Digital Dementia Chapter 1: Through The Barrier

Jason woke up to a commotion nearly 2 and a half hours later. As he looked around the room he saw 10 other people in the room besides Izzy.

"I thought you were going to wake me up when they got here Izzy?"

Every jumped at his voice. Izzy looked his way. "Actually I was about to wake you up. Let me introduce you."

Izzy moved around the room introducing people. First he stopped by a boy with scruffy hair wearing a blue school uniform. "This is Tai, leader of the first group of Odiaba Chosen." Beside him was a girl with red hair wearing a similar uniform to Tai. "Her name is Sora." Next he went to a boy that seemed to be wearing a bucket on his head who was standing next to a girl that looked somewhat like Tai. "This is TK and Kari." He next moved to a girl who was wearing some very flashy clothing who was standing next to a guy wearing a pair of glasses and a grey uniform. "These two are Mimi and Joe." He moved next to a guy that Jason recognized from the net, in particular the music scene. "I would guess that he is Yamoto Takaishi. I do keep track off events. I like your music Yamoto." came Jason.

"Thanks, but just call me Matt."

Izzy coughed. "Anyway, moving on. The guy with the goggles on his head is Davis, leader of the second group of Odaiba Chosen. The girl beside him is Yolei and the young boy is Cody."

Tai looked a Jason questioningly. "And just who are you anyway?"

Jason stood up. "I am Jason Carter, holder of the crest of honor and a member of the Digital Triad, son of the original holders of the crest of love and courage, imbued with the power of Quilongmon in order to help maintain the seal on the five evil gods of the digital world."

Wolfmon jumped onto the bed beside him. "And I am his partner!"

All gathered, including Izzy, stood in utter shock at what they had just heard.

"Izzy, am I to guess by your reaction that Drake never told you about our origins?"

"You would be correct in that."

"I figured as much. I will tell you that now. In 1991, five children that were about 12 years old were dragged into the digital world to deal with a being of great power that threatened to destroy both of our worlds. That being was Apocalamon. In order to defeat him they each needed to earn a crest. My father earned to Crest of Courage and later was imbued with the power of Quilongmon. The mother of my sister and I earned the crest of love. Do not ask why we don't share a father. Amada's father earned the Crest of Miracles. Drake's father earned the Crest of Hope and his mother the Crest of Light. After they had earned there crests they were forcibly sent back to the beginning of the Digital world were, even though they could not defeat Apacalamon, they managed to seal him off until he broke lose when you fought him. Shortly after that we were born. After that, about ten years digital time later, are parents became corrupted by there own powers and Drake, Amanda and I were forced to seal them away since we could not bring ourselves to kill them. That was about 6 years ago."

Everyone, including Izzy, looked shocked beyond compare. Suddenly a voice came in. "So I guess you already know. Hello Jason."

Everyone looked towards Izzy's computer. On the screen was Genii. "Hello Genii." was the chorused reaction from all gathered.

Izzy looked puzzled. "What do you mean `You guess we already know'?"

"Well judging from the shocked look on all your face Jason just relayed to you the tail of his parents."

"I thought that you didn't remember anything about the original five chosen."

"I didn't until about ten minutes ago when I heard Jason tell all of you guy's." Genii then burst out into laughter. Everyone else in the room face planted. "But I can tell you that everything he told you was true. And that the five evil gods are what currently threaten the Digital world."

Tai looked aggravated. "Figure's a new threat would come along now. I thought the world was getting to peaceful."

"I think we should go to the digital world. There is something you should see there. Genii, could you send word to Amanda to meet us at the ruins of Dark Gate."

"Sure thing." replied Genii before he vanished.

Jason looked at the others. "Shall we go?"

"Sure." replied Tai. Everyone gathered in front of Izzy's computer.

Jason stepped forward. "Allow me." He held out his left hand. The watch around his wrist shifted into a bracer with a strange device covering the palm of his hand. "Digiport Open!" A bright white light surrounded the group and they all disappeared.

Amanda was standing outside of the ruined temple with Serpentamon floating around her when the others arrived. She was wearing a tight red shirt that ended a few centimeters above her navel and a pair of tight jeans. She looked light she was wearing a pair of boots on her feet. Her eyes were covered with a pair of tinted black sunglasses. She had shoulder length red hair.

Jason walked up to his sister and gave her a hug. "How are you doing sis?"

Amanda sounded as though she had been crying. "Alright. Welcome home."

"Hey Jason, you going to introduce us?"

"Oh, right." Jason introduced his sister to everyone except Davis who insisted on introducing himself, as well as trying to pick her up which got him a slap from Yolei and to everyones surprise, a rather powerful uppercut from Amanda.

As Davis sat back up he shot a look at Amanda that could have caused Myotismon to run. "What the fuck was that for?"

Jason spoke up before she could answer. "She recently lost someone very close to her. She is still very touchy on the subject of dating. You just pushed the wrong buttons." He helped Davis back to his feet.

Izzy looked at the ruins with curiosity. "So anyway, what is this place?"

Jason was about to answer the question when a new voice burst in. "This is a holy sight. The place from which the five true Digital gods departed this world and is the place where they shall return."

Everyone looked towards the voice. To everyone's shock, floating in the air above them was what appeared to be a Viral Magnangemon. Before anyone could react Jason was running forward.

"You're the son of a bitch that sent Ryan to another Dimension! Time for you to die!" As he ran forward the bracer on his arm started to glow blue. "Hybrid Digivolutioin Activate. I call the powers of honor and valor." Jason and Wolfmon seemed to merge and in their place stood a Digimon wearing a black cloak holding what looked like two kitanas. "The warrior of honor and valor, Shogun Samurimon!"

All the older digidestioned looked shocked. "How did he do that?"

Amanda looked pissed, even with her glasses on. "Like this." With that her bracer started to glow blood red.

Shogun Samurimon looked back at her. "Amanda, NO!!"

But it was too late. "I call upon the powers of old. ARC-DIGIVALUTION ACTIVATE! Powers of Love, Miracles and Valor!" Amanda and Serpentamon combined. In their place stood a black cyborg that seemed to have water flowing through pipes that surrounded it. "Black Metal Tsunomimon!"

"Oh, shit." Was all Tai could say at seeing the new, and definitely viral digimon. That was standing before them.

"Great trick. I was planning on saving this for later but desperate times call for desperate measures." Magnangemon began to glow black and when the light faded there was a digimon that looked like a biker with a third eye and a metal blaster for his right arm. "Beezlemon! Time to dwindle your numbers." He pointed his right arm straight at Sora as it opened up to reveal that it was really an energy cannon. "Cornea Blaster!" The gun seemed to instantly charge up and fire a blast of energy straight at Sora.

"Sora, NO!" Was all that could be heard as someone shoved Sora and Biyomon out of the way of the blast. Using this as a distraction, Shogun Samurimon unleashed an attack on Beezlemon. "Dark Banishing!" When the smoke from the attack cleared there was no sign of Beezlemon. Shogun Samurimon promptly unleashed an attack that forced Amanda and Serpentamon to separate. She then passed out. Jason and Wolfmon then separated.

"Is everyone all right? Jason asked. As if in reply they all heard a scream from Kari. Everyone ran over to where she was. As they arrived they saw T.K. with his arms wrapped around her as she cried into his shoulder. As they looked past her they saw Sora kneeling beside something on the ground. All the others stood back to talk to Kari while Jason approached Sora. When he got close enough he recognized what was left of Tai lying on the ground. From the damage to his body Jason guessed that Tai had taken the full force of Beezlemon's attack. Agumon was nowhere to be seen. "Oh Shit." Jason rushed over to Sora. When he got there she was already standing up. She turned around and started to cry against his shoulder. Matt came up behind them.

"That piece of shit digimon is going to pay for this. I swear. Come on, let's get you home."

Jason approached TK and Kari. "We should get her home. I'll go with you so you can comfort her while I tell her parents what happened here today. The others should be give time to greave." He turned to Izzy. "Could you take Amanda back to your place?"

"Sure." Was all Izzy said. With that they all headed for the nearest gate. As they walked away, no noticed as Tai's body deleted into data, which instead of dispersing seemed to disappear into the gate that stood atop the ruins.

Takato and the rest of the tamers where had been fighting this most recent digimon to realize in this world. That may have something to do with it being a Viral Magnangemon. Even though it was just an ultimate level digimon, it seemed to have more power than the tamers three ultimate's combined.

Takato looked at Rika and Henry. "I really think that one of us should biomerge with our digimon. We need a mega to beat this guy."

"No way! You heard what Yamaki said. It is too dangerous and should only be used in a real emergency." Was all Rika could say in response.

Takato just looked at her. "And just what do you consider a real emergency?"

The Magnangemon was beginning to look pissed of. "This should shut you up. Gate of Destiny!"

The three tamers looked at him all at once and spoke as one. "Oh shit."

A golden circular object formed behind Magnangemon and he moved out of the way as it opened. But instead of starting to suck everything in the immediate area into it, it did nothing. Magnangemon floated over to it. "Is this stupid thing broken or something. Work you hunk of junk." As he was talking he went to hit it. When he did it blew up in his face. Where the gate once stood was now a digimon that looked to Takato like an Imperialdramon in fighter mode, but the amour was silver and red in stead of black and the design looked a little different.

Magnangemon looked at the new digimon questioningly. "Who the hell are you?"

The new digimon looked at him. "I am Neo Ragnamon. Who might you be?"

"I am Dark Magnangemon, harbinger of the five in this dimension!"

"I thought as much. Time for you to die. Dual Ragnablades!" Two sword's appeared in Neo Ragnamon's hand's that he then slashed in an `X' shape and deleted the Dark Magnangemon. After ward's he began to glow red and shrink. When the light faded, in the digimon's place stood a human with black hair who was wearing sunglasses, an army vest, a t-shirt with a dragon on the front, a pair of baggy pants and a bracer on his right arm. Beside him stood a dragon type digimon that looked like some sort of European medieval dragon.

"Hi." Was all the stranger said before he collapsed.

When Ms. Kamiya heard the door bell ring she expected it to be one of Tai o Kari's friends looking for them. When she answered the door she was surprised to see Kari with TK's arms rapped around her and a strange teenager standing behind them. "Kari you look like you've been crying, Are you alright?"

The stranger spoke up. "TK, why don't you take Kari to her room so she can lie down. I'll tell Ms. Kamiya the news."

Ms. Kamiya gave a deadly look towards TK. "TK, did you get my daughter pregnant?!"

TK looked at her solemnly. "If only."

The stranger stepped forward. "Ms. Kamiya. My name is Jason. I am a Chosen like your daughter here. May I come in. I have something very important to tell you."

Ms. Kamiya let TK and Kari go by to Kari's room and then let Jason in. "What is it that you have to tell me young man?"

"Could you please sit down first Ms. Kamiya?" She obliged him and sat down. "Early today in the digital world, while we were investigating something, we were attacked by a digimon that was intent on killing us."

Ms. Kamiya stood up is shock. "Where's Tai?!"

"Please sit down." Ms. Kamiya sat down shakily. "As I was saying, the digimon unleashed a devastating attack at Sora and Biyomon with all intentions of killing her. Your son apparently pushed her out of the way just in time and took the full force of the blast himself. There was nothing we could do for him. I am very sorry."

"Tai's……..dead?" was all she could say before she passed out.

When Ryan woke up, he appeared to be in a hospital room but there was something off. He sat up and looked around and realized just what was off. He was in what had to be a research center of some kind. Sitting by his chair where the three kids who he had seen after emerging from the gate of destiny. Also in the room was a tall blond haired man in a business suit wearing a pair of sunglasses. "Um, where am I?"

The blond haired man stepped forward. "First of all, my name is Yamaki. And to answer you question, you are in Shinjuku, Japan."

Ryan absorbed this new information. "Ok, so what Dimension am I in, because this certainly is not were I come from?"

"We can't answer that. What I would like to know is how come you people keep dropping in around here. The Jason guy just left here a week ago." This time the speaker was the girl standing between the two boys. She had red hair but other than that she looked almost like Amanda.

"Maybe you should ask the damn viral Magna Angemon that attacked me in my world. I guess I should help you while I'm here. My name is Drake."

The girl stepped forward. "We are grateful for the help. Name's Rika."

The boy to her left stepped forward. "My name's Takato."

"And I am Henry." Replied the third child.

"So what exactly is going on in this dimension anyway? That was a viral Magna Angemon I attacked when I came out of the portal right?"

Rika looked like she was about to answer when suddenly the building shook and alarms started to blare. A voice came over the P.A. "WE ARE UNDER ATTACK! ALL TAMERS DEPLOY AND DEFEND THE BASE!" The three kids quickly jumped up and ran out of the room. Yamaki looked at Ryan. "You might just as well go help them."

With that Ryan got up and chased after them.
