in agitation. He was an obvious no brainer thug.
“We'll leave you to it.” The `leader' seemed to step back and the shadows swallowed him and his two companions up.
“Mysterious lot.” Havoc mumbled lighting a cigarette walking up to Roy looking over his shoulder at the file. “Oooh cute… so what's the orders?”
“I'll explain later… we want to split in to three groups.” He looked round spotting a dark haired guy leaning back against the wall. The military training was obvious by his height and stature alone, the large sword strapped to his back. Black turtle neck armor on his shoulders, black pants tucked in to black boots the only piece of color was the dark tan leather belt and straps going to under the armor on his shoulders and meeting in the middle of his back to hold the sword up.
“You.”
The dark haired figure looked over and motioned at himself. “Me?” He pushed himself up from the wall before walking up to Roy.
Roy nodded. “You look separated from the rest, military training?”
“Yes 1st Class.”
“Good enough.” Roy nodded again. “Okay you're with me and this lot. That group and that one there.” Roy motioned to the two groups left behind. “Will handle Belle and Tobias.”
“Why can't we-?” Ed began.
“I said we won't get attached… just looking at this woman I know you will.” Roy stated.
Al looked to the side. “He does have a point brother.”
“Just because she looks like her it doesn't mean she is!” Ed protested.
The added soldier to their group picked up the file flipping through it his eyes blinking at the photos…
“Something find your interest?” Hawke eye remarked.
He nodded his head. “I was the first through that gate… I heard them say something… you ought to hear.”
Roy looked to the soldier. “And that would be?”
`In the worlds… There is always someone who looks like them, acts like themand is them… the gate is the key to those worlds. If they were someone else… you could be free of all this… or if you bring them to me. I can offer a new freedom.'
Roy saw Ed blink for a moment. “You mean to say…”
“Who you think they look like, it's a possibility that it is them… in a manner of speaking.” He explained.
“Like an alternative mom?” Al asked.
Roy looked at the solider. “So you're telling me they're another version of someone one of us might know?”
“I don't know… but they believed it. `There can be only one…' is what he added.”
Roy looked to the other two groups handing each leader the file. “Your targets, their addresses, read the fine print and FOLLOW those orders, we don't want to waste time here. I don't know about you lot but I have somewhere I need to be.”
“Probably a date.” Ed grumbled.
~*~*~*~
J'dee grabbed at Kougaiji's hands trying to pry them from her shoulders. “I can't reverse anything… unless… I see them… unless I know what happened…” She looked up catching the violet eyes looking at her as if judging her words.
“They're not here… not this world.” Kougaiji remarked. “My world…”
“Tell me then… tell me what happened…How and when… ” She swallowed.
He let her go stepping back. “You didn't do it.” Like the realism of the situation was dropped on to his shoulders and he turned round walking down the road.
“Kougaiji! Wait…”
“I'll sort it out.” He remarked before phasing away leaving her standing there blinking.
She rubbed her shoulders before pulling her jacket up from where it was tied round her waist and slipping it on covering the marks.
Pulling out another crumpled cigarette she lit it before walking towards the apartment building.
“Wish you'd let me help…” She murmured.
~*~*~*~
Belle sighed as she stared out her window as a student worked on a late assignment. She really wanted to be back in the apartment with Pixie, Tuki, and J'dee. The two young cats really got her through tough times and now with her best friend, life was looking good. Of course, she was loathed to admit that she did care about her students. There was a flash of neon blue by the building and Belle blinked. Without alarming the student she moved so that she was standing next to the window.
It took a few moments but soon enough there was a man in white standing by her car. Belle glared, if it was some jerk planning on breaking into her vehicle he was in for a nasty treat when the alarm went off. Then he passed the side of the van next to her and Belle's breath caught in her throat. There was no mistaking that head of aqua hair.
“Grimmjow,” she whispered and the student looked up at her in expectation. “Nothing, keep working.” Her eyes went back to her car, but Grimmjow was gone. With everything that had been going on, there was no way it could be anyone but the Sixth Espada.
~*~*~*~
“I'm glad they agree with us. Tomorrow we'll make ourselves known in a formal introduction to Belle.” Hakkai remarked.
“Tch.” Sanzo scoffed lighting a cigarette.
“So while we say hey honey to Belle, those shinigami guys get to say hello to J'dee?” Gojyo asked.
Hakkai nodded. “That's the general idea.”
Goku chewed on beef stick looking at them. “So how are we going to say Hello to Belle then?”
“Like normal people Goku, we're merely going to knock on the door and say hello, maybe Belle might have an idea on who wants J'dee dead, if they don't know then I'm sure Belle might have some sort of idea.” Hakkai offered.
Gojyo pulled out his own cigarette lighting it up. He let the smoke billow round his mouth for a moment before exhaling the thin stream of white smoke. “We should give J'dee twenty-four hours notice maybe she might tell Belle.”
“Maybe but maybe not. Remember she's still trying to get used to having us around.” Hakkai pointed out.
~*~*~*~
Abel Nightroad stared at the file hard as did Havel, Leon, Tres, and Hugue.
“So we eliminate this Belle target and then we head back,” Leon said.
“That is the prime directive,” Tres stated. “Kill the target, bring to the listed coordinates, and place the corpse before a `gate.'”
“What does she look like?” Havel asked and Abel turned the page. There was a stunned silence from three of the members.
“Noel,” Abel whispered. “She could be her twin.”
“I don't believe this,” Leon hissed before looking at two of their party. It might be harder for Havel, Abel, or Leon to go for the kill, but Hugue and Tres, they would show no mercy.

“I don't like this Gene.” A small, brown haired boy said. He wore a gray leather jacket and had a pouch of tools on his side.
“You think I do Jim? I know who he looks like too but we have to do what we have to do. We need to get the Star back.” A tall, red headed man with scars replied. He wore large tan trench coat , and block clothes underneath. The holster of a gun was on his hip.
“Um, excuse me, but who does he look like.” A short, black haired woman asked. She wore a blue cloak that wrapped around her. Very petite and gentle she was.
“He looks like Jim's father, my old partner. The purple haired woman looks like his mother.”
“Whaaaaaaaat? We have to kill Jim's father to go home?” A cat girl with white hair and bulging muscles asked. She had large brown shoulder pads and a dark green dress with a tan front.
“I understand the unpleasantness of this task. Perhaps if you like, you may go somewhere else, while I deal with the matter at hand.” A tall, pale asian woman said. She moved with a gentle grace that belied her skill. She wore a white kimono with red trim.
“Look we don't need to decide right now. There's a house next to his for sale. I can hack a bank and get us the cash flow to buy it. Then we can decide from there what do. It's not like they gave us a time limit. Besides, maybe he can help!” The boy, Jim, said. The others turned to the red head, Gene as he thought.
“Okay it sounds like a plan to me. Maybe we can figure some of this out.” Gene replied. “Besides, there has to be a reason for this. I don't want to kill some one just because some one has us over a barrel. Maybe with his help we can get back at the bastards who did this to us!”
~*~*~*~
Roy walked out of the cave looking up at the sky and then to the flat ground that seemed to stretch on for as far as the eye could see.
“They could have provided us with some vehicles.” Havoc complained taking a drag of his cigarette.
“Over there sir.” Hawke eye motioned to several transport vehicles provided with symbols marked on the vehicles.
“Alchemy…” Ed moved up to one of the cars his hand moving over the symbol.
“Will it hold brother?” Al questioned.
“Yeah there's a slight difference in the symbols but the standard markings are the same. It'll hold.” Ed remarked.
Armstrong flexed his arms. “I'll drive.”
Hawke eye shook her head.
“Move out. We should get there by morning.” He handed the map to Armstrong. “You take the kids.”
Roy watched as the Solider moved to a motorbike slipping on to it. It was then he noticed the cross shaped scar on his left cheek, a battle wound obviously. “Soldier! Do you have a name?”
Blue eyes met Roy's and he saw the firm nod of the head as a raven bang fell in front of the man's right eye as his heel kicked the bike up to start.
“It's Zack… Zack Fair… 1st Class SOLDIER.”

J'dee reached the apartment building with a sigh stopping outside to sit on the steps of the building to light another cigarette.
She heard footsteps come down the steps and she turned round looking up.
“Hakkai…”
The brunette healer smiled at her moving to sit down next to her. Hakaryuu perched on his shoulder curled round, the little white dragon `kyuu'd' at her.
“You're hurt.” Hakkai remarked.
“Couple of scratches.” J'dee looked up at the sky watching the sun set in the distance over the buildings.
Hakkai nodded. “Are you okay?”
“Rain's coming…” She mumbled. “I'm always in pain when it's about to rain.” Her right hand absently rubbed across her stomach.
Hakkai watched her as she took a drag of the cigarette, Hakaryuu just let out another `kyu' looking in her direction.
“You should really get the wounds cleaned up.”
She let out a sigh and Hakkai watched her shrug the jacket off and he looked at the claw like nail marks that dug deep into her shoulders.
“I don't have anything except water and a face cloth, I'm not going to ask Belle for a medical kit, she'll worry.” She looked at Hakkai.
“Who was it?” He asked.
“They got to Kougaiji too, he's out there alone and extremely confused. The bastard told him I cursed Doku, Yaone and Lirin, they won't wake up but they're not dead either.”
Hakkai frowned. “Doku… Gojyo won't like that.”
“This asshole really wants me dead or something… just wish I knew who he was.” She flicked the ash to the side.
“We'll sort that one out later, you have dinner with Toby and Belle tonight… you shouldn't be too late.” Hakkai looked at her.
J'dee nodded her head slowly. “Can you guys… watch from a distance… if it's okay. I might feel a bit safer.”
Hakkai smiled warmly at her, his hands moving to the cuts and he heard her gasp as she felt the touch of his healing chi move over the wounds.
“Kyuu kyu kyu.” Hakaryuu chirped in.
~*~*~*~
Belle sighed as she got into the apartment and found Tuki and Pixie sleeping soundly meaning that J'dee had fed them. She dropped her school stuff on a dining room chair before heading to her room. She was quick to strip her teacher outfit off and get into a pair of comfortable jeans. She pulled on a white undershirt and a sky blue over shirt before pulling out her ponytail. With a quick brushing she put up a half tail before going to sit on a double cat bed that she used for a stool. She pulled off her nice socks and quickly pulled on a thick pair of socks and then pulling on her boots. It was the perfect weather for them, just a little cooler than comfortable. Since it was dinner with Toby, Belle would be sitting for most of it so the boots were just perfect.
~*~*~*~
“Look, I planned this months ago. It's a big welcome here dinner for J'dee. I can't take you, it's just supposed to be us three.” Tobias said as he finished getting dressed. He was still catching hell for his joyride stunt and when he broke the news he had to go out, Misato didn't take it too well.
“I still say we should go! We can't stay cooped up here!” She snarled through the door. Tobias sighed as he opened it. Misato paused in her rant to eye him.
“You look very handsome, surprisingly.” She remarked. Tobias gave her his best charming smile.
“I clean up pretty well. But back to point, I don't want you guys going out because you might be recognized. Okay you were drawn characters and people might not recognize you as flesh and blood, but if anyone found out who you are we would have a lot of problems.” Tobias said. As he picked up his car keys Misato frowned.
“Still doesn't mean I like it.” She said. They passed the living room where Washu was instructing Shinji on the fine points of relaxing.

“I'll be back soon. Just relax.” Tobias said, at the front door he paused.
“If you really want some thing to do, I have an anime series based on you and Shinji. Watch it. If you do, you might be able to fix some things in your future.” He said and headed out. As he headed for the garage he missed the grinning and mischievous faces of his new roomies.

J'dee moved through her room stopping by the window to look out it, she just chose to wear a pair of dark navy slim jeans with a plunging v neck top a boob tube underneath due to it plunging a bit to far and it being they were having dinner with Toby after all. The top had a white tie attachment. Slipping in to the Mary Jane heels, she pulled her long hair up in to a pony tail flicking it round in the tie several times till it fell to the left side coming out of tie.
She stopped looking at the reflection; it was good enough for a dinner meal nothing to classy, but not to untidy either. Placing her hands on the vanity she let out a breath her shoulders were starting to ache just a bit and she pulled the short sleeves up to look at the healed skin.
Letting the sleeve go it dropped back down.
`Don't worry her… it's nothing.' She told herself walking out of the bedroom she nabbed her smokes from the table beside the door.
Heading to the balcony she moved there to light a cigarette while Belle was still in her room. Leaning on the balcony, she let out a sigh her fringe falling over her right eye.
“Stupid pain.” Her hand moved over her abdomen and she looked up as the rain started to fall lightly and she shook her head. “Knew it was going to rain.” She mumbled to herself pushing herself up straight she felt the look from the balcony a couple of doors over, she turned and looked seeing Sanzo standing there.
They exchanged looks with nothing said, before Gojyo walked out behind Sanzo slapping him on the back.
“Ready to play bodyguard monk?”
Sanzo grumbled something incoherent before stubbing out his smoke and heading inside.
Gojyo looked at J'dee and just shrugged. “He's annoyed you want us all to follow.”
“I figured… just please behave.” She took a drag of the cigarette and looked behind seeing Belle coming out of the bedroom. “I have to go… stay at a distance, don't let her see you.”
Gojyo smiled. “I will honey… go have a good time.”
J'dee gave him a small smile before slipping inside.
