Digimon Fan Fiction ❯ Too many to count on ❯ The Boy, the Monster, and the Virus ( Chapter 3 )

They walked around the forest. When they heard-

 

“Go back to the beginning.” Something whispered, loudly.

 

They stopped in their tracks.

 

Sora turned around. “Who said that?” she asked.

 

“How am I supposed to know?” Tai said.

 

No one spoke.

 

“Bunny Blast!” Another voice said. Mimi gasped.

 

“That was definitely not a Digidestined.” Matt said.

 

Just then, Kari ran away with Salamon.

 

“Kari!” Tai yelled, and ran after her. Koromon followed.

 

“Where do they think their going?” Joe asked, running with the others to keep up with Kari and Tai.

 

They ran a little more, when they saw them.

 

“Hey, guys!” Izzy yelled.

 

“Is everything okay?” Matt shouted.

 

When they reached them, Kari and Tai said, “Watch out!”

 

A small boy fell on the floor. So did his Digimon.

 

“Kokomon...” The boy said, weakly.

 

Kari ran up to him.

 

“Are you okay?” she asked, lifting him up.

 

He smiled at her. “Thanks, Kari.” He said.

 

“Kari, you know this kid?” Tai asked, slowly.

 

Kari looked at Tai, and then back at the boy, hesitated, then asked, “Willis?”

 

The blonde boy smiled. “That's me.”

 

I'm so sorry to all the people who like the couple with T.K and Kari. - BG

 

It seemed like a romantic moment for most of the Digidestinds, except Davis and T.K. T.K and Kari were best friends, and Davis liked Kari.

 

Kari and Willis walked back to the Digidestinds group. They all said `hi' to Willis, and then, Joe asked, “Well, explain?” He pointed to some very tall trees, all ripped up, and on the ground.

 

Willis sat down on a rock. He hesitated, and then said. “It's a long story, so you probably don't want to stand.”

 

The kids laughed, and each got a rock, and sat on it.

 

Willis let his Digimon sit on his lap, and then began.

 

“Okay, I live in America, which is probably strange because I know you guys all live in Japan-“

 

“It doesn't matter. Go on.” Said Davis.

 

“Well, just a couple of days ago, I had this dream, about these four boys all fighting a bug-Digimon on the internet. It was eating computer Data. The four boys-“ Willis looked up. “Well, now I know who they are, but let's introduce ourselves later.”

 

“What do you mean, `introduce ourselves later'?” Joe asked, cleaning his glasses.

 

Willis bit his lip. “I mean, that the four boys were you.”

 

He pointed to Tai, Izzy, Matt, and T.K.

 

The four boys looked at each other in surprise.

 

“You mean us?” Tai asked.

 

“Duh!” Matt told him.

 

“Anyway, continue.” Mimi said, taking off her hat.

 

Willis looked back at his knees. “The boys eventually destroyed the evil Digimon, but a part of the bug escaped. The Digimon had been attacked by a virus before. The virus escaped, and tracked down the boy who created him, and made itself around, and into the boy's Digimon.

 

“My dream also showed a place in the future, where the boy got older, as a teenager, and tried to tell his Digimon to stop, when it disappeared. A boy and a girl were behind a fence, and watched. When he disappeared, the girl told him to come to where they were, but the boy refused, and ran away from them.

 

“Later on, I realized the boy was me, and in the dream, the boy who was with the girl, called her Kari. I never figured out what the other boy's name was.”

 

Willis looked up, and stared into each person's eyes. They were all shocked at how a small boy could have such a big dream.

 

“Umm... is that all?” Ken asked.

 

“All to my dream, but not all to my story.” said Willis. “Since the boy was me, I had the virus in one of my Digimon. I have twin Digimon, Terriermon and Kokomon. Terriermon was safe from the virus, but Kokomon was the one to be chosen. The virus turned him into a terrible monster.” He sniffed. “And now he's obsessed with chasing me.”

 

“I remember I heard someone say, `go back to the beginning.' What did that mean?” Davis asked.

 

“Now that I think about it, I think he wants me to go back to the Phoenix Island, where it all started, but everytime he tries to tell me, the virus drags him away. I know this won't end until he's destroyed, but I can't help it. It's all my fault not his.”

 

No one spoke for a while. Then, Sora broke the silence.

 

“But, how did Kari recognize you?” Sora asked.

 

“That, I can explain.” Kari said. “I had a dream also, which was when I was a teenager. I was with a boy, and saw the Digimon disappear. When Willis ran away, a Digimon named Patamon flew to see where he was going. Patamon caught a few words, like `Colorado' and `Willis,' “

 

“But who was the boy?” T.K asked.

 

Kari concentrated hard on what she saw in her dream.

 

“Can you take your hat off for me, T.K?”

 

T.K took off his hat, and there was some brown hair under it.

 

Kari smiled. “It was you.”

 

“So what's the big problem?” Davis asked.

 

Yolei hit him on the head.

 

“Isn't it obvious? We're trying to get the virus out of the Digimon.”

 

“But Willis said that in the future, the virus was still in the monster.” Cody said.

 

“Yes, well, I believe we're supposed to be CHANGING THE FUTURE!” Yolei half shouted at Cody and Davis.
