Me: Konnichiwa! The second chapter of Shattered Dreams! Can you do the disclaimer, Guilmon?

Guilmon: Vanessa-san doesn't own Digimon Adventure 02 or Digimon Tamers. But she does own this story and her charcters.

Terriermon: And this chapter takes place during tough-gurl's partay at the end of the 6th movie.

Ruki:*growls* don't call me "tough-gurl"!

"Why pull the face......arigouto....."~Ruki

Chapter 1
The portal is opened! The Tamers arrive!

"Happy Birthday!" Streamers were sent flying on Ruki's head from Hirokazu and Kenta. Ruki sat with an emotionless expression on her face.

"Culumon! Kuru kuru kuru!" cheered Culumon as Impmon gulped down the food. Hirokazu and Kenta waved the streamer poppers laughing.

"Saa, blow out the candles!" said Juri. Takato carefully got 2 of the streamers off of Ruki's face before she blew the candles out. Evreyone clapped and cheered.

"Sugu tachiagaranakya
CHANSU wa nigete yuku wakatteru sa!" sang Shuichon on the kareoke, Terriermon and Lopmon "dancing" next to her. Culumon zoomed around giving food and drinks to evreyone. He also brought the dishes to Juri and Takato. Guilmon was about to eat a piece of cake, but Impmon took it away and ate it. Guilmon then bit his hand. Shuichon bowed after she finished singing "The Biggest Dreamer" and evreyone clapped.

"Pi po po po!" cheered MarineAngemon.

"Ei, Ruki ga?" Ryou exclaimed suddenly. Yes, evan Ryou was there, much to Ruki's displeasure.

"Do a song! Sing a song for us Ruki!" called Hirokazu.

"Don't ask her that!" warned Takato. Ruki finished her drink and got up. She walked towards her room.

"Then, I'll do the kareoke!" exclaimed Rumiko happily.

"Why is Ruki leaving, kuru?"asked Culumon before eating something off his plate. Takato started to follow her.

"Saa! ima koso hashiri dase
Chizu niwa nai basho he!" Rumiko sang "My Tommorow".

Takato saw Ruki sitting outside her room, the sliding panal pushed back. "Ruki..." Renamon appeared behind him and he looked at her. Renamon nodded and Takato knew that he should leave Ruki alone.

Ruki looked at the orange sunset, remembering what happend during the day.

"Ruki-san...." Ruki heard a voice and turned her head to where it was coming from. A girl with brown-blond hair to her shoulders was there, in a shirt like Ruki's, except the sleeves were a dark blue. "Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Ruki! Happy birthday to you!" she sang in english. A hint of a smile appeared on Ruki's face.

"Vanessa, what are you doing here? I though that you were on your way to america" said Ruki. Vanessa walked over to Ruki.

"The digital zone made the flight be delayed until tommorow, and it's your birthday, right? I decided to come over"

"You didn't have to, evan what happened after Devilmon?" asked Ruki. Vanessa nodded slowly, remembering the past events right after the D-reaper.

"Evan if when my best friend is gone, I still want to wish you a happy birthday. I'm gonna see the others now" she said and she walked inside.

"Konbanwa minna!"

"Ei? Vanessa?!" the others exclaimed. Vanessa nodded. Rumiko just ended her song.

"Can I try?" she asked. Rumiko nodded and handed the microphone to Vanessa.

"Aozameta sora nijinda hi no hikari doko mademo tsuzuku
Kurikaeshi hibi iiwake to kogen to wakaranakute" Vanessa sang "Days~Aijou no Nichijou~.

Takato watched Ruki at a distance, the setting sun reflecting on her face. She then something that Takato didn't expect, she sang.

"Zutto zutto issho ni iru to Ano yuuhi ni yakusoku shita kara
Ima sugu aitai Sono kimochi o Onegai tsutaete ne

Hitoribotchi no kokoro ni Totsuzen tobikonde kita
Sukoshi itakatta koto Yasashiku tsutsunde kureta
Konna ni hotto suru koto wa hajimete dakara
Sono nukumori o sotto Poketto ni tsume konde Aruite ikitai?" Ruki sang, remebering the song her father taught her all those years ago. She didn't notice Takato was there. He was amazed, Ruki was pretty good at singing!

But she noticed something in the distance, a rip in the sky was forming. Lighting crashed from it and a web of stars was in the middle of it. She stopped her singing and gasped. She turned around and saw Takato.

"Goguru Atama! Get the others, now!" Ruki demanded. Takato needed no more, he knew that tone of voice meant something was going on. He quickly got the others and they went to where Ruki was.

"Look" she pointed to the portal now opening.

"We better get there fast, some digimon might come and hurt innocent people!" said Ryou.

"No duh Einstein!" retorted Ruki.

"I would help, but I don't have Efuimon and Okaa-san might get worried so I have to go now" said Vanessa and she walked away. Ruki put on her sunglasses and they ran towards the portal.

When they got there, something happened that no one expected, they were lifted from the ground! The floated upwards toward the portal and in seconds, they were swallowed up by the portal and it closed behind them.

Koushirou was typing away on his laptop when he noticed something. The computer picked up a signal, like when the digital world was un-balanced five years ago(first season). It only meant one thing, a portal has opened. But they defeated all the evil in the digital world, or so he had thought. He got his cell phone and dialed a number.

"Hai, moshi moshi?" asked a female voice on the other line.

"Merodi-san! Get the other Chosen Children to the park immeadiently! Don't ask anything, just get them!" Koushirou hung up before Merodi could ask anythng else. In 15 minutes, all the younger Chosen Children and the older ones were there.

"What is it Koushirou-san?" asked Merodi.

"I've detected some high energy levels, a portal has appeared and is gonna open any minute" Just after Koushirou said that, the portal opened and the tamers dropped down from the sky. They all landed.... right on Merodi.

"Itai! Why am I always the one people fall on!?" whined Merodi. The Tamers wiggeled and finnaly got off Merodi. "Thank you!" she breathed. Takato, Jenrya, Hirokazu, and Kenta's eyes bulged when they saw who they were with.

"No way....." they whispered.

"No way what?" asked Takeru.

"Well, ah, anou...." Takato started, but Jenrya nudged him. Hirokazu and Kenta were about to talk before he nudged them too.

"Don't say anything yet" he muttered. Merodi's D-3 started beeping.

She sighed, and was about to take it out, but remembered that people who probably didn't know digimon were there. But she then saw the digimon fly in soon after. "Hai hai hai, just a second" she took it out and pressed a button. A hologram of Gennai appeared!

"Konnichiwa Minna" he said.

"Gennai-sama?!" exclaimed Merodi. Gennai nodded. He turned towards the Tamers.

"I see you have some visitors" he said. Hirokazu was about to say something, but Ruki hit the back of his head.

"Jen said not to say anything baka!" she accused. Gennai chuckled.

"So, tell Princess Crest and the others about yourselves, Tamers" The Tamers sweatdrop. If they told them about them, that would give them the clue that they're just fiction in their world.

"You can show them later, but I have to ask you something. Who were the last three enemy's you faced?"

"Hmmm... D-reaper, then Devilmon, then the Parasimon who...." Ruki shuddered. The Parasimon took control of her and she almost killed Takato. Merodi put her hand up.

"Wait a minute! We just beat Devilmon a few months ago, and you say you just defeated him?!"

"Not now Princess Crest. I've got to go now, the Digital Gods need me"

"Matte o!" pleaded Merodi, but Gennai dissapeared. She crossed her arms. "I hate it when he does that!" She turned towards the others.

"I see you have digimon, I know a few of them" she said pointing to Terriermon and Gaurdromon. She narrowed her eyes. "Tell me why you have digimon and what are 'tamers'?"

Ruki spat. "Why should we tell you?"

Merodi narrowed her eyes more. "You have no idea who I am, do you? I'm Princess Crest, the future ruler of the digital world!" she said, her voice seemed to mature, replacing the Tsukino Usagi-like voice. Ruki gave a little gasp.

'Princess Crest? That was in Vanessa's fanfiction! Demo.... are we in her world? Wouldn't she be here too?' questions raced through Ruki's mind, but she knew better to speak aloud.

"Fine, we'll tell you. I'm Makino Ruki. That's Matsuda Takato" Ruki said pointing over to Takato. Takato got the hint to say evreyon else's names.

"I'm Matsuda Takato, that's Lee Jenrya, Lee Shuichon, that's Katou Juri, that's Shiota Hirokazu, Akiyama Ryou, and Kitagawa Kenta" Guilmon tugged at Takato's shirt.

"Can I say who I am, Takato?" he asked, acting as innocent as ever.

"KAWAII!" cried out Merodi and hugged Guilmon, like Juri did when she first saw him. Ruki sweatdropped. This girl went from serious, to girly-girl like.

"I'm Guilmon" Merodi thought a moment.

"Strange, never heard of a digimon like that. Well anyway" she turned towards the others. Who are you?

"Gaurdromon at your service!"

"Pi pa Papipapepon(I am MarineAngemon)"(Note: MarineAngemon uses the five "p" sylabols, so I'm gonna use that to)

"Renamon"

"I'm Monodramon"

Lopmon bowed. "Lopmon. Nice to meet you!"

"You've heard of me? Kakoii! I'm famous!" cheered Terriermon. Jenrya sweatdropped.

"Te-Terriermon" Culumon flew around.

"Who are you, kuru?" Again, Merodi squealed "kawaii".

"Culumon kuru?" She looked towards Juri.

"What about Katou-san?" Juri was silent. Merodi closed her eyes and searched in Juri's mind, with the help of her psychic powers.

"Souka, you don't want to talk about it, do you?" Merodi said. Juri nodded slowly.

"Let's at least figure out where we're gonna stay" said Ryou.

"I can take Makino and Matsuda-san. Ken, you take Akiyama-san. Goguru Atama, get Shiota-san and Kitagawa-san. Miyako, you get Katou-san. Koushirou-san, you take Lee-san and Lee-chan. That's evreyone, right?" said Merodi. The Tamers nodded. "Okay, you guys have a lot of explaining to do. Evreyone come to my apartment tommorow for the meeting." She then remembered something.

"Ah! I forgot to tell you our names! I'm...."

"Yagami Merodi, I know. We know evreyone's name" said Ruki. Merodi didn't ask anything more, she could tell that the Tamers wern't telling evreything. They split up and went home.

"Makino, what is the D-reaper?" asked Merodi.

Ruki sighed. "Call me Ruki, please. Not Ruki-CHAN, just Ruki. And I can't explain the D-reaper well....." she stopped and saw something ahead, some sort of fog.

"Digitaru Feild!" she cried out and put her sunglasses on. Takato put on his goggles.

"Ikuyo, Renamon/Guilmon!" they said at the same time and they ran into the fog.

"Matte o!" Merodi cried out. She turned to Hikari and Taichi, and nodded.
"Let's go, Efuimon" her digimon came out of her back pack.

"I'm ten steps ahead of you!" she replied and they both took off.

"MarineDevimon, virus, a perfection! Attacks are Guilty Black and Preassure" Ruki read the data for the digimon that was before them.

"We should get him easily, Renamon?" Renamon stepped forward. Ruki took out the blue card and spun it in her fingers. "Let's play!"

"Takato...." Guilmon growled, his eyes feral. Takato nodded.

"Card slash! Matrix Evolution!" They cried at the same time.

"Guilmon evolve! Growmon! Growmon evolve! MegaloGrowmon!"

"Renamon evolve! Kyuubimon! Kyuubimon evolve! Taomon!" Merodi got there right when they card slashed and evolved.

"Sugoi...." she whispred. She took out her D-3. "You heard Ruki, let's play Efuimon!" Efuimon nodded and ran into the battle. Merodi's purple D-3 glowed a rainbow color.

"Efuimon evolve! Suicunamon!" Suicunamon growled at Marine Devimon. Ruki looked towards Merodi, and smirked.

"We've got it handled 'Princess'. Taomon, show her what to do"

"Fox seal paper!" the wards came from her sleeve and hit Marine Devimon, slowing him down a tad.

"Double edge!" cried Takato and MegaloGrowmon before he slashed at MarineDevimon.

"Suicunamon, it's time to become perfect!" Merodi said before holding out her D-3.

"Suicunamon evolve! MetalSuicunamon!" The crests on her armor started to glow. "Crest beam!" The crests shot from there places and merged to one beam, hitting MarineDevimon in the chest.

"Bingo!" cried out Merodi. She took out her laptop in her backpack, but Marine Devimon hit it away with one of his tentacles.

"You won't beat me that easily! Guilty Black!" he spat oil from his mouth and hit MetalSuicunamon sqaurely in the eyes.

"We'll handle it, Atomic Blaster!" Takato cried out before Merodi had the chance to get the laptop.

"Buddist paint brush!" Taomon took our her brush and painted the symbol while MegaloGrowmon's chest blasters filled with energy. They both fired at the same time and hit MarineDevimon through the stomach. His data was slowly seeping away. He grinned.

"You may have won this time, but the battle is far from over, Tamers! My masters shall reign over you pitiful humans!" he cried out before he dissapeared.

"Absorb his data Taomon, we don't need more wild one's" said Ruki. Taomon nodded and started absorbing the data.

Merodi couldn't beleive her eyes, so couldn't Hikari who arrived right when they deleated MarineDevimon. These tamers just killed a digimon without hesitating! It was cruel, unbeleiveable...... murder...... The Chosen Children only did it when they had to, but they could've easily sent him back to the Digital world.

"How could you?! How could kill a living, breathing creature?! It's.... It's.... We could've sent him back!" Merodi cried out.

"Look!" Ruki snapped. "That digimon took a full Crest Beam in the chest, and he wasn't evan destroyed! That was no normal perfect, not evan MegaloGrowmon's Atomic Blaster alone would do it! And you heard what he said, he said he had masters! We've had plenty of experiences with that! So don't blab about how we can't kill a living creature!" Merodi was surprised how agressive this girl was. Takato nodded.

"Ruki made a point" Takato agreed. Merodi turned her back.

"Let's go" she said with plain coldness in her voice. Efuimon, now de-evolved, looked up at her partner with worry in her eyes.

'Merodi-chan has no reason to be mad, my Crest Beams usually destroys my enemies, except that one. And that one had an aura of.... evil around it.' Efuimon jumped on her shoulder and opened the mind-link as they walked home.

"Merodi-chan, there's no reason to be angry" Efuimon said telepathically.

"What!? You're against me now?!" Merodi thought with anger clearly showed in her voice.

"Think about it Merodi, he took a full Crest Beam to the chest, and STILL lived it, much less still had power to attack. If we did return him, think about these 'masters'. Gennai said something about a 'D-reaper', 'Pasarimon', and Devilmon. I think the Tamers has had past dealings with these, digimon" Efuimon thought. Merodi closed the link and thought a bit.

'Efuimon has a point there....' She opened the link back up.

"You're right Efuimon, I should apoligize to Ruki...."

"Ruki, I'm sorry for acting so, rational. You're right, he was too strong for a normal perfection" Merodi apoligized.

"It's okay. Efuimon must've talked sense into you. Don't act surprised, me and Renamon have a telepathic link too" Merodi looked up at the sky.

'Who are you, tamers? And do we really have a new enemy?'

Ruki: Next time! The date.....

Takato: What about the date? Eh?! Ruki, why do you look so sad? I've never seen you this sad before!

Ruki: Takato.... Otou-san......

Jen: What about the new enemy?!

Ruki: It's just that...... Next time on Shattered dreams! Day of doom! Ruki's depressing day. Until next time!
