Digimon Fan Fiction ❯ DigiCraft ❯ Chapter 2
Chapter 2
Before any of the humans or digimon could react, a huge beast that was covered in scaly brown skin burst out into the clearing, flying towards them carrying a struggling girl in its front claws. Foxermon was shocked by the sight of the large beast, and by the way his hair stood on end, it was visible. Audramon was shocked just as much, and she began to prepare her attack.
"Aqua Seizure!" A burst of rapid flowing water exploded from Audramon's mouth. A combination of the pressure of the water and the short amount of time at which it took to erupt caught the huge beast by surprise, and it dropped the girl. She landed on her side and didn't move. Foxermon began to expand his fur for his attack.
"Spiking Puff!" He spat out like poison. The needles flew at the beast and stuck it in all sorts of places indescribable. The beast roared, but it only took one swipe of Foxermon's claws to render it to the ground. As the claws raked across its neck, three thin lines arrived there and began to bleed slightly.
The beast roared and swung its heavy tail blades at Foxermon. It looked rather like a rather odd throw, one of those ones that you know would miss because it was done in the wrong way. However, the middle spike hit Foxermon dead between the eyes.
Kath was shocked at the precision, and turned away as the digimon's head almost seemed to crack open, and blood gushed from the wound where the knifelike spike was driven in. Foxermon dropped like a wet towel full of rocks, and the sound of his falling to the ground seemed to be a rather odd thump.
Kath was shocked at the precision, and turned away as the digimon's head almost seemed to crack open, and blood gushed from the wound where the knifelike spike was driven in.
The blood leaked into his eyes and into his ears, but he could vaguely hear Legend scream. He felt arms wrap around him, and the agonizing pain enveloped him again. He felt an amazingly sharp pain through his forehead, like a terrible migraine gone bad.
Then, he felt the energy leave him. His energy was drained by the severe attack, and he felt himself loosing his four legs, body…he digivolved back to Kipermon, then back down to Dellimon.
Legend wrapped her arms around Dellimon, who had a bloody scratch (not as severe as Foxermon's though) on his forehead. He seemed ok now, but he was breathing heavily.
Audramon watched all of this. She felt a familiar rush of anger, hatred and angst mixed into one. She closed her eyes. She knew what was about to happen, it was all too familiar. It had a fifty percent chance of happening whenever she lost a friend in a battle.
"Audramon dark digivolve to…"
A cold sensation washed through Audramon, and for the first time in weeks, she felt the anger bubble up again. A cold mucus seemed to cover her, though it was only in her mind. From the outside, she seemed to be encased in a black cocoon, and odd transformations were occurring within.
Kath groaned. She hated it when this happened. The battle always had to end up bloody when Audramon's dark form surfaced. She had a huge axe of anguish, and that in itself was stained with the blood of her enemies.
Two pairs of wings sliced out of the cocoon as soon as they grew on Audramon's shoulder blades. Her arms became longer and her paws stretched out to become fingers, and the familiar cold steel began to become visible in her senses…
From the outside, the beast was ambling over to the fallen girl. The fallen girl kicked its shin, and it jumped backwards, in surprise. The fallen girl looked as determined as ever.
"…Tormentamon." The crackle of dark energy erupted from the cocoon, and the huge axe sliced it apart in a relatively short time. The beast turned its head to look at the newly digivolved digimon. It figured, though its brain was small, that battle was at hand. Its claws began to lengthen.
Tormentamon blinked through the mucus that covered her now yellow eyes. The axe felt heavy in her hand, but she was accustomed to wielding it. She swung the blade once, and it sunk deep into the beast's right shoulder. The tinted darkness of the war axe almost seemed to give the beast extra power. Anyways, black blood began to leak from the wound. Legend looked a mix of frightened and disgusted. She hugged Dellimon close but continued to watch. Kath looked one thousand years old.
The beast, however, had other motives. It plunged its left claw hard into Tormentamon's chest, just below her breasts. The strength of the impact shattered her ribcage, and the upward motion of the claw's movement struck her heart, and tore it to pieces physically.
Tormentamon's eyes went wide, and she stumbled backwards, the axe falling from her hands, which were coated in her own blood. There was a huge, bloody hole in the middle of her chest, and fractured rib parts protruded from the bloody mess. Wisps of blood flew from her mouth as she coughed once, twice. It splattered against the face of the beast, but it didn't seem to notice.

Tormentamon, unable to fight when no blood was being pumped in her cardiac system, fell forward onto her knees, then she fell to the ground, as the blood pooled around her and stained the earth below her a crimson dark red.
The beast didn't chuckle. It didn't rejoice with happiness from winning against the digimon. Instead, it turned to Kath.
"…oh shit," Kath said, stumbling backwards. Out of her eyesight range, Tormentamon digivolved back down to Audramon, then back down to Secenemon. Secenemon's eyes drooped, and she was rendered unconscious.
"This won't end well," Legend said, running over to Kath.
"No..run…it'll kill me first…it will be busy with me…you can escape…" Kath stammered, her eyes locked on the beast's yellow ones.
"Are you kidding? Never would I leave you!" Legend snapped, and shoved Kath hard with her right hand (she was holding Dellimon with her left).
"Are you kidding? I would never leave you!"
The beast seemed surprised by the sudden action, and its head snapped back, but its fangs poked out of its mouth like uneven needles. Spittle dropped to the ground in globs from its fangs.
Dellimon looked up at Legend, then growled.
"I won't let any friend of my digidestined be hurt!" He glowed slightly for a moment, then took a deep breath.
"Dellimon digivolve to…"
Legend looked down at Dellimon, who had now changed form into Kipermon.
"Kipermon digivolve to…"
Legend put the small head digimon on the floor before he got bigger.
"Foxermon!"
Kath looked at Legend then smiled. Foxermon leaped at the beast to delay it. It's head snapped in Foxermon's direction, and it hissed angrily. Kath ran over to Secenemon and picked her frail form up.
"Secenemon…" Kath mumbled in a trace, staring at her digimon who was unconscious. Secenemon's eyelids fluttered, but she didn't wake up.
"Aurora beam!" Foxermon growled, he was on the back of the beast. The beam of ice hit the beast square in the back of the head, and it howled in more frustration than pain. The claws on its wings sliced at Foxermon, but the brave Fox digimon tried to hold out long enough. They had come this far. There was no point to loose now. The claw sliced deep into his side, and he was thrown off the beast's back and to the ground.
Legend gasped, and her fists naturally clenched up in frustration and worry.
"FOXERMON!" She cried, tears beginning to weld up in her eyes as she watched the fox digimon bleed uncontrollably from the huge gash in his side.
"Legend…" Foxermon mumbled slowly, "…I won't fail you…not again…not like this…"
The crest of care's light began to shine from Legend's chest. She gasped and looked down at it in surprise, as the medium sky blue light flooded from her in waves.

As soon as the beams of Care itself touched the wounded fox digimon, he was given all new power.
"Foxermon digivolve to…"
Legend fell to her knees as the waves of Care took a lot of energy from her.
"Foxstermon!"
