Digimon Fan Fiction ❯ A Twist of Fait ❯ A Twist of Fait ( Chapter 8 )

[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]

Ok here it is chapter 8. Hope you enjoy it. OH, and before I forget. If I get reviews for the last chapter you won't be getting a thank you if me gave me ideas or helped me with any mistakes since I'm writing this shortly after it was just posted, but if I happened to get a review and haven't posted this chap up yet than for sure you're going to get some thanks. That probably didn't make any sense. Ok, maybe it did, but that doesn't matter. Finishing the fic does. Cause if you've checked my author's page than you'll see this is the only fic on there on the moment. See it gets kind of confusing if I start to write another fic while I'm still in the middle of finishing up a different one so there won't be any different fics up until this one's done. But why would you care right? Ok, so maybe you might if you really like how I write so far, but some people wouldn't. Enough of my ranting though, on with the fic!

Special Thanx: sassiecat321 for your idea in the review you gave me. I very much appreciated it and am also thinking of how I can use it without actually taking the entire thing. Got a pretty good idea what I'm going to do with it though. Thanx again!

Ken woke up with a start. He didn't have a bad dream or anything he just had the sudden urge to wake up. `Weird, but it's probably cause I'm not eating as much as I used to and that wasn't much to begin with.'

It's been a month since TK's disappearance. Ken stopped visiting with Matt and Tai even if he really needed them or at least someone who would understand. He'd even told TK's mother and his parents what was going on between them about a week ago. He was a bit surprised by their result but when…if they found TK, he was sure they were going to talk about the relationship then when they weren't so worried about him being hurt.

*~*Flashback to last week*~*

Ken had called up TK's mother. He didn't want to do this, but didn't have much of a choice. TK's other friends cried about him, yeah, but not as much as Ken was. His parents were getting worried and possibly suspicious so he decided to tell him. It was also when he decided to stop bugging Tai and Matt with his problems thinking they were sick of his childish sobbing.

He was sitting in the kitchen at the round table with his parents, all three waiting for the blonde's mother to arrive.

The doorbell was sounded and Ken motioned for his parents to follow and than pointed to the couch for them to sit on. When he answered it was obvious she'd been crying too, not as much as Ken though. At least that's what Ken thought knowing his eyes were much redder than hers.

She sat on the couch with the other Ichijouji's and Ken cleared his throat. He didn't actually prepare anything and actually when he tried he started crying more because he had to think of TK and him being together. He took a deep breath and fought back the tears that were threatening to come. His mother was about to come over to comfort him, but he gave a stern and almost icy look at her to stay put and now move.

A silent tear made it's way past Ken as he breathed for the last time before speaking.

"This is going to be hard for me to say and even harder since TK isn't here to help me with it." Ken's voice was going to crack he just knew it was, but it was too late now. The three adults were looking at him so intently waiting for him to continue. He didn't care if he cried though as long as he wasn't being a burden to anybody about his problems he didn't care, especially Matt and Tai.

"You've probably been curious as to why I've been crying the most of all TK's friends, even his brother if I think about it correctly." His parents nodded and seeing his lover's mother looking at him and than his parents, nodded slightly too showing her agreement that she must've been picked of from one of the others that knew of their relationship, Matt probably since she's his mother.

"You see, TK and I." That it! His voice cracked. He was sobbing uncontrollably again and it was going to be a while before Ken could continue in a nicely mannered tone, but if he put it off he wasn't going to be able to say it again.

"TK and I were going out! We were in love with each other!" Ken blurted it out before another wave of emotion and tears came. After he said it though, they did. He fell to his knees and sobbed, he didn't care how he looked. He told them so they didn't have anything left to do but yell at him and tell him how disgusting it was.

Someone was approaching him, probably to knock some sense into him. Gently fingers wrapped around his arms and the other hand lifted his face to meet theirs. It was his koi's mother.

"So that's why my baby has been so happy when he was here." Ken nodded. "I'm glad he's found someone so special and caring to love him." Ken was stunned his parents were at his side comforting him now too, saying something along the same lines as the first.

*~*End*~*

Ken didn't really talk to his friends after that. Now that his parents and his TK's mother knew he didn't have to lock himself in his room to hide his tears. He still closed his door, but didn't lock it.

There was a gentle knock on the door and Kari entered after a moment of silence from the other end.

"Ken?" She closed the door behind her and walked over to the sulking, dismantled boy lying on his bed. "Ken, my brother's been worried about you. We all have been. You need to get out of this room or your going to get sick. Your parents are worried too and said something about you not eating right. Is that true, Ken?"

Tai had obviously told her, at least, to keep her voice at a whisper seeing how it always seen to help in a way with him and Matt. Still, Ken didn't answer her. He never spoke anymore and the only things that really came out of his mouth were his sobs and cries of his broken-heart and sorrow. Loneliness was eating away at him. He wanted Kari to leave.

"Ken, please, don't do this. Think of how TK would feel if he knew if he saw you and how you were acting right now. It would tear him to pieces." Kari whispered as tears came out of her eyes.

`Kari, if TK knew, if he saw me, he wouldn't care. And if he did, which I highly doubt, he'd be here with me instead of letting this happen. Now, please, just go and leave me alone.' Ken thought to himself, but kept his lips pursed tightly closed. He had come to believe that TK was never coming back and never cared about him in the first place, but there was still a trickle of him that was trying to fight it back, but was losing badly and fast.

"Ken?" Kari was really crying now, but trying hard to keep her voice at a whisper and not crack. Ken was sure now that Tai had something about it to her. "Please, if you're not going to talk at least eat something. I'd hate it if something happened to you too."

`But why would you care? You never seemed to before. Or maybe you really don't.' Ken rolled over with his back facing Kari, the door, and everything else except the wall that greeted. He closed his eyes just as he heard Kari whisper a goodbye and exit through the door.

Ken fell asleep. A restless, but dreamless sleep.

~*~*~*~

TK carelessly moved with the man above him. He was in his only little world now. He had built it a couple days ago. He's given up all hope that his friends would look for him or anyone at that.

`They never cared anyway. They only used you.' TK would hear a voice in the back of his head. He didn't hear it much anymore though. He was too into his little world to care. He'd lost hope somewhere along the line. He didn't know when. It could have been yesterday or a few hours ago or maybe even three days ago. Since there was no clock or window or anything in the room to help him define what day or hour or time a day it was he couldn't keep track. If he were lucky the guy would tell him. He wouldn't scream anymore, he'd always escape to his black little world when the guy came in and never seemed to notice that the guy left until sometime later. He just couldn't feel anymore. He hardly noticed when the guy thrust with all his might into him or when an orgasm was unleashed into his body for the umpteenth time. Or even when the guy force fed him or beat him for that sake. Sometimes he would see little flashes go off but never tried to figure out what they were. This time was one of the times.

In truth the guy had actually found something knew to do with TK and would've been able to find the date whenever another flash came up. The flash was actually one that belonged to a camera. The man had decided to have a bit of fun after fucking and beating the boy to hell and back. He took pictures of him with a Polaroid camera and wrote the date at the bottom in the blank spot. The one that was just taken had been posted and written in the white rectangle was the date. December 2nd, 2002. It had been about two months and two weeks since his disappearance, maybe a few days before or after.

RING RING

Tai raced to the phone and picked it up. He'd been hoping for a little bit of good news since he'd just found out about two weeks ago the real reason Ken wasn't coming to anybody anymore.

"Moshi, Moshi. Kamiya residence, this is Tai speaking."

"Ah, yes, Tai Kamiya, just the one I wanted to speak with." It was the voice of an old man in his late sixties or so. Tai recognized very well in the past couple of months.

"Hello, Mr. Suzuki is there anything up." It was the chief of police. He'd been calling every so often to give an update on the search of TK.

"Fine, fine everything's fine. I've got something to tell you though; I think it might be best if you and your friends come over here so I can tell you in person. Meet me in front of the police station in about a half an hour."

"Yes, sir." He hung up the phone and dialed everyone's number to tell him or her. Luckily, they were all able to go. Matt and Tai agreed to pick up Ken after talking to his mother, giving the permission, as long as he came out of his room she didn't really care.

They met up half way, Tai making a quick stop before going to Ken's place. Matt half carried half pulled Ken along and met up with Tai outside. He was very reluctant to say go but didn't say anything about it like usual.

Tai cocked half a smile. `What can he be happy about?' Ken wondered. His eyes popped out of his head at the sight Tai had just put in front of his face. He launched for it, but Matt held him back and Tai smirked.

"I thought this might help. I'll give you this present if you do something for me." Ken HAD to get it so he nodded. "Good, you have to come with me and Matt to go meet Mr. Suzuki at the police station. He's got something to tell us and told me to bring everyone." Ken nodded and was released by the blonde. Tai gave him the fabric happily, watching Ken follow without any reluctance now as he followed.

Ken happily snuggled into the familiar jeans jacket. He had given it back after he told the three adults about him and TK and hadn't seen anything else that would cuddle up and be as good as the jacket. He put it on and cuddled even more, breathing in the scent it brought, which was TK's room.

`A part of me wants to throw this jacket into a fire and watch it burn, but the other half is winning in telling me to keep it and hold it tight. I wonder what's going to happen. What's up with going to the police station after this long of waiting? Haven't been there since we filed the report, at least me anyway.' Ken thought to himself.

In reaching the police station everyone was already there. They piled into the police cars that the chief pointed to and were driven off into the sunset. When they stopped after about twenty minutes or so they reached an abandoned building.

"What's up, Mr. Suzuki?" Tai asked walking up next to him.

"Everyone, I've got news you'll either be very happen to hear and than again you might be very frightened. We've located this abandoned building to be the place that TK is at. He's being held by someone as a captive inside this building. The thing we aren't sure of though is if he's alive or not." He finished and saw everyone's ears build up in tears in fears of the latter.

Ken felt the tears coming and only one thought came to mind: TK was inside the building. Before he knew it he was running towards the building crying and whispering TK's name to himself. He was caught by one of the other policeman that drove the kids here and struggled against him.

"Now, now. Please settle down. This is a delicate operation and we aren't sure how we're going to do it yet. But we defiantly aren't going to barge in without some sort of plan." The man said trying to stop Ken from getting away. Tai came over and put his hand on Ken's shoulder, surprisingly, Ken turned and wrenched himself from the man and latched onto Tai and cried like he had been.

Tai patted his head softly and Matt came over rubbing circles on his back.

"Shhh, everything's going to be fine, you'll see, Ken. We'll get TK back and you can be happy again, I promise."

Matt mumbled something that only Tai could hear and maybe Ken too. "Yeah and when we do and I find out who has him I `m going to crack his skull in anyone else's who's going to try and stop me."

Ken obviously heard and looked at Matt with pleading eyes. "Do it for me too? Please."

"Yeah, sure, Ken. I'm sure you deserve a lot of whooping done for them putting you through so much pain."

Ken nodded and let go of Tai, sobered up a little bit and looked as normal and calm as he could.

It was about two hours later when finally decided the best way to get TK was to use the kids' help. All the new Digidestined agreed to do it without any hesitation. Ken was the first one to go, compliments of his friends who at least smiled about the enthusiasm he put in it; Ken even smiled and it was good to see it again after suck a long time.

`It's weird though,' Ken thought as he got ready for the delicate operation of crawling the air duff to TK. `About two days ago I had made myself believe that TK had used me and left because of me. And the part of me that didn't want to believe it had lost completely by then too. Now that we found him all I can do is get him back not even thinking about that. And it's the truth too. It's like it switched places. The best part is, I like it. NO! Love it. I love TK and nothing is ever going to change it.' "Hold on, TK. We're coming for you." Ken said happily.

Fifteen minutes they were under way. The policemen and chief helped all the Digi-kids into the air duff one by one. Davis was first followed by Ken, who wanted to be first but agreed to second since he was their leader after all (it still didn't change how he felt though), Kari was after him, Cody after her, and Yolei made the back up. Davis was holding the map that Izzy had skillfully printed out for them from his computer researching and he was following it. The weird part was: he was actually quiet, serious, and following it the right way.

`Impressive, I wonder why Davis is like this. Doesn't matter. I'm glad of it.' Ken thought as he turned a corner. Since there were little openings every so often when it came to a new room they could look in as they past to see if TK or anyone else was in there. Izzy had highlighted a path for Davis that would lead through the main hall and so forth and he was hoping TK would be somewhere near there. Since Davis was following the map, it was up to Ken, Cody, and Yolei to look in the other rooms they past by when there were other turns. Davis waited as Ken turned and peered through the slits of the AC (AN: I don't know if that's what it, but it's the thing that lets the cold air come through so I'll call it the AC). He shook his head and replaced himself behind Davis and crawled on.

It seemed like forever until Ken thought he heard something from a ways away in one of the rooms off the side and a little ways straight ahead. He glanced at his watch. They first crawled in at around 6 and it was now 7:45.

`Already an hour and forty-five minutes. At least I heard something, maybe it's TK!' He didn't say anything and he didn't want to stop the group. He was going to ask if they heard it, but quickly remembered what the chief had said to them about staying quiet as possible when they were in. Ken was just surprised that Davis had listened.

They past on the corner Ken thought he heard they sound, but he stopped. Davis hadn't noticed and Cody was poking him to get him to move. Ken didn't pay any attention to it and he kept staring down. Davis looked around at five feet ahead and scooted back to see what was up. Ken didn't wait for him, he moved on down the passage.

Everyone followed; Davis had pocketed the map since they weren't following the blue highlight marker anymore.

`I know this has to be it. I don't care if the others think I'm crazy right now, but I have to follow what my heart says and it says to go this way. Do I really TK that much, even after all that stuff I convinced myself of for the last two months, to be able to track him with my heart and sense his nearness? It is a warm feeling like when TK hugs or kisses me or anything like that. I guess my brain had shut down for TK, but not my feelings; they must've been getting stronger.'

Ken froze a few feet away from the AC slits to the next room. A sound was echoing from it and down the halls of the duff, making it seem someone was screaming in his ear. He looked back at the others behind him and saw them covering their ears too.

`That sound? It was someone…screaming? TK? Could it be?! Wait a second, that one sounded deeper. It couldn't be TK.' Ken thought for a minute. `It sounded like a word, but it was too loud to be made out. Huh? Someone's…talking. Someone's talking in the room! What's he saying though?' Ken thought a minute longer and then saw a flash. `What the heck was that?!' Ken panicked.

He went the remaining distance and froze at the few sightings he saw. It was the usual mattresses around the room with a bed on the far wall from the door. It was what was on the bed that scared him to hell and back.

`TK!' Ken felt the tears coming and they dropped onto his shirt. `That…that' Ken started and than said the rest in a whisper. "Bastard! He'll pay for this!" He whispered it as soft as he could, but couldn't believe what happened next. The guy looked at the AC. He couldn't see someone, but knew someone was there.

The guy smiled and looked back at the ruined figure on the bed. "My precious, it seems that someone has finally found you. It seemed our fun is over now. Pity. Hehe. Well than," He raised his voice to make sure Ken could hear, "I bid you adjure (sp?), my pet. It's been fun, but I must say," he pulled out a gun. Ken froze and he saw red. Anyone could see the flames blazing uncontrollably in his eyes. "Goodbye."

The AC gave way under Ken's wait and he fell just as the gunshot was heard. He felt a sharp pain in his left arm and it felt like knives digging into him. He yelled out in pain as he landed on the floor, clutching his bleeding arm. He looked up with watery eyes to see the man was gone.

"He fled! That…That COWARD! I'LL GET YOU IF IT'S THE LAST THING I EVER DO YOU PIECE OF SHIT YOU!" Ken gasped and clasped his good arm's hand over his mouth, ignoring the blood that was smeared there. `I've never said anything like that before in my entire life…TK!'

He looked over at the boy. The entrance to his abused whole was leaking with blood and semen. Ken couldn't believe it; he was crying uncontrollably at TK's limp figure, his eyes both closed scared Ken even more. He saw red again and cried at the same time for his love.

"As much as I don't want to think about how gross this all is." Ken heard Davis say from behind him, not knowing when he jumped down from the duff. "At least we know what that yell was now."

Ken nodded and unfastened the roped tying TK to the bed.

"The gunshot missed TK though. He got you in the arm instead. Here, I'll carry him back for you." Davis offered.

"Shove it, Davis. I'm sorry if I sound mean or something, but please shove off. I don't care about my arm, I care about TK. At least he got me instead of him, so I could care less about me right now." Ken growled as he removed the jeans jacket and wrapped it around TK's body.

He picked up his love in his arms, letting the tears fall, and ignoring his arm's refusal of extra pressure. The others had followed him quickly running out the door. Ken walked as fast as he could as he kept thinking of TK's well being, hoping he was safe.

"It's going to be ok, my love. We'll get you to a hospital and get you checked out. Hey, Davis, run ahead and call an ambulance. Matt has his cell on him if you need it."

Davis nodded and ran ahead and out of sight. Cody, Kari, and Yolei stayed with Ken in case he needed help with TK.

They made it outside with a few minutes to spare before the ambulance came. A blanket was wrapped around TK from the cold air of the night that was outside. Someone had wrapped a towel around Ken's arm, he didn't pay much attention as to whom, and was putting pressure to stop the bleeding. Davis was out of breath and was drinking some water the chief offered him. Yolei was scared out of her wits and Kari was comforting her, Cody was left with the explaining.

The ambulance arrived and took both TK and Ken in the back and rushed away. Davis, Yolei, Kari, and Cody were being driven by the chief and the rest of the D-D was riding with the other officers.

Ken's arm was looked over during the ride and TK was being looked over completely.

`TK, please be ok. I'm here now and I won't leave you if that's what you want. I promise.' Ken thought as he watched TK helplessly.

When they arrived at the hospital Ken was very reluctant on being from TK once more.

"Please, we promise nothing bad is going to happen to him. We're just going to care of him." One of the nurses said, making sure Ken didn't get too latched onto TK too much.

"Ken!" Someone familiar had called Ken's name and he looked around and saw Tai coming at a fast walk towards him.

Tai walked up to Ken and saw Ken's shaky hands on TK's bed rail, hot tears streaming down his face. He looked terrible. Tai was 100% certain that Ken's arm felt like it was on fire too since the bullet hadn't been removed yet.

He carefully removed Ken's hands from the rail and set his cold ones into his own warm ones, never breaking the eye contact with the helpless feeling youth. "Ken, everything's going to be fine. You need to be taken care of right now though and they can't take care of you and TK in the same room. I'll come with you and Matt will find out where TK is going to be staying so you can visit you. We really need to make sure nothing else bad happens to your arm. OK?"

Ken looked back into Tai's chocolate eyes and very slowly and hesitantly nodded silently. Tai nodded back and embraced his friend for a minute before looked back at the nurse and nodded for her to lead on.

The nurse wasn't too happy about bringing someone extra along, but if it would get Ken to come and behave, she was willing to do it.

They sat in the cold room waiting for one of the doctors to come in. Ken was sitting in the high stool the nurse gave him and Tai stood next to him holding him close for comfort. The door opened and a man with black hair and greenish blue eyes walked in.

"Ok, Ken, is it?" He asked in a gruff, but gentle voice. His eyes were soft too.

Ken nodded, clutching to Tai's shirt. Tai soothed him and petted his hair.

"There's nothing to be scared of, Ken." The doctor assured him. "I'm Dr. Mazurka. I'm going to fix up your arm and it'll be as good as new in no time at all. Is that what you want? Or would you rather we chop it off and let you get on with your life?" He joked on the last sentence.

Ken's eyes went wide and he moved even closer, if possible, to Tai's chest and held him close. Tai looked at him and than back at the doctor. "Please, Dr. Mazurka, Ken's had bit of a scare. You see, TK is a very close friend of his. They were practically inseparable. He's been out of his mind crying ever since he found out he went missing. It's been close to three months before we found him. The bullet was meant to kill TK, but instead Ken was shot."

The man nodded. "Of course. I'm sorry, Ken. I didn't mean for it to worry you or anything like that." He looked back at Tai. "We can move him into another room now and get the bullet removed now. I'm sorry but you'll have to wait here. There isn't enough room for you to be in there."

Ken choked on his breath. "Sir, is it possible if he could just wait outside than?"

"It'll be a while. An hour at most if Tai doesn't mind."

Tai looked at Ken and kneeled down so his face with parallel with the other boy's. "Ken, I'll be waiting right here for you. I promise I won't leave this room for anything. Is that all right with you?"

Ken nodded and made a fake smile. "Ok."

Dr. Mazurka led Ken out the room. Tai sat on the stool and waited for his friend to return, thankful that Ken was being as cooperative as he is.

`I thought he'd have been much more work to get him away from TK for a while. I know everything's going to turn out in the end. It has to. At least for Ken's sake…If anybody's listening right now, please, make sure Ken and TK'll be ok and watch over them for me and everyone else who loves them.'

About fifteen minutes later the door handle was turned and opened. Tai looked up; he had expected it to be longer than that. Instead of the two people that walked out before, a blonde with blue eyes and loads of hair gel in his hair walked in.

"Matt, what're you doing in here? I didn't think they'd let anyone else in." Tai asked jumping up and into his love's arms.

Matt let him and hugged him tightly and led him back to the stool to sit down. "Well, since Ken isn't in here right now so I'm not really an interference to anyone…" Matt started.

"'Cept me maybe, but continue." Tai smiled slightly.

"That and the doc came to me and told me which room I can find you in so I could tell you. I know some of it might be obvious, but he wanted me to tell you anyone and Ken too when he comes back."

"Ok, so what's up?" Tai asked, not wanting to really know.

Tears came to the blonde's eyes and he struggled to say what he needed to say. Tai comforted him and waited patiently with the blonde sitting in his lap until he calmed down a little.

"Tai…TK's been…raped. And really badly too. That guy…he didn't…didn't give him a rest. That's what Dr. Kisamiku said. TK's lost, Tai, he's lost. He's being fed through tubes and needles and stuff like that and the docs say he's going to need a lot of time to recover. Mentally and physically, Tai. They say he needs our help. The others and I agreed and were sure you would too when I told you, but we agreed that Ken is going to have to be around TK a lot more than the rest of us. Especially if some of his memories been messed up. We're going to need to help Ken, Tai. It's going to be way hard on him and he's going to worry himself sick trying to get his TK that he remembers him to be back." Matt burst into more tears just as the door opened again. Tai gasped and pushed Matt over to the table behind him where of box of tissues were so Ken wouldn't see him.

Ken walked in with the doctor, his arm bandaged up with a white wrap-on tie. He looked up and saw Matt and went to his side as fast as he could.

"Hey, how was is?" Tai asked to no one in particular

"It went relatively well. A few tears but he's going to be fine now. He just needs to make sure he doesn't do any sports for a while that would make him use his arm and he'll be good as new in no time."

"That's great. See, Ken, I was here and there's even one more in here to see how you were." Tai said with a smile.

"Yeah, we were worried about you. How you feeling?" Matt asked, returning Ken's hug

"I've been better." Ken grumbled not looking up.

"Yeah, good news though." The blonde announced with a slight smile.

Ken and Tai looked at him with a confused look plastered on both of their faces.

"I decided to hold this part in until Ken came in." Matt explained to Tai. "For personal reasons, you know. Anyway, the docs said only one person could see TK today and maybe, if they're good enough, can spend the night here with him."

Ken's eyes lit up for a second, but went into those of sad pools of violet. "Only one person?"

"Yeah, everyone voted and it came out a dead-even that you can go."

"Are you sure, Matt? He's your brother. Don't you want to?" Ken said taking a step back.

"Yeah. Everyone can come back tomorrow and see him if that's what you're worried about."

Silence.

Ken smiled and his eyes lit up, not as much as the last, but a little bit. "Thanks, Matt."

"Excuse me, but I need to go pick something up from my office real fast and I'll be back to take you to him if you'd like, Ken." Dr. Mazurka offered.

"Thanks, sir, but no thanks. I would like it if Matt could take me instead. If you don't mind." Ken apologized.

"That's all right. You take care of yourself then. Come back, let's say, in one week and we'll see what's up with your arm."

Ken nodded and waited until the door closed with a click. He turned back to his two friends and smiled a small smile. He stepped up to Tai and gave him a peck on the cheek and then turned to Matt and did the same.

"Thanks, you guys. For everything. I would've given up hope a long time ago if it weren't for you helping me."

"That's ok, Ken. Let's get going." Matt said opening the door.

About five minutes later, after walking in silence the whole way, Matt stopped in front of Room 405B.

"Here we are." Matt knocked softly on the door, but loud enough for someone to hear.

A nurse opened the door a second later and smiled at Matt. She had brown hair tied back into a tight bun and gray eyes.

"Hello, Matt." She eyed Ken and Tai. "Are one of the boys the person you've agreed to have come in for today?"

"Yes ma'am. This is Ken. He wanted to know if he could stay the night too like you offered. He's very quiet and he'll behave with no problems."

"Just the way we like him here. Hello, Ken. Come on in." Turning back to the other two waving him goodbye. "See you tomorrow."

They nodded and shut the door. She than led Ken over to a chair seated next to TK's right side of the bed and asked if he needed anything.

Ken shook his head and took TK's hand in his and rubbed it gently with his thumb.

Before the nurse left she turned back to Ken. "If you need anything just come up to the front desk and tell them this room number so they won't ask you about anything, that goes for questions too. Oh, and remember to watch out for the wires. Me or one of the other nurses or doctors will be coming in periodically to check up on TK and yourself to see how everything's going, so you needn't worry about that. I guess that's all, see you." She walked out after getting a nod from Ken.

Ken turned back to TK's unconscious form and frowned. "Don't worry, TK. Everything's going to be fine. I'll stay here all night just for you, I promise." Ken whispered.

There was a knock on the door and Tai's head popped through.

"Hey, buddy, can Matt and me talk to you for a minute?"

Ken nodded and walked out the door after giving a quick kiss on TK's cold cheek.

"Hey, sorry to do this, Ken." Matt said with a half smile.

"`S ok. What's up?"

Matt and Tai explained what Matt had said earlier to Tai. Ken's tears were brimming around his eyes as they spoke to him. He let them fall and Mat hugged hi, trying to comfort him. Tai joined his boyfriend in his actions.

"You can do it, Ken. We've got faith in you and you have to too. Please, Ken, just believe in yourself. My brother needs you." Matt encouraged.

Ken lifted away from the musician and looked back at the door. "I know TK needs me, Matt. I'll do my best. I'll never leave him again. I almost left him for good before, but I won't now."

Tai and Matt patted the dark-haired boy on the back as he turned the knob on the door and disappeared behind it as it closed.

Ken sat back down in his seat and took TK's hand once more, rubbing it softly with his thumb.

`They're right. This is getting dead serious and I'm not playing any game of house anymore. I can't believe that this is happening sometimes. From what I thought before. I truly thought of it as a game, making up for all my mistakes and wrong turns as a child, but not anymore. Now I'm going to be there for TK just like he was for me. No more am I going to be the one who gets the attention and that's what I want. I want TK back!' Ken made a pack with himself that no matter what he was going to get TK back to him and back to normal no matter how long it took.

Good? Bad? I know a little longer than usual, but only a little. I figured you guys deserved it since you're reviewing to me. Well, I've found this notebook lying around in my room so I've been taking it to school with me and every chance I get I pick up where I left off on my fic so I can enter it in my computer when I get home and all my homework done. I hoped you enjoyed it and hopefully I don't need to remind you of this (but I will for the heck of it) but please pleeeeeze PLEEEEEEEEEEZE review. Or at least email me and tell me what you thought. And also feel free to give me any ideas, you will be given credit it for it in the next chapeter.
