Digimon Fan Fiction ❯ DigiCraft ❯ Chapter 3
Chapter 3
The newly digivolved Fox digimon stood tall, his chrome claws glistening triumphantly. He bent his knees, and jumped high into the air, preparing to attack.
The beast cocked its head to the sky, but Foxstermon, being a skilled warrior, had jumped high up in the way of the sun. The sun's vibrant rays allowed no visual gain to the beast.
Foxermon curved his body down, and soon he was flying down towards the beast at about 200 miles per hour, and as his velocity picked up, fire began to form at the tip of his chrome claws. Before impact, Foxstermon was basically just a falling fireball from high in the sky.
The heat and strength of the impact tore through the beast, as it wasn't intelligent enough to sidestep the attack and beat a hit and run. It stood there as Foxstermon tore through it, from the point where its neck connected with its body to the base of its stomach. Black blood and internal organs flew in every direction as the beast was literally cut in half.

Foxstermon found himself inside the beast, and could feel the heat of its body. Disgusted, he jumped out and examined his work. Legend stared at her champion digimon, as every inch of his usually brown and gold fur was stained with black blood.
The body of the beast, its head decapitated, erupted into black flame, and burned away into data. As the last faint specks of data flew away into the wind, Foxstermon took a deep breath, almost unbelieving of the carnage he just created.
"You…just slaughtered a digimon…"
Foxstermon shook his head as ghastly images of being inside the digimon filled his mind. He could feel the heat…feel the heart beating that he was so close to…so close…
Foxstermon gasped and started to shrink, digivolving down. He passed Foxermon and went straight to Kipermon. Legend stood up, and felt slightly dizzy. Her head felt like it was full of air. She shook her head, and the dizziness faded away. She put a hand to her forehead, then bend down to pick up Kipermon. She noticed the digimon was shaking slightly.
Legend looked over towards Kath. She wasn't even looking at Legend, she was running towards the fallen girl. Duh. I forgot all about that girl. Legend thought to herself, running towards the girl. By this time, Secenemon was awake, and fully conscious.
"The girl…?" Legend asked, but Kath stopped dead cold as she neared the girl.
The girl was a very pale, almost while, color. She had long, claw like fingernails and tiny horns protruding from her forehead. She had one wing that was limp by her side, with a small claw on the tip, but the other was obviously ripped off. There was a large bleeding spot where her wing should have begun, at the base of her shoulder blade.
Legend gasped when she saw these features of the girl.
"She's a demon!" Came Kipermon's voice from somewhere near her.
"She's a demon!"
"You should digivolve and kill it…before it turns around and kills us," Kath said flatly, looking at Secenemon. Kipermon growled.
"I will! I hate demons! Kipermon digivolve to…Foxermon!" Foxermon started to run towards the demon, but Secenemon jumped in the way. Foxermon skidded to a halt. "What the heck?"
"Look. I didn't train under the healing professors for nothing," Secenemon said. "When I entered it, I swore to help anyone who was helpless, friend or foe. This demon hasn't attempted to hurt us."
"…She will." Kath said flatly again.
"Look, I have to abide by my code. If she tries to harm us, we'll kill her. Simple as that."
"But-" Foxermon started.
"You never know," Secenemon said, "She may have information we need." Foxermon didn't have a reply for that. He stepped back and snorted.
"Fine. Go ahead. If it kills you, its your fault."
The demon could sense that there were live beings around her. She could sense two teenage girls and two digimon, one male and one female. She couldn't open her eyes, they seemed to be weighted down. She didn't care. She figured she could just use some sort of mind trick…
…No. She was at their mercy at the moment, and if they discovered she was playing on their minds, they'd kill her. She felt a searing pain in her shoulder. She decided to play along. She had been taught well how to deceive humans by playing their compassion. Then, when the time was right, she would kill them.
"…please…" She pleaded, in her pathetic voice. "It hurts…something hurts…" Though the act was convincing enough, the breaths before were none other than that of a hero killer.
"Spare us of your treachery, demon," Kath spat angrily. Kath was well aware of this act as well, naturally.
"Spare us of your treachery, demon."
The demon decided to switch to plan B. She opened her eyes. She could jump over them, then fly away to safety. It would be simple. Then she'd be free.
She stretched her wings, and found that only one wing responded to the command. Her eyes moved without moving her head to see the wing that was suppose to be there. Of course, it wasn't. She howled in anger. She hadn't been hurt this badly since she had become immortal. Well that would explain the pain in my shoulder. She thought grimly.
One wing. The demon grimaced. This wasn't good. She may as well just go along with them, then wait for the right time.
She could smell the spell of healing bubbling from deep inside the female digimon that was in her radius. The weak light washed over her, and she crouched, menacingly.
"You know, you're a pretty weird demon," Foxermon said. "With one wing and all."
"Shut the hell up about my wing," the demon hissed. Kath growled.
"That wouldn't be too smart, knowing you're at our mercy."
"So what? I'm already as good as dead…although under most circumstances I would already have been dead…why is it that you allow me to live?" the Demon cocked her head inquisitively, and her jet black hair fell over her yellow eyes.
"We figure you have some information we would need to know," Legend said. Her gaze shifted from the demon that was before her to the goopy black gook that was around the trees.
"Indeed…then…if that's what you wish…I'll tell you anything you wish under one circumstance." The demon said, narrowing her eyes to mere slits.
"You're in no position to bargain," Kath noted harshly. The demon blinked then laughed tauntingly. At the sound of the demon's laugh, Kath's eyes narrowed, but not much.
"Oh, yes I am. You see, I've got information that you don't. And if you kill me, you won't have that information. And since I'm as good as dead, I could care less." The demon's eyes glistened with evil. Legend sighed.
"She's got a point, Kath. Let's at least listen to her request." Kath shook her head disapproving, but made a hand gesture that indicated for the demon to proceed. The demon's eyes glistened as she was slightly amused that her request was being pended.
"Hmm…take me with you." She said, put basically.
"What?" Legend asked, confused.
"Take me with you when you go and fight." The demon said again.
"…. That's it?" Asked Foxermon.
"That's it." The demon said simply.
"…I don't think so. We've already got to keep watch for those flying monstrosities. We can't be watching you at the same time," Kath said.
"You really are a dolt. Now. Do you accept!" Sneered the demon.
