Disclaimer: I don’t own this and I’m a college student who is struggling to make ends meet, so it would be stupid to sue. I’m not even updating this from my own house because I’m too poor for the ‘net. Any more questions? No? Good.
I'd like to say I was surprised when I felt Miyako's soft lips on mine. I'd also like to say that I backed off from kissing my best friends girlfriend, but I didn't. Instead I put my hand behind her head and pulled her closer to me, deepening the kiss at the same time. She tasted sweet, sweeter than any of the other girls I had kissed, not that that amounted to much. Honestly, it was the best kiss I had ever had, with all of the passion in the world.
After a moment we broke and we looked at each other, desire present in our eyes.
Miyako averted her eyes after a moment. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that. Ken's your best friend and my boyfriend. I should have respected you both more than that."
"I should have stopped you, but I didn't, and although I'm not sorry, I still shouldn't have done it."

Miyako looked up at me, surprised at what I had said. "You aren't sorry?"
I grinned and shrugged. "Nope. Serves Ken right for leaving someone as beautiful as yourself alone with three guys. If I were him I would have fought tooth and nail to keep you with me."

Miyako blushed. "Really? Maybe he doesn't love me that much then, or he doesn't care."

"Either way he's an idiot." Miyako snorted and turned to lean against my chest. Her weight was more than welcome there. I was falling for this girl, and hard.

"I thought he'd fight for me to come with them, or at least say something," she whispered.

"I know. I didn't think they'd actually leave us behind. I thought someone would speak up for us at the very least, but we're here and they're out there fighting."

She sighed and fell silent. I did the same, pulling her closer to me.

The two of us sat like that until it started to get dark, munching on my food and dozing. Miyako was passed out and I was drifting off when I decided it was time to go back. We didn't need another repeat of yesterday.

"Hey, Miyako, wake up," I said, giving her a small shake.

"No, its too early," she mumbled back. I stifled a laugh, then tried again.

"Miyako, we have to get back inside before it gets dark. We're in the the Digital World, remember?" This time the girls eyes fluttered open. She looked at me, confusion written across her face.

"Daisuke?"

"Hey, Sleepyhead. Time for you to get up. We have to get back inside before Gennai notices we've disappeared and sends out a search party." Slowly realization dawned in her eyes and she sat up.

"Yeah, let's go." She stood up. I followed, grabbing the bag. We opened up the lake and headed down quickly, the sun was setting fast and we didn't want to be caught outside in the dark. When we reached the door we opened it slowly, hoping no one was inside waiting for us. When we saw that the room was empty we stepped inside.

"So, where have you two been all day?" My heart stopped and I turned to look and see who it was that had asked. Iori was standing just out of sight. I let out the I breath I had even realized I was holding. Iori wouldn't tattle.

"We were just looking at the clouds. We lost track of time." I could feel my ears burn with what I had left out, but that was personal between Miyako and me. No need for him to know.

He smirked, "Sure."

At this I saw Miyako's ears turn maroon also, but Iori dropped the subject. "I'm going out once Gennai goes off to bed. I've got some whiskey and some beer if you two would like to join me. I'm going to swim."

Miyako and I looked at each other, surprised at what the eleven year old had just told. He had whiskey. Miyako and I didn't have any booze, but an eleven year old did.

"Oh, and if you're thinking about taking it from me because I'm too young, don't bother. You'll never find it."

Miyako glared, but I just shrugged. "I'm in. Just wake me when you're ready."

With that I headed back to our communal room. Miyako said nothing Iori and instead followed me. As soon as we were out of earshot she cornered me against a wall.

"What the hell are you thinking?" she hissed, "I thought we agreed he's too young to be
drinking."

"We did, but it doesn't exactly look like we have much of a say. He's going to get drunk and I can either join him, or I can sit here and be bored and sober all night. Its really up to us." I slid out from in front of her and continued my walk to the room.

"So we just let him get drunk, even though he shouldn't be and we're responsible for him?" she asked, still following me.

"First, we aren't responsible for him. Gennai is. Second, its not really like we have a choice. He's going to be drinking no matter what we want. I want to drink too, so I'm going to. Third, I want to get some sleep so that I can enjoy my drunken stupor and forget that I should be out fighting rogue digimon and that I want my best friends girlfriend."

Miyako stopped and I tried my damndest not to hit myself. Why had I, yet again, opened my big mouth. There was only one thing to do at this point, run.

"Goodnight Miyako," I said before making a mad dash for my sleeping bag and hiding until Iori came to wake me.

A/n: So, I know this is incredibly short, but its also important. Hopefully I’ll have the next chapter up soon to make up for it. J Btw, reviews make me write faster, so don’t hesitate to send me one. Dephs
