Chapter 10 Cherubimon and the "Rose Morning Star"



When we're all back together, we continue to the 'Rose
Morning Star' by Trailmon. Duskmon had turned out to be
Kouichi, Kouji's older twin brother and the boy with the
blue hat I had seen back in the real world. Kouji was a bit
angry, so we talked to him, while Patamon talked to
Kouichi. After some encouraging words, we had finally
talked Kouji into talking and making amends with Kouichi.
Now, it's dead silent as we ride Trailmon Angler. Suddenly,
we crash into something that throws us out of our seats.
"What happened?!" Izumi demands. Junpei scrambles to a
window and peers out. "We've crashed into Cherubimon,"
he reports back to us. Everyone scrambles to their own
window. Cherubimon, a dark digimon with bunny rabbit-like
ears looks mad. He rips Angler from his caboose and
throws him into the distance. I hear him scream as he
disappear from view. "Great," Takuya mutters, pulling out
his D-scanner. "Everyone 'Spirit Evolve'!"

"SPIRITO EVOLUTION!"

"ALDAMON!" (Takuya Fusion Evolves)

"BEOWULFMON!" (Kouji Fusion Evolves)

"KORIKAKUMON!" (Tomoki Beast Spirit Evolves)

"KAZEMON!"

"BEETLEMON!"

The fight is fierce. Kouichi confronts Cherubimon and that
brings out the true spirits of Darkness. He Spirit Evolves
into Lowemon. He kicks serious butt, especially as
KaiserLeomon With one final attack from him, Cherubimon
dissolves. Everyone de-evolves back into their normal
selves. "Hey, wait a minute!" Junpei exclaims. "We
defeated him, but there wasn't a Digi-code!" "It's because
that wasn't the real Cherubimon," Kouichi replies. "He's
after Yalanda, so we need to protect her," Takuya says.
The other nod in agreement. "We'd better keep going,"
Junpei says. "We're not helping ourselves or Ophanimon."
"Wow, that's very mature of you, Junpei," Izumi say,
arching an eyebrow. "Thanks, Izumi chan," Junpei replies,
drooling. Izumi rolls her eyes. We continue to the 'Rose
Morning Star' by foot. Turns out Ophanimon had been
captured by Grumblemon, Mercurymon, Ranamon, and
Arbormon.



Two tedious hours later, we arrive at the 'Rose Morning
Star,' which turns out to be a castle. After encountering
evil Digimon and meeting a friendly one we get to
Ophanimon. She's in a cage of light surrounded by mirror
things. Cherubimon shows up and it's the REAL
Cherubimon. Kouji and Takuya Fusion Evolve and take
the battle between Cherubimon and themselves outside.
Patamon tells us that the only way to free Ophanimon is
to break the mirror things that the light is bouncing off of.
Everyone, except me and Nekomon, take turns breaking
the mirrors after Spirit Evolving. Before they could finish,
Cherubimon comes back. He casts an eye in my direction.
"Since you are the one that will cause my destruction, I will
destroy you first," he says."Over my dead body!"
Nekomon growls, getting in front of me. The other stand in
front of me, protecting me. Cherubimon blasts dark energy
at us. We all scream as we're blown away. I land hard on
my back. Groaning, I sit up. My body throbs with pain. I
realize my glasses are missing. They must've been
knocked off when Cherubimon blasted us. Blindly, I feel
around for him. Suddenly, I hear Nekomon scream my
name. I jerk my head up and make out a dark energy blast
coming towards me. I scream. A light flashes and my
digivice beeps crazily. I frantically search for my glasses. I
finally find them and slip them on as Nekomon is
digivolving: "NEKOMON DIGIVOLVE TO...TIGRAMON!"
"Whoa!" I exclaim. Nekomon digivolved into a ferocious
white tiger! Cherubimon lets loose another dark energy
blast. "White Tiger Beam!" she calls out. She opens her
mouth and a beam of light shoots out. "You cannot defeat
me!" Cherubimon growls. He lets loose more dark energy.
'Come on, Tigramon!' I think. 'You can do it!" It seems like
Tigramon could sense me cheering her on because she
overpowers Cherubimon.The beam of light hits him and
the mirrors break, freeing Ophanimon. "She did it!" I
exclaim. Cherubimon stands up, slowly. He's mad. His
eyes glow fiercely red at me. He prepares to attack.
Tigramon jumps in the way, protecting me. The others
"Spirit Evolve" into their beast forms.

"SPIRITO EVOLUTION!"

"KAISERLEOMON!"

"ZEPHYRMON!"

"KORIKAKUMON!"

"METALKABUTERIMON!"

They all stand in front of me. "You are fools if you think
you can defeat me," He growls again. He lets lose a
powerful dark energy attack. Ophanimon shields us with
an invisible barrier. "Children, I will teleport you out of
here," she says. "Cherubimon is much too powerful for you
in the state you're in now."Ophanimon, you can't face him
by yourself," I say. "If I can't help save this world, then my
life has no meaning," she replies. She starts to glow.
"Ophanimon, wait!" Izumi cries. We get surrounded by a
bubble of light or something. When it disappears, we're
outside the castle. Tigramon is back to her rookie form and
the others are back to their normal selves. Izumi is holding
two D-scanners. Takuya and Kouji's. She hands them
back to the two boys."What happened in there?!" Takuya
asks. Izumi fills them in. "Whoa," Takuya says. "A tiger?"
Izumi nods. Takuya looks at me and smiles. His smile
fades as Ophanimon's voice comes through his and
everybody else's devices. "Protect, Yalanda," she says,
sounding weak. "Her powers are an asset to you all. They
will help you defeat Cherubimon." "Ophanimon!" Takuya
shouts. "I am upgrading your D-scanners," Ophanimon
says. "You must unite your spirits together..." Her voice
fades away. "Ohanimon!" Kouji yells, but she's gone. An
explosion nearly throws us off our feet. "Look!" Tomoki
exclaims, pointing up at the sky. We look up to see a digi-egg is flying off into the distance. Ophanimon. "Your
sacrifice will NOT be in vain, Ophanimon!" Takuya
exclaims. We all nod in agreement. There's another
explosion. I see Cherubimon standing on the other side of
the castle, enraged."Unite our spirits?" Kouji asks. "How
does she expect us to do that?" "Like this?" Junpei asks.
He, Tomoki, and Izumi hold their D-scanners up to each
others. Suddenly, everyone starts talking all at once.
"Everyone just be quiet!!!" Takuya yells. We immediately
stop talking. It's so quiet, you can hear a pin drop. "If all of
our thoughts..." Takuya starts quietly. "Are one..." Kouji
continues, softly. "We can..." Izumi continues, softly.
"Unite..." Junpei continues, quietly. "Our spirits..." Tomoki
continues, softly. "Together." Kouichi finishes, lowly. Then
everyone starts exchanging spirits(Not their own yet.).
Neemon exclaims loudly and Bokomon slaps a paw to his
mouth. He, apparently, had seen Cherubimon gearing up
for another attack. I did, too. "We have all ten spirits on our
side!" Takuya exclaims, startling me. He turns to faces
Cherubimon. So does everyone else. Takuya, Kouji, and
the others hold up their D-scanners. "Wind into Flame!
Izumi shouts. "Ice into Flame!" Tomoki shouts. Beams of
light shoot out from their D-scanners. "Thunder into Light!"
Junpei shouts."Darkness into Light!" Kouichi shouts.
Beams of light shoot out from their D-scanners, also.
Beams of light whiz out from Kouji and Takuya's devices
and they begin their new evolutions:

"HYPER SPIRITO EVOLUTION! KAISERGREYMON!"

"HYPER SPIRITO EVOLUTION! MAGNAGARURUMON!"


Both of them were BIG! "So what?!" Cherubimon growls.
He lets loose one of his attacks. A "Lightning Spear".
KaiserGreymon and MagnaGarurumon dodge the attack,
pick us up, and put us safely on a large floating rock."You
guys will be safe here," KaiserGreymon says. "Kick his
booty!" I exclaim."And hit him once for me!" Tomoki adds.
"Twice for me!" Bokomon says. "I'll do my best, guys,"
KaiserGreymon replies. "Which we all know is
AWESOME!" MaganaGarurumon looks at me for a second
before leaving to join KaiserGreymon. My heart skips a
beat.


KaiserGreymon summons his "Dragon Crossfire Bow".
Cheribimon somehow dodges it and throws a "Lightning
Spear" at him. Then MagnaGarurumon blasts his "Magna
Missiles" at Cherubimon. They miss him by an inch.
Cherubimon blasts dark energy at him, but he dodges it.
KaiserGreymon and MagnaGarurumon try to explain to
Cherubimon that what he's doing is wrong, but he just
blasts one of his attacks in reply. Dodging it they decide to
go to extreme measures. KaiserGreymon jams his sword
into the floating rock summoning his "Dragon Crossfire
Bow". Streaks of fire roar towards him and burn him.
MagnaGarurumon blasts his Magna Missiles at him again.
Cherubimon, not seeing the attack, gets hit. The impacts
of their attacks somehow causes the floating boulders to
shake. The others and I back up as the boulder beneath
us starts to crumble. MagnaGarurumon and
KaiserGremon quickly gathers everybody up except for
Kouichi. The ground crumbles from under him before he
could get to us. He screams as he starts to fall.
"KOUICHI!!!" We all scream. Just then, MagnaGarurumon
catches him by one of his arms and pulls him up to safety.
Rocks and debris fall on us as our screams echo into the
distance. Then...silence.
