CHAPTER 18: MORE DISCOVARY

Marley woke up with a pounding head and a memory of very, very pink lights. What is wrong with me? She ran out of the bed and to the toilet and began puking up everything she had eaten. Now she remembered little tube drinks, lots of little tube drinks. What were those? She wondered. She puked again. Marley decided that a shower might make her feel better.

When she got out, she put on some training pants and a black sports bra and walked down stairs for breakfast. Her head still hurt.

"Good morning Marley!" Bulma said that morning. Her, Vegeta, Trunks, Krillun and Gohan were at the breakfast table eating. "I hear you had quite an adventure last night."

"More like a nightmare. I feel so sick, and last night I remember feeling not right, what is wrong with me Bulma?"

Vegeta burst out laughing and had to leave the table, still laughing like there was no tomorrow. "Well Marley," Bulma explained, "Here on Earth we have something called alcohol and when you drink to much, this is the effect."

"It is awful, why do you do it?" she said, still a little confused.

"I'm not sure why, some people like it though. It wears off eventually, you should be fine in an hour or two."

"Oh. All right. Bulma," she said changing the subject, "I need to train."

She looked at Marley, "What is with you Saiyans and training? No I shouldn't ask. I'll make you a GT today. That should satisfy you."

"A what?"

But Bulma had already left. "A gravitron is something we use to train, it is a room were gravity is more powerful than it normally is, it makes you stronger." Trunks replied instead.

"Oh," she said. "Krillun, Gohan, I don't remember anything, well barely anything, about last night, but I have a feeling that I said some pretty stupid things. Is there anything I should know, before I make more of a fool of myself?"

Krillun and Gohan looked at each other and both said at the same time, "No."

She eyed them suspiciously. "Okay." She grabbed a piece of toast. "I'm going outside to retrieve my Box, I will be back this time."

With that she left.

"That was a close one Krillun!" Gohan said relieved.

"You said that right. You know, she really is more fun drunk."

Marley remembered where the Box was now. She just couldn't shake the feeling she had said or done some thing stupid last night. She landed next to the Box and picked it up.

"Marley," a voice said behind her. She spun around surprised.

"Oh, Kakkarot, you surprised me, is something wrong?"

"Yes." He said seriously.

"Okay, care to enlighten me Kakkarot, I can't read minds you know." She said, regaining some of her edge.

"I've been here for an hour wondering what that thing was, now you explain why it brought me here and who the Dark Man is."

"It brought you here! You heard its voice? What did it say exactly?"

"I heard the voice, it said that a Dark Man was coming and you knew the Future. Do you know the Future?"

How did Kakkarot always do this to her! "I'm not sure if I want to tell you."

"Too bad."

"Look, it really…I don't want to talk about it, it isn't right to talk about the Future. It could change for the worse. If you influence it, it may not turn the way you want."

"I'm willing to take that chance."

"Well I'm not," she said, her tail twitching in annoyance.

"Fine. If you wont tell me outright, can I ask a few questions?"

"You and your questions, I'm getting tired of them Kakkarot. It isn't something I usually do, I'm not sure why I keep making exceptions for you."

"The Box told me the Dark Man was coming. Who is the Dark Man?"

"I'm not sure to tell the truth. From what I gather, he was the creator of the Box and Key. But they made him twisted and he went crazy. I think his spirit haunts the places the Box goes, he is attracted to it."

"Is he coming here?"

"Oh yes, most definitely, and soon. That is why I'm so anxious to start training, he should be here in approximately a year."

"That doesn't give us much time." Goku said thoughtfully. "I guess I should start training again, nice talking to you again Marley."

He flew a couple of meters in the air and turned around. "Hey, I know you are staying at Capsule Corp., but in the mornings Gohan and Goten study, so I don't have a sparring partner. Would you mind flying over? I'd like to assess your skill level too."

"Okay, Kakkarot, but you have to promise not to underestimate me. I won't spar with you if you go easy on me."

"Good, I need a serious sparring partner. See you tomorrow morning!" he said cheerily and flew off.

Marley picked up the Box and flew towards Capsule Corp.
