" Who are you and why are you sitting in a tree? " Daisuke asked the being calling himself Ken.

Ken smiled and leaped off the high branch. Daisuke winched for a moment, the fear of breaking bones from such a height, and blinked when Ken landed with ease.

" It's such a lovely day and I thought I'd explore a bit, " Ken replied.

" It's pouring out! " Daisuke said.

" I know! " Ken smiled, deliriously happy despite the rainy weather.

" O~kay… Well, nice meeting you, Ken, but I really have to find my cat before she gets sick, " Daisuke said, rather rushed and hurried off into the wet underbrush.

" Sway! "

" Meryow? "

" Here you are, girl, " Daisuke smiled and scooped up his cat. Her fur was only slightly wet and tucked her into his sweater. The red head rubbed behind her ears and smiled, " Now why did you run off like that? Can't have you getting sick on me, love. "

Sway hissed and Daisuke turned to see Ken standing behind him. The indigo haired 'boy' approached them and gently rubbed the bridge of Sway's nose, despite her hissing. Her eyes narrowed as she studies him. Ken smiled and said to her, " I mean him no harm, feline. "

The cat stared at Ken for another moment before climbing up onto Daisuke's shoulders again. Daisuke petted his cat, becoming more cautious of the gorgeous creature before him. Sway was a good judge of character, even though she was only a cat. He had found that out the hard way from Kari and TK.

" She really does care for you, Daisuke, " Ken smiled.

" Hai. About the only person who does, " Daisuke admitted.

" How very sad, " Ken murmured, cupping the red head's cheek and thumbing the warm, soft skin. He looked into Daisuke's eyes, " Because you are very worthy of being loved. "

A blush rose over the boy's cheeks and he took a step back. " So, uh, why do you like this gloomy weather? " Daisuke asked, wanting to change the way this mood was going. Sure, Ken was a very pretty boy, but the red head had outgrown his childhood naïve as to think that all things beautiful are good.

" Because I can only explore your world freely when it rains. I don't have to wait for a puddle to reflect the image of a full moon to open a portal, " Ken replied.

" This sounds way too much like one of my mangas, " Daisuke said. Still, this was kind of interesting. Better then his actual life, " So, you're like some kind of fey? "

" Are you a believer? " Ken asked.

" You aren't going to abduct me to some fantasy world if I say I do? " Daisuke asked, concerned.

Ken laughed, that delightful sound again and the red head felt foolish for asking. Ken brought his face close to Daisuke's, their noses and lips almost touching and whispered, " Only if you want me to. "

Daisuke felt his face grow hotter and something warmed pooled his insides. He was aware that Ken was drawing closer, tilting his head as if he was going to kiss him. Daisuke's eyes slowly closed and he could feel Ken's warm breath across his cheeks, Ken's lips just about to touch his…

Splish!

The sound of a hurried footstep made Daisuke open his eyes. Ken was gone and a jogger in a raincoat dashed by. The red head glanced around for Ken and found him gone. Daisuke flushed with disappointment, feeling mad and hurried out of the woods.

" I'm going mad, Sway. I've finally snapped. Funny, I thought madness would be more insane then this, " Daisuke said. He sighed, " Oh, well. At least he was a gorgeous illusion. "

Upon arriving home Daisuke found his 'family' home from dinner already. He passed Jun in the hallway. They didn't speak, Jun was too distracted by something and Daisuke entered his bedroom. He shut the door behind him and Sway climbed off his shoulders and onto his bed.

" Well, at least it wasn't a boring evening, " Daisuke murmured. He gave a start when someone wrapped their arms around him. " Dammit Jun! "

" I'm not Jun, my ruby, " came a purr in his ear.

" Ken? "

" Mmmm? " Ken replied, pressing his face against the boy's warm neck, dropping kisses.

" H-oh! Did you get inside? " Daisuke asked.

" Your sister left a rather warm puddle on the floor. She sure is an untidy creature, " Ken chuckled as he turned the boy around.

" Oh… " Daisuke left off as Ken pulled him into a kiss.

Purple Mist: Just to clear something up, because it's raining, Ken can pass through any body of water without waiting for a full moon.

Ken: Finally, some Kensuke action!
