Part the Second

In which the demon Lord Raenef sets out on a journey for redemption from his crimes against better sense, but instead discovers the deplorable and unwholesome pleasures of that sordid vice, voyeurism.

A preposterously petite and absurdly adorable demon lord poked his head out from under the heap of covers on his bed, his pale blond hair sticking out in odd directions. He'd been huddled there for the past fifteen minutes, sniveling in a pitiful and very un-demon-like manner.

"Eclipse must really hate me now!" he moaned to himself. Well, maybe "hate" was an exaggeration, but he surely wasn't happy with him. All Raenef ever did was cause trouble for him and embarrass him in front of others.

Raenef wondered how long this could last. Eclipse had said he'd stay with him forever, but… He made him angry so often. And he'd been really mad at him, this time. Eclipse often grew exasperated and irritable with him, but it was rare that he actually yelled about something. The words kept rattling around in his head, making his cheeks sting with shame.

"How can a servant be expected to perform his job properly if his master refuses to learn from him?!" Raenef had cringed away from that normally restrained and cultured voice contorting with anger, but Eclipse had only continued flinging his accusations. "It was a simple spell, my lord, you had only to pay attention to me for 5 minutes! Is it your intention to drive me mad or are you truly so incapable as all that?"

Raenef had only gotten so far as to say "H-how… d-dare you admon…ish…" before the tears had overcome him, and he'd turned away and shouted "go," sending himself to his own chambers before Eclipse could say anything else.

Since then he'd been hiding under the covers, sobbing his little heart out. He wanted so much to make Eclipse happy, for Eclipse to be proud of him, and all Raenef ever seemed to do was screw up and get rescued by his own servant.

The truly embarrassing thing about the entire ordeal was that he'd been determined to pay perfect attention today. He'd glued his eyes on Eclipse, focusing on each and every word - and his voice had sounded so nice and soft and soothing… And his almond eyes had shone like onyx… And his tuggable raven hair had gleamed so prettily in the sunlight… And he'd never noticed how slender and graceful Eclipse's neck was before… Nor how nice he looked when he tilted his head like that…

And then Eclipse was done explaining, and it was time for Raenef to try the spell. He didn't want to ask Eclipse to explain again; Eclipse would probably be irritated at him for not listening. He'd absorbed bits and pieces of what Eclipse had been saying, and he thought he had the gist of it. So he gave it his best try.

And blew up half the courtyard.

What hurt most was how nice Eclipse felt against him as he'd shielded him - right before he started yelling. He'd felt so warm, his robes so soft and his body so lean and strong. Raenef's vision had been streaked with soft black rainbows, and it had taken him a moment to realize that it was Eclipse's hair draping over his face. The soft skin of Eclipse's cheek had pressed against his own. Raenef could barely hear the roar of crashing stone over the roar of his own blood in his ears.

Then, as it settled, Eclipse had pulled back, and he'd asked - so very softly - "Master… Are you all right?"

Raenef's throat had seized up when he'd tried to answer, so he'd just nodded, a flush spreading rapidly over his cheeks. And Eclipse had kept gazing at him, the look in those ebony eyes so intense, so sad somehow, almost painful to look at. Raenef had almost thought Eclipse might… That maybe he was going to…

The little demon lord shook his head vigorously, forcing himself out of his unusual gloom. It wasn't any use to focus on that. He would just have to find a way to prove himself to Eclipse. One way or another, he'd make Eclipse proud of him.

"I'll…" he murmured. "I'll tell him I'm sorry. I'll…" Here he paused, his eyes lighting up. "I know! I'll ask him to show me how to fix what I broke!"

Nodding firmly to himself, he climbed out of the enormous bed and planted his feet to the floor, squaring his shoulders with demonly determination. Then, with a softly uttered "go," he teleported to Eclipse's chambers.

Raenef looked about the darkened room, finding no sign of his tutor. The thick velvet drapes were closed tight over the window, allowing no stray rays of the descending sun through. A single oil lamp lit the room. Its flame was turned down, casting a warm glow over the pages of the open book beside it.

Eclipse sure does read a lot, Raenef thought to himself. The only trace of disorder about this room was the books. They speckled the otherwise painfully neat and tidy surfaces of the desk and tables in the chamber.

The silence in here was a little creepy. Chewing idly on the tip of his index finger, Raenef inspected the room once more, just to make sure his dark haired servant wasn't tucked away into some quiet shadow. Nothing.

He doesn't seem to be here… Maybe I should check the library?

Of course! Why hadn't he checked there first, he wondered? He readied himself to do just that, picturing the library in his mind. However… That was when he heard it.

A muffled, quiet sound, like something between a grunt and a groan. It was such a quiet sound, and the silence around him was so thick, that Raenef almost thought he imagined it; but then he heard a soft splash tremble through the air.

Raenef's gaze darted to and fro, his mouth opening to call out his tutor's name. Before he did, however, he noticed the weak sliver of light cutting across the corner of the room, narrowing as it led to the bathroom door. The door stood slightly ajar. Maybe… Eclipse was taking a bath?

It was that thought that made him close his mouth again; he didn't want to be tortured with wedgies or butchered with a butter knife.

I'd better leave… Eclipse is already mad at me…

Raenef stared at that sliver of light, transfixed. It was getting bigger and brighter. He wondered about that for a moment before he belatedly realized that his feet were carrying him toward it. Why was he walking to the door?

What am I doing?!

But his feet didn't stop moving. It was if someone had hypnotized him and they simply wouldn't stop. Why was he doing this? Because… Because he wanted to see… to see… what?

Raenef reached the door. He held his breath, blinking and peering into the flickering light of the washroom.

To see that.

Eclipse reclined back in the water, hair floating over his shoulders, rivulets of water dripping down his face and shoulders. His eyes were closed, and Raenef had never seen an expression like that on Eclipse's face before. It looked almost like he was in pain, but… something about it was different than that.

His body was stretched out, blurred into a lithe, pale streak by the water. The door was cracked open wide enough that Raenef could see fairly well, if not perfectly, and the basin was not far from the door. If Eclipse were to open his eyes and turn his head Raenef's way, he might see him.

Raenef did not move.

Eclipse's was moving slightly, shoulders slipping against the porcelain, though it was difficult to discern what he was doing through the water. The demon lord heard a hiss pass through his tutor's lips, saw his hand moving low down on his body. Raenef squinted.

…Oh. So that was what Eclipse was doing.

…OH!

Raenef gulped. He shouldn't be seeing this. He should very definitely not be seeing this. Eclipse would be really angry if he knew Raenef was watching him.

Raenef didn't move.

He merely stood there, wide-eyed, as Eclipse touched himself, his heart stuck in his throat and a strange heat pooling low in his belly. Blood was pounding loudly in his ears, and he felt his face flaming with embarrassment. He knew that he should leave, that it wasn't right to watch this.

But he couldn't. He couldn't make himself move.

Eclipse's body rocked slightly, breath hitched a little. Raenef felt a slight jerk in his stomach, a strange tingling in his thighs.

He's really… beautiful…

Abruptly a slight convulsion passed through that white body, sending the water lapping against the edges of the tub. Eclipse's head tilted back further, exposing a long, elegant line of neck. His lips parted, smooth brow furrowed in concentration as he drew in a sharp breath.

The slightly more sensible side of Raenef's psyche was still struggling for dominance. It tried to tell him that Eclipse was already mad at him, and he didn't want to make him even angrier, and that this was wrong besides; but all of its admonitions had, however, been turned into a muffled and unintelligible honking. His less sensible and immensely curious side had long since gagged its partner quite soundly.

A low rumbling sound began to tremble up through the soles of Raenef's feet. Eclipse was growling, he realized. Raenef gaped, his eyes growing to twin green moons. His tutor was actually growling, his lips pulled back to reveal perfectly pointed canines.

The sound reverberated in Raenef's loins. What could Eclipse be imagining…? And what would those teeth feel like latched onto Raenef's neck?

Raenef gasped quietly in shock at his own thoughts. Where had that come from? He didn't… He hadn't ever… But oh, now he really did want to know.

Raenef found himself guiltily wishing he could see better. It was impossible to see exactly what Eclipse's hand was doing under the water, and well, Raenef wanted to see. Of course Raenef had touched himself like that before - he knew what Eclipse was doing. But Eclipse probably had a lot more experience at… well… that than Raenef did…

Eclipse let out a low, soft, and very sensuous moan.

…And he probably had a lot more experience at doing that to other people, as well, he thought with a gulp.

He felt the tugging sensations in his abdomen tighten further. What did it feel like, he wondered? Eclipse's eyes were hooded, lips parted slightly, face contorted in an expression that looked at once like endless pleasure and excruciating pain. Raenef desperately wanted to feel it for himself, to know what it was that could make his tutor's normally stoic expression turn to something so… Urgent and needy and… Hot…

And then all Raenef could think of was - "What would it feel like if Eclipse were touching me like that…?"

Abruptly Raenef had to bite down on his tongue to keep from crying out. A lightning bolt had shot down his spine at the thought, and it lit those steadily glowing embers in his loins to a fiery blaze.

And… Ow… His pants were suddenly much too tight! He moved his hand around to rub gently at the discomfort, but, needless to say, he found that did not help his problem. It didn't help at all.

Breathe. Must breathe. He had to calm down. You should leave now, he told himself firmly. His feet stayed rooted to the floor as if they were nailed to it.

Raenef closed his eyes. Breathe. Remember to breathe.

Would Eclipse do those things with him, if Raenef asked him to? Could he feel those hands on his own body? Eclipse was Raenef's servant, so… Didn't that mean that he had to, if Raenef told him to?

No! He couldn't make Eclipse do something like that. How awful. Besides, servant or no, the thought of anyone making Eclipse do anything seemed downright absurd.

But maybe… Maybe I could just ask for a kiss…

Certainly Eclipse would be willing to give him that. But… What else would Eclipse give him, if Raenef asked for it? And would he give it because he wanted to, or just because he was Raenef's servant? Raenef didn't want it to be just -

The sound of water sloshing at the sides of the bath brought Raenef's attention back to the spectacle before him. His tutor's slim, powerful hips were bucking out of the water now, his fingers clawing frantically at the side of the basin, his eyes shut tightly against the force of whatever had possessed him.

Oh… Oh, gods. Raenef suddenly had to grip the edge of the table next to the door to keep his legs from giving out beneath him. He cupped himself through his pants, feeling his arousal straining tightly against the linen as his hips swayed gently against the pressure. It was the only way he could bear the discomfort of it anymore.

He watched as Eclipse groaned, and he unconsciously parted his lips and tightened his grip on both the table and his arousal. That had to be the most erotic sound that had ever been made by anything in the whole wide world, Raenef thought. His tutor's breath was coming in ragged pants, his thrusts becoming more erratic as he neared his peak.

Raenef sucked in a breath and held it, waiting. Eclipse spasmed, once, twice, and then he arched up out of the water like some magnificent beast, the water pouring off of him as his head flung back. He heard Eclipse gasp, growl, and then let out a strangled cry.

"…ra… RAENEF!"

Raenef blinked. Raenef stared. Raenef gaped. Eclipse shuddered silently.

Not a single muscle twitched in Raenef's body as he watched Eclipse relax, slowly sinking back down into the water, chest heaving. He played the sound back over in his head.

Again.

And again.

And yet again. Eclipse had definitely called out the name "Raenef."

But… Raenef… That's my name!

Yes. Yes, that was his name. He was sure of it. Raenef was his name. Right?

Right. Raenef was his name.

…Dear gods, Eclipse had called out HIS name!

Something somewhere in Raenef's chest imploded, and he staggered back a step. He grasped at the ledge of the table, scrambling to balance himself - and promptly knocked a large tomb of who knew what sort of book off of it. It hit the floor with a heart stoppingly jarring "clunk."

Raenef let out a squeak of dismay, staring at the evil book with round doe eyes. The gushing sound coming from the bathroom let him know Eclipse had heard, and was getting out of the bath.

Oh no! What do I do?! I can't let him find me here…

Raenef looked around frantically and started to run for the bedroom door before he remembered that he could teleport. Then, in mid stride, he hissed "go" under his breath, and he was gone.

Just as he disappeared, the bathroom door flew open.
