Digimon Fan Fiction ❯ Insight of Love ❯ Deep Concern ( Chapter 2 )

[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]
The last chapter was kind of short, I know. Don’t ask why please; I suppose I rushed it. This one should be longer. I left out a small detail about Tyler’s training room. Tyler created it after the defeat of Malomyotismon, with the help of Izzy (this was before Izzy moved to America, and Mimi hadn’t broken up with Tyler yet). Tyler, in truth, is a computer genius but chooses to hide it from everyone. He doesn’t like the attention, but he occasionally uses his smarts to help one of his friends. He did a lot of calculus and advanced college courses in computer programming and took it to heart, almost as much as Joe took to his doctor courses. Considering, he could be even smarter than Izzy himself. This chapter will go more in depth into a few of the relationships, in particular Matt and Sam, and Davis and Kari. As I said before, my hentai isn’t as explicit as others, and I deviate from using swear words. I am a humble fellow. So if you like cursing, look for another story.

Disclaimer: I don’t own digimon or the song, just my characters.

Chapter 2: Deep Concern

“Sara?” Sora’s mom asked paling slightly.

“That’s right,” said Sara cheerfully. “How have you been?”

“I-I-I’ve been fine,” stammered Sora’s mom. “What made you want to call?”

“Well, seeing that it’s been about four years since we last saw each other, I decided to give you guys a call and see how you’re holding up,” Sara explained. Sara Takenouchi is Sora’s cousin on her dad’s side of the family. A loud and rambunctious person, she tends to be a sort of an annoying pain for Sora and her mother. But for some reason they end up having fun when she’s around, having smiles plastered on their faces at the end of the day. She would always toss Sora around like a rag doll (due to the fact that she took several styles of martial arts), but would never bring any harm to her or let anyone do so. Sora’s mom was quite surprised that her voice changed from a high-piped squeal to a low sultry strong voice.

“Is my knot-head cousin there?” Sara asked.

“No, she went to a concert with her boyfriend,” Sora’s mom said.

“You mean that Tai person? What a weakling!” Sara blurted out. “I nearly crushed his hand last time we met.”

“Well, you have to consider that he probably didn’t spend as much time fighting metal statues as much as you did,” Sora’s mom explained.

“I never did that, I just train hard.”

“Exactly.”

A voice in the background called for Sara, signaling the end of the conversation. “Well, auntie,” she said. “I hate to cut this conversation short, but the mummy is calling her slave girl to bend to her murderous will. Probably to clean my room again. Anyway, I’ll talk to you later.”

“Okay Sara, bye,” said Sora’s mom, positively relieved to get her off of the phone.

“Oh, Auntie! Before I go, there’s something I forgot to mention,” Sara said catching her aunt’s attention again. “We’re moving to Odaiba in about three weeks. Say hello to Sora for me.” With that, she hung up the phone.
Sora’s mom stood there in a sort of stupor staring at the receiver as the dial tone sounded. ‘Did I hear right,’ she thought to herself. ‘Did she say she was moving here?’
********************************************************** *********************

Backstage at the concert before the show we find all of the digidestined, excluding Mimi and Izzy, who were in America, Cody and Trinity, who were too young to go to the concert, Joe because he was studying for mid term exams, and Tyler, simply because he didn’t want to go. Everyone begged him to come along, but he politely refused, stating that he didn’t want to impede on their fun by being the outcast, but he did ask them to give his regards to Matt and express an apology as to why he couldn’t be there.

“I don’t get it,” said Matt. “Why’s he acting like this?”

“I’m not sure who Tyler is,” said a beautiful female with shining blue hair, matching blue eyes, full plump lips painted light blue, large supple breasts covered by a blue strapless bikini top with a bottom to match that showed off the bottom of her well rounded butt, and a body with well developed curves wrapped up in a plastic see-through outfit with baby blue sandals on. She was one of Matt’s concert dancers whom he hooked up with from high school. Amazingly, the other boys were able to hold their composure and not stare at her, especially since she was standing behind Matt with her arms wrapped around his waist and her chin resting on his shoulder.

“He’s a good friend of ours, Sam,” said Matt.

“I’m beginning to worry about him,” said Kari. “I noticed that he’s be getting more and more distant from us, but I can’t figure out why. I keep feeling this sense of foreboding and self pity about him, as if he’s crying inside about something, but doesn’t want to let it out.”

“If he keeps this up, it’ll hurt him in the long run,” said Davis. He felt as bad about Tyler as Kari did, especially since he was the first one to fully support their dating, seemingly before everyone else knew about it.

FLASHBACK 2 MONTHS AGO!!!

“It’s about time you two got together,” Tyler said with his back turned to Davis and Kari while getting them something to drink from the fridge. They were currently in his apartment, where they decided to go after a few close encounters with Kari’s brother, whom they were sure would deny of their relationship and send Davis home in a body bag. So far everyone thought that TK and Kari were the perfect couple, both having known each other longer from their earlier adventures when they were kids, and the fact that they both had partner digimon that could digivolve into angels. Even though they dated each other, which everyone thought they were still doing right now, she didn’t feel that instant connection as she did with Davis.
The statement flabbergasted the young couple. “W-what do you mean?” stammered Kari.

Tyler looked back at her with a light grin on his face. “Kari,” he said slowly. “I’ve known you since you were little. You’ve become like a sister to me, so I can easily tell when something’s up.” He grabbed two juice bottles out of the fridge and walked back into the living room, handing them to Davis and Kari.
“I’ve noticed you stealing glances from Davis a lot,” he went on, “and you tended to blush every time he did or said anything that pertained to your well being, even though you pretended not to pay any heed. So I naturally figured it was only a matter of time until you got together.”

This caught Kari by surprise, especially since he was telling the truth. She remembered the first day she met Davis, how handsome he looked back then, the way his courage captivated her the first time he went to the digital world and saved her and Gatomon from the Monochromon, and how he was now the handsome young man she came to love.

“And Davis,” Tyler continued, “I don’t know everything about you, but I know enough to the point that I can tell that you would be a great choice for Kari. I can tell there’s more to you than meets the eye, and that you had a terrible past.”

Now it was Davis’s turn to freeze. ‘How does he know about my past?’ he thought.

“Relax,” said Tyler sensing Davis’s nervousness. “I don’t know any detail, just that you have one. All in all I prefer you because, no offense, but TK was a glass jaw when it came to relationships. A bit on the timid side, he was. I take it you haven’t told Tai yet?”

Both shook their heads no. “Good,” Tyler said. “Just make sure I’m there when you decide to tell him. You’re going to need the extra muscle to hold him down.”

END FLASHBACK!!!!!!!!

Sora and Tai were the only ones who knew why Tyler was acting this way. They tried to keep it a secret, but now the situation was getting out of hand. If they were going to help Tyler, then they had to tell everyone what was going on now, and perhaps they could help somewhere along the line.

“Yo, Matt. It’s about five minutes to showtime,” said one of Matt’s band members poking his head outside of the dressing room.

“Alright,” said Matt turning back to the others. “Well, looks like you guys have to get down to the audience.”

“We have something to discuss when the concert’s over with,” said Tai quickly.

“Something we should have told everyone when it first started,” Sora added.

“So let’s meet at the ice cream parlor afterwards, okay?” Ken suggested.

“Sounds like a plan,” TK said, his eyes sparkling at the thought of ice cream. Everyone left the backstage so Matt and Sam could prepare.
************************************************************** **************

Anyone who’s ever heard the Teenage Wolves sing were there, even those who only heard him once. There were even people from America there. A large group of American teens mingled in the huge Japanese crowd, all wearing blue shirts with a silhouette of a wolf howling at a bright moon. In fact, everyone in the audience, regardless if they had the wolf drawing or not, had blue on. Even the stage had blue draping and props, and the band was sure to have blue on. This was a special occasion because the Teenage Wolves were on tour and this was their next stop, so Matt decided to celebrate with the color attribute for his digimon, Gabumon. They were going to be in Odaiba for about a week, which gives them enough time to plan for the next road tour, and gives the two brothers time to spend with one another. He managed to get backstage passes for his friends to hang out with him before the concert.

“Do you think Mimi will be here?” Yolei asked hopefully, hanging on to Ken.

“I wouldn’t doubt it if she was,” Said TK.

“Wouldn’t doubt what she’s wearing either,” Jun chimed in. “If anything she’d be standing out in the crowd like a sore thumb.”

This got a laugh out of everyone, including Tai and Sora. They abruptly sobered up though, and resorted to a grin.

“This really is a nice crowd,” Kari said looking around. “I’ve never seen one this big.”

“Then you haven’t been to one of my soccer games,” Davis boasted.

“I’ve been to one,” TK said. “The crowds there are as big as your head!”

Everyone started laughing. “Very funny, TC,” said Davis, smiling all the while. When Kari broke up with TK for Davis, TK was pretty much devastated, and was at Davis’ throat every chance he got. That all changed when Jun came into the picture. Jun had a crush on TK ever since she first saw him. And when she found out he was the brother of Matt, she was ecstatic. When TK and Kari were dating, she was heart broken, not wanting to be with any other guy but him. She found out from Davis and Kari that he was single again, and jumped at the opportunity to be with the man of her dreams. It felt pretty awkward to everyone, especially since Jun was two years older than TK, but in the end everyone saw how happy they were. TK and Davis even became good friends and dropped the rivalry between themselves.

“Hi, everyone!” came a shrill voice that made Tai and Sora freeze. Everyone spun around to see a girl with strawberry blond hair that came down to her shoulders with blue stars dotted in it, a loose blue short sleeve V-neck shirt, dark blue knickerbockers that hugged her calves, and blue and white ankle high sneakers walking up to them.

“Mimi! You’re here!” cried Yolei running up to her and giving her a hug.

“I stand corrected,” Jun whispered to TK.

“It’s so good to see you all again,” Mimi was saying as she hugged everyone.

“Where’s Izzy?” asked Ken looking around for the redhead.

“I’m here,” Izzy said walking towards them. “I had to find a parking space. It’s a jungle out there!”

“Well, it took you long enough,” Mimi said, giving him a kiss on the cheek. This made Tai and Sora cringe a little. Everyone else wondered why she did that.

‘How can she go on and act like nothing’s happened?’ they thought to themselves.

“So Mimi, how are things in New York?” Sora asked, trying not to look too inconspicuous.

“Everything’s going great,” Mimi answered. “Ever since Izzy got that computer job with Microsoft and became Bill Gates’ right-hand man, we’ve been living large!”

This really baffled everyone except Tai and Sora. They stared at the couple with questioning looks.

“’We’?” asked Ken.

“Yep,” Mimi beamed.
“She did say ‘we’, right?” Davis whispered to Kari, who was just about as stunned as everyone else.

“Where’s everyone else?” asked Izzy, noticing the few that weren’t there.

“Cody and Trinity, as you know, are too young to come,” said Tai. “and Joe is studying for exams as usual.”

“What about Tyler?”

“He didn’t want to come,” Tai said solemnly. “He didn’t explain why either.”

Kari caught a flash of mischief behind Mimi’s eyes, but decided not to take note of it. Suddenly the lights in the concert hall shut off, signaling the beginning of the concert. Everyone went silent, except for a few murmurings, and a few giggles coming from Mimi as Izzy fondled her lower region.

“Can’t they be just the least bit subtle,” Sora whispered to Tai, clearly annoyed. On the stage, a single blue light shown down on the microphone, with a slight mist coming seemingly out of nowhere. Out of the black background stepped the leader of the Teenage Wolves, Matt. The crowd went wild, mostly with girls at the front screaming their heads off.

“Good evening, everyone, Japanese and American alike,” he said addressing the crowd as it calmed down. “Thank you all for your support, and coming to the concert. As you all know, I grew up here with some very special friends. Some of you might know them, most of you may not. Either way, I’m glad they’re here. This first song we’re going to sing is dedicated to them, and all of the fun and adventures we had as kids. Once again, thank you, and enjoy the show.” The crowd went wild again as the light above him shut off abruptly. Four taps were heard from the drummer’s sticks; the lights came on at the same time the music started. After a few notes on his electric guitar, Matt slid up to the microphone.

Circling your head contemplating everything you said
Now I see the truth I got a doubt
A different motive I your eyes and now I’m out
See you later
I see your fantasy you want to make a reality paved in gold
See inside, inside of our heads yeah
Well that’s over
I see your motives inside decisions to hide

Back off I’ll take you on
Headstrong to take on anyone
I know that you are wrong
Headstrong we’re
Headstrong
Back off I’ll take you on
Headstrong to take on anyone
I know that you are wrong
This is not where you belong

I can’t give everything away
I won’t give everything away

Conclusions manifest, your first impressions got to be your very best

I see you’re full of mess and that’s alright
That’s how you play I guess you get through every night
Now that’s over
I see your fantasy you want to make it a reality paved in gold
See inside, inside of our heads
Well that’s over
I see your motives inside and your decisions to hide

Back off I’ll take you on
Headstrong to take on anyone
I know that you are wrong
Headstrong we’re
Headstrong
Back off I’ll take you on
Headstrong to take on anyone
I know that you are wrong and
This is not where you belong
Where you belong

I can’t give everything away

The crowd cheered as the song ended. The Americans were quite shocked that he was able to sing the song perfectly without breaking any words, and they cheered madly. The girls in the front row were starting to become a bit too riley, so the security guards linked their arms to hold them back. The concert went on with everyone having a good time. Sam even came on the stage to sing, which resulted in half the guys in the audience nearly bum rushing the stage.
The show ended promptly at nine. The digidestined met Matt and Sam near his van behind the stadium. “Ready to go?” he asked, not noticing Mimi and Izzy behind everyone.

“Yep,” everyone said at once.

“Where are you guys going?” asked Izzy.

“We’re going for ice cream,” TK answered.

“Can we come too?” Mimi asked, grinning broadly. Tai and Sora became nervous.

‘Please, no,’ they thought, for it would put a damper in their plans. They didn’t expect at all for Mimi and Izzy to show up to the concert.

“Actually we have to get back to the hotel and unpack,” Izzy said glancing at his watch seeing how late it was. “I really don’t plan on staying up past midnight putting your clothes up.” Tai and Sora sighed lightly.

“Aww, but I wanted some ice cream,” she pouted.

“We’ll stop along the way and get some,” Izzy said, sweat dropping.

“Okay!” Mimi perked up instantly.

“We’ll be seeing you guys later,” said Matt as he and everyone got into the van.

“Byee!” Mimi said cheerfully as she and Izzy walked to the parking lot.
****************************************************************** ***************

“So what was so important that you needed to talk to us about?” Yolei asked Tai and Sora. They were at the ice cream parlor, each having what he or she wanted.

“Come to think of it, you two seemed real nervous when Izzy and Mimi asked to come with us,” Ken said.

“And what did they mean by ‘we’?” asked Matt, wondering why the two were so close to each other.

Tai sighed. “Izzy and Mimi are dating, and have been dating for a while now,” he began.

Everyone was shocked. Jun nearly choked on her ice cream and had to be patted on her back.

“Wait, I thought she was with Tyler?” asked Kari. “What happened?”

“She broke up with him for a real stupid reason, probably,” said Sam. She’d been through breakups with guys that didn’t give any solid reasons.

“You’re right, it was a stupid reason,” said Sora. “She broke up with him because he didn’t have enough money, according to her. He may not be a millionaire, but Tyler does make enough money to sustain himself, and whomever he might end up with.”

“As I said before, something real stupid,” Sam said. “That isn’t a legitimate reason to break a relationship with anyone. Personally, I can care less how much money Matt may or may not have. What matters is the love we have for each other.” She kissed him on the cheek, leaving a light blue lip mark on his cheek.

“How do you guys know about this in the first place?” Matt asked.

“Mimi has a big mouth,” Sora said. “Need I explain more?”

“So I take it that this doesn’t bode well with Tyler?” Jun asked.

“Of course not,” Tai said. “Especially since he was the first one she told, and she was quite cheerful about it.”

This made everyone a little muddled. They all knew Tyler loved Mimi, and would do anything for her. But now that they thought about it, she didn’t show the return of that love, even when she put on a façade, which they were quick to see through. They now understood why Tyler was acting like this.

“So this is what he’s been crying inside about,” Kari stated.

“That’s not the half of it,” Tai said. “He said that he didn’t want to be the outcast there. I didn’t realize what he meant by that, since there were mostly single people at the concert, but now I see why.”

“He would be the only one there from our group without a mate,” Ken said, looking down. They nodded their heads in agreement

“Perhaps it’s a good thing he didn’t want to come,” said Davis after a minute. “If so, then Izzy wouldn’t have made it through the night.”

“True, but you have to remember that Tyler can keep his composure even under the most stressful times,” said Kari. “Besides, I don’t think Tyler would let his anger get out of control.”

“Really?” Tai asked sarcastically. He reflected with a bit of a tremble on the time when Tyler gave him a black eye the week he found out Davis and Kari were dating.

ANOTHER FLASHBACK!!!!!!!

Davis and Kari managed to avoid Tai for most of the week, having told everyone but him about their relationship. They were at a women’s clothing store that Kari managed to pull him in to. Kari was in one of the dressing stalls currently trying on the lingerie that Davis helped her pick out, and Davis was sitting just outside the stall on a bench.

‘How in the world did she get me in here?’ he thought to himself.

“Hey, Davis, after we finish here, where do you want to go?” asked Kari.

“Well, my place is empty,” Davis said jokingly.

“…sounds fun,” Kari said coyly.
---------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------

“Sora, what are we doing here?” Tai asked as he was dragged through the lingerie store by his girlfriend.

“Shopping, what do you think?” she said sharply as she grabbed an item from the rack.

Tai decided this wasn’t the best time to argue. When it came to shopping, he knew it was better to dwell in the corner of a rooftop than with a brawling Sora. ‘How do I get myself into these situations?’ he thought to himself.
-------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------

‘Davis wasn’t kidding, this does feel nice against my skin,’ Kari thought, tugging on the fabric of the black silk panties she had on. She reached down for the matching bra and put it on, having trouble with the fastening in the back. ‘Stupid bra,’ she thought.

“Davis, could you come help me with this?” she asked.

“Sure thing,” Davis said, stepping into the stall just as Tai and Sora walked into the room.

They heard the light giggling coming from the end of the hallway. “Sounds like they’re having fun,” Tai said.

“Don’t get any ideas,” Sora said. “I’ll be back in a bit.” She stepped into one of the stalls as Tai sat down on the bench, listening to the incoherent moans coming from the stall next to him.

“…mmm…that feels good…”

“Kari?” thought Tai, recognizing his sister’s voice. “Wow, go TK. I didn’t think-”

“…rub harder, Davis…”

‘DAVIS?!’ Tai nearly broke the door down to see what was going on.

“TAI!” screamed Kari looking back.

“TAI?!” Davis looked up from in front of Kari, still holding her chest.

“RAPIST!!!” Tai all but shouted as he grabbed Davis by the wrist and flung him out of the stall.

“What do you think you’re doing with my sister?!” he shouted, jerking Davis from the floor and punching him in the mouth, sending him into the wall.

“Tai, it’s not what you think,” Davis said, fearing for his life.

“It’s exactly what I think!” Tai pushed Davis against the wall and held him by his shirt collar. “To think I trusted you Davis, and this is how you repay me?!”

“BROTHER!”

“TAI KAMIYA!”

Two very strong female voices caught Tai’s attention. He turned his head to Sora while keeping his eyes on Davis. “Sora, you won’t believe what I caught Davis trying to do!”

“Let me guess,” she said, entirely deadpan. “You caught them fooling around, right?”

This caught Tai by surprise, and questions started running through his mind.

“Tai, put Davis down,” Sora said walking up to him. “And maybe if you keep that temper of yours in check, then Kari won’t hate you forever.”

Tai turned to look back at Kari, who had just put on her shirt. “Put my boyfriend down,” Kari said sternly. Tai immediately dropped Davis, not because she told him to, but because she called him her BOYFRIEND. Davis fell to the floor with a soft thud, and Kari rushed over to him.

“Are you okay?” she asked wiping a bit of blood off his lip.

“I’ll live, if that’s what you mean,” he whispered, trying to lighten the mood.

“Sora, what in the world is going on?” Tai asked wondering why Kari just kissed Davis.

“Kari and Davis are an item,” Sora explained. “And have been for some time now.”

“Since when?” Tai asked.

“Since two months ago,” Kari said. “I broke up with TK because there was nothing special between us.” She helped Davis of the ground and supported him standing.

“I’m sorry if I did betray your trust Tai,” he said.

“No, I’m sorry for jumping to conclusions,” Tai said, cutting him off. “But don’t think I’m happy about this!”

Kari sat Davis down on the bench and gathered her things. She helped Davis back up and the two of them walked out of the room.

“Wait, Kari. I think we need to talk about this,” Tai said.

“Later,” she replied. “When I’m not so mad at you.”

Tai watched them go. “Sora, I really think I need to talk to her,” he said.

“Tai, don’t. You’ll just hurt her more than she already is,” Sora said. “Just give her time to calm down, then talk to her.”

This statement, which was to make Tai feel better, made him worry even more. Sora kissed him on the cheek. “Don’t worry. They’re still virgins,” she said. Tai smiled a little, and the two of them left the room. He rounded the corner first, and was met by two blazing silver eyes, and a fist as hard as a brick.
Tyler stood over an unconscious Tai, whose right eye was already swelling up. Sora looked at Tyler, with absolute shock written on her face. She understood why he did it, but she didn’t think he was anywhere close to them. Tyler slowly looked up at her, his eyes gradually softening from the silver glow, back to his original mahogany color.

“Let’s bring him to my apartment,” he said, scooping Tai up with one hand, and placing him in his arms.

END OF FLASH BACK!!!!!!!! (whew)

“Well, that was only one time,” Kari said grinning. “At any rate, we have to help him. He can’t keep drowning in his sorrows like this.”

“He can talk to Joe,” TK suggested. “He’s single too, you know.”

“Yeah, but talking to Joe is like talking to a brick wall,” Matt said, seeing the flaw in that plan.

“Why not a picnic in the digiworld?” Yolei suggested. “That might cheer him up.”

“What if Izzy and Mimi wanted to come?” Ken asked.

“Oh man. I didn’t think about that.”

“Let’s do it,” Tai said. Everyone looked at him questionably. “I know that it sounds like a bad idea, but what choice do we have? We’ll just have to wing it and play by ear.”

“Tai’s right. I’m sure things will work out in the end,” said Sora.

“How about we not tell them?” asked Sam.

“They’ll find out if we tell them or not,” Matt told her. “We don’t know exactly how they do, but news gets to them really fast.”

“Doesn’t mean we can’t chance it,” Sam said.

“I suppose you’re right.”

“Then it’s settled,” said Tai standing up. “We go to the digiworld tomorrow at say, two o’clock?”

“Yeah!” they all said.

“Then tonight we start preparing. Make sure we have everything for the picnic and call me in the morning. TK, you call Cody, Trinity, and Joe. Let them know what‘s going on and have them meet us in the digital world. Operation Help Tyler is under way!”
*********************************************************** ********************

“Sora, guess who called?” Sora’s mom said as soon as she walked through the door.

“…” Sora remained silent.

“Your cousin Sara.”

“Oh,” said Sora, thinking it was someone important. “So why do you look nervous about it?”

“She’s…moving here to Odaiba in three weeks.”

“…” Sora froze on the spot. It was enough that Sara would come to visit every once in a while, but now she was coming to live in the same area.

“A-are you for real?” she asked slowly.

Her mother lowered her head solemnly. “Great,” she thought as she went into her room.

‘This is just great,’ she thought bitterly as she got undressed. ‘now I’m going to be tortured more than ever!’
Suddenly she stopped, remembering the first time she came to visit, how her and Tyler looked at each other. Then an idea hit her.

“What if…” she said slowly to herself while smiling as she walked into the bathroom to shower and get ready for bed.
