~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* ~*~*~
It's been a week since TK had woken up in the hospital. His mother was allowing Ken to stay over for as long as he needed to help TK since everyone had explained everything to her about his healing process.
TK's been stingy around people the whole time, especially if it's in a big crowd so the D-D's decided not to come visit TK as one big group. The only person he'll really let be near him was Ken and it took him the entire week to get used to him being around. Ken was thankful for that. His eyes were still dull and empty like when the raven-haired boy had first seen in the hospital. No color has returned to them either. They weren't the shiny full of life blue that Ken loved getting lost in when he looked into them.
Not much had been going on other than TK only letting Ken near him after the week other than TK refused to leave the house. Ken sometimes got him to just stand outside the building for fresh air rather than him just sitting next to his window having it open, but that was as far as Ken would go. He also wouldn't say much of anything. He would only nod or shake his head and that was it.
TK was sitting on his bed reading `The Pit Dragon Trilogy', a book that Matt had brought over for him since he was into those kinds of things. Ken walked in and watched him for a while before clearing his throat. TK looked up from his book and waited for him to speak.
"Hey, TK. Do you want to go somewhere today?" Ken asked this question everyday in hopes that TK would sooner or later just give in. "We could go to the park and you can bring your book. And since it's a school day we'll have it all to ourselves until three. That gives you a little over five hours. Would you like that?"
TK thought for a moment. He was hesitating and Ken was getting higher hopes each second since he was. He knew TK liked to be alone with nobody around him and five hours is more than enough time. Even if he did only read it was an accomplishment to get him out of the apartment with him agreeing to do it. Slowly, but surely, the blonde nodded and scooted of his bed. Ken sighed happily. He walked next to TK and put his shoes on. He knew TK didn't like anybody walking behind him or in front of him, but next to him so they couldn't pull too many surprises. Since he woke up he's always been on the careful side and being cautious so he would just refuse to do anything unless the person walked next to him or was standing where both eyes could see the person if they weren't walking. Ken pulled the jeans jacket of the coat rack and helped TK put it on. They were off after Ken left a note for TK's mother saying they were at the park.
Ken wouldn't keep him out too long though in case crowds might begin to show. Being around or in a crowd is the worst thing to do when TK was there since he got so scared to being around.
They arrived at the park and were finding a bench next to a lake to sit on. When they found one that were away from the other older couples that came to the park Ken handed TK his book and TK happily got into it again.
Ken made it a mental note to read the book too so he could relate it with TK in more hopes of getting him to say something. `At least he's out of that stuffy apartment. I wouldn't leave him there alone because he'd get scared, but I'd go crazy if I had to be in there for one more minute. And than I'd…' Ken was pulled from his thought by a soft poking on his shoulder. He looked over and saw TK was the one poking him. His book was resting on the armrest, closed with the paper bookmark sticking slightly out. Ken only looked at TK to see what would happen. TK got closer and closer until his face was to Ken's side. And to Ken's astonishment, he spoke.
"Ken, will you read it to me?" It was a little quieter than a whisper, but he understood what his lover was saying since there weren't anybody around. Ken guessed he was so quiet because he hadn't spoken for a while.
Ken nodded and TK leaned against his shoulder, but was being hesitant about putting hardly any weight to it and was a little tense. Ken guessed that TK didn't want him to get mad, but he wrapped his arm around TK gently and was glad that his message got through that it was ok because TK rested comfortably now with his weight not lifted a bit. TK handed him the book and Ken started to read, his arm still wrapped half way around the young blonde.
Ken didn't know how long he'd been reading for until he felt another tap on his shoulder. He bent his head up and saw Matt and Tai looking down at him smiling.
"Hey, Ken. Whatcha up to?" Tai whispered.
Ken glanced at his watch and noted it was a little part twelve. "You guys are out early. How come?" He whispered back.
"Some dude pulled the fire alarm and was caught red-handed by the principal. All chaos broke out though when he ran for it. The principal announced a half day so the teachers could all help look for him." Matt explained. He watched his brother with slight amusement knowing that Ken wouldn't make his brother come out with pressure so TK came out of his own free will. He backed up though knowing he was crowding his brother's space with him shaking a bit and holding on to Ken's arm that was still wrapped loosely around him. Tai did the same and when TK stopped shaking and lightened his grip a bit on Ken's arm they stopped.
Ken closed the book and stretched, but not so much to disturb TK so he'd move away. He yawned slightly as well as sat up on the bench. TK leaned against him when he stopped moving around. He smiled and wrote something down on a little post it note he found in one of his pockets and than whispered to his blonde, "We should get moving if you don't want to be caught in a crowd." The blonde's eyes flashed open a bit more and he nodded as soon as he heard the word crowd.
They stood up and Ken handed him the small paper and then walked on, his arm wrapped around TK slightly like when they were laying on the bench.
Matt opened the folded paper and Tai read over his shoulder. Two words were written there, but it couldn't have made them happier to know it was the truth. `He spoke' was written on that small paper and made tears appear in both the boy's eyes.
~*~*~*~
Ken and TK arrived back the apartment in about ten minutes and Ken was feeling a bit depressed.
Ken looked at TK who had settled himself back on the couch and was hugging his knees. Ken, even though he hated looking into his eyes, had been spending enough time with TK to tell what he was feeling by watching him. Sometimes you just had to watch more closely. Ken walked over and handed TK his book.
"Sorry about that, TK. I felt like I let you down. You didn't really get the five hours like I said."
TK took his book and looked at Ken. Before Ken could walk away TK took his hand. Ken looked at him curiously. TK was handing him the book and nodded. To some people they would be too confused to know what to do and would ask about it, but Ken knew. He knew that TK wanted him to read to him so more. Ken smiled and could feel the tears coming, but he held them back. It was just last week that TK wouldn't let him come near him and he would hide himself in his room when he was released from the hospital three days after he woke up.
Ken took the book gently and looked back at TK. `Oh, TK, I love you so much.' "So you want me to read more to you, huh?" TK scooted over to the corner so Ken could sit down. Ken did so and was even more surprised with TK again that day when TK cuddled up next to him and rested his head on his lap. Ken smiled again and started to read where he left off.
Ken stopped after about hour and noticed that TK had fallen asleep. Ken took the risk and leaned down slowly and placed a small kiss on his love's cheek. He moved his lips up to the blonde's ear and whispered three words that he'd wanted to say to TK out loud for a while now. "I love you." TK didn't move or even acknowledge anything of hearing anything in his peaceful sleep.
~*~*~*~
It was about two weeks later when Ken had finally achieved his miracle since this whole ordeal happened. TK had finally started talking more and it wasn't just small requests. He would also come out of the apartment without being asked to go somewhere and sometimes he would even ask to be taken out. He was still a bit scared about being around big groups of people, but didn't really show it as much as he did before.
That's when Ken made a slip when he was brushing his teeth one night after getting out of the shower.
TK was looking for him so he could read the last chapter to him. TK had recently learned that Ken had wanted to read the book too so every time he wanted to read he would ask Ken so he could read it too. TK saw the bathroom door was cracked open and the glow from the lights coming through. He opened the door and saw Ken washing his hands off from the excess toothpaste that got on him. And to TK's surprise, there on Ken's left wrist were red lines that looked like they'd been only cut by a sharp knife. Ken saw him in the mirror and looked down at his wrist with mock horror.
`Shit' "TK, I can explain." Ken started as he turned to face TK, who was leaving. TK might've acted like an innocent child and he was completely vulnerable like he'd always been for the past few weeks, but even he knew very well what those marks were from.
Ken followed TK to his room and shut the door, leaving the lights off. He sat on the edge of the bed where TK was laying curled up into a ball.
"TK, I can explain why I did it."
TK looked up and Ken could tell that he was a bit curious as to why he did it, but was also a bit angry now that his answer he'd been asking since he started talking more had just been answered. He found out the real reason as to why Ken was always either wearing a jacket or a long sleeved shirt. Ken had been saying he was feeling a bit cold even when the heater was up to 85. Now TK knew the truth. Ken was hiding the forever marks of his onslaught of himself. "Why?" It was a simple question, but it didn't mean the answer was going to be just as easy to answer.
"It was while you were gone. Actually it was because of you that I did this." TK was taken aback at this remark. Ken hadn't said or done anything while TK was awake that would have TK remember he had a love-filled relationship with the boy and that was the way he wanted it until TK got further along and more healed, but he wouldn't lie to TK about it now. "TK before you disappeared we were together. You and I were in love with each other and were practically inseparable. The day you were kidnapped was the same day I had to go home from spending a week here with you while my parents were out of town. I was so upset when I found out that same day when your mother called asking why you weren't home yet and that had been three hours after you left. You told me you were going to go straight home you could only imagine how I felt."
TK uncurled himself from his ball and sat with one leg swinging carelessly over the edge, but he hugged his other leg close. He was sitting next to Ken now, but to the raven-haired boy's unnoticed attention the blonde was healing more than ever as he spoke. Since Ken was staring down at his feet he hadn't even noticed that TK had moved.
Ken continued his story after catching his breath. He lifted his wrist and looked at it with disgust. "That's when I decided to end my life. It was a month after you were gone that I did this to myself. I made myself believe that you used me for a good fuck and than got tired of me so you left. Deep down though I knew it wasn't true, but I refused to believe those feelings. Matt and Tai were on their way over to speak with me and since the door was unlocked since I didn't lock it after my parents left to go to the store they came in and found me on the kitchen floor. I woke up in the hospital and was put under suicide watch for a week. During that week I withdrew myself from the others. I wouldn't speak to them and leave the house for anything. They weren't talking about what I did though so I guessed they had agreed not to say anything about it; that I was grateful for. About a month later Tai and Matt came to my apartment and dragged me out. That was the day we found you."
Ken was still looking down at his feet and hadn't noticed something about TK he really needed to see. He didn't notice at all what had happened to TK. Didn't notice until he felt something wet splash on his hand that was placed closest to the blonde.
He looked at his lover and got the biggest shock anybody could have ever wanted and it made it all the more special because he got to see it first. TK's eyes had watered up with tears and he was actually crying over Ken and what he had said. The even bigger shock that Ken was lost in the eyes when he looked into them, but in the best way he could've ever wanted. TK's eyes had clouded over with emotion and were no longer the empty ones that were shallow. No, now they were sorrow filled and the other emotion couldn't be mistaken. It took over the whole of TK's eyes. Love was clearly written over his features.
"Ken, I'm so sorry. I didn't want to leave. I don't know what came over me. I started to believe you'd never come to find me. I locked myself away in my own world and completely forgot about our times together. Ken, I love you so much. Won't you please forgive me?"
Ken was in a cross between La La Land Shock Shore. "TK, I don't know what to say. But I defiantly know what I feel. TK, I could never be mad at you and I don't know what I should forgive you for, but if you ask for it than of course I forgive you. TK, I missed you so much. I love you too, TK."
Before either boy knew it they were kissing more passionately than ever before. When they drew apart TK asked something he had really meant to ask before this whole thing started. "Ken, will you read the last chapter to me?"
It was an innocent question and Ken wouldn't have anything else. "Of course, TK. I'd love nothing more except to be with you."
"You have no idea how much I missed hearing that from you. Oh, Ken, before you do say it, there is one thing I never want you to call me."
"What's that, sweetie?"
"Never call me precious."
"That I can do without the slightest hesitation, my love."
"He sent a message to Akki full of wonder and light. `This…this is true dragon sight, Akki. We're like dragons in flight above our world.'" Ken closed the book as he finished reading the final sentence of the last chapter.
"I like that book." TK smiled as he looked up from the closed cover.
"Me too." Ken agreed wholeheartedly. He knew that TK wasn't completely healed, but now that the old TK he'd fallen in love with his back and their relationship is back to the way it should be, it would be a little easier to help TK along his way to help him heal.
"Ken?"
"Hmm?"
"I'm a bit tensed up from staying in that same position the whole time."
"You think having you sit like that on my lap was another playground for me? I am too."
"What should we do about it?" TK asked. He knew well enough what Ken was going to suggest and he already agreed with it.
Ken smiled. `You just want me to say it, but I know what's going on in that pretty head of yours. Well, I'm not going to pass up an opportunity to make you happy. Not in the least bit.' "We could go take a hot bath together."
"I wouldn't have thought it better myself."
"Sure." Ken scooped TK up in his arms as he flopped the book to the other side of the couch. He carried him to the bathroom and locked the door after he set him down.
Ken placed the plug down and turned the water on. He turned back around and saw TK standing right where he left him.
"Ken, I'm feeling a bit helpless at the moment. Could you help me undress?" TK asked with a glint in his eyes.
"Oh, I don't know." Ken joked. "I'm a bit helpless too. Maybe we could make a deal. I'll undress you, but you have to undress me too."
"Deal!" TK jumped at Ken and wasted no time in unbuttoning the jacket.
Ken couldn't help but giggle at his boyfriend's antics and he too `attacked' the buttons.
After a few minutes they were both lying in the tub not caring about anything but each other as they held each other close.
"You know," Ken started, breaking the comfortable silence that fell between them, "I completely forgot how beautiful you are. It's been such a long time."
"I know, love. The feelings mutual." TK was silent, but spoke again. "It's weird though." Ken looked at curiously, but didn't say anything. "One minute I can't feel anything but sorrow for myself and the next I realize I have more than feelings for you. I could just tell there was more you weren't willing to tell me and when you did tell me I could feel all emotion coming back to me."
"I had my reasons for not reminding you about our relationship."
"Oh really." And with that TK squeezed Ken's manhood tightly, but gently all the same.
Ken gasped at the touch and tensed for a second before relaxing down again. "Oh, TK."
"Shhh, I'll remind you about our relationship. I have this feeling that you're more than ready to know." TK spoke in a sexy, seductive tone. Ken could feel his erection forming as his love caressed, squeezed, and teased his manhood.
TK pulled his lover from his sitting position and sat on top of his now laying form. Pleasure written clearly across his face as he continued his actions. He flicked the tip and Ken bucked his hips. TK smiled and held his hips down, releasing the aching shaft.
Ken moaned in disappointment, but was easily replaced when he felt something warm cover him back up.
He groaned and tried bucking his hips, but it was no use. TK was making sure this was perfect he was. He licked and sucked and sometimes pulled back just enough to flick the tip once or twice with his tongue. Ken couldn't relax any further as he felt his orgasm approaching fast. TK knew exactly what to do to Ken to make him have the biggest pleasure of his life. When he did cum, TK drank hungrily at his liquids and didn't miss a single drop.
"That…was amazing."
"I thought you might like it."
"We should get out before we turn into a couple of wrinkly prunes."
"Good idea."
They dried off and were sitting on the couch when the doorbell rang.
Ken answered it and was nearly trampled by the Digidestined all who were all talking at once.
TK got annoyed by the group. He'd gotten used to having them around and didn't mind too much that it was a big group. Especially since Ken was there and he knew Ken wouldn't let anything happen. He was getting a headache though from their loud talking.
"QUIET!"
Everyone shut up immediately at the usually silent blonde's shout.
"Thanks, you were giving me a headache."
"Good news, guys. We have the old TK back."
"That's great, Ken. Congratulations, TK. " Yolei squealed.
They spoke a while longer before about that before Matt and Tai spoke over the group.
"We came here for a reason you know."
Everyone silent and was looking very annoyed about something.
"What is it, Matt?" TK asked.
"TK, Ken, we found out who the bastard was that kidnapped you and raped you."
TK shuddered and Ken held him close, evil hatred clearly written across his face."
"He was an ex-police officer. He was fired for causing havoc nearly everything single day in the station and for and for going after some of the male prisoners." Tai explained.
"Now that's just disgusting." Ken voiced his thoughts as well as TK's.
"Yeah, anyways, he was arrested this afternoon. He's being kept on close watch and isn't allowed any cellmates."
"That's good." TK breathed.
"Yeah, we just wanted to come and let you guys know."
