They walked again, and soon met the end of the desert. They all cheered and walked over to the boat that was half in the water.

 

Willis got in first. Then Kari quickly sat next to him. Davis and T.K jumped in after them. Yolei walked in and sat next to T.K.

 

Tai made a face. “There's no more room.” he said pursing his lips together. He looked at all the seats that were taken, not to mention the floor that the Digimon sat on.

 

Without warning, Gomamon Digivolved into Ikkakumon.

 

“Someone can ride me.” he said with an energetic voice. Cody jumped on and Ikkakumon turned around to face the ocean.

 

“Whoa!” Gatomon gasped, as she and Patamon went into a bubble and spun around.

 

“Gatomon Digivolve to… Angewomon!”

 

“Patamon Digivolve to… Angemon!”

 

When the bubbles shattered, they stood in their champion form. Angemon, an angel with a staff, and Angewomon, an angel with a bow and arrow.

 

“You can fly on us.” Angemon said, holding out a hand to T.K. T.K happily took it and Angemon put him on his shoulders.

 

“Kari?” Angewomon asked with her hand out.

 

“No thanks.” Kari smiled as she shook her head. She looked at Willis, then back at Angewomon and said, “Sorry.”

 

“That's all right.” Angewomon smiled. She looked at Mimi. “What about you, Mimi?”

 

Mimi looked more than happy. She took her hand and Angewomon put her on her shoulders.

 

Sora looked at Biyomon. “Biyomon, you're a bird.” she said, but then sighed. “But way too small to fly on.”

 

Sora's Digivice glowed and Biyomon went into a bubble.

 

“Biyomon Digivolve to… Birdramon!”

 

When the bubble shattered, a big, fiery red bird came out and smiled. Sora happily jumped up and down and climbed onto Birdramon.

 

Izzy closed his laptop and looked hopefully at Tentomon.

 

“Well, I don't think you can fly without dropping me?” he said, and at that instant his Digivice started beeping and it glowed, right on cue, as Tentomon went inside a bubble.

 

“Tentomon Digivolve to… Kabuterimon!”

 

The small red beetle transformed into a big blue beetle with a helmet on his head.

 

“Climb on.” Kabuterimon said with a nasal voice as Izzy jumped on Kabuterimon's neck.

 

“I don't suppose you can swim.” Matt said to Gabumon.

 

Gabumon shook his head. “All I can do is run fast.”

 

Matt sighed and walked in the boat.

 

Tai looked at Agumon. “What `bout you?” he asked.

 

Agumon shook his head sadly.

 

“Hey, Tai! Want a lift?” Sora yelled from Birdramon. Tai smiled happily and Birdramon swooped down and grabbed Tai and Agumon with her talons.

 

Willis pushed the paddle off the land and the boat, carrying Matt, Willis, Kari, Yolei, and Davis drifted off in the ocean. The others flew or swam out, careful of not going too far away from the boat.

 

After a while of silence in the boat, Matt put his hands behind his back and was just about to fall asleep when Kari's voice filled the air.

 

“How long have you been here, Willis?” She asked Willis, who was sitting next to her.

 

“Not long, maybe 2 weeks or something.” He replied.

 

“2 weeks is `not long'?” Davis said, laughing.

 

“Well, it doesn't feel long. Not compared to summer vacation at least.” Willis said, looking a bit annoyed.

 

“How do you know how to speak Japanese?” Yolei asked.

 

“Well, look at me. I'm Japanese, aren't I?” Willis said, pointing to himself.

 

There was another moment of silence. The Digimon kept rowing the boat, not showing any sign of weariness. Kari's head bobbed up and down, and then slowly rested on Willis's shoulder.

 

Yolei raised her eyebrows, and Davis laughed silently. Matt made a small mental note to inform Tai about this.

 

“Ack!” yelled a voice from above, and Matt looked up just in time to see his brother land on him.

 

The crash made the boat wobble for a minute, not waking up the sleeping couple. The bounce made Kari's hand fall on the other side of his body, making it look like she was hugging him.

 

“Ow…” T.K moaned as he got off his brother. He looked up at him, an apologetic look on his face.

 

“I'm sorry, Matt.” he said, bowing his head to his big brother.

 

“Naw, it's okay.” he said, patting T.K on the head.

 

Then he looked up to see Angemon fighting with Birdramon.

 

“How dare you attack me while I carry T.K! Angel Staff!” He spun around his staff and then attacked Birdramon.

 

“Ah!” Sora and Tai shrieked as Birdramon almost dropped them.

 

“Meteor Wing!” Birdramon cried. He put his wings out and then flapped them hard.

 

“Angemon!' T.K yelped as Patamon dropped down from the sky and landed on T.K's lap.

 

“I'm sorry, T.K. I don't have the strength to Digivolve anymore.” Patamon whimpered.

 

“That's okay.” T.K said cheerfully with a smile.

 

“This is going to be a long trip.” Matt said as Birdramon crashed into Kabuterimon.

Eh, didn't like this chapter very much. I just wanted to put some SoraxTai and KarixWillis in there. Well, next chapter'll be coming up soon!
