Another day and another chapter of this story is coming up and like I said in the commentary of the last chapter, the identity of the fifth Signer, Crow’s successor in my story, is going to be revealed in this chapter. I’ve tried my best to match up the personal types of Jack, Luna, and Crow from Yu-Gi-Oh 5ds with the new Signers of my story here through Naruto can be called a combination of Jack, Crow, and he may also have a hint of Yusei in the term of friends with him. The one that’s going to inherit Crow’s Signer Dragon has plenty of Crow in him, but he also might be considered to have a bit of Jack and Yusei in him too. I would like to give thanks and credit to Arrick Haun and this author’s story of ‘Kasumi: The Last Signer’ for the idea of Leaf Village’s Duel Academy. And before I end this commentary, the other Egyptian God Cards, Obelisk and Slifer, are going to be returning too, but you are going to read to find how and when, everyone!

Naruto 5Ds: Shinobi Signers

Chapter 11: The Skills, Blades, and Dragons of Legend

At this time, we find ourselves at one of the many hot springs of the Leaf Village where we find Naruto, Ryu, Ayane, Ninja Ryu, Momiji, and Haku in front of Jiraiya, another of the legendary Sannin like Orochimaru through unlike the snake ninja, Jiraiya is loyal to the Leaf Village, who is trapped by a series of Swords of Revealing Light made real by Ayane’s Psychic Duelist powers.

Ryu asks, curiously, “So, this is the guy that trained your father, Naruto?”

Naruto says, with a plain tone, “That’s what the Old Man told me.”

Ayane says, with a snort, “He is just a dirty old man.”

Jiraiya yells out, annoyed, “I resent that young lady! I was doing research for my latest book.”

Haku asks, curiously, “Research?”

Jiraiya says, with a sly grin, “I am a writer of good books. Surely, you have heard of my Icha Icha series.”

Naruto yells out, annoyed, “What? You are the writer of that smut that Kakashi-sensei reads?!”

Jiraiya yells out, indignantly, “How dare you?! It is not smut! It is art!”

Ayane says, annoyed, “You call that stuff art?! You wouldn’t know art if it bit you on your pervert ass!”

Naruto yells out, annoyed, “Novel, my ass! It is just an excuse for you to peek at the girls in the bathhouse!” Just then a lot of females screaming came from nearby and they hear a lot of running out of the hot spring.

Jiraiya calls out, shocked, “Oh no!”

Haku thinks in her mind, scratching her head, “This is the legendary Toad Sage, Jiraiya of the Sannin?”

Naruto says, punching his fists together, “Anyway, you have got some explaining to do, Pervy Sage!” Immediately, however, the Swords of Revealing Light vanish as quickly as they appeared in which the toad under Jiraiya vanishes.

Haku asks Ayane, “What just happened, Ayane-sama?”

Ayane replies, a bit nervously, “I guess that the Swords of Revealing Light work only a brief time at best because the swords last for three of the opponents turns in a duel and three turns which are five to six turns between the user of the card and his opponent vary in turn length.”

Ryu says, pointing to Black Rose Dragon (2400/1800), “However, if you are thinking of getting away, forget it. My sister’s dragon is still here.”

Naruto says, with a foxy smile, “And you have got me to deal with, Pervy Sage!”

Jiraiya asks, with a smirk, “You think that I can’t deal with a Genin, kid?” Naruto closes his eyes, points his left hand right at a tree, and when his eyes shoot open, they are Rinnegan eyes! Jiraiya thinks in his mind, stunned, “Those eyes!”

“Shinra Tensei!”

Naruto then unleashes a powerful gravity force that sends the tree flying across the village and lands in an unused training field which shocks Jiraiya greatly!

Naruto says, with a wide smirk, “I’ve had a ton of practice with these babies, Pervy Sage! So, go on and make my day!”

Ninja Ryu tells Jiraiya, “And you are indeed not seeing things, Jiraiya-sama. They are the legendary Rinnegan.”

Jiraiya says, with a plain tone, “That’s quite obvious, Hayabusa-sama.”

Momiji asks, surprised, “So, you know who we are?”

Jiraiya says, with a smirk, “What kind of Sannin would I be if I didn’t know about the Hayabusa clan and its lovely Dragon Shrine Maidens, my dear? And I must say that they have some pretty flowers.”

Ayane and Naruto yell out in unison, annoyed, “Don’t get any ideas!”

Naruto grabs Jiraiya by the neck and he yells out, strongly, “And now, Pervy Sage, you are going to give me so answers! You are my freaking godfather! My father was counting on you and you deny his last wishes by going off after that snake freak?! And don’t give me the excuse of that whole heritage thing!”

Jiraiya replies, nervously, “Whoa! Whoa! It isn’t like that Naruto!”

Naruto says, with a snort, “What does it seem like, Pervy Sage? Because it looks like it to me! You could have at least visited me once in awhile!”

Jiraiya tells Naruto, “I actually wanted to take you out of the village and I tried every excuse without revealing your heritage, but those bastards and bitches in the civilian council had bring about some good enough points to deny me you… Well, in front of the Old Man’s eyes. I thought that I had insurance from the Old Man that you would be just fine.”

Naruto yells out, annoyed, “Not good enough, Pervy Sage! The Old Man said that he told you that he would do the best he can, but with that rotten civilian council on his ass, he was getting blocked at every turn! Yeah, I know the Old Man should have done better because he was the Hokage for crying out loud and I let him have it myself for those mistakes! But that doesn’t excuse for not seeing me at least once and awhile!”

Jiraiya tells Naruto, nervously, “It wasn’t like that, Naruto! I wanted to see you, but I…”

Naruto says, with a snort, “Looking for that snake freak, Orochimaru? The Old Man told me about that you had a spy network through he couldn’t say anything else about it, but that’s no excuse!”

Ayane says, annoyed, “Is your own godchild, the son of your greatest student, who you considered a son, is far less important than finding a teammate that betrayed you?! You have no honor!”

Jiraiya yells out, annoyed, “That’s pushing it, kid!”

Naruto says, grabbing him by the neck, “No, I don’t think she is pushing enough and you know it, Pervy Sage! Tell me one good reason why I shouldn’t do something to you so horrible that you would have nightmares for years and that was after I beat the crap out of you? And by the way, I fought that snake freak one on one and the only thing that saved him is that he is better skilled than me!”

Jiraiya asks, stunned, “You fought Orochimaru one-on-one?”

Naruto says, with a smirk, “Yep! He got in a few good hits, but so do I! And you want to know why? It is real simple! The fuzz ball that dad sealed into me has lost all of its power to me! And I mean both its yin and yang chakra!”

Jiraiya yells out, stunned, “That’s impossible! Minato said that no one can channel half of the fox’s chakra without destroying themselves. You can seal the whole thing within a human, but a human’s body can’t handle channeling more than half.”

Ninja Ryu tells Jiraiya, “That would be true, if Naruto-sama had his ‘old seal’. It is a bit of story, Jiraiya-sama…”

Jiraiya says, with a plain tone, “I already know, Hayabusa-sama.” Jiraiya then gets out of Naruto’s grip and he says, with a plain tone, “The Old Man told me through letters that managed to get through to me on my way back here when I was tracking down that snake. Personally, I couldn’t believe that a powerful entity like the Crimson Dragon really existed through I respected the legend, but remembering that immense energy that wasn’t anything like the fox that was felt throughout the Elemental Countries over a month ago made me think.”

Ryu says, revealing his ‘Mark of the Dragon’, “You don’t need to think. You have your proof.”

Ayane and Naruto reveal their ‘Marks of the Dragon’ and Haku says, with a plain tone, “These three are three of the five warriors of the Crimson Dragon, the legendary Signers themselves.”

Jiraiya says, with a whistle, “Don’t that beat all.”

Naruto says, annoyed, “Don’t change the subject, Pervy Sage!”

Jiraiya gives a sigh and he thinks, “He is exactly like Kushina, much to my displeasure.” Jiraiya says, holding out his hands, “All right, gaki, you got me. Look, Naruto, I won’t try to deny anything that you said. You have a point. I should have at least checked up on you and to be honest, if I saw what I heard from the Old Man in his letters, I would have taken you out of the village, councils be damned, kid. But I let my anger towards the Old Man during my first attempt and my obsession with my former teammate get to my head. However, if you want to learn your father’s jutsu, you’re going to need me, gaki. You may have your mother’s talent for ninjutsu, which I must say was excellent, but even she needed a guide to show her the way.”

Naruto says, with a sigh, “Okay, Pervy Sage, you’ve got a point.”

Jiraiya yells out, annoyed, “Stop calling me, brat! You are just as bad as your mother and your dad!”

Naruto says, with a foxy smirk, “Runs in the family, Pervy Sage.”

Jiraiya thinks in his mind, rolling his eyes, “Don’t I know it, brat!”

Naruto says, with a smile, “There is one more thing, Pervy Sage.” Naruto then bashes him right in the top of his scalp and he yells out, “This is for peeking at my mother when she was swimming with friends that day!”

Jiraiya yells out, stunned, “What? How?”

Naruto says, with a smirk, “My dad told me in one of the letters that he left me to do that for him since you managed to get away before my mom and dad could get you.”

Jiraiya thinks in his mind, annoyed, “Minato, you are one real pain in the ass!” Jiraiya thinks in his mind, curiously, “But he has the Rinnegan and control of the fox’s full chakra, not just the half sealed in him by his father?! Maybe Minato was right to think that his son was the true ‘Chosen One’ of the Toad Prophecies!” Jiraiya says, with a plain tone, “Okay, gaki, follow me. I need to know about this new seal and your abilities before we get onto training. And don’t argue! You want your father’s jutsu? You are going to need to follow my orders and by the way, give me an update! Who is your opponent? And what’s the whole situation? I’ll need to know if I’m going to train you properly.”

Ryu says, with a plain tone, “Naruto is our friend, my friend. And he is a fellow Signer.”

Ayane says, with a nod, “Where he goes, we go.”

Jiraiya says, with a plain tone, “Okay, just don’t in the way of his training.” Jiraiya then heads off with the others following behind him in which they are wondering if he is all that he is said to be.

(On the meanwhile; Elsewhere in the Leaf Village)

Inside of the Hokage’s tower, we find the Third Hokage meeting with Hayate himself and discussing something with him in the Hokage’s office.

Third Hokage asks Hayate, “How is Neko, Hayate?”

Hayate says, after coughing, “She is doing well, Hokage-sama.” After Hayate coughs some more, he says, “She is suffering from aftereffects of the intruders mind-control from the Millennium Rod and Inoichi-sama checked her making sure that there is no subconscious connection with the rod.”

Third Hokage says, with a nod, “Good, Hayate. I wanted to make sure that if the Rod fell into wrong hands, again, there would no connection to their minds still left over and allow anyone else to take control of them.”

Hayate asks Third Hokage, “Hokage-sama, I heard reports of someone managing to penetrate the barrier, but no evidence of any intrusion was found. Is it true?”

Third Hokage says, with a plain tone, “It’s true, Hayate. However, I have ANBU looking into it, but I need you on something else.”

Hayate asks, curiously, “Kabuto?”

Third Hokage says, with a nod, “Kakashi has informed me that Kabuto tried to take Sasuke or kill him. We believe that he is working for Orochimaru formally as a spy before Kakashi exposed him when he made the attempt on Sasuke Uchiha.”

Hayate says, plainly, “I see, Hokage-sama.”

After Hayate coughs some more, Third Hokage tells him, “With Orochimaru having knowledge on Naruto as well, he may want to attempt to get him for his Rinnegan, but I know for a fact that Jiraiya has just returned to the village and met up with Naruto. So, for now, he will be safe.” Hayate’s widen at the mentioning of Jiraiya’s name, but he coughs after a bit.

Hayate tells Third Hokage, “I shall start my search for Kabuto immediately, Hokage-sama.”

After Hayate coughs some more, Third Hokage tells him, “Be careful, Hayate. If he is a spy for Orochimaru, he will be dangerous. His ability to escape Kakashi shows that he may have Jonin-level skills at least. And his ability to fool us for so long makes him that much more dangerous, Hayate.”

Hayate says, with a nod, “Understood *cough*, sir.”

(Rejoining Naruto; Later on that day)

Right now, we find ourselves within a wooden and bushed filled area of the Leaf Village besides a large stream leading to a good sized waterfall where we find Jiraiya in front of Naruto while Ayane, Ryu, Ninja Ryu, Momiji, and Haku are assembled around the two of them.

Jiraiya says, whistling, “Man, gaki! You are just like your mother! It seems like you are a magnet for trouble, but then again, so, was your dad.”

Naruto says, annoyed, “It’s not like I put a big bull’s eye on me, Pervy Sage.”

Jiraiya tells Naruto, “Well, you have one now. And so does your two new friends, Naruto. It was good for me to come back. You are going to need some help with all of this going on.” Jiraiya tells Naruto, “Anyway, I want you to access the fox’s chakra. I can’t be sure that your new seal is all that good unless I see it for myself.”

Naruto says, with a shrug, “All right, if you say so.” Naruto then focuses and his chakra cloak of the Kyuubi’s chakra appears along with his new seal.

Jiraiya looks at it for awhile and he says, with a whistle, “Okay, I’m convinced now! This seal is much more powerful than the one that your father and it looks like that it allows to focus all of the fox’s chakra because even through the yin chakra has the yang chakra recombined with it. It is not begin stored in your body alone. Not only that, it looks like the fox’s chakra is separate from you, but blocked from the fox itself rendering it powerless. I bet that it is screaming in anger and rage that it has been completely stripped of every last bit of its chakra. Plus, the part with the dragon has some kind of powerful energy inside of, much more potent than human or yokai chakra. If I’m betting man, that’s the power of the Crimson Dragon and that’s divine energy allowing you this to happen combined with your strong willpower ensuring that the fox can’t get back his power at all. As long as the seal stays strong and you do to as well as remain in the land of the living, the fox is permanent out of power and he has almost no influence on you. However, Hayabusa-sama is right. Your own human chakra is put on the side while you are using it. However, the Crimson Dragon’s own energy, while making sure that other demon’s, Red Nova’s, energy is out of contact with you, it is also restricting the fox’s ability to take your chakra in this regard. But even if it is a tiny bit, a tiny bit over time will take a toll on you and it is best that you follow Hayabusa-sama’s and the Old Man’s advice on this expect in cases right now, gaki.” Jiraiya motions for Naruto to stop using the fox’s chakra and he returns to normal soon after in which Jiraiya says, with a smile, “However, this is very impressive indeed. But I’m willing to bet that while you have managed to have some control over the fox’s chakra, you haven’t been able to use it to its full potential. However, I’m not surprised, Naruto. The full power of the Nine-Tailed Fox is massive and your father only planned for you to handle only half of the fox’s power which is a feet onto itself, gaki. You are going to need years to harness its full strength, Naruto.”

Naruto yells out, stunned, “I don’t have years!”

Jiraiya tells Naruto, with a plain tone, “No joke, gaki.”

Ninja Ryu asks Jiraiya, “Jiraiya-sama, are there people not after the Signers, but after Naruto?”

Jiraiya’s eyes widen and he says, with a sigh, “Why am I not surprised? Your father did say that you had insight like a hawk.”

Ayane asks, concerned, “Is there something after Naruto?”

Jiraiya says, with a plain tone, “Maybe. I didn’t want to inform the gaki now, but I think that it is for the best. In my times keeping an eye on Orochimaru, knowing that he would come back to the Leaf Village and it won’t be to say ‘hello’, I’ve been keeping an eye on him. During that time, he joined an organization known as the Akatsuki and they are made up upper rank ninja criminals. Orochimaru left the organization, but while the Akatsuki have been operating mainly under the radar, they have been searching for things. And with the information that you gave him that the fox told Naruto, I’m starting to get a bigger picture about the Akatsuki since they are also after the nine Biju.”

There are gasps of surprise and Momiji asks, stunned, “You mean the other demonic creatures like the Nine-Tailed Fox?”

Jiraiya says, with a nod, “That’s right, Momiji-san. And I was surprised to hear about Madara Uchiha being alive, but it starts to explain more about the fox’s attack on the village. And the Akatsuki… I think that Madara Uchiha and the Akatsuki are connected since they are after the nine Biju.”

Naruto yells out, strongly, “They are?!”

Jiraiya tells Naruto, “Whoa, gaki! You can’t run off after them! You have got the Rinnegan and fox’s chakra, but they rival Orochimaru in skill and ability, Naruto! They are S-class criminals, gaki! You are going to need to train and a lot until you are ready to take them on!”

Naruto says, with a serious tone, “That’s fine by me, Pervy Sage! I can’t let that ancient freak do what he did to me long ago!”

Jiraiya thinks in his mind, “Something really tells me that Minato was right! His son is the child of the prophecy and if that’s the case, he is going to need all the help that he can get!” Jiraiya says, taking out the large scroll from his back and he says, “First, gaki, I want you to sign the Toad Summoning Contract! Your father signed the contract before and I think that it is time that you did to.”

Naruto asks Jiraiya, “Toad Summoning Contract?”

Jiraiya says, with a nod, “It will allow you to summon toads just like the one you saw. They are all part of the Toad Tribe and Summoning is like a teleportation jutsu. You are teleporting in this case, a creature from one place, with the toads, their home, to wherever you are. However, there is a price to use Summoning Jutsu. In exchange, you need to give a small portion of her blood in return.”

Ayane asks, a bit disgusted, “Does he really?”
Haku tells Ayane, “In this life, nothing is every truly free, Ayane-sama. And it isn’t like he is giving up a huge portion of his blood. A minor amount usually suffices for Summoning Jutsu, but Naruto-sama needs to sign his name in blood to gain the right to summon the Toads like the majority of summon contracts. It is called a ‘blood pact’ meaning that both are bound together for as long as the ninja and the summon animals live.”

Jiraiya says, with a smile, “Correct, my dear!” Jiraiya tells Naruto, “Okay, gaki, your friend just explained what to do!”

Naruto says, with a shrug, “If my dad signed it, then okay!” Naruto bites his thumb and uses his own blood to sign his name in Japanese Kanji in the open space of the Toad Summoning Contract.”

Jiraiya tells Naruto, after rolling up the contract, “Okay, Naruto, these are the ninja hand signs for the summoning.” After Jiraiya shows him the hand signs to perform a Summoning Jutsu, he tells him, “Now, you’ll need to put a bit of your blood on the palm of your hand, focus as much of your chakra as you can, and summon. The more chakra that you use correctly for this jutsu, the more powerful a toad you will summon.”

Naruto says, putting a bit of his blood on his right hand palm, “Okay, Pervy Sage, sounds easy enough.”

Jiraiya thinks in his mind, with a groan, “Exactly like your mother, gaki.” Naruto then moves his hands through the hand signs that Jiraiya showed him and focused as much as chakra as he can.

“Summoning Jutsu!”

When Naruto slams his palm into the ground, he creates a huge amount of smoke covering him and everyone for a few moments in which a loud ‘thump’ is heard in which when the smoke clears, there is massive toad, the size of several or more story buildings, his toad skin is a rusty red color, he has a large scar over his left eye, but his eye is uninjured and can still be used, and he has a large blue vest on with a massive blade attached to his hip and he has is smoking on what looks like a corncob pipe.

Momiji says, amazed, “Incredible!”

Ayane says, shocked, “That’s one big toad!”

Jiraiya thinks in his mind, “Impressive. You didn’t need the fox’s chakra after all, but did you have to bring out Gamabunta?”

Ninja Ryu asks Jiraiya, “Isn’t that Gamabunta, the chief of the toads?”

Jiraiya says, with a sigh, “The one and only, Hayabusa-sama.”

The massive toad looks around and he yells out, in a gangster style voice, “Huh? Where in the heck am I? Jiraiya!”

Jiraiya yells out, with a sigh, “Down here, Gamabunta!”

When the large toad looks down, he yells out, “What are you doing down there? And why did you summon me here?”

Jiraiya says, pointing on top of Gamabunta’s head, “I didn’t summon you here, he did.” When Gamabunta looks up, he sees Naruto on top of his scalp looking down at amazed.

Gamabunta yells out, “Are you saying that this little snot summoned me?”
Naruto calls out, annoyed, “Little snot? Hey, you overgrown wart, I’m Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze, son of the Fourth Hokage! Believe it, pal!” Gamabunta’s eyes widen and he then uses his tongue to grab Naruto off his head much to many people’s surprise. Ayane was tempted to use her Psychic Powers, but Ninja Ryu stopped her.

When Gamabunta looks at Naruto, wrapped up in his tongue, he thinks in his mind, amazed, “He is the spitting image of Minato! Last time I saw him, it was the day of the Kyuubi attack and he was just a brat in Minato’s arms!” Gamabunta then puts Naruto down to the ground and he says, looking at Jiraiya, “It’s about time that you had him signing the contract, Jiraiya! I’m guessing that he is Kushina’s son!”

Jiraiya tells Gamabunta, “It’s that obvious, huh?”

Gamabunta laughs and he exclaims, “He is the spitting image of Minato, but his personality is exactly like Kushina! She called me the same thing that he did when we first met! However, I liked that woman! She knew the difference between toads and frogs!”

Naruto asks, curiously, “What’s to get confused about them? Toads are toads and frogs are frogs! They just look similar to each other!”

Gamabunta yells out, after laughing, “He is Kushina’s son! A real chip off her block!” Gamabunta says, with a smile, “Kid, we usually have a tradition between a new summoner and myself, the chief of the toads, where we drink sake to finish off the contract, but since you are young, even through you are technically an adult since you are a ninja, and you are Minato’s and Kushina’s kid, who I really liked, I’ll give you an IOU until you are older and allow you to summon any of us as you wish.”

Naruto yells out, excitedly, “Really? Thanks, Boss Toad!”

Gamabunta tells Jiraiya, glaring, “And you, you pervert, don’t let me catch you trying to corrupt Minato’s and Kushina’s son with your perverted ways or I’ll give you the smack down that Kushina would give you, got it?” Jiraiya nervously nods in reply and Gamabunta tells Naruto, “Later, kid! Keep your noise clean and make sure to summon me only for battle!”

Naruto says, with a nod, “Right!” Gamabunta then vanishes in a puff of smoke and Ayane and Naruto give giggles while Jiraiya gives an annoyed look on his expression. Naruto then stumbles back a bit and Naruto says, “Wow! That took a lot more out of me than I thought!”

Jiraiya tells Naruto, with a plain tone, “Summoning Jutsu takes quite a bit of chakra brat and summoning someone like Gamabunta takes quite a bit brat. I was surprised that you did it without using the fox’s chakra, but that power boost from taking both the Kyuubi’s yin and yang chakra must have increased your own strength enough to handle it or you have good enough chakra control to handle it without wasting any chakra.”

Naruto asks Jiraiya, “Okay, Pervy Sage, what about this jutsu that you are going to teach me?”

Jiraiya says, with a smile, “How about I show you instead, gaki? This is one of your father’s two legendary jutsu, so, pay attention!” Jiraiya then focuses on a large rock, he creates a sphere of swirling chakra in his right hand, and slams into rock causing to crumble into pieces with the small piece being fling all over the place in front of him.

Ayane says, amazed, “Whoa!”

Haku says, with a nod, “I agree, Ayane-sama. That’s one powerful jutsu.”

Jiraiya tells Naruto, “This is the Rasengan, an A-rank ninjutsu developed by your dad, gaki. This jutsu took him three years to develop.”

Naruto says, amazed, “Wow, three years? It must be something else!”

Jiraiya says, with a grin, “That’s right, Naruto! However, if you have your mother’s talent with ninjutsu, I’m sure that you will get it within the month until the finals.”

Naruto replies, with a confident tone and foxy smile, “A month?! I’ll get it down in half that time at most, Pervy Sage! Believe it!”

Jiraiya tells Naruto, “Okay, gaki! In order to master the Rasengan, there are three steps, but you are going to need some stuff to get started. You catch your breath and Hayabusa-sama and I will go into the village to get those supplies.”

Ninja Ryu says, with a nod, “It would be an honor to help, Jiraiya-sama.”

Jiraiya nod his head and he tells Haku, “Haku-san, on the meanwhile, get to work on explaining on how your Ice Release style works. Hayabusa-sama’s idea is quite a good idea and if the gaki can learn at least a few Ice Release jutsu, he can have an edge.”

Haku says, with a nod, “Of course, Jiraiya-sama.” Soon after, Jiraiya and Ninja Ryu leap off into the distance and Haku prepares to give Naruto an explanation on her bloodline and its special jutsu.

(Returning to the Hokage’s office; on the meanwhile)

Inside of the Hokage’s office, we find the Third Hokage looking at Kasumi right in front of him with a plain and critical look in his eyes while Kasumi has a calm look on her face.

Third Hokage tells Kasumi, “As I have explained to your sister before, you shall be granted sanctuary here in the Leaf Village, but as you know, you are a missing ninja, but because of your circumstances, you may have a light sentience of joining our village and you’ll be able to join our ninja forces without much trouble, if you wish it, Kasumi-san.”

Kasumi says, with a sigh, “I don’t know, Hokage-sama, but I don’t have much since I can’t rejoin my clan.”

Third Hokage says, with a nod, “You don’t have to decide right away, Kasumi-san. However, I can make sure that you are safe by putting you under the protection of the Namikaze clan and Naruto’s growing status these days, you will be just fine.”

Kasumi asks, curiously, “Where are the young Signers?”

Third Hokage says, plainly, “Naruto is with Hayabusa-sama, Momiji of the Dragon Shrine Maidens, and I also believe that Jiraiya is with him. The Fudo twins and Haku are also there with Haku to help train him to see if he can harness her Ice Release since he is holder of the legendary Rinnegan.”

Kasumi tells Third Hokage, “I see, sir.”

Third Hokage asks Kasumi, “Do you wish to see them now?”

Kasumi says, with a plain tone, “Not at this moment, Hokage-sama.”

Third Hokage asks, curiously, “Why not, Kasumi-san?”

Kasumi replies, “It is…”

Third Hokage asks, with a plain tone, “Ayane, your half-sister?”

Kasumi says, with a solemn expression on her face, “I never knew why she fought me, but when I learned the truth about Ayane and the reason behind her birth, I know why she was so mistreated and why she was jealous of me so.”

Third Hokage tells Kasumi, “Naruto knows how your sister feels since he has gone through much the same thing in his life. You must know the life of a Jinchuriki.”

Kasumi says, with a nod, “I understand, Hokage-sama.”

Third Hokage tells Kasumi, “Do you wish to see your sister first before going to the Signers?”

Kasumi says, with a nod, “I do, sir. We have somewhat resolved our differences, but I want end this as I want to end my clan’s hunt for as well as finally see my brother, Hayate, again.”

Third Hokage says, with a smile, “I believe that can be arranged in the future, Kasumi-san. For now, your sister and Rachel, a friend of Hayabusa-sama’s, shall be returning any day now due to their belief that the fifth Signer is now here in the Elemental Countries.”

Kasumi says, with a nod, “I believe so, too, Hokage-sama.”

Third Hokage asks, curiously, “Why is that?”

Kasumi says, taking out a bag from her kunoichi uniform, “This shall tell you the answer.” When Kasumi opens the bag somewhat, there is a great light and the Hokage’s eyes widen to see what’s inside.

(The following day; within another part of the Leaf Village)

Within what seems like an abandoned part of the village, blank masked ANBU, members of Danzo’s ROOT force, which are supposed to be disbanded, are looking around in which they feel like they sense something and draw kunai.

One of them says, “There is nothing here.”

Just then a cat comes out and the other ROOT ANBU replies, plainly, “Just a cat.” But then both ROOT cry out in pain as they are knocked out by some kind of electrical shock and when they collapse into unconsciousness, Davis’ and Veemon’s head peek out of their invisibility cloak with Davis having a stun gun on him.

Veemon tells Davis, with a smile and a whisper, “Nice work, Davis.”

Davis says, with a grin, “These dopes would think that I’m a typical ninja and attack at night.”

Veemon tells Davis, with a plain tone, “I hope that Gatomon, Agumon, Tai, and Kari be okay.”

Davis tells Veemon, with a serious tone, “Don’t worry, partner. They will be since they need them to get me, buddy.” Davis and Veemon then cover up making themselves invisible as they head off to find their captured friends.

(Elsewhere; that same morning)

During that same morning, we find Ryu, Ayane, Ninja Ayane, Rachel, Leon, and Kalin heading over to Jiraiya showed Naruto the Rasengan yesterday in which they are also discussing something else.

Ayane says, excitedly, “That’s such a cool idea to start a new Duel Academy here!”

Leon says, with a smile, “Since Duel Monsters is a part of Elemental Countries and plenty of kids duel here through not in the way that the rest of world does, I think that it would a good idea to build a Duel Academy here. The first Elemental Country Duel Academy!”

Ryu says, with a nod, “I think that’s an excellent idea, Leon!”

Kalin says, with a nod, “It would be. This could bring the Elemental Countries and our home closer together in which new talented duelists from around here can show their abilities as well as help improve their dueling abilities.”

Ayane says, excitedly, “Maybe we can also create a Turbo Dueling arena and bring Turbo Dueling here!”

Ryu tells Ayane, with a kind smile, “I don’t think that we can go that far, sis. They haven’t seen dueling with duel disks yet.”

Ayane says, with a giggle, “Good point, Ryu.”

Leon asks, curiously, “Do you think that Naruto is doing all right?”

Ryu says, with a plain tone, “I’m sure that he is up early practicing that first step that old pervert showed them.”

Flashback; Yesterday

Right now, we find Ayane, Ryu, Haku, Ninja Ryu, and Momiji watching Jiraiya take out a water balloon and give Naruto one to show him the first step of learning the Rasengan.

Naruto asks, curiously, “What’s the balloon for?”

Jiraiya says, with a smile, “This is the first step to learning your father’s Rasengan, Naruto. In order to learn it, you need to do three steps. And by learning the tree-climbing exercise and water-walking exercise, you can use this jutsu. Here is a demo, gaki.” Jiraiya’s water balloon in his right hand begins to swirl around and make tons of bumps before it explodes. Jiraiya tells Naruto, “You need these to create a stream of chakra and spin it, as you put it, Naruto.”

Naruto asks, curiously, “So, I need to create a stream of chakra?”

Jiraiya tells Naruto, with a smile, “I’ll go into more details about the jutsu later after you’ve got the basics down, Naruto.” Jiraiya tells Naruto, “First, you need to focus the chakra into your hand. Then you need to create a stream of it. And finally, you need to use that chakra to swirl the water around in the balloon.”

Naruto asks, with a grin, “And I need to spin around so I can pop the balloon, right?”

Jiraiya says, with a wide smirk, “Bingo, gaki!”

Naruto tells Jiraiya, with a foxy smile, “Don’t worry, Pervy Sage, I’ll get it in no time!”

Jiraiya tells Naruto, with a smile, “I’ll let you work on it. You see, kid, I’m a ‘hands off’ teacher. I don’t guide my students. I just show them the way and let them figure it out.”

Naruto asks, surprised, “Huh?”

Jiraiya tells Naruto, “Look, kid, even your mother, with her talent for ninjutsu, had to learn things the hard way and even with some of your father and your mother in you, you need to do that to. In my book, to do a jutsu, you need to figure it out for yourself. You don’t want to be like that Sasuke kid and use something like that cheating Sharingan do you?”

Naruto says, seriously, “No way!”

Jiraiya says, with a sly smile, “That’s the way, Naruto! I’m going to be here in the village and I’ll check up on your progress, but when you are done for this one, I’ll show you the next step. And if you are able to do this jutsu in the time that you say that you will, I’ll tell you a secret.”

Naruto asks, surprised, “A secret?”

Jiraiya tells Naruto, “The full story of the Rasengan, Naruto.”

End Flashback; Return to the Present

By that evening, Ninja Ayane and Rachel had returned to the village in which they had found out from the map that the new fifth Signer has been found in the Elemental Countries in which worries the group in which they are more surprised that the signal was coming from in or around the Leaf Village itself, but since this Signer’s portion of the Crimson Dragon is still ‘sleeping’, it is hard to get a location. However, the Third Hokage doesn’t have much in the way to give for any search since Orochimaru is the main concern at this moment.

Right now, we find them heading for where Naruto is training and they find him groaning annoyance in which Ayane asks, “What’s wrong, Naruto?”

Naruto whips his head around and he says, with a smile, “Hi, Ayane!”

Rachel says, with a sly smile, “I’ve heard that you have been a busy little beaver, kid.”

Naruto says, with a proud smile, “I’m going to learn one of my dad’s legendary jutsu!”

Ryu asks Naruto, “It isn’t going so well, is it?”

Naruto replies, nervously, “What makes you say that?”

Leon replies, with a grin, “You groan of frustration, Naruto.”

Naruto says, with a sigh, “It is harder than I thought! The Pervy Sage told me that there are two rotating types, a left and right one, and he told me since my hair grew to the right that I’m a right rotating type when I asked for a hint, but this isn’t too much easier.”

Ayane asks Naruto, “Can we help Naruto? Do you think that you can show us?”

Naruto says, with a sigh, “Okay, Ayane.” Naruto then starts to spin the chakra in the water balloon making it spin around, but unlike Jiraiya’s balloon in his demo, Naruto’s balloon was just bouncing around in the center.

Ryu says, plainly, “I think I get what’s wrong. Your balloon is just bouncing around in the center, but that Jiraiya’s guy was bouncing all over the place, like it was boiling.”

Naruto gasps and he yells out, giving himself a mental slap, “That’s it! That’s what I’m doing wrong! Darn it! Why didn’t I see that earlier? I’m just making bouncing in one direction! I need to make it bounce in multiple directions!” Naruto asks, perplexed, “But how do I do that?”

Kalin tells Naruto, “You need to figure that one on your own, Naruto.”

Ayane tells Naruto, “Sorry that we can’t help anymore, Naruto.”

Naruto says, with a grin, “No problem, Ayane! Your bro really helped me out a lot! Believe it! Now I know what I’m doing wrong!” Naruto says, with a sigh, “Now, it is just how to do this correctly. I need to figure out how I do the same thing that the Pervy Sage did with his water balloon.”

Leon asks, curiously, “Where is Haku?”

Naruto says, with a shrug, “Haku-chan just left saying that she heard something, Leon-san. Most likely, the Pervy Sage up to his old tricks again.”

Just then Haku appears and she says, “I wish that it were that easy, Naruto-sama. The two Cloud ‘Jonin’ of the two Cloud teams that made it to the preliminaries before the Third Exam are looking for you, Naruto.”

There are a few gasps of surprise and Naruto asks, seriously, “What do they want with me?”

Haku replies, “I don’t know, but they did mention looking for all the Signers.”

Kalin asks, curiously, “Another group that wants the power of the Crimson Dragon?”

Naruto says, with a serious tone, “We’ll see about that.”

Haku tells Naruto, “Naruto-sama, there is something different about these ninja. I can’t put my finger on it, but something is off about their chakra. They are strong, maybe too strong for Jonin, and it seems inhuman.”

Ninja Ayane asks, curiously, “Inhuman?”

Naruto thinks in his mind, “Could they be…?” Naruto tells Haku, “Haku, I need you to take me to them. Something tells me that they and I have a bit in common.”

Haku asks, confused, “What do you mean?”

Naruto replies, plainly, “It is kind of like when I met Gaara remember.” There are plenty of eyebrows raises in surprised when they realize what Naruto means in which Haku gives a nod to led Naruto to them.

(A bit later; some distance away)

Just a good distance away from Naruto and everyone else, we find none other than Yugito Nii and Killer Bee, the ‘containers’ of the Two-Tails and Eight-Tails respectively, looking around for something or someone.

Killer Bee says, “You, cuz, are you sure that ice chick went this way?”

Yugito replies, with a plain tone, “I’m sure, Bee.”

Killer Bee says, with a huff, “How can she get away from us so fast? This is wack jack!”

Yugito thinks in her mind, “Man! I can see while Raikage-sama hates Bee’s rhyming so much! If he wasn’t family, I would smack him around!”

Just then a familiar voice calls out, “Looking for someone!” Just then the two Cloud Ninja look to see two chakra arms heading for them in which they leap into the air and active cloaks of their own yokai chakra from their ‘inner demons’ to deflect them in which the chakra arms return to one Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze, who his yokai chakra cloak activated, with Haku nearby.

Haku says, amazed, “That energy… it is similar to the fox’s chakra!”

Naruto asks, with a plain tone, “So, which ones are you?”

Killer Bee says, with a plain tone, “Yo, it is bad to demand a name when you nearly gave a bump on my rump, bro!”

Naruto asks, perplexed, “Huh?”

Yugito tells Naruto, “Never mind, Namikaze-sama. I’m Yugito Nii, Jinchuriki of the Two-Tailed Nekomata. And he is Killer Bee, ‘container’ of the Eight-Tailed Ox.”

Killer Bee says, “That’s Killer Bee-sama, Jinchuriki-sama, or Mr. Jinchuriki, yo!”

Haku says, with a plain tone, “No one will be calling you that if you are here for ill intent. I am a guardian of the Signers and I knew that you were talking about them.”

Yugito says, with a smile, “We know. We sensed that you were here, girl.”

Naruto asks, seriously, “What do you want with me and the other Signers?”

Killer Bee says, with a plain tone, “My bro doesn’t trust this village, yo! The power of the Crimson Dragon is great and it showed when it unleashed that quake on the whole of the Elemental Countries, yo!”

Haku says, with a plain tone, “I see. The Crimson Dragon is a divine entity that’s far more powerful than even the Nine-Tailed Fox. The Raikage fears that it will be used against them since relations between the Leaf Village and the Cloud Village are still shaky since the incident with the last Raikage had tried to use a treaty signing to kidnap three year old Hinata Hyuga which led to an incident where her father killed the attacker, but it was the representative of the Cloud Village sent to the sign the treaty in which the Cloud Village used as an excuse to say that the Leaf Village ‘murdered’ their ambassador even through the Cloud Village was the starter of that incident and demanded the head of Hiashi Hyuga, Hinata-sama’s father.”

Naruto thinks in his mind, “They wanted the death of Hinata’s dad? Hold up! Hiashi-sama told me the problems of Neji-teme started with an incident with the Cloud Village, but he wouldn’t go into detail!”

Haku says, with a plain tone, “I don’t know plenty of details, but I do know that incident was the demise of the current Raikage’s predecessor.”

Naruto asks Haku, “How do you know this, Haku?”

Haku replies, with a smile, “Hokage-sama gave me details on you and Hinata-sama to know about your lives so I could protect you better, Naruto.”

Yugito is frowning and Killer Bee yells out, seriously, “You had better watch out with yelling out that slag since you are talking about Yugito’s dad!”

There are gasps from our two Leaf ninja and Naruto yells out, “Wait! The last Raikage that tried to kidnap Hinata when she was little was her father?!”

Yugito says, with an annoyed tone, “Thanks a lot, cousin.”

Naruto and Haku get into defensive stances and Naruto says, with a serious glare, “So, you want some payback, huh?”

Yugito says, shaking her head, “No, Namikaze-sama. As much as I want to do so that spit in the face of the Leaf Village, I know that it won’t bring my father back to me. Even through officially, it was a problem with my brother, the former Eight-Tails ‘container’ before my cousin, Bee, here, losing controlling of the Eight-Tails that caused my father’s fall, I blame the Leaf for that, but I know that doing anything against it won’t bring him back.”

Naruto asks, perplexed, “Wait! Your brother contained the Eight-Tails last and he is your cousin?”

Yugito says, with a plain tone, “It is a tradition in our village to have the Raikage related to the Jinchuriki of the Two-Tails, Eight-Tails, or both at the same time. It was to make the Jinchuriki be loyal to the village since a member of his family is the leader, but also gives the chance for demon container to have a chance for a ‘better life’ since few people would be stupid to attack a member of the Raikage’s family. I imagine that you didn’t have a good life in your village for what you are and there are plenty of people like that in our village, but with members of our family as Raikage, my cousin, who’s brother is the Fourth Raikage, and I have a chance to prove ourselves in which Killer Bee, here, is praised as a hero of his village.”

Killer Bee says, slyly, “You know it, Yugito!” Killer Bee says, slyly, “But look at you, boy, I never thought that I see someone else having full control of their Biju like us, yo!”

Haku asks, stunned, “Full control?”

Naruto asks, shocked, “You mean…?!”

Yugito says, with a sly smile, “That’s right, Namikaze-sama. We have managed to come to an ‘agreement’ with our Biju and have full control over their chakra through unlike us, you didn’t do it that way. Nibi-chan tells me that fox is too proud as well as too wrathful to make him to agree to work together with any human and he would like to gain control over you to be ‘reborn’ in a sense.”

Naruto says, with a serious tone, “You have no idea, lady! With help from the Crimson Dragon, I stripped him of his chakra and I mean all of it! I have the full power of the Nine-Tailed Fox under my control!”

Killer Bee says, with a grin, “We know that brother! My ‘inner homie’ told me so! Got to say, I’m impressive, yo!”

Haku asks, seriously, “So, why are you here? I don’t think that you are here for the Chunin Exams and to led teams! What do you want with the Signers?”

As Haku prepares to use her senbon, Yugito says, with a plain tone, “We are under orders from the Raikage to observe the Signers and find out who they are. And to ensure that they are never a threat to our village by any means necessary.”

Haku tells Yugito in reply, “And any threat to the Signers is a threat to me, Yugito-san. My purpose is to defend the Signers with my life if necessary.”

Naruto says, with a serious tone, “It won’t come to that Haku. It might be two-on-one, but I have the power of the strongest all of these ‘tailed monsters’ on my side! And while you have the full power of yours on your side, I don’t think that they compare to the fox!”

Yugito replies, with a sly tone, “That might be true, but do you have as much control as we do? We’ve had years to control the yokai chakra from Nibi and Hibachi, the Eight-Tailed Ox, Namikaze-sama. I doubt that you’ve had that much training as we did.” Yugito says, with a smile, “And all of your allies can come out now including Jiraiya-sama and Hayabusa-sama.” Naruto gives a surprised look to see Jiraiya and Ninja Ryu leap down from the trees along with the rest of the group from earlier.

Jiraiya tells them, with a smile, “You are talent as you are lovely, Yugito-san.”

Naruto asks Jiraiya, “How did you get here?”

Jiraiya tells Naruto, “Come on, gaki! You are using the fox’s chakra! It is most likely being felt throughout the whole village by now if not beyond!”

Naruto says, nervously, “Good point.”

Killer Bee says, with a sly smile, “This be a warning, yo! We love our village and we love our family in which I love my big bro even through we fight a lot, but if you even think about using that dragon against us, we are going to knock you out of your socks and them some, yo! Later, gators!” Soon after, Yugito and Killer Bee took off while the others gathered around.

Ninja Ayane asks, “You and Jiraiya-sama heard everything, didn’t you, sensei?”

Ninja Ryu says, with a plain tone, “We did, Ayane-san.”

Jiraiya says, with a plain tone, “I was wondering why Cloud sent both of its Jinchuriki out here and I knew that it wasn’t to say hello.”

Naruto tells Jiraiya, “You think, Pervy Sage?”

Jiraiya thinks, annoyed, “I can’t believe this gaki! He is just like his mother, no respect!”

Ryu asks, curiously, “Do you think that they would want to kidnap us or even…”

Naruto tells Ryu, “Don’t worry, Ryu. They wouldn’t do anything! Who cares if they have been at it longer? When I learn my father’s jutsu, I’ll be unstoppable believe it!”

Jiraiya tells Naruto, “I wouldn’t go that far, Naruto. However, I think that the current Raikage will think twice once he knows that you have the Rinnegan, full access to the fox’s FULL power, and learning from me which he will know that you are learning your father’s jutsu, Naruto. Gaki, you are just like your mother and with your father’s jutsu in your alley with what you already got, you would be a major force to be reckoned if and if they try anything, I know that you will, at least, take out one or both of those guys. And that’s something the Cloud Village can’t afford and the Raikage won’t dare risk the life of his family for something he knows that there is a good possibility than he can’t win without suffering a major loss personally and for his village. In short, all of you are safe.”

Ayane says, with a sigh of relief, “That’s good.” But then Naruto’s, Ryu’s, and Ayane’s ‘Marks of the Dragon’ start to glow and they yelp in pain.

Kalin asks, curiously, “What is this?”

Haku says, amazed, “Their ‘Marks of the Dragon’ are glowing!”

Leon asks, curiously, “Is it the fifth Signer?”

Naruto says, shaking his head, “No, I don’t think so.”

Ryu says, with a nod, “We can tell that it isn’t the fifth Signer. Our ‘Marks of the Dragon’ are reacting to something.”

Ayane says, looking down a large trench/cliff, “Down there, everyone. Something down there is making our marks react, I know it, everyone.” Everyone looks down there and they give curious looks.

Momiji asks, curiously, “What would make the Signers’ ‘Mark of the Dragon’ react like this?”

Ninja Ryu says, with a plain tone, “I’m not sure, Momiji, but it bares worth investigating.”

Leon asks, confused, “But how do we get down there?”

Jiraiya says, with a plain tone, “The walls are slippery, so, it will be hard even for elite ninja to get down there without slipping and one slip up and you will die.”

Ayane says, activating her duel disk, “Leave that to me, everyone.” Soon enough, Ayane prepares to use her powers to make a few Duel Monsters become real to allow them to float down safely into the trench, but they wonder what’s waiting for them down there.

(Around the same time; Elsewhere)

At this time, we find Kari and Tai, their clothes quite torn up, their eyes glazed, and their hands in cuffs, being led along by two ROOT ANBU members.

One of them says, “Move outsiders!” Just then they hear something loud and they immediately go into defensive stances in which they look around careful for anything suspicious, but then one of them yell out in pain from a powerful electrical shock causing him to go into unconsciousness in which the other ROOT ANBU looks to see Davis with a stun gun right in front of him.

“V-Head Butt!”

But before he can do anything, he is slammed right in the face by Veemon’s hard head in which he goes into unconscious too causing his mask to fall off, but since he falls to the ground head first, only his deep blue/black hair is seen.

Davis tells Veemon, with a smile, “Nice work, buddy!”

Veemon says, with a smile, “No problem, Davis!” Immediately, the two of them go to Tai and Kari in which Veemon asks, concerned, “What’s wrong with them?”

Davis says, with a snarl, “They are under Genjutsu, buddy. Basically, they are illusions that can fool the mind and senses better than our modern tech many times.”

Veemon snaps his fingers and he asks, “Is there a way to get them out of it?”

Davis tells Veemon, “Sorry, pal! You can’t just snap your fingers and snap them out of it especially with something as high level as this. My mom taught how to undo it, but I’m not really good at learning stuff through it is usually boring mathematics and such. Cross your fingers, pal.” As Veemon does so, Davis gathers chakra energy in which he uses it to snap Tai and Kari out of the illusions that they were under causing them to blink as their eyes return to normal.

Tai asks, perplexed, “What?”

Kari asks, looking at Davis stunned, “Davis? Is that really you?”

Davis tells Kari, with a wide grin, “How can you say that about this mug, Kari?”

Tai says, with a smile, “That’s Davis, all right.” Kari then lunges at Davis and cries on his shoulder causing Davis to blush in which he shakes his head to clean his head.

Davis tells Kari, “Easy, Kari. It’s all right.” Davis thinks in his mind, annoyed, “What did this asshole do to you?”

Tai asks Davis, “Where are the others?”

Davis replies, with a sigh, “I only came with Veemon, Tai.”

Tai yells out, shocked, “You what?”

Davis replies, with a serious tone, “Trust me, Tai. They would have gotten in the way. You don’t know where you are or who you are dealing with.”

Tai asks, curiously, “And you do?”

Veemon says, with a smile, “Yep!”

Just then Davis senses something and a male voice, “We don’t think so, boy.” Everyone whips around to see a mid-size group of ROOT forces in front of them in which one of them says, in the voice heard before, “Very clever to attack in daylight rather than nightmare than the typical ninja, boy.”

Davis says, with a sly tone, “Well, I’m full of surprises, jerk!” Davis then throws some kunai right at them in which they deflected with ease.

Another ROOT ANBU tells Davis, with a plain tone, “Did you really think mere kunai would stop us, boy?”

Davis says, with a grin, “Not really, pal, but kunai with storage seal containing a special surprise might.” Just then the kunai releases several small spheres from storage seals imprinted on the kunai itself and unleashes the most foul smelling gas in which the ROOT start to gag and collapse from the sheer smell. Davis says, with a grin, “Mega Stink Bombs! Made from skunk, ‘O-la-Sewer’, and PU, you don’t want to know!” Davis yells out, “Digi-Armor Energize!” Just then a long Digi-Egg with the Crest of Friendship comes out of Davis D-3 from a beam of blue light from his D-Terminal.

In place of Veemon, there is large wolf-like version of him covered in armor made up of the strange Digi-Egg with the Crest of Friendship on his friend in which Davis leaps onto in which he drags Kari with him.

Davis yells out, “Tai, get on now! I don’t have time to explain anything! We need to get Agumon and Gatomon and get the heck out of here!” Tai, knowing not to argue, gets onto Raidramon’s back and they run off at high speeds into the distance while the ROOT ANBU struggle to stay up in which most of them have collapsed into unconsciousness from the sheer smell of Davis’ Mega Stink Bombs.

(A good time afterwards; Rejoining Naruto)

Back with our blond haired ninja and his group, we find them getting off of Black Rose Dragon (2400/1800) and Red-Eyes Black Dragon (2400/2000), made real by Ayane’s Psychic Duelist powers in which she de-activates her duel disk causing them to vanish in which she hands back the Red-Eyes Black Dragon card to Naruto.

Ayane says, with a smile, “Thanks, Naruto.”

Naruto says, with a grin, “No problem, Ayane.”

Jiraiya says, with a whistle, “The Old Man wasn’t kidding about those powers. I can see why Orochimaru would want your powers.”

Ryu tells Jiraiya, “Not to mention those like Sayer, who used our mother before our dad helped her see the truth.”

Jiraiya replies, “And I can see why. Any of the top ninja villages, minus our own, would pull out their teeth and hair for such a power.”

Haku tells Jiraiya, “They shall not get Ayane-sama as long as I live, Jiraiya-sama.”

Jiraiya tells Haku, “That’s a good attitude, Haku-chan, but there are plenty out there, like Orochimaru, that are just as determined.”

Leon asks, curiously, “So, what are we looking for down here?”

Ninja Ryu says, seriously, “Up ahead everyone!” Everyone then looks to see a glow coming from a cave ahead of them in which they look at each other and head off to the cave. Once inside of the cave, they find tons of cave drawing and markings that looks like a mixture of ancient Egyptian, Feudal Japan, and from South America.

Momiji says, amazed, “It looks like a mixture of painting and stuff depicting things from the Shadow Games, battles in a Feudal Japan, and…”

Ninja Ayane says, interrupting, “Pictures native to South and Latin America, the area of the world where the Crimson Dragon came from.”

Kalin says, with a plain tone, “I am beginning to see a pattern.”

Leon says, looking ahead, “And I think that I see something that I never thought that I see, Kalin.” When everyone looks, they see a stone pedestal containing a strange sword that has a long triangle-like blade much like an arrow-head with an opening with a jewel inside with the red jewel like a dragon’s eye, a deep beautiful blue hilt, and an orange cloth-like ‘chain’ attached to the end of the hilt with an Asian dragon attached to the end.

Ninja Ryu says, with a plain tone, “The Dragon Sword, a weapon similar to my Dragon Blade or the Dark Dragon Blade.”

Leon says, pointing below it, “Interesting, but that’s not what I was talking about.” Everyone then sees a golden upside pyramid with the Millennium Symbol in its center and Leon says, amazed, “That’s the Millennium Puzzle, which was Yugi Moto’s Millennium Item!”

Kalin asks, curiously, “What is it doing here?”

Naruto says, seriously, “Does it really matter, Kalin-san? If that madman had the Millennium Rod, we can’t let any of these things stay away for any nut job to get their hands on!” Naruto then steps forward, but then a young looking man wearing a plain turban, plain robes, and plain brown shoes with the Millennium Key around his neck and the Millennium Scales in his right hand.

The man says, seriously, “Halt, young one!”

Ryu asks, curiously, “Who are you?”

The man replies, “My name is Shadi, I am a spirit of thousands of years past and the guardian of the seven Millennium Items.”

Naruto asks, nervously, “Spirit? You mean like ghost?”

Shadi replies, “No, young one. A ghost is an evil spirit. I am a regular spirit who bares you no wish or desire to harm the living.”

Naruto asks, perplexed, “There is a difference?”

There are plenty of sweatdrops at this and Ayane asks Naruto, teasingly, “So, you are a scared of ghosts? So, Naruto, the big bad future Hokage, is afraid of some big bad ghosts when he is dealing with a demon kitsune, huh?”

Naruto tells Ayane, annoyed, “Ayane! The fox is one thing! Ghosts are another!” Naruto tells Shadi, “By the way, pal, if you are supposed to be the guardian of these things, how come you let that Marik asshole get his hands on one?!”

Shadi tells Naruto, “The items were never meant to see the light of day again when Yugi Moto helped Pharaoh Atem’s spirit go into the afterlife, but Marik’s evil side wasn’t just waiting around in the Shadow Realm. He was gathering his strength and planned to make his return in which he managed to get his hands one of the three Egyptian God Cards which joined his majesty into the afterlife in which you know the results. However, his reappearance is just one of the many signs that evil is gathering their forces and you, the Signers, chosen warriors of the Crimson Dragon, the great protector of this planet and humanity, are among the ones that can stop it.”

Ayane asks, surprised, “How do you know about us?”

Shadi says, “I’ve known about the Signers for a long time and the horrible murder of your family, the original Signers of Neo Domino City, were just the sign of the start of these new battles with evil. A great and ancient war that dates back to the start of the universe itself is about to restart in this world. I know that the three of you, Signers, saw it yourself.”

Ryu asks, seriously, “So, our vision back in Naruto’s home was real?”

Shadi says, with a nod, “Indeed, young Signer. And you are correct on what this war shall be about. It shall not be a conflict of light against darkness since both good and evil shall be welding both powers. However, you only have the powers of light that you need, the power of the Crimson Dragon. The opposite is the power of the Supreme King welded by Leon Yuki’s father, Jaden Yuki.”

Leon asks Shadi, “Is my father still alive?”

Shadi says, with a sigh, “I can’t be sure, but I believe that your parents still are part of this mortal coil. Your journey with the Signers to find your father and mother shall begin soon since they shall need Jaden Yuki’s help to win this war. You shall also need the other two Egyptian God Cards and other mighty forces of light and darkness to fight this great evil that’s coming.”

Ninja Ryu asks Shadi, “Is there anything more that you can tell us, Shadi?”

Shadi replies, “I can’t tell you anymore of this evil because I am a mere guardian of the Millennium Items, but there is one more thing that I do know for sure: The Fifth Signer is about to be revealed and this Signer is already in this village.”

There are gasps of shock and Naruto yells out, “The fifth Signer is here? Where is he?”

Shadi replies, “Of that I’m not sure, but I can say that he is in grave danger. Someone within your village wishes to the control the power of the Crimson Dragon and found out who the fifth Signer is before this Signer has awoken their power in which they have forced that Signer here. You must find your fellow Signer and aid them before it is too later.”

Ninja Ayane asks, plainly, “Do you know who this person is?”

Shadi replies, “I wish that I could tell you more, but I do not weld the Millennium Necklace.”

Jiraiya thinks in his mind, “I’ve got a bad feeling that it is certain one-eyed member of the civilian council and pain in the ass warmonger that’s responsible.”

Naruto says, seriously, “What are we waiting for? We’ve to get out of here and find the last Signer!”

Ayane says, with a nod, “I agree with Naruto.”

There are plenty of nods of agreement and Shadi says, “When you have aided your fellow Signer, bring him with you to this place once more. In order to gain the Millennium Puzzle and the Dragon Sword, you must past both the Dragon Sword’s test and my test to see if you are worthy of protecting this item. You will need them in your future journeys.”

Naruto says, with a sly grin, “You can count on it, big guy!” Immediately, our group does an about face and leaves the cave in which they prepare to leave the deep trench to get back to the village to find the final Signer.

(Back with Davis; Sometime later)

With Davis, we find him, Veemon, Tai, and Kari hiding under his invisibility cloak as a group of ROOT members pass by in which they are safe, all of them come out from the cloak.

Davis says, with a snort, “They are really getting on my nerves. Don’t take a lunch break or bath break? Even ninja have to take a breather.”

Tai says, looking at the cloak, “I still don’t get what’s going on here or why you didn’t bring the others.”

Davis says, with a serious tone, “I told you, Tai! They don’t know what they are up against! I do!”

Kari asks, curiously, “How?”

Davis replies, with a sigh, “Because I’m a ninja myself, Kari.” Tai and Kari give looks of surprise and Davis says, with a shrug, “Actually, my mom was and my dad’s pops was also a ninja too.”

Veemon says, “Long story, you two.”

Tai says, amazed, “One that I want to hear, Davis.”

Davis tells Tai, “I’ll tell everyone once we get out of here.” Soon enough, they race off and secretly go through doors and such towards an area.

Kari tells Davis, “I hope that Gatomon and Agumon is okay, Davis.”

Davis tells Kari, “I can’t be sure, Kari. They haven’t seen creatures like Digimon before. And there are people around him that would love to use them for weapons.”
Tai yells out, shocked, “Weapons?!”

Davis tells Tai, annoyed, “Tai, do you want the whole place on our heads?!” Soon enough, they enter an area with a massive circle containing an insignia of twin Asian dragons in which Davis stops in his tracks.

Kari asks Davis, “Davis, what is this?”

Tai asks Kari, perplexed, “What’s wrong?”

Kari says, shaking, “I feel something from it.”

Just then a voice calls out, “So, you sense something from it. Your powers might be more interesting to me than I thought.” Everyone then looks to see Danzo with Sai in front of him and Agumon and Gatomon tied above them.

Kari yells out, horrified, “Gatomon!”

Tai calls out, shocked, “Agumon!”

Danzo tells Davis, “You are cleverer than I thought, boy. However, your blood isn’t that of an outsider and I believe that your family gave you at least some training.”

Davis tells Danzo, with a snort, “What do you want you one-eyed freak? As if I didn’t know…”

Danzo tells Davis, “Despite your powerful bloodlines, I actually want another power that lies dormant within you and that you recently acquired without your knowledge.”

Davis asks, stunned, “What do you mean?” Just then he hears yelling and he whips his head to see Kari and Tai in the hands of two more ROOT ANBU in which Davis says, stunned, “Oh no!”

Danzo tells Davis, “Don’t even try that trick that you used before or using your own device like theirs to ‘evolve’ these mysterious, but interesting creatures that you call Digimon.” Danzo then displays Tai’s and Kari’s digivices and Danzo tells Davis, “You are going to duel my warrior, who’s name is Sai.”

Sai says, displaying a duel disk with a dueling deck, “I shall be your opponent, Motomiya-san.”

Davis asks, stunned, “A Duel Monsters match?”

Danzo says, with a plain tone, “Only playing in the modern day version of the Shadow Games can bring out this power that you don’t even know about and I believe that you have.”

Davis says, with a snarl taking out an Academy Duel Disk like Leo’s Academy Duel Disk only larger to fit his arm, “I don’t know what you are talking about, jerk, but fine! However, if I win, you let us go.”

Danzo says, with a plain tone, “If you have the power that I desire, which I believe you do, I shall only let your friends and their ‘pets’ go. And you shall take it or they shall die.”

Davis growls and he thinks in his mind, “Asshole isn’t leaving me much choice, but I can see in his eyes! He means it!” Davis says, attaching his duel disk to his left wrist and putting in his duel deck, “Fine, asshole! I know that you aren’t leaving me with much choice!”

Kari tells Davis, concerned, “Davis, don’t worry about us! Get out of here!”

Tai tells Davis, “If he wants you, then he’ll keep us alive! Get out of here!”

Davis says, activating his duel disk with Sai activating his own duel disk with a dueling deck inside, “I can’t, Tai! They could kill you just to make an example to me and I can’t let that happen! Okay, you pale faced freak, let’s duel!” Their decks are shuffled, they draw five cards, and their life-points counters display 4000 life-points each.

“Let’s duel!” Davis and Sai yell out in unison as their duel starts.

Sai says, drawing a card, “I shall take the first turn.” Sai says, putting one card on his duel disk, “I play Beast King Barbaros in attack mode!” Immediately, Beast King Barbaros (1900/1200), a massive humanoid lion warrior with a spear and shield, appears on the field in attack mode and Sai says, “Even through it is an eight star monster, I can play him without releasing other monsters, but since I did that, his original attack points are now nineteen hundred.” Sai says, putting two cards into the spell/trap slots, “I shall end my turn with a couple of face-downs.”

Davis says, drawing a card, “It’s my turn now!” Davis says, putting one card on his duel disk, “I play Elemental Hero Stratos in attack mode!” Just then Elemental Hero Stratos (1800/300) appears on the field in attack mode. A card comes out of Davis’ deck and he yells out, “And now, I play his ability and take one hero and add it to my hand!” Davis says, putting one more card into the spell/trap slots, “I activate my Polymerization spell card!” Davis then displays one Elemental Hero Woodsman (1000/2000) and one Elemental Hero Knospe (600/1000) monster card and he yells out, “I fuse my Knospe and Woodsman together to form Elemental Hero Gaia in attack mode!” The two appears on the field, goes into a fusion vortex, and when Davis puts a fusion monster card from his Extra deck on his duel disk, Elemental Hero Gaia (2200/2600) appears on the field in attack mode.

Sai says, pushing a button, “I activate my trap: Anti-Fusion Device.” Sai’s face-down card is revealed to be the Anti-Fusion Device trap card and Sai says, with a plain tone, “This card destroys a Fusion monster on the field.” Just then a hologram of the device appears and sucks Gaia into it causing it to be destroyed.

Davis says, putting one card into the spell/trap slots, “I activate my Fusion Sage spell card! This card allows me to take a Polymerization card from my deck and add it to my hand!” Just then a card comes out of Davis’ deck and after his deck is reshuffled, Davis says, putting the card into the spell/trap slots, “And now, I play that Polymerization!” Davis displays Elemental Hero Avian (1000/1000) and he yells out, “I fuse Avian with Stratos to form Hero Great Tornado!” Avian appears on the field, goes into a fusion vortex with Stratos, and when Davis puts a fusion monster card from his Extra deck on his duel disk, Elemental Hero Great Tornado (2800/2200) appears on the field in attack mode.

Sai says, pushing another button, “I’m sorry, Motomiya-san, but I play my Mispolmerization trap card!” Sai’s face-down card is revealed to be the Mispolmerization trap card in which Sai says, with a fake smile, “Now, all Fusion monsters are returned to your deck.”

Davis yells out, flabbergasted, “What?!” Great Tornado then roars as he fades away back into the Extra deck and Davis says, with a snarl, “Oh, great!”

Danzo says, with a plain tone, “I see that you are getting the idea, Motomiya-san. This is the deck that we have designed based on every single bit of information that we got on you, boy. Sai’s deck is an Anti-Fusion Power deck designed to counter your deck since it’s most powerful creatures are fusion monsters.”

Davis says, putting the last card in his hand into the spell/trap slots, “I activate my Monster Reborn and revive Hero Stratos in defense mode!” Just then Elemental Hero Stratos (1800/300) returns to the field in defense mode and Davis says, as a card comes out of his duel disk, “And since I brought him back, I get another hero! And with that I’ll end my turn!”

Sai says, drawing a card, “It’s my turn, Motomiya-san.” Sai says, putting one card into the spell/trap slots, “I play my Advanced Force continuous spell card and as long this card remains on the field, any level five or higher monster is all that I need to play one level seven or higher monster. So, I release my Beast King Barbaros to Advanced Summon my Gilford the Legend!” Barbaros vanishes from the field and Gilford the Legend (2600/2000) appears on the field in attack mode. Sai says, putting one card into the spell/trap slots, “Next, I play my Monster Reborn to reply my Beast King Barbaros!” Just then Beast King Barbaros (3000/1200) reappears on the field in attack mode and Sai says, with a plain tone, “But since I played him without using his ability, his true power comes out with an attack point of three thousand.”

Davis thinks in his mind, “This is going to hurt!”

Danzo tells Sai, plainly, “Good, Sai. Take him down.”

Sai declares, “Gilford, destroy his monster with your sword.” Gilford slices through Stratos and destroys him, but since he was in defense mode, Davis doesn’t lose life-points. Sai says, plainly, “And now, Barbaros shall attack you directly.” Barbaros slams his spear into Davis’ chest in which he yelps out in pain as he loses 3000 life-points.

Kari yells out, shocked, “Davis!”

Tai says, stunned, “He looks really hurt!”

Danzo says, plainly, “That’s what he really is. This place is very special and when I learned about him, I was surprised that how special that he was. He is the last guardian of this ancient as his mother’s family was for generations and when Sai beats him in this duel, by ancient laws, what this place contains shall belong to Sai and since Sai is mine, it is mine.”

Davis asks, with a groan, “You don’t know what you are doing! This place is dangerous! Are you really that stupid, asshole?!”

One ROOT yells out, “Mind your tongue to Danzo-sama boy! Or your friends shall pay the price!”

Davis says, with a snarl, “Not as long as I draw breath, jerk.”

Sai says, putting one card into the spell/trap slots, “I shall end my turn with a face-down, Motomiya-san.”

Davis says, drawing a card, “My move!” Davis says, putting one card into the spell/trap slots, “I activate my Graceful Charity! Now, I draw three cards and discard two more!” Davis draws three cards, discards two from his hand, and he grins to see his Miracle Fusion spell card in his hand.

Sai says, pushing a button on his duel disk, “Seeing your expression you must have gotten a powerful spell card, most likely a Fusion spell card, but my Non-Fusion Area trap card shall end it.” Sai’s face-down card is revealed to be the Non-Fusion Area continuous area and Sai says, plainly, “As long as this card is on the field, neither of us can Fusion Summon any monsters.”

Davis thinks in his mind, stunned, “Darn it! Why doesn’t this surprise me?!”

Sai tells Davis, plainly, “There is nothing that you can do. Your most powerful creatures are useless and my deck is already prepared for the most powerful non-Fusion monster in your deck: Elemental Hero Bladedge.”

Davis yells out, annoyed, “Is that so, pal?! Let’s see you try!” Davis says, putting one card into the spell/trap slots, “I activate my Spellbook in the Pot spell card! Now, both of us must draw three cards from our decks!” Davis thinks in his mind, putting his hand on his deck, “Come on, deck, don’t fail me now! Kari… Tai… and with this asshole trying to do this, so many innocent lives are at stake! I know that we can win!” Before Davis’ draws his cards, his deck is surrounded in brief glow that doesn’t go unnoticed by Danzo and Sai in which Davis draws his three cards. After Sai draws his cards, Davis looks at his cards in which his eyes widen to see Blackwing-Sirocco the Dawn (2000/900) and Blackwing-Gale the Whirlwind (1300/400) monster cards in which he thinks, “Hold on a minute! How did these cards get into my deck? But then again, this monster is one of those Tuner monsters and it has a cool ability! This could be what I need to turn this duel around!” Davis says, putting one card on his duel disk, “Since I have no monsters and you do, I can play my Blackwing-Sirocco the Dawn in attack mode!” Immediately, Blackwing-Sirocco the Dawn (2000/900) appears on the field in attack mode.

This surprises Danzo, Tai, Kari, and even Sai in which he thinks, “This isn’t in the data that we gathered about him.”

Davis says, putting another card onto his duel disk, “And since I have a Blackwing monster on the field, I can special summon my Blackwing-Gale the Whirlwind in attack mode!” Afterwards, Blackwing-Gale the Whirlwind (1300/400) appears on the field in attack mode and Davis yells out, “And due to his ability, your lion gets its power cut in half!” Gale the Whirlwind unleashes a powerful wind storm which lowers Barbaros’ stats from 3000/1200 to 1500/600!

Sai tells Davis, “Not bad, Motomiya-san, but even if you destroy my Barbaros, my other monster shall destroy at least one of your monsters in the next turn.”

Davis thinks in his mind, “And if he destroys my weaker monster, I’m dead! But I know there is a way to win! I just wish that I had a Synchro Monster like I did in my old decks!” Just then the Extra deck area of his duel disk opens revealing the Black-Winged Dragon (2800/1600) Synchro Monster card. Davis thinks in his mind, stunned, “I don’t remember this card, but it is just the right level of Synchro monster that I need!” Davis takes the card out and he yells out, “I tune my level three Gale the Whirlwind with my level five Sirocco the Dawn!” Gale the Whirlwind then transforms into three stars that turn into three rings that surround Sirocco the Dawn making him become transparent. When a column of light appears on the field, Davis chants out, in which his voice sounds like there is another voice with his own, “Darkened gales, become the wings that soar from resolved hope! Synchro Summon!” When Davis puts the Synchro Monster card on his duel disk, he yells out, “Let’s do this, Black-Winged Dragon!” Out of the light, Black-Winged Dragon (2800/1600) appears on the field in attack mode.

Kari says, amazed, “Oh, wow. Beautiful.” But then Davis yelps in pain coming from his right arm and he holds it with his left hand.

Tai yells out, stunned, “Davis!” Just then the final ‘Mark of the Dragon’, the Crimson Dragon’s Tail, appears on his arm.

Davis asks, stunned, “What the heck?!”

Danzo thinks in his mind, amazed, “The final ‘Mark of the Dragon’! He is the one!” But then Davis’ new ‘Mark of the Dragon’ blazes with a crimson light and he yells out, “What’s going on here, boy?!”

Davis asks, stunned, “You got me, pal!” Everyone then yells out as the crimson red light engulfs them.

(At the same time; Back with Naruto and his group)

Returning to Naruto and his group, we find them assembled at the edge of the cliff/trench that contains the cave that has the Dragon Sword and the Millennium Puzzle within, but then Ryu’s, Ayane’s, and Naruto’s ‘Marks of the Dragon’ blaze in unison.

Naruto asks, perplexed, “What’s going on here?”

Ryu asks, curiously, “Could it be the final Signer?” However, before anyone could say or do anything, everyone yells out as they are engulfed by the same crimson light engulfing those around Davis when his ‘Mark of the Dragon’ appeared.

(On the meanwhile; Within the Leaf Village’s hospital)

Inside of the Leaf Village hospital, we find Kiba, Shino, and Kurenai together besides Hinata, who is in a hospital gown and sitting up on her bed, looking her right arm with her ‘Mark of the Dragon’ blazing with crimson light.

Kiba asks, perplexed, “What’s going on here?”

Kurenai asks Hinata, “What’s happening with your ‘Mark of the Dragon’ Hinata?”

Hinata replies, confused, “I don’t know, Kurenai-sensei…” However, they don’t have time for anything else when all of them are engulfed by the crimson light from Hinata’s ‘Mark of the Dragon’.

(A short time later; back to the duel)

Returning to the duel between Davis and Sai, the crimson light blazes on until it starts to fade away in which when Danzo, Sai, the ROOT ANBU, Tai, Kari, Davis, and Veemon open their eyes, they find the Crimson Dragon above Davis and Sai with Naruto and his group as well as all of Team 8 with Hinata in her typical clothing in the area.

Danzo thinks in his mind, “What is this?!” However, no one noticed Ninja Ryu and Ninja Ayane sneaking off from the group.

Naruto asks, perplexed, “What’s going on here?”

Ayane says, amazed, “The Crimson Dragon!”

Jiraiya spots Danzo and he yells out, “Danzo! I should have known!”

Danzo says, with a serious tone, “I am not responsible for bringing you here, Jiraiya. The Crimson Dragon is, but I warn you to step back or I will…” Danzo gasps when he looks at one direction in which he sees Tai and Kari safe and sound with Agumon and Gatomon and everyone sees that too in which they also see the downed forms of the two ROOT that had them held hostage in which Danzo finds where Agumon and Gatomon were tied up and hanging above them in which there are empty rope.

Ninja Ayane tells Danzo, plainly, “I believe that you have nothing, Danzo.”

Danzo says, with a snarl, “You, people…”

Davis asks, perplexed, “Okay, what’s going on here?” Davis thinks in his mind, looking at the Crimson Dragon, “And that dragon! That’s the one that I saw in my dream! This is getting too weird even being in ‘ninjaville’!”

Ayane says, seeing Davis’ ‘Mark of the Dragon’, “Hey, that’s it! That kid has Uncle Crow’s ‘Mark of the Dragon’, the Crimson Dragon’s Tail!”

Naruto says, shocked when he sees it, “The Final Signer! We found him!”

Davis asks, perplexed, “Signer?”

Jiraiya says, glaring at Danzo, “Now, I get it. You figured out who the final Signer is and you kidnapped friends of his to lure him here.”

Danzo says, with a plain tone, “You and that fool, Sarutobi, don’t know what advantage the Crimson Dragon will give the Leaf Village. I was not going to let the best chance for the Leaf Village has to become the greatest of the ninja village spill away because of idealistic fools like you and him, Jiraiya! I shall do what it takes to ensure the prosperity of this village!”

Jiraiya says, with a sneer, “Well, it is going to end now. Thanks to the Crimson Dragon, you have been exposed as the backstabber and liar that you truly are!”

Danzo says, with a plain tone, “Not yet. The final Signer shall be mine and much more when my representative wins this duel. He has may have brought out his ‘Signer Dragon’, but even it can’t win the duel for him.”

Davis says, putting one card into the spell/trap slots of his duel disk, “I don’t get what you mean, jerk! But I’ve already won against your little tool! I activate my Pump Up spell card! This card doubles the power of my Black-Winged Dragon for this turn!” Black-Winged Dragon roars its stats rise from 2800/1600 to 5600/1600!

Sai says, plainly and a bit shocked, “That means he can take out my life-points in one shot and I have nothing left to defend myself.”

Davis yells out, strongly, “Black-Winged Dragon, end this duel now! Destroy Barbaros with Noble Stream!” Black-Winged Dragon unleashes a powerful dark red energy attack right at Barbaros which slams into him with terrific force in which destroys it and then it slams into Sai and Danzo causing them to yell out in pain from the attack as Sai loses 4100 life-points, ending the duel right now.

With the end of the duel, Black-Winged Dragon’s attack causes a huge explosion forcing everyone down in which Naruto protects Ayane while Kurenai protects Hinata with Ninja Ryu and Ninja Ayane protecting Tai, Kari, and their Digimon partners through the Crimson Dragon protects them with a barrier. With the explosion dying down, Black-Winged Dragon roars as it vanishes from the area while Davis collapses onto his right knee.

Kari says, stunned, “Davis!” Kari runs over through she stumbles as she is weak from the ‘interrogation’ that she went through by Danzo and his ROOT’s hands going over to him. Kari asks Davis, “Are you okay, Davis? Does anything hurt?”

Davis replies, with a weak smile, “Everything, but my earlobes, Kari.”

Veemon says, with a smile, “He’s okay, Kari.”

Just then Kari notices Davis’ ‘Mark of the Dragon’ which has stopped glow and she asks, amazed, “Davis, what’s that?”

Davis looks at his arm and he says, confused, “I don’t know, Kari. It appeared on my arm when I summoned that dragon.”

Ninja Ryu comes over and he says, “That’s the ‘Mark of the Dragon’, a symbol of a warrior of the Crimson Dragon, an entity that has protected this world and humanity ages ago. Those who have that are known as ‘Signers’, protectors of humanity.”

Davis says, nervously, “Okay…” When the smoke and dust from the explosion cleared, Danzo and Sai are missing in which Jiraiya is looking around.

Kurenai asks Jiraiya, “Jiraiya-sama, do you think that attack…?”

Jiraiya says, seriously, “No, it didn’t. Danzo is still alive. Even through that some power from this place made the damage from the duel real, this kid’s final attack with his dragon didn’t kill Danzo and his ROOT operative dueling him. If they died, there would be remains of some kind and there is nothing. And that attack wasn’t strong enough to vaporize them, Kurenai.” Jiraiya says, with a serious tone, “We are going to need to work fast. Kurenai, I’m going to need your help. We need to work fast to get evidence to show Danzo’s treachery.”

Just then a female voice calls out, “There is no need.” Everyone looks to the source to see Kasumi with bodies of defeated ROOT ninja all around her and files in her hands in which she says, “I have all the information that you need.”

Ninja Ryu says, plainly, “Kasumi…”

Leon asks, curiously, “Friends of yours, Ryu-san?”

Ninja Ayane says, plainly, “My older half-sister and former heiress of the Mugen Tenshin clan, Kasumi.”

Jiraiya says, with a whistle, “So, you are the infamous Kasumi, huh? I’ve got to say that I love your work.”

Kurenai asks Kasumi, “What are you doing here? Are you here for sanctuary since you are a missing ninja from your clan?”

Kasumi replies, “That and more. I have here because I have something important to the five bearers of the Crimson Dragon’s mark. I hold the Dragon’s Orb.”

There are gasps of shock and Ninja Ryu asks, in a rare surprised tone, “The Dragon’s Orb?”

Rachel asks Ryu, surprised, “Ryu…?”

Kasumi says, with a nod, “Yes, Ryu-sama. The Hokage already knows about this and knows what I have planned for it.”

Naruto asks, curiously, “What’s the Dragon’s Orb?”

Ninja Ryu replies, plainly, “One of the most powerful dragon artifacts in the world, Naruto, created by the Crimson Dragon itself.” There are plenty of gasps of shock while Davis, Tai, Kari, and their Digimon partners gives look of confusion as they don’t know what’s going on, but they feel that they are about to learn soon enough with all five Signers now together…

Next time on Chapter 12:

Davis: Wait! I’m supposed to be one of these Signers and protect the world?! I mean I’ve saved the world before, but something tells me that this isn’t going to be like what I did with the Digidestined.

Ryu: Hey, Davis, what is it about that strange dragon seal that you fought that Sai kid in?

Tai: And what did you mean that you are a ninja like these guys?

Jiraiya: I’ll tell you. He comes from two ancient ninja clans in which one of them is the guardian of an ancient trapped in that seal that he dueled on. He is the last of those guardians.

Davis: Tell me something that I don’t know, bud. And let just say that I don’t have any fond memories of this place.

Kari: What happened Davis?”

Davis: Something bad, Kari. Something real bad.

Third Hokage: I knew that Danzo was doing thing that were illegal, but I never knew… This shall not stand! Before I am done, Danzo shall be forever named in infamy!

Naruto: It’s about time those old frats and jerks got what they deserve! Now, I can get onto training to do my father’s jutsu! And I just learned how to do the first step!

Mysterious Person: So, the five Signers have joined up at last, huh? I believe that they see what the true fury of the Neo Dark Signers shall do.

Shadi: So, you have finally returned to see if you are worthy of this having this item and using the great Dragon Sword? However, I am not your opponent for the test of the puzzle.

Leon (shocked): That’s…

Pharaoh Atem: I shall be your opponent for this duel. Do you believe that you are worthy of my legacy? Prepare for a duel like no other!

And that’s where I’ll end this chapter! It shouldn’t be too surprising on who from Digimon Adventure 01/02 that I chose to be Crow’s ‘successor’ since I wanted this person to be a lot like Crow. Anyway, the five Signers are assembled and the action is going to get more intense with the drama getting more incredible, I hope. And that’s right, Atem from the original Yu-Gi-Oh R series is going to make an appearance for a special duel, but which of the Signers is he going to duel? You are going to read and find out everyone! And Davis’ ‘heritage’ in the Elemental Countries in this story shall be revealed as well, but you need to keep reading, folks!
