(Author's POV)
In a dark room, Satoshi laid asleep; his head resting in his arms and his upper body resting over a desk. Whispering voices came from all around. They mumbled about the warning letter they had received earlier that day. "A phantom thief?"
"So it says..."
"Coming to steal a painting?"
"Yes..."
The officials quietly discussed what actions should be taken to avoid theft. One, looking over to Satoshi, decided it was time to wake him. Arising from his chair, he quietly walked over to Satoshi, and patted him on the back, "Sorry to wake you, Master Hiwatari."
Satoshi rubbed his sleepy eyes, and took a glance around the dimly lit room. "What time is it?" he asked.
"It's nearly midnight," said another official.
"I see," Satoshi reached for his glasses, and placed them on, "So, why did you wake me?"
"We received a warning notice from a certain dark phantom. Do you know anything about this, Master Hiwatari?"
Gasping at the sudden news, Satoshi suddenly showed no sign of exhaust. He arose from his seat, and asked, "A dark phantom! Is it signed by Phantom Dark?!"
Clearing his throat, the official sitting at the far end of the table announced, "Yes. It would appear so. The notice clearly states that this Phantom Dark will be stealing a painting from a local museum. Apparently, that museum is partly going under some modifications in the security settings; making this painting much more vulnerable for theft."
"Well then. The phantom chose perfect timing," Satoshi said, resting back into his seat.
"Are you just going to lie back and watch the thief steal a precious piece of art?"
Satoshi thought for a moment. He knew that it was his job to protect his family's art works from the phantom, but if he went, would he see Daisuke? "Master Hiwatari?"
Satoshi wasn't ready to see him, just yet. But there was always Krad... "No. I will not just sit around and watch the legendary phantom steal another one of my family's work of art."
"Very well. We have a unit of officers on their way over there as we speak."
"A unit?" Satoshi chuckled. He knew very well that not just one unit could put a stop to the phantom thief. But he didn't feel it was necessary to alert them of the issue. Satoshi was sure that Krad could take care of everything.

"Yes?" asked the guard at the door.
"Your ride has arrived," said the voice.
"Very well," said an official, "Then, Master Hiwatari, shall we proceed?"
Satoshi nodded, and followed the officials out.
DAISUKENIWADAISUKENIWADAISUKENIWA
Dark sat perched on the ledge of the museum's rooftop. Imitating the gargoyles that rested beside him, he sat still, but that was until thunder struck, and rain began to fall. Groaning, Dark began to grow impatient, "Daisuke!" Dark complained, "How long are we gonna sit here! It's raining, and I'm getting wet!"
(Stop your complaining! You know the drill. We have to wait until midnight!) Dark groaned again. He didn't want to wait until midnight. He wanted to steal the painting now before he saw creepy boy. "Damn it! How much longer?!"
(Wait about five more minutes.)
"Fine. I'll wait five more minutes sitting here in the rain!" Dark rocked himself back and forth. He was so anxious to steal the painting but he had to be patient. Then, something caught Dark's eyes. He looked down the paved streets and through the rain, Dark saw car lights heading straight towards the museum, "Hey! It's the cops!"
(It's about time.) Dark flew into the open window, and without much effort, he was in. "Now, I just gotta wait for the cops to come and find me."
(We are not here to draw the attention of the police! Stay focused! You need to fine the painting, yes, but we still have to draw out Satoshi's attention! And you are dripping!)
"Well, what did you expect? I was sitting out in the rain. Wait a sec... Hey, Daisuke. Didn't your school take a tour of this place?"
(Yeah. I think...)
"Airhead."
(Well, I wasn't paying attention.)
“You were here just a few days ago!"
(Shut up! Or the cops will hear you! I can hear them coming!) "Huh?"
Dark raised his hand to his ear to listen for the sound of people walking, "Hmm...yes. I can hear them too."
(Hurry up and get to the painting before the cops do!)
"Daisuke, do you even know where it is?"
(I remember the picture. The extreme use of chiaroscuro made it very dramatic. Because it was a painting of cold fire and a blazing diamond, it symbolizes fantasy, or dreams. Yet it seems chaotic in the scene that the cold fire can burn on without anything, floating in midair. It also seems like an escape from the real world, something that would only exist in the imagination. It's illogical in its subject, yet dramatic in its colors. So, I'm guessing you'll find it in the 19th century Romanticism.)
"Yes! I knew you were good for something!"
With the help of Wiz, Dark was able to fly to the second floor, but when he spotted a few cops that had made it there before him; he knew he would have to do what he does best... sneak around them. "Now, watch and learn from the pro."
Daisuke had busted out laughing, and the sudden noise caused Dark to yelp in surprise.
"Hold on! I thought I heard something over there," the cops stared into the dark halls for a few brief moments, "Come on. Let's check it out. You three, continue on upstairs."
"Thanks a lot, Daisuke."
(Anytime!) Daisuke wasn't worried. He knew that Dark always had a way of avoiding the attention of the police. With his dark purple hair, and dark suit, Dark could easily blend into the dark corners, and once the police had gone past him, he darted to the closet pillar, and hide behind it. (It's a good thing that the Doric Columns are so wide. Otherwise, they would have seen you.)
"Ok, Daisuke, stop showing off your knowledge of art."
Dark waited for a while, and when the cops didn't leave, he knew he had to put Wiz into play.
"Wiz."
"Kyu?"
"I need you to distract them."
"Kyuu!"
Removing himself from Dark's back, Wiz took the shape of a human, and made himself identical to Dark. "Ahh, yes, that's good."
"Kyu?"
"Hurry up, or we might lose creepy boy, and we don't want to know how mad Daisuke would be."
"Kyu kyu kyu."
"Hmm, this must have been the easiest assignment ever!"
(That's because this museum is undergoing security-setting arrangements. While they are enhancing it, they've disabled all the alarm systems, making it much easier for us.)
"You know, Daisuke, it's like Satoshi picked the perfect time to run off."
Dark darted for the stairs, and arrived on the next floor. "It's too quiet..," Dark mumbled under his breath.
(Stay alert, Dark.) Suddenly, a flash of silver light caught Dark's eye. He turned to see a silver cross nearly floating in midair, "Huh?"
Thinking to himself that someone must be wearing the cross he said, "Come out of the shadows!"
A tall and slender boy stepped forth from the dark of the shadows. He wore white slacks and a black long sleeveless shirt, exposing his shoulders. Then, the light that reflected off the glasses also caught Dark's eyes, "Satoshi Hiwatari, then? Am I right?"
"Yes," said the boy, who revealed himself to indeed be Satoshi when he had stepped away from the shadows, "You are correct."
"It's about time. I thought you were never gonna show up!"
"Have you been waiting for me?" Satoshi asked, looking rather baffled.
"Actually, yes I have, or rather, Daisuke is," Dark smirked, and Satoshi narrowed his eyes.
"I see. Well, your patients has finally paid off, but I'm not gonna stick around for too much longer," Satoshi backed away into the shadows of the room.
"Hey! Creepy boy! Don't go runnin' off now!" Dark shook his head. Damn that guy was weird.
(Dark! Go after him! Or better yet, let me out!)
Suddenly, a bright light appeared from within the shadows, but quickly vanished after an ear piercing scream. (Satoshi!) Daisuke cried. "Krad..." Dark mumbled.
From behind the shadows stepped forth Krad, smirking with all his malicious intentions. "Hello, hello," greeted Krad as he crossed his arms over his chest, "We failed to meet last time, but it's such a joy to see you now."
"Tell me something, and be honest. Did you miss me, Krady boy?" Dark teased.
Krad suddenly disappeared from his whereabouts, and appeared before Dark. Gasping in surprise, Dark stepped back, and Krad stepped forwards; placing his index finger under Dark's dripping chin. "Honestly, I didn't."
"You're so cruel," said Dark who made some teary eyes, and even sniffed.
"Hmm, yes," Krad stepped back, then continued, "I'm not here to fight with you, as my keeper intended."
"Oh, really?" Dark asked.
"Actually, I'm not sure what has come over me, but Satoshi is all yours..." Krad vanished with a bright light that could have blinded Dark if he didn't look away. Once the light faded, Satoshi stood there, wide-eye, and in denial of what Krad had just done.
Leaning forwards, Dark said, "Aww, your curse has just bailed on you."
Leaning forwards, Dark said, "Aww, your curse has just bailed on you."
"Is this your idea of a joke, Krad?!" Satoshi yelled.
(No.) Krad simply answered. Looking up at Dark, Satoshi quivered, and took a step back.
"Awww," Dark teased, "Don't tell me you are scared of the cool and sexy thief."
(Um, Dark, isn't that suppose to be, 'big and bad'?)
"Please," Dark said aloud, "I know I'm not fat, and I know that I'm not bad... well, actually, I am bad..."
(You are so conceded!) Dark placed his hands on Satoshi's shoulders, and leaned down to look at him in the eyes. Satoshi gulped as Dark then drew closer, closing his eyes as he did. "Wha... what are you doing!"
Satoshi pushed Dark back before their lips could touch, and he fell onto his rear. "Ouch!" Dark cried as Satoshi made a run for it. (Dark! That wasn't part of the plan!) Daisuke cried out, hurry! Please run after him! I don't wanna lose him!)
"Yeah, yeah, I know," Dark darted off after Satoshi, "I just wanted to know what the boy tasted like. Simply to see if I was missing anything."
(Faster!) Daisuke yelled again.
Running as fast as he could, Dark had finally caught up with Satoshi, "Man, I didn't know the boy was such a sprinter!"
Satoshi slowed down, and made a sharp turn into a balcony. Dark nearly tipped as he tried to keep balance making the sharp turn, and followed Satoshi onto the balcony. "Ha!" Dark said nearly breath, "I have you...now..."
Satoshi panted, and found himself against the edge. On the third floor, jumping looked pretty risky. But if that meant escaping, or testing Daisuke's love for him, he would do it. Satoshi hoisted himself onto the ledge, careful not to slip on the wet marble, and stood up, high over Dark's head. "You thought you had me," he said, turning around.
"Satoshi don't do this! Please stop! Even for you, it's too high!" Dark cried, "Daisuke would never forgive you!"
Turing his head around so their eyes could meet. Satoshi whispered, "What does Daisuke care for me?"
A moment of silence passed as Dark gaped at Satoshi. A strong breeze blew, and Satoshi allowed his weight to pull him backwards. He purposely fell from the balcony.
"Damn it!" Dark cried.
He ran to the edge, but found himself being pushed back as Daisuke sprang forth, "WIZ!"
The little furry creature turned into Darks wings and planted himself on Daisuke as he plummeted down, reaching for Satoshi. Satoshi gasped as Daisuke had managed to catch him right before he hit the pavement. "Daisuke," Satoshi whispered feeling Daisuke's warm arms embrace him as Daisuke lifted them into the rainy sky.
Holding onto Satoshi as if determined never to let him go, Daisuke flew away from the museum, forgetting all about the ridiculous painting. Looking for a safe place to land, Daisuke had found one in a public garden. It was closed during the night, but didn't have any security guards walking around aimlessly. Daisuke managed to land by the pond, and once on their feet, Daisuke released Satoshi for a brief moment before pulling him back into his arms with such strength that Satoshi could barely breathe, his fingers digging painfully into Satoshi's sides. "I never want to let you go, Satoshi," Daisuke whispered against Satoshi's neck.
"Daisuke..," Satoshi gasped.
"How dare you!" Daisuke cried, looking up into Satoshi's eyes, "What ever convinced you to believe that I don't care for you?!”
"...you...care?" Satoshi asked, feeling rather stunned.
Knocking Satoshi onto the wet and muddy grass, Daisuke fell over him, and announced his confession that would convey the degree to which he loved him, "I love having you in my life, Satoshi. It has never been the same since you came into it, and I know it will never be the same again..," Daisuke kissed Satoshi's cheek, licking off some rain drops as he did, "I love you so much, Satoshi You are always inside of me, warm within my heart, and you are everywhere in the world that surrounds me. You come to me tenderly. You take my soul places it's never been before. You give me more of you than I ever knew you could give."
A teardrop fell from Satoshi's eye and was hidden with the rain, "You love me?"
Daisuke clenched onto Satoshi's shirt. Isn't that what he announced? Wasn't he listening to a word that he had spoken? "I pour out my heart to you, Satoshi, and all you can say is, 'you love me?'!"
"Daisuke...I..I don't know what to say..."
"You don't know what to say?! Can't you see that you're everything to me?! Can't you see that you're all I want...?"
Satoshi smiled, as if it had all finally hit him. Turing over, so that Daisuke was on the bottom, Satoshi said, "You can say all you want, but can you back up your words with actions?"
As Daisuke stared up as his beloved, as drops of water fell onto his face, and then he realized mere words could never describe the intensity of his feelings for Satoshi, "I love you, and if you don't believe me, then let my kiss reveal everything that there is to know."
Daisuke pulled Satoshi down, and their lips collided as they desperately clung to each other. Tasting the sweet flavor that they have been craving, Satoshi traced Daisuke's lips, begging for entrance. Parting his lips for Satoshi, he felt his mouth being ravished by Satoshi's hot tongue. Stroking Daisuke's tongue, Daisuke whimpered in pleasure, and moved his hands to hold onto Satoshi's head. "You're mine...," Daisuke murmured between the rough kisses, "Let me be the only...one...to kiss you. I won't allow you to kiss anyone else. Your lips, your body ...it's all mine..."
Satoshi moaned and moved his lips onto Daisuke's neck, craving to hear his lover's sweet cries of pleasure, and his efforts were finally rewarded when Daisuke lowly moaned deeply in this throat. Satoshi held on tighter to Daisuke as their kiss intensified. Daisuke clawed his fingers into Satoshi's strong shoulders, wanting so much more. His every breath was devoured by Satoshi's ravenous mouth. It felt so good to be in Satoshi's strong and protective embrace again. He longed for more. He wanted everything Satoshi had. He wanted to burn forever in the flames of Satoshi's intense passion.
"You've always been my undoing, Daisuke," Satoshi whispered.
"Tell me you love me…," Daisuke whimpered as Satoshi sucked on his sweet flesh.
"I love you… Daisuke, I love you so much," Satoshi maneuvered himself between Daisuke's legs, and rocked himself against Daisuke's growing desire.
Satoshi moved his lips to Daisuke's again, and this time, their tongues battled for dominance. That's the problem with male relationships, Satoshi thought; they both always want to be seme. Satoshi had put down Daisuke's tongue, and officially named himself seme for the night. He moved his hands over Daisuke's heated and soaked body, roaming every inch while he could. Savoring the moment that he knew wouldn't last forever. Feeling Daisuke squirming beneath him, Satoshi shifted his weight onto his left side, while his spare hand wondered south, and over the bulge in Daisuke's pants. "Ohmnn! I want to do it… Please Satoshi… take me…"
Satoshi moved himself so that he was hovering over the bulge in Daisuke's pants, and then slowly began to undo his pants, but then his ears picked up the sound of helicopters in the distance. "Damn it!"
Satoshi groaned as he heard the sound of sirens filling the air. Pulling himself off of Daisuke, he sat up, and looked down at the now pissed off Daisuke, "So, tell me, Satoshi, was it me that gave us away?"
Satoshi crawled up, besides Daisuke, and lightly kissed his lips, licking off some rain droplets as he did, "Hmm, let me think, it's not everyday that you see a flying angel with dark wings."
Daisuke giggled, then sat up. "They're coming, aren't they?"
"Yes," Satoshi stoked Daisuke's face, "They are. And you can't stay here, or they'll suspect you."
"No. I don't wanna leave you!"
"Shhh!" Satoshi tried to hush Daisuke, "Not too loud."
"Then promise me, Satoshi, that you'll move back into my room."
Satoshi blushed. He knew exactly what Daisuke was thinking. Or maybe it was just his mind that was perverted. "Yes. As soon as I can, I'll come back to you."
"Tomorrow?"
"I'll try my hardest," Satoshi possessively gathered Daisuke into his arms as he kissed him passionately one last time for the night. Once he released him, Daisuke called for Wiz, and managed to escape before the police had found them. "Tomorrow," Daisuke whispered to himself, looking back down at Satoshi who stood soaked beneath the falling rain, "I'll see you again tomorrow."
