Chapter 19: Friends & Bullies

"Glad that you feel better, Kouji-chan," Takuya said looking at his koi before pressing his body into the dark haired boy his arms wrapped around him.

"Me too and I'm sorry that I kept pushing you away," Kouji said running his hands up and down his koi's sides, "it wasn't my intention to do that. I just didn't want you to get sick … I would have felt bad that you got sick …"

"My love is not good enough …" The brunette said pulling away, "I'm not worth ---"

Before Takuya could finish, Kouji struck him really hard across the face. Heavy silence filed the room as Takuya's face turned dark as he got to his feet …

"Takuya … I … didn't mean to ---"

It was too late; the brunette had closed the door and walked into the living room and laid on the couch pulling the only light blanket around him.

The door opened and Mrs. Right walked in to see Takuya laying on the couch looking slightly out of it and flushed. Walking closer she could see pain in his eyes.

"Takuya? What's the matter?"

The first thing Takuya did was rolled over on his side bring the thin blanket over his head keeping his hands between his legs to keep them worm. With a sigh, Mrs. Right walked down the hallway and knocked waiting for an answer.

With a sigh Kouji got up and walked to the door and opened it and to his disappointment saw Mrs. Right standing there.

"What?"

"Why is Takuya all flushed when I just walked in …"

"I … I don't know what you're talking about."

"Don't give me that," Mrs. Right responded then sighed when she saw that the dark haired boy's eyes widen somewhat, "Kouji … I don't know how my times I have to say this … Takuya really loves you and he thinks he's not trying hard enough …"

"I … I … I don't mean too … I …"

Takuya winced when his heard his koi crying as tears started to form in his own eyes. It wasn't long before he heard footsteps and stopped. Then he felt part of the couch sink in and a worm hand rubbing his shoulder.

"Taku-chan," came a cracked voice, "Takuya I'm really sorry …"

"You hurt me." Came a muffled voice.

"I didn't mean to Takuya," Kouji said showing nothing but fear in his eyes, "I didn't mean to hit you …"

"Not that," the brunette sobbed, "just feel that I don't try hard enough to make you happy."

"Of course you make me happy, Taku-chan," Kouji said softly as he laid next to his koi, "you're the only one who's ever really made me feel complete and loved … you showed me that being alone is not really the answer … you taught me how to make friends and keep them … you taught me that it's okay to be weak --- you changed my life ---"

By know Takuya was looking at him, his eyes clear as glass …

"You mean it … don't you …"

"Of course I do silly," Kouji said feeling tons better seeing how he touched his koi as he moved some hair from his face, "I wouldn't have said it if I didn't mean it …"

The brunette couldn't help but feel as though someone had taken the pain away. Looking at his koi, Takuya's eyes soften as tears came down his cheek. Concern flashed in Kouji's eyes …

"They're happy tears …" Takuya said seeing how worried his koi looked, "I … I … I had no idea …"

"You do now," Kouji whispered kissing his koi tenderly.

The blonde girl smiled when she saw the brunette and dark haired boy standing in line for lunch together. Looking closely, she noticed a spark in their eyes. Still smiling she thought it would be a good idea to introduce her self … turning his head Takuya smiled a little when he saw the blonde girl walk up.

"That was sort of rude of me that I didn't introduce myself, I'm Kasumie Quiver and you are …"

"Takuya and this is …" he paused wanting to say 'my koi' but quickly said something else, "Kouji."

"Well," she smiled shaking both of their hands, "I'm glad that you to are all right," and then leaned closer to Kouji's ear, "you better keep a close eye on Takuya or someone will try to take him by force …"

With that she straightened up and walked passed them leaving Kouji standing there bright red …. Who was this girl? And how did she know about them being lovers? Shrugging it off both boys walked to the back double doors to eat in privet.
