Episode 11 - First Sign of True Anger (Part 2)

“Without Italics is Japanese.”
“With Italics is English.”
“With Italics and Boldis French.”

Daisuke's eyes darted to the doors as he walked with Kari to a place to talk alone. He actually had no intention of talking with Kari about his Job; he just wanted to get the note to Amy.

“So what did you really want to talk with me about?” Kari asked as she turned to look at him.

“Well, do you remember what happened?”

“Yeah, we just got really drunk and slept together.” Daisuke went pale.

“Wait, I mean literal slept, not…you know.”

“Okay, whew, you scared me for a second there.” Tai walked up behind Daisuke and spoke.

“So you decided to tell her too?” Daisuke slowly closed his eyes in frustration.

“No and I wasn't planning on it…”

“…Oops?”

“Yea oops is right.”

“What weren't you planning to tell me, Davis?”

“Look I don't have time to explain, just trust me.”

“You seem to say that a lot…”

Daisuke barely was able to react quickly enough when the windows in the rafters busted open. His gun was out in a heartbeat, he forgot all about saving face for his friends, no he was just worried about saving his friends, period. Girls scream, guys cover girls to protect them from the glass, all but Daisuke and Amy, he shot first. The bullet made contact, the person he hit lost grip and plummeted down to the floor, headfirst. Amy was next to fire, the one she hit was hooked to the rope, he just went limp and hung there in midair, Daisuke fired again, he missed. The intruders began to fire, thankfully only at Daisuke who made himself scarce from the others; he was now in open and in plain sight. The couple fired their Berettas at the intruders, Daisuke noticed first, on top of the three left from the rafters, two more entered from the doorway in front on him.

Daisuke pointed straight ahead before the two could fire and shot, the first connected to one of the two men's skulls and drilled through and didn't stop until it met the dirt outside. The next two shots missed the other man, he had ducked down and kept moving. He got a shot on the man and pulled the trigger, *-click-* “Fuck.” The man saw and stopped to fire at him, Daisuke, jumped and ducked behind a small wall.

Amy was still busy staying behind cover and taking the three in the rafters out, Daisuke reloaded and peeked out from his cover, quickly finding his target and eliminating it. Amy fired a last bullet, killing the last man in the rafters. Daisuke stood up and started to leave the building, but he stopped and yelled to Amy.

“Call Ryland, get the team out here.” Then it caught his eye, his friends were all staring at him, but one was missing.

“Tai, where's Ken?” Every one of them went pale as they started searching. They found him, in a puddle of blood, he was still alive, just barely.

“Amy get him to a hospital and give me your gun.” Pure anger was all that was in his eyes, she handed him the gun.

“Where are you going?” She asked.

“They didn't fucking walk here, there's a driver out there.” He turned and started to run to his car. He jumped in it and started it, he didn't see TK running behind him.

“What the hell do you think you're doing?” Daisuke asked as TK jumped in the car's passenger seat.

“You've been going at this alone for years, I'm not letting you anymore.”

“You've got a kid and my sister would kill me if you got hurt.” Tires squealed as an SUV parked on the street realized the people they were to give a ride to had been killed.

“Fuck it, you don't have a choice anymore, GO!” TK put on his seatbelt, as Daisuke, slammed it into gear and hit the gas.

They were now out on the expressway speeding past cars, people screamed from their cars, shocked when they saw the cars fly by. The SUV nearly lost it every time the driver jerked the wheel and Daisuke knew it was too dangerous to let him keep doing that.

“Hold on, if he keeps dicking around like that with that SUV he's going to cause some serious damage.” Daisuke yelled over the wind to TK as he shifted down and floored it.

“What are you going to do?” TK yelled back in question.

“I've got to get him to get off the expressway somehow.”

“How the hell are you going to do that, ask him? I don't think he'll be too happy to hear that.”

“I'll figure it out, now shut up; I can't drive and talk at the same time too well.” TK immediately shut up, they were doing a good 135 or more along with dodging cars left and right, he really didn't like the idea of Daisuke's attention being anywhere but the road ahead. Daisuke and TK alike had no idea how that SUV still hadn't flipped, a sports car can slide around and get sideways at high speeds, an SUV? No. Not only that, how can any SUV hit 140+ anyways? But those thoughts were quickly pushed aside as Daisuke reached the SUV. They were side-by-side for only a moment before the both had to split up because of the 2 cars in front of them. They glided back in their lanes after passing the two cars.

“Man, I hate to do it, but I got to!” Daisuke quickly jerked the wheel and the two vehicles collided. Crunching metal, parts flying and a very pissed/shocked TK was the result.

“WHAT THE FUCK, CAN YOU WARN ME NEXT TIME GODDAMNIT?” Daisuke laughed, even in this situation he had to laugh at something, otherwise his adrenaline would take him over.

“Here's your warning!” The cars collided again. The SUV looked like it still had no intention of stopping, Daisuke decided to get a little farther and hit him again. Daisuke slid into the next lane, it seemed clear for a little while, no traffic to stop them, at least not for a few miles. Daisuke jerked the wheel once more, then it hit him. Daisuke realized, by going so far outward he'd given the other driver time to react, “Fuck…” He didn't even bother to try to avoid it, he knew that at the speed he was going it wouldn't matter what he tried. The SUV saw Daisuke coming, slammed his brakes enough to where Daisuke tail end was at his front, and then he hit the gas and jerked the wheel toward the black Fairlady. Daisuke saw TK, he thought of his sister and TK's little girl, `fuck it, I've gotta try something!' The SUV made contact, both Tk and Daisuke's head's jerked at the force and the car was now making a beeline with the concrete wall. Out of any control, maybe?

`SHIT! Shit, shit, shit, shit! THINK DAVIS THINK! I got it, but... Well, maybe he'll at least survive.' Daisuke looked for it, it was difficult at the speed they were going, the wall was getting closer, and so were the cars behind them. He found the opening. He aimed for the reflector on the stripe in the road, it was a long shot, but he hoped since they were skidding sideways, instead of driving normally, his plan would work. But he had to aim perfectly. He grabbed the wheel and watched the reflector, he did it, the rear left tire connected with it, that mixed with Daisuke cutting the wheel all the way to the left put the car into a spin, the wall was now coming at him, not TK. They hit...broken glass went everywhere...
