‘Till Halloween by Yaoi Girl

Needless to say, Lavi was in a bit of a panic. His mind was racing with too many thoughts from his own actions and words as well as Allen’s.

He now knew that Allen, his cute, smart, younger male neighbor had a crush on him. Unfortunately, even though he had admitted that he liked the silver haired teen, with the other boy in confusion over his emotions at the moment he couldn’t bring himself to do anything to prove to Allen just how much he really meant to him.

‘I’ll just talk to Allen later in the afternoon if he’s feeling better and we’ll see where things go from there. It would make his birthday just that much more special, I’m sure. Or bad if he doesn’t come to terms with what he feels…’ he mused with a sigh, still unable to sleep, and the fact that Allen was thrashing around next to him didn’t help at all. Nor Miya clawing at his closed bedroom door and mewling at the top of her little lungs.

For a few hours, he laid there and mused, mulling over thought after thought, consequence after consequence, and totally exhausted.

‘May as well do something productive,’ he sighed as he climbed out of his bed, running a hand through his hair as he stood, glancing down to the sleeping beauty who was sprawled all over the bed with half the covers kicked to the floor.

A shower could wait for a bit, so he simply grabbed a T-shirt from his dresser and a pair of baggy sweatpants before heading to the kitchen, Miya following him despite the glare he gave her on the way out the door.

Once in the kitchen, not hungry at the moment but needing something constructive to do, on a whim he grabbed a large mixing bowl and some measuring cups and spoons before starting to pull various ingredients out of the cupboards and fridge.

“I don’t even know if he likes chocolate or vanilla cake…” Lavi thought aloud as he eyed a couple of the ingredients before pulling out another mixing bowl. “Marble cake it is.”

And with that, he set to work measuring out and mixing everything together before combining the two in a cake pan for a beautiful marble cake.

Once he threw it in the oven, he quickly washed his utensils and bowls, putting away some things and pulling out a few new ones while he mixed lots of powder sugar with egg white, vanilla extract, butter flavoring, a bit of water, and some shortening.

“Perfect,” he smiled as he dipped his finger in the delicious homemade butter cream icing before licking the white goo off. “What color should I make it?”

He eyed his four choices: red, yellow, blue, and green.

He shrugged, scooping out a little less that half of the icing, placing it in another bowl as he put a few drops of blue food coloring in the fuller bowl and a few drops of yellow in the other before mixing and covering them, placing them in the fridge until the cake was done and cooled, once again cleaning up his mess.

“Now what should I do?” he thought as he plopped down in one of the kitchen chairs, chin in the palm of one hand while his other hand’s fingers drummed against the table.

He simply sat until the timer went off for the cake, pulling it out and setting it on the counter to cool off, and of course turning the oven off.

‘Guess I’ll watch TV until he wakes up.’ And with that, he ventured into the living room, tugging the plush blanket around his shoulders as he curled up on the couch with the remote in his hand.

Lavi had channel surfed for about 15 minutes before deciding there was nothing on worth watching, so he clicked it off and huddled up on the couch to go to sleep. And sleep he did until late in the afternoon.

When he finally came to with a stretch and yawn, he stood, ready to head down the hall to check up on Allen, only to notice his spare key sitting on the end table next to the couch.

With a sad expression, he picked the key up and held it tightly while he walked down to his room to find an empty bed. “Allen…”

“What?” came a voice from Lavi’s bathroom before a head with mused silver hair poked out with a toothbrush hanging from his mouth.

Startled, Lavi stepped back, stepping on the ever present Miya’s tail who wailed and ran away to hide. “I thought you had left.”

“I went home for a little bit so I could change,” he shrugged as he ducked back into the bathroom to finish with his teeth. “Did I scare you?”

“Yeah,” he murmured as his grip tightened on the key. “I thought you’d left for good.”

“Why would I?”

“Well, there was that whole conversation last night and then when I woke up, your key was just sitting there and you weren’t in the bed…”

Allen smiled sweetly as he stood just in front of the red head. “Lavi, I always put the key there so I know where it is.”

He couldn’t recall ever seeing the key sitting there before, but he shrugged. “You hungry?”

The younger teen grimaced a bit. “My stomach’s still not ready for food just yet.”

“You…ready to talk, then?” Lavi asked shyly and he could’ve sworn that Allen just turned about two shades paler.

“Sure.”

Since they were already in the bedroom, the pair just sat on the bed, facing away from each other, neither knowing where or how to start.

“Do you care that I feel this way?” Allen finally asked as his fingers wove in seemingly impossible patterns, his eyes fixed there as he awaited the response nervously.

“Allen,” Lavi laughed somewhat, making the other boy stiffen somewhat as he didn’t know what was coming. “To be honest with you, you’re not the only guy that’s ever felt that way. I’ve had a boyfriend here and there.”

“But have you ever felt the way I have before with any of them?”

“Well, how exactly do you feel?”

“I get excited when I’m near you, I want to hug you, be near you all the time. I don’t like being away from you at all. You’re all I think about, Lavi. If I had friends here other than you, you’d be all I talk about to them. I know this will sound cheap but, you’ve changed me. I’ve always been afraid of people, afraid to feel anything for them because I feared being turned away.”

“Am I the first person you’ve felt this for?”

“Yes.”

Lavi knew that feeling all too well. Allen was already in love.

“I’ve felt that way about one of the guys I’ve been with. But in the end, he just wanted to use those feelings to his advantage. So I got rid of him, even though it hurt me so much.”

A short silence fell before Allen gently called out Lavi’s name.

“Yeah?”

“Do you…” he sighed, raking a hand through his hair before turning and pulling himself up onto the bed to face the red head’s back. “Do you feel the same for me?”

Lavi felt the pressure changes in the mattress, and so turned to face the younger, vulnerable teen before him. “Not exactly the same, but I do like you a lot,” he said as he positioned himself sitting and facing Allen as well.

Allen couldn’t hold back anymore as he pushed himself across the bed and wrapped his arms tightly around Lavi.

Smiling softly, Lavi wrapped his arms around Allen as well, whispering in his ear to calm the now sobbing teen.

“It’s nothing to be afraid of.”

“But it’s not normal either!”

“Normal is whatever you deem to be normal. Normal to society is a stereotype. Look at me.”

Allen shook his head against Lavi’s chest, refusing to look up.

“Allen,” Lavi said as he reached down and titled Allen’s tear streaked face up by his chin. “Look at me,” he repeated even as those pale blue eyes averted to the side.

As he held Allen’s head in place by his chin, he leaned in and slowly licked away those salty watery trails causing the silver haired teen to wince slightly against the feeling.

“If you’d just look at me, I wouldn’t be doing that,” he whispered in Allen’s ear before he licked it and back away, finally meeting Allen’s unsure gaze.

“I’m looking.”

The hand that was on his chin moved up to his cheek, the other hand on his other cheek as he inched closer to the younger teen’s face.

“Then watch,” he said before he closed his lips around Allen’s.

It wasn’t at all surprising to Lavi when Allen didn’t try to kiss him back, seeing as he was probably frozen in shock or embarrassment and had probably never kissed anyone before.

Lavi backed away, slightly taken aback when Allen’s arms shot up to his shoulders, holding him in place.

“Teach me,” he whispered against Lavi’s lips, eyes pleading.

“Just do as I do,” he replied as he claimed Allen’s lips in another kiss, the younger hesitantly trying to mimic what Lavi was doing. But when Lavi licked his lower lip, he had no clue what to do. “Open your mouth,” he then murmured against the boy’s lips before slipping his tongue inside, startling Allen.

This odd sensation filled Allen as Lavi’s tongue danced around in his mouth, trying to get Allen to join him, but Allen was just so scared and nervous.

The red head backed away, smiling. “You have to use yours too. It’s not a one sided thing.”

Allen nodded as Lavi rested their foreheads together. “It just feels so weird.”

“You’ll learn to like it,” he said as he dipped down again taking advantage of Allen’s already parted lips.

Allen quickly caught on and the pair was soon fervently kissing, the younger moaning into Lavi’s mouth as all these new sensations filled him to the brim.

Once the kissing and roaming hands became too much for Lavi, he abruptly pulled away from Allen altogether, both of there faces flushed.

“What’s wrong?” Allen inquired as he wiped the saliva away from around his mouth.

“I can’t teach you anything else until tomorrow,” Lavi smirked. “Otherwise it’s called rape.”

At this, Allen’s entire face lit up a bright red.

“But, I can take care of this for you,” he continued to smirk as he trailed his fingers over the bulge on Allen’s pants.

“N-n-no! That’s okay!” he stammered, totally embarrassed. “I’ll take care of it myself.”

“Well, then,” he said as he leaned in for a quick kiss. “While you take care of that, I’ve got something to finish as well.”

Lavi then stood and headed down the hall while the still flushed Allen ventured to the bathroom and quickly closed the door behind himself.
