Chapter 10: Goku the Spy

 

A/N: Woot! A chapter so soon! ^_^ the inspirational muse has rejoined me at long last all hail the muse! *crowd bows to figure in the mists of my mind* lets just hope that this muse provides useful material…

 

Goku stared up at the ceiling of his bedroom thinking about the past few days in the feudal era. <I probably shouldn't have helped out with those fights, or the training, and especially giving Inu-Yasha the Saiyan blood. Sure it will help with the fights but I didn't think about what would happen to his descendants…> Goku sat up and pulled a history book out from a shelf and flipped through it. The feudal Japan section of the book was blurred an unreadable. <That can't be good> He glanced at the clock and it was 23:30 (11:30 PM) and looked outside to see the clear moonless sky and decided to go for a walk. Once outside he noticed fresh tracks on the ground <Looks like Kagome's and Inu-Yasha's> and went to investigate. He came upon a hot spring that was surrounded by reeds and found some discarded clothing <maybe I shouldn't disturb them…how old are they anyways? Kids these days…> Goku risked a peek and could see both of them on a sand bank in the middle of the hot spring in swim suits. He watched as Inu-Yasha bent down to kiss Kagome for a while before turning and walking slowly away, until he heard Kagome gasp audibly and Inu-Yasha asking her what was wrong. He returned to his hiding spot in the reeds and looked at the scene. Inu-Yasha's ears and claws were gone! His hair had darkened and shortened into what Goku believed to be a reasonable length. Goku looked closer and his eyes nearly popped out of his head, a Saiyan tail! He listened to the two of them talking for awhile before turning his attentions to Inu-Yasha's changes again. He watched as Inu-Yasha played around with an energy ball as if it were on a string attached to his finger when before it took all of his concentration to keep one formed. After they entered the water again Goku turned and left the spring heading to a clearing to open the time capsule. After the smoke cleared he jumped inside and started rummaging around until he found the interdimensional phone that Bulma gave him and pressed the call button. *ring ring* “Goku? Is everything alright?”

 

“I'm not sure, do you know when the government started keeping a family tree record?”

 

“Lets see…that was pretty recent, maybe one or two hundred years ago, why?”

 

<damn> “Are you familiar with the legend about an inu-hanyou and a miko?”

 

“A childs fairy tale”

 

“Not so, I met them here. The miko is actually from our time and uses a magical well to pass between these two times. How does the story end?”

 

“They defeat the evil hanyou and reunite all of the shards of the Shikon no tama”

 

“Is there anything about the inu-hanyou having children?”

 

“Why do you ask? Goku what did you do?!” Bulma yelled the last statement into the phone.

 

Goku cringed “I gave him some of my blood…”

 

“You gave an inu-hanyou Saiyan blood?!? Are you mad?”

 

“No I'm actually quite confused right now”

 

“*sigh* nevermind that, I'll try to dig up what I can find on the subject, though by this time all of the information would have already changed. Its dangerous to mess with time like that”

 

“Gomen Bulma”

 

“Just try not to drastically change anything else ok?”

 

“Right” Goku hung up and got out of the machine and capsulated it. <I should probably keep an eye on Inu-Yasha> He rose into the trees and flew to where he had last seen the two of them they were sitting on the sand bank again, Inu-Yasha had one arm around Kagome the other was holding one of her hands and they were looking to the east. The inu-hanyou's tail was flicking from side to side and occasionally brushing Kagome who absentmindedly pushed it away. Goku could see the smirk appear on Inu-Yasha's face and watched as he intentionally caressed Kagome with his tail again. She giggled that time and grabbed the tail firmly, but not squeezing and held it in one hand and gave Inu-Yasha a look. Then the sky began changing colors and the three of them watched as the sun rose.

 

A/N: Just tried to tie up some loose ends here. The muse was short lived -_- *crowd mourns over muse in casket* I mean it literally, it died *crowd cries as casket is being lowered into the ground while the priest is saying a prayer* its practically six feet under *crowd watches with tear streaked faces as the grave is filled in* I'm sure I'll find a new one soon…*all near by muses runs away*

 

I made a promise to myself that so far I have kept. Instead of updating once every few months, I'm going to post a chapter every Tuesday.
