Chapter Fourteen - New Borders

That's it. It's happened."
Dende and Piccolo had their eyes closed. They were watching what was going on on Earth. Piccolo however, couldn't focus his mind. He couldn't calm his thoughts, so the images were hazy.
"Piccolo, relax. You won't be able to see anything if you're in that state of mind."
"But Dende-san, I can't. I can't seem to focus."
"Use your meditation. Help it calm you, and then you can see. Don't worry so much."
Young Piccolo took a deep breath and concentrated again. This time he could see perfectly.
"I can see."
"That's good."
"But what to do? I haven't seen this creature before."
"I have." Dende said to the young Namek's surprise.
"What do you mean?"
"It's a long story, but I will try to explain it to you. 100 years or so ago, the ascendants of young Gokou and Vegeta were fighting an evil dragon called Ii-Shenron. He, and 6 others were evil creatures created from the negative energy in the Black Star Dragonballs. Ii was extremely powerful, and the battle was almost lost, but Gokou was able to pull through and win the day. Strangely enough, it seems Ii is back again, but I don't know how and why. Sad to say, but he is also much stronger. This is real bad news."
"If that's true, how can we stop him? I don't think even if we all combine our powers we can stop him. Dende-san, any ideas?"
Dende just groaned. He had no idea. What could he do if the legendary Gokou was gone? Could they really stand a chance?

Ii looked straight at Vegeta Jr. He recognized him.
"Ah, I remember beating you into a bloody pulp."
He then looked at Gokou Jr. He definitely remembered him!
"And Gokou...how could I forget you? You're the one who killed me all those years ago."
The children all looked surprised.
"How does he know your names?" G asked.
"Dunno. We haven't seen him before." Gokou and Vegeta told him.

Ii closed his eyes and then opened them again.
"What is this? You're much weaker than last time!"
Vegeta stepped forward with his fist in the air.
"I don't know who you are, and how you know our names. Maybe you're referring to our grand ancestors, but we are not weaklings!"
Ii was surprised. He then realized that they were young children, not adults, and he was gone for a good long time. It slipped his mind that they might have died years ago. Ii smiled. What luck!
"I came for revenge against those two, especially that Gokou. It slipped my mind that they may be gone, but I can take revenge by defeating their descendants. Are you all Saiya-jins?"
"Most of us." Hazell told him.
"Can you all fight?"
"The majority of us, but some cannot. Just a waste of talent." Vegeta said. He was directing that comment at his cousin, G. G smiled.
"Little faith Vegeta."
The two exchanged a stare, but they were cut short by Ii.
"Interesting. Officially today, I will kill off all Saiya-jins and then take over the universe! Ii will strike back and take what's his!"
The children were shocked, and they knew they couldn't do anything.

"You're just a monster!"
It was Pastri. She was sitting with Nion on the rubble. They were watching the conversation progress.
They were on the other side of the hall when Ii attacked. Ii looked at Pastri and Nion.
"You both are Saiya-jins too?"
"We are."
"More to kill!"
Ii began laughing very loud. He was very happy. What great timing to seek revenge! The ground started to shake as Ii charged up a blast and threw it at them. They all jumped out of the way and coughed from the dirt and dust flying around them. People were panicking, and Gokun turned to Linni and Hazell.
"We will try to stall him while you both get those people out of here. Pastri and Nion too. Now go!"
Hazell was about to argue. She wanted to help them, but she knew that she was no match. No Saiya-jin blood in her veins. Only human blood and unusually strength she received from her ancestors. She and Linni nodded and together they sprinted over to where Pastri and Nion were sitting. Vegeta turned to G.
"Shouldn't you be going with them?"
"I'm not going to sit down and watch. It's not like last time."
"Don't start again guys! There are more important things to worry about...LOOK OUT!" Gokun yelled.
Ii had attacked, and they maneuvered once again. Ii was slightly impressed. As the battle began, Linni, Pastri and Hazell were signaling the people to leave through the gates. Hazell told them to get into the buses and leave. Nion was holding onto Linni's hand as she watched the battle behind her. She was terrified.
"Are we suppose to go too?" Linni asked. She thought Gokun told them all to leave.
"I know. But...I want to stay and help them." Hazell argued.
"Can we even help them? Ii is powerful, and we might just get in the way!" Pastri told her.
"But they'll get hurt!!!" Nion cried. She could sense the boys ki getting low.
"Pastri is right. We can help some other way!" Linni said.
Hazell agreed. They had to think smart.
"The buses won't leave in time. They'll get totaled if they don't pick their the pace!" Pastri yelled.
"We're going to have to move them ourselves girls. There are three buses, and three of us. We can pick up a bus each."

The girls took a bus each, and to the amazement of the bus drivers, they were flying through the air. Nion was flying too, but she couldn't help looking back at her brother, cousin and their friends. She could hear them fight with all their might, but their power levels were becoming slowly depleted. Soon they wouldn't have the strength to even defend for themselves.

Ii attacked Gokun, the strongest of the boys, but he was flicked aside with no sweat at all. This was bad news for them. They knew he was the strongest, and if he couldn't do anything, how could they defeat Ii? The violent creature then turned his attention to Gokou, and after exchanging a few blows, Gokou was hit back into a wall, unconscious. Ii then went to attack G, and Vegeta saw this. Knowing he cannot fight, he sprinted for his life to stop Ii, but to his dead surprise, G began fighting back before getting hit across the floor. Vegeta ran to him and helped him up.
"Since when?"
G struggled a chuckle.
"Little faith in me Vegeta."
Vegeta watched as Ii took down Gokun, who at least successfully landed a punch into the creature. One by one, they all fell unconscious. Vegeta was the last to be attacked. Ii took his sweet time walking over to him. Vegeta was shaking in his boots. He turned to G.
"Listen, I don't think..." and then he realized, his cousin had passed out.
"Wake up!"
It was too late, Ii had smacked Vegeta and G into a wall. The young boy dropped his cousin onto the ground, and tried to hit back, but he couldn't...

Nion was still watching from afar. She couldn't understand it. Why weren't Linni, Hazell and Pastri going back to help them? She looked at them, and they were sweating. It wasn't that they were tired, it was because they knew that the boys were in trouble, and they couldn't go back to help them. They had to save the humans. Nion couldn't take it no more. She knew it was for her own well being, but she couldn't shake the thoughts of horror inflicted onto her friends. The visions wouldn't leave her alone. So without telling the girls, Nion snuck away back to the battle field.

Vegeta didn't land one single blow into Ii at all. It was impossible! He was far greater than Semi. Ii was about to hit him one more time, before telling him that he expected better from Saiya-jins, when he couldn't hold on any longer and was lying on the ground. He could hear Ii laughing, but he could swear he heard another voice shouting his name.
Nion?

Just as Ii was about to finish him, a great light appeared around them, stalling Ii for a second. Vegeta saw this and struggled to look up. All he saw in the light was a being with pointy ears walking out of the light. After that, he saw no more. Nion was also caught in the bright light. She covered her eyes, like Ii had too.
"What's going on?" Ii demanded.
"How low would you want to sink too? Beating up young children."
Ii managed to open up his eyes now. The light had died away. He recognized the face.
"Do you know who I am Ii?"
"Kaioshin."
"That's correct."
Nion watched the two talk, although she couldn't hear them properly. She was too far away.
"What do you want here? Here to save these weaklings? Give it a shot. You know I can kill you too."
Kaioshin looked from Ii to the young fighters on the ground. What a terrible sight!
"I know you can defeat me Ii. But, yes, I am here to save them."
Ii laughed.
"You couldn't defeat me before. You couldn't even face me. That Gokou had to fight me, while you stayed on your planet watching. You coward!"
"Maybe Ii, but understandably, I know when I am out matched, but you forgot one thing Ii."
"Oh?"
"You were here 100 years ago."
"Great logic Kai. Did you think of that yourself? I'm not going to let you stand in my way. I had overridden the laws of nature and with the new produced negativity which I acquired from Other World I am back."
"Yes I know," Kaioshin said, "King Yema was the one who informed me. The negative energy from the dragonballs 100 years ago was stored away in a jar where it was suppose to be cleansed, but you had stolen it."
"My, Kai. You know your history. How about you become a part of it?"
Ii charged Kaioshin. The purple being then glowed and paused Ii in his tracks.
"Let me finish Ii. You were here 100 years ago, and since then, I have trained to become stronger because I know that the greatest fighters of that time won't be around forever."
Ii struggled to get free.
"You know you can't hold me like this for eternity."
"I know that. You are much to powerful for that. I just want to buy those children some time."
"Huh?"
Kaioshin smiled and walked off to all the children one by one. He took them by transmission to his home planet, and then came back for the others. Ii watched on, still trying to get free. When Kaioshin was about to take the last one who was Vegeta, Nion ran out and tugged on him.
"You're not taking my brother anywhere!" she demanded.
Kaioshin was really surprised.
"You don't understand little girl. I am saving him, and the others from Ii's wrath."
"No you're not!" Nion yelled.
Ii then finally broke free and threw a large energy sphere at them, yelling:
"You'll never get away!"
Kaioshin saw this, and just in time, he placed his palm on Vegeta's back, grabbed Nion's hand and disappeared. Ii wasn't happy about this. He was about to become the victor, and the Supreme Kai turns up.
"You know you can't escape me. I will find all of you and kill you."
