Chapter 9 - Interval Escape

    Davis had just woken up, he was still lying down. He looked around, but alas, the ceiling wasn't much help. He sat up and looked around; again, he was on a bed, in a room, that was it. That too wasn't much help either, then he stood and walked to the window. Outside he saw a busy street, beyond that was a lively green park. He thought for a moment, he only knew two people that lived near a park. His sister and Matt, since the park near Jun was practically destroyed, he declared he must be at Matt's, he cursed in his mind. If he was at Matt's then all the other Chosen would for sure be outside that two-inch thick piece of wood. Since they rarely do anything alone, he was sure at least most of them were out there, too. He really didn't want to confront them, not right now at least.

   After a few minutes of watching the street-lights in the dark he finally decided to face the music, besides, he needed to hurry and get out of there to check on Andy. He walked up to the door and pressed his ear to it, he heard the voices.

Outside the door..

"Wait, say that again, he what?" Izzy asked.

"Izzy, for the third time, he digivolved with V-mon." Tai said again.

"But, but, but.......how?"

"Why do you keep asking me that?" Tai said in mock sarcasm.

"Since Davis is obviously out for awhile and V-mon had to leave for the Digital World, we have no way of knowing right now." Yolie noted, trying to get the two to shut up long enough for her to think. Davis finally decided to quit eavesdropping and join the party.

"It seems to me every-time I see ya'll, I always end up waking up in pain and not in my own bed, coincidence or something more." Davis said sarcastically, everyone looked up to see him, shirtless, leaning on the doorframe, Kari immediately jumped up and hugged him.

"Oh God, I'm glad you're alright, I was so worried and, and," Daviswas bright red, Kari looked at him, then she realized. He was shirtless, once liked her, and she was rubbing against him, just as quickly as she had jumped up to hug him, she was back on the ground, as bright red and the sun.

"Ahem, anyways, I need to go, where's my shirt?"

"It was bloody and muddy so I threw it away," Matt stated, thought it was unusual for him to worry about cleanliness considering the shape of the room they were in currently, "Take's got some shirts in the bottom drawer."

"What? Hey!" Davis was already back in the room before Tk could protest. Tk had moved with his brother temporarily and only just recently moved out, some stuff was left. Davis opened the door and walked out wearing a long-sleeve Corona shirt.

"Don't worry, I'll get your shirt back to you soon. Where's my, never mind," he said as he walked over to a table which held his keys.

"But, hey, wait a second." Ken said.

"Bye, I'll talk you ya'll later." He quickly got out the door, down the hall, and into the elevator before the others realized it.

   Davis sighed, 'that was close, too close. They can't know anything, not yet at least.....although I'd love to die and never tell them....like hell Genni'd let me though...... Speaking of which I got to talk to Him.' He thought as he walked to his car. He pushed the unlock button on his keychain as he walked up to his car. He opened the door and was about to sit down when he stopped and a huge sweat-drop formed on his forehead along with the most annoyed and pissed look anyone could have.

"Damnit I hate evil digimon..............." He glared at the huge gash in his paint over the whole hood. "That's gonna be a BITCH to pay for........ When I find the son of a bitch that's behind this I swear, I'MA KILL HIM!" Davis sat down in the car and started it up. Closing the door he inserted a cd labeled Ludacris - Red Light District and turned to track 4. The melody started, then the bass kicked in on the Subs.

   Davis backed out, still angry about the gash he had to look at all the way to Jun's house. The others were still upstairs wondering what kind of enemy had enough power to corrupt a Seraphimon. Davis meanwhile was speeding down the road still jamming to Ludacris. He came to a quick stop in front of Jun's house. He just barely got up the stairs before Jun swung the door open and had a look that scared the hell out of even him, and the poor squirrel on the railing who would probably never ever go out of his nest again.

"Where in the fuck have you been?! It's 3 o'clock in the morning, you said for a few hours."

"Was he trouble?"

"No, ugh! It's just!"

"..........."

"........."

"Ooooooh." Davis' face illustrated a cocky smirk. Jun's eyes narrowed.

"What's the oh for...........?"

"You were worried!" Davis smiled proudly and egotistically.

"Arrogant bastard." She said playfully dry.

"That's why you love me."

"I love because of the mini-you."

"Aww, I'm so hurt. Anyways, I've got a game this Friday and I need to-"

"I'll bring him to the game; you can pick him up then."

"Thanks Jun, you're a lifesaver. I Love ya."
