CHAPTER 11: MORE EXPLANATIONS

"Goku will be here a couple of minutes," Bulma told Vegeta, breaking the awkward silence. Vegeta was locked in the eye war with Marley again, possibly trying to intimidate her. It didn't seem to be working though. They were sitting across the table from each other, just starring, it was weird.

Then everyone heard a knock on the door. Marley and Vegeta didn't even break contact.

"Hey Marley!" Goku said cheerfully, slapping her on the back good-naturedly. She broke eye contact with Vegeta only to stare coldly at Goku. "Nice to see you're doing better, we were all worried for you!"

"Not all of us," Vegeta said under his breath.

Goku ignored this and sat down at the table next to Vegeta. Gohan and Dende sat next to each other to the right of them. Piccolo, who had come with Goku, stood behind every one, leaning against a wall. Bulma walked in and stood next to Vegeta.

"Anyway, I really wanted to thank you for saving Gohan. Oh, before I forget, Chichi, my wife, wants you to come over for dinner tomorrow. Would you come?"

"Sure," Marley agreed uneasily.

"Good!" Goku said cheerfully. "Now let's get back to business. I still have a few questions."

"I haven't told you enough!?!" Marley yelled standing up.

Silence.

"Fine," she said as she sat down.

"We left off at telling us you were a clone. Explain."

"Right to the point aren't we Kakkarot." Vegeta said laughing. "I have to admit I'm interested in who she is cloned after." He laughed on.

A smile grew on Marley's face, an evil smile. "Then this is going to be especially funny for you Prince Vegeta." He stopped laughing. "For you see, some of my DNA comes from you." Now it was her turn to laugh. And she did.

"But you're a girl, Vegeta's not a girl. I know!" Bulma's busted out.

Marley stopped laughing and wiped a tear from her eye. She looked around the room for a moment and saw everyone was looking at her funny. "I said some of the DNA. There are many glaring differences though. First I think you all can notice, I'm female. The General thought that if I was female, I would be more docile, easier to control. Another difference is I have telekinetic abilities, like Frieza. He was my original designer. At first he wanted an exact clone of himself, but thought it would be too much competition, so he made a clone of who he thought was the only other person to rival him, Vegeta. But he kept the telekinesis gene because he thought it would be a helpful asset. They installed a few more differences, enhanced cerebrum for increased intelligence. As a last resort defect, incase I was a total head-case, they made my tail my sensitive again. My physicality was also modified, as you can see I look nothing like the prince. I'm prettier." She smiled mocking him again. "But really I'm nothing like Prince Vegeta, his fighting abilities were just stolen and enhanced."

But Vegeta wasn't feeling well. It was too much for him. He simply got up and left the room. Every one heard a large boom come from outside. Vegeta walked in again and sat down. He had incinerated the guesthouse.

Everyone was still starring at Marley who was starring right back. She thought to herself, Well they asked. I wonder if they will let me go now?

"If no one is going to say anything I'm guessing I can go." As she turned to leave, she heard Piccolo start to murmur things to Goku and the rest of the group started talking as well. Marley didn't care she was leaving, now. She walked out of the house and looked at where the guesthouse had been. Can't blame him, I would've done the same thing. Now that's a sick thought. The night sky is so wonderful no matter where you are. Its time to get going. I'll get the Box and leave.
