A/N: I apologize to anyone irritated by the fate of Yagami Taichi (Tai Kamiya) in the last chapter. It was, however, necessary to show exactly what TK had become. Don't worry, because plat twists can cause some pretty strange things to happen. You may eventually see Tai again, just not as you remember him. I'm also sorry this took so long. I figure it's better than cranking them out as quickly as possible and submitting the half thought-out, poorly written, plot-hole ridden crap. But I promise the next chapter will be up much sooner than this one was. Also, all previous chapters will shortly be updated with Japanese titles below the English ones. Also, Saturday, Tuesday, what's the difference?

Chapter 6. Kari's Dark Destiny
(Dark Tailmon, Hikari's second partner)
Kari (VO): We went to the digiworld after hearing that there was trouble. When we arrived, however, we discovered that Matt and Jun had been separated from us. It turns out they were on File Island, where Jun discovered the Crest of Persistence. They came to us in Whamon, but they weren't alone. They had been followed by the Dark Masters. Just as it seemed things couldn't get any worse the Dark Masters DNA Digivolved into Darkmon and Doomon. We needed all the power we could get, so we were glad when Etemon and Aquilamon digivolved to their ultimate stages, and overjoyed when Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon DNA digivolved to Omnimon. A combination of all our Digimon's attacks took care of those two creeps, but not in time to save Tai, who was hit by both of their attacks! This time TK's gone too far!

(We see the digidestined gathered in the park)
Jun: So, basically Matt we all need to agree that TK can be dealt with in any way necessary. Since he's your brother we decided not to do anything without your permission.
Matt: He killed Tai. I don't care what it takes, just stop him.
Davis: Okay, now that we have Matt's permission, I say we go to the digiworld right now and take the fight straight to TG!
(Izzy pulls out his laptop)
Kari: Digiport, open!
(transportation sequence)
Kari: It seems pretty quiet here. Do you think he's given up?
Matt: No. My brother would never give up on anything. He may be hiding so that we don't find him, but TK has not given up. The second we leave, there's going to be trouble. At least one of us has to stay here at all times.
(a strange Digimon appears out of the bushes, then vanishes)
Davis: That's weird. I could have sworn I just saw something.
Cody: I saw it too. There's something here.
(the digimon appears behind Kari)
Yolei: Kari, turn around.
(the digimon disappears)
Kari: What?
(by now everyone except Kari has seen the Digimon)
Veemon: (seeing the digimon hiding in a tree) Kari, look up.
(Kari looks up and finally sees the digimon)
Kari: Creepy. What was that?
Etemon: I don't know. I doubt anyone here does.
Gatomon: She's here.
Etemon: Of course, I could be wrong.
Kari: Who is she?
Gatomon: My fallen sister. Not at the stage any of you have seen her at, but at her Champion stage.
Kari: Fallen sister? Do you mean Ladydevimon?
Gatomon: Yes. In her current stage, however, she is known as Black Gatomon. She is the very meaning of bad luck. If she crosses your path, I recommend you run. Her Black Claw attack is incredibly powerful...
Gomamon: Okay, we get the idea, she's a black cat and she's bad luck. Is there anything else we should know about her?
Gatomon: We're involved in an eternal battle. She has just enough good in her to be accepted in the Primary Village, but not enough to help us. As a direct result of this, I have to destroy her time and time again.
Patamon: so this time we were lucky to run into her in her Champion stage, where she's easier to defeat?
Gatomon: more or less. I have the strangest feeling that she's allied herself with TK.
(Black Gatomon appears in front of the group)
Black Gatomon: So, I see you've finally arrived. I've been waiting to do this for a long, long time.
Gatomon: It's only been four years since your last defeat.
Black Gatomon: No surprise that you're running on Human time. I can honestly say that I expected you to.
(Gatomon remembers Izzy saying that a minute in the Real World was equal to a day in the Digiworld)
BLACK GATOMON: I've been waiting 5760 years for this. That's 40320 years in Cat years.
(A/N: I did the calculations. Sad, right?)
Gatomon: Too bad it has to end so soon. Lightning Paw!
(Black Gatomon dodges easily)
Black Gatomon: That was almost too easy. Dark Hypnosis!
(Gatomon falls asleep)
Black Gatomon: Now to put the sleeping cat to sleep. Black Cla...
????: Death Grip!
(A large clawed black hand appears seemingly out of nowhere and grabs for Black Gatomon. Black Gatomon barely dodges the attack)
Black Gatomon: What was that?
????: Allow me to introduce myself. (Digimon Analyzer screen appears) I am Demon. My Death Grip attack will stop my opponents in their tracks.
Agumon (yes, he's still around): I've heard of Demon. He's not only rude, but dangerous. I'd try to stay as far away from him as possible.
(Gatomon wakes up)
Black Gatomon: We'll continue this later.
Gatomon: Fine with me. I can wait a few more minutes to kick your sorry ass.
Gabumon: I'd wait until he's defeated before making any plans. He's a threat to everything. If he's allied himself with TK...
Gatomon: Then why did he attack Black Gatomon?
Black Gatomon: Because I haven't allied myself with that... that...
Tentomon: Just say it. All the rest of us have.
Black Gatomon: That complete and utter asshole!
Gomamon: feels good to get that out of your system, huh?
Black Gatomon: Anyone who allied herself with him voluntarily would be removed from the Primary Village reincarnation list. And then I wouldn't be able to fight my sister.
Matt: That hasn't stopped Myotismon at all. He's been reincarnated by his own will twice already.
Izzy: Myotismon, being the dangerous, powerful, evil Digimon that he is, has his own set of rules. He is the scourge of the Digiworld and everything in it. He breaks every rule in the digiworld. He was the first digimon to come through to our world.
Kari: Actually, that was Botamon. I know that because he came in through our home computer. He digivolved into the giant Agumon that the original eight of us saw twelve years ago when we first became Digidestined.
Mimi: And then he digivolved into that Red Greymon and fought Parrotmon.
Joe: and then...
Izzy: Let's not get off track here. The point is that Myotismon doesn't follow any rules, so we shouldn't kid ourselves into thinking that anything he can do another digimon can do.
Yolei: Right. Let's just run.
(The DigiDestined run away, followed closely by Demon)
Ken: We're not putting any distance between him and us. He even seems to be gaining on us. I say we stand and fight. Enough is enough!
Black Gatomon: He's here for me. He knows that TK has no control over me, and I have the choice of dying or joining him. I think you know which one I'm taking.
Gatomon: I'd make the same choice. I'm sure anyone here would.
(All nod)
Agumon: I'll see if there's anything I can do. After all, I'm alone.
Davis: I've told you, we're going to find you a new partner as soon as possible.
(Demon attacks again)
Veemon: That's really getting annoying! Why don't you try the Golden Digiegg?
Davis: That might have enough power and no one seems to have the Crest of Miracles. Good thinking. Golden Armour Energize!
(Veemon is swept up in a golden hurricane)
Veemon: Veemon, golden armour digivolve to...
(The golden hurricane stops and reveals a golden suited warrior)
Magnamon: ...Magnamon, the Warrior of Miracles!
Magnamon: Magna Blasters!
(fires energy at Demon)
Demon: It's going to take more than that to stop me!
Agumon: Someone please tell me there's at least a scratch on him!
Izzy: Not even one. If anything it made him more powerful!
Magnamon: I'm going to need some help here. I need someone to send a message to Willis that we need him and Rapidmon.
Mimi: Do we also need Michael?
Magnamon: Send a message to all the digidestined around the world. We need all the help we can get! This guy's tough!
(Izzy writes a message explaining the recent events and the power of Demon then sends it to all the Digidestined around the world. Shortly after digiports start to open up).
Izzy: We're glad you could make it we really need the help! This guy is way too strong for us to even attempt to take on our own!
Catherine (French girl from "Digimon World Tour Part 2") Where's Tai? And TK?
Davis: Tai's dead, TK's the reason we need you. (to Izzy) Izzy, I thought you had told them about the recent events.
Izzy: I did, but I guess they just saw the words "Incredibly powerful Digimon" and ignored everything beyond that.
Davis: Why didn't you put the recent events FIRST?
Izzy: Because if he had tracked us down, then by the time they reached the end so would we!
Davis: Speaking of which, where is he?
Demon: Right Here!
(AN: I'm not going to bother listing the digivolutions. All you need to know is all international except Terriermon digivolve to their champion stages and all Japanese except Agumon digivolve to their highest stages)
Davis: Hurry it up! Magnamon can't hold him off forever!
Willis: Golden Armour Energize!
(Terriermon Golden Armour digivolves to Rapidmon)
Magnamon: That's more like it! Magna Blasters!
Rapidmon: Rapid Fire!
(Demon seems to be damaged slightly but not nearly enough)
Magnamon: If I'm going down, I'm going all out! Magna Explosion!
Rapidmon: I'm with you pal! Miracle Missile!
(The energy from the attacks causes the digimon to revert to the In-Training stages. When the attacks hit Demon a cloud of smoke is formed)
Demiveemon: Please tell me that worked...
(The smoke clears to reveal Demon still standing there)
Davis: This isn't gonna work! We need Omnimon!
Matt: That's not possible without Tai! And he's...
Kari: Don't say it! Please don't say it.
Matt: Denying it won't bring him back. It's time to face the facts.
(Back in the battle)
Metalgarurumon: Ice Wolf Claw!
(The icy missile fires and freezes Demon)
Davis: All right. That did it!
(Demon shatters the ice surrounding him)
Ken: Or not...
(Demon turns towards Angewomon)
Demon: Ah, the angel of Light. You have been a thorn in the side of my master for far too long. It's time for me to remove this problem. Death Grip!
Kari: Angewomon!
(Kari starts glowing mysteriously. Energy flows into Agumon who Warp Digivolves and joins Metalgarurumon in the fight)
Davis: What just happened?
Izzy: Kari just channelled a powerful force like she did on our old adventures. I'm surprised you haven't seen it before.
Davis: Not unless "powerful force" translates as "Earth-shattering org..."
Izzy: You haven't seen it. Anyways, it seems to energize Digimon around her.
Davis: Will this be enough?
Izzy: I doubt it.
(Kari stops glowing and falls unconscious)
Wargreymon: Terra Force!
Metalgarurumon: Ice Wolf Claw!
(The attacks hit Demon)
Matt: That should do it!
Demon: Don't you ever get tired of being wrong? Death Grip!
Jun: Matt!
(Jun runs and pulls Matt out of the way of the attack)
Matt: Thanks Jun. You saved my life. Is there any way I can repay you?
Jun: Well...
Matt: Why did I even ask?
(Kari wakes up)
Davis: Kari! Are you all right?
Kari: Yes, but what's that behind you?
(Davis turns around)
Davis: I'd say it's some kind of crest.
Black Gatomon: You got that right. That's the Crest of Mystery!
Davis: Mystery?
(The crest flies towards Kari)
Black Gatomon: What am I feeling?
Davis: Like I would know.
Black Gatomon: No, it's like I'm filled with energy. Like I'm ready to digivolve!
Kari: Does this mean what I think it does?
(Digivolution sequence)
Black Gatomon: Black Gatomon, digivolve to...
Lady Devimon: Lady Devimon!
(End digivolution sequence)
Lady Devimon: It feels good to be back!
Davis: Don't just stand there, get into the battle!
Lady Devimon: No problem. Darkness Wave!
(The attack hits Demon)
Davis: Everyone at the same time!
(Rather than writing out the twenty some-odd attacks, I'll just say that everyone attacks Demon and the power is enough to defeat him)
Davis: All right! Great work everyone!
(All Digimon dedigivolve)
Black Gatomon: Well, now that that's over, I believe I still have a score to settle here.
Gatomon: Only if you're willing to do it at the cost of the entire Digital World! I'd say you're part of the team now. Welcome aboard, sis.
(Cut to TK's base)
TK: So, they managed to defeat Demon. Well, it's a good thing this is almost ready.
(We see a tank with what appears to be some kind of Digimon in it)
TK: Soon they will know my wrath. Very soon.
