CHAPTER 19

SCEITH SAGA

Zach: we are entering Earth's atmosphere.

Tyson: about time.

Lee: yes, time for some answers.

In a sudden crash the three are on Earth again. They step out of their ship in utter shock. The buildings are wrecked and mostly destroyed, the roads are littered with broken down and crashed vehicles the very ground is ripped and broken. Suddenly a grey blue flash appears before them and when the light dies and average sized alien with green skin and glowing eyes with no pupils, wearing armor of their emperor with the same bloody hand symbol on the right shoulder.

Zach: who are you?

Delta: I am Lieutenant Delta

Tyson: (whispering to Lee) he has the same armor as the others.

Lee: I know, this could be trouble.

Suddenly Zarduk appears in front of the three of them and launches a blast into the ground kicking up dust dirt and ruble from other objects. Zarduk grabs them and begins to run, not fly, run into an ally way down into a sewer hole. Finally after running for a good ten minutes they come into a large room with only one light hanging from the ceiling. When they entered two other people stand up and give them an awkward salute and sit back down.

Zarduk: welcome home guys.

Tyson: what the hell is going on Zarduk?

Zarduk explains their problems and the person they encountered as a very dangerous alien.

Lee: where's Lance?

Zarduk: probably sleeping.

Tyson: SLEEPING!

Zach: where is he.

Zarduk leads them into a room down a dark hall. Zarduk opens the door and they see Lance sitting on the floor instead of on his bead, sleeping. Zach walks in and kicks him over. Lance opens his eyes and dully stands up.

Zach: good to see you.

Lance: ……..

Lee: you okay.

Lance walks closer to them into the light and now his eyes are empty and emotionless and an x like wound lies upon his face. Zach takes a step away from him because his very presence isn't like what it was before. Zarduk forces them out of the room and closes the door behind them.

Zarduk: I told you.

Zach: he's like a zombie or something.

Tyson: that's no lie.

Zarduk: I don't understand it, when you guys died he transformed in anger. And then the kid died and he completely lost his will to go on.
