Heart And Soul of the Saiyain Prince

There once was a prince who was very young and very energetic. He was the prince of a powerful race of warriors, the Saiyains. Prince Vegeta was not alone because he had a twin sister. The only thing he openly cared about was her. They were each total opposites but together they were the perfect warrior. She was his heart and soul while he was her strength and fighting spirit. This is not the story of Prince Vegeta because that has been told. This is the story of his heart and soul, his twin sister, Princess Regina.

Chapter Two:

Vegeta continued his training in the gravity room. More intensive training for some strange reason, Bulma thought. Bulma peeked in, just to make sure he was alright. His obsession frightened her and he never talked about anything but training.

Bulma loved him, though. She knew something had happened to him to make him such an angry person.

"I mean, it's just not normal to have so much anger." Bulma said to herself as she watched her handsome husband torture his body more. She was finally starting to get through to the prince.

Vegeta had been getting used to the family life. He was starting to let go of the past and he even thought it was time to just settle down. "I must be getting soft." Vegeta would mumble whenever such thoughts would come to mind.

Vegeta washed up and joined his family at the dinner table. "Kakarott's youngest brat, again?"

Yes, seated at the table, right beside Trunks was Goten, Goku's youngest son. Bulma gave Vegeta a stern glare.

"Is there a problem?" Bulma said icily.

Vegeta ignored her and just began to eat. In the middle of the meal, Gohan came in.

"Another brat?" Vegeta mumbled and received a kick in the shin by Bulma.

"Dende's calling everyone together for an emergency meeting." Gohan said.

"And what does the little Namek want?" Vegeta growled.

Gohan's expression was serious. "He said he found something. Piccolo's taking it to the Lookout, right now. I don't know anymore than that."

"So what do you want?" Vegeta stood and folded his arms.

"I just came to get my brother, but I really think you should come." Gohan did not back away from the stern glare of the prince.

Goten ran up to his brother and looked up. "I get to go to the Lookout?"

"Yep." Gohan nodded his head at Goten and he stooped down and picked him up.

"I want to go, too." Trunks ran over to Gohan.

"Fine, but if this is some false alarm…" Vegeta growled.

Vegeta, Gohan, Goten and Trunks all flew together to the Lookout.

Meanwhile, Piccolo landed on the Lookout with the capsule containing a woman. Dende looked at her. "She looks kind of familiar, doesn't she?"

"Saiyain." Piccolo pointed at the tail wrapped around her waist.

"Luckily, Vegeta is coming with Gohan. Maybe he can explain." Dende looked at the capsule.

"Like Vegeta would tell us. I wonder how long she has been in space?" Piccolo looked at the beautiful Saiyain woman.

"There is no telling but Vegeta is almost here." Dende looked at the buttons. "I wonder how we open this thing."

"We shouldn't press anything." Piccolo ran his hands over the glass.

"Now where is this-" Vegeta stopped dead when he saw what the Nameks were standing around. The expression on his face was priceless, no one had ever seen him so shocked in his life.

"You know what this is? Who this is?" Dende asked.

Vegeta landed and ran to the capsule. He looked at the lifeless woman inside; his dear twin sister Regina. "It- it cannot be. Where did you get this?"

"It landed not far from my cave, this morning." Piccolo folded his arms.

Vegeta looked to Dende. "Can you tell if she still lives?"

"Yes, she is alive." Dende answered.

Vegeta's heart raced along with thoughts of how this was possible. "Of course… it was indestructible. But how did you get here?"

"Who is she?" Gohan finally asked.

"Regina… oh, Gina." Vegeta collapsed to his knees, overwhelmed by the joy, yet sadness he felt.

Needless to say, the warriors were confused by the sudden show of emotion.

"Who is she, Vegeta?" Piccolo finally barked.

Vegeta was to busy trying to remember the buttons to push. "Why can't I remember? Fourteen years… come on! Dammit!"

Vegeta stared at the control panel and pulled upon the memory. He slowly pressed the combination of keys. The panel popped open and Regina opened her eyes. A panic came over her until she saw Vegeta.

"Geta, this is not Alexia." Regina said, her soft melodic voice entrancing all.

"I-" Vegeta's voice cracked as he held back his weak tears, "know. I thought you were dead."

Vegeta helped his sister out of the capsule.

"You're older… what happened?" Regina asked.

"What are you bakas looking at?" Vegeta snapped. "Get the princess a drink."

"Princess?" Gohan's eyes widen. "Do you mean this girl is your-"

"I am thirsty and hungry. If it would be possible…" Regina looked at the strange people, she knew they all had good hearts. "Oh! This is your son? He is at least seven! How long was I out?"

Vegeta shook his head, trying to shake the shock away. "Fourteen years."

"Baka! Where were you?" Regina hit him on the back of the head.

Gohan quickly stood in-between the two. "Dende, why don't you get Mr. Popo to make some food for the princess? Um, I'm Gohan."

"FOOD?" Trunks and Goten both get glazed over looks in their eyes.

"Yep. They are Saiyain. If this is your son, then this- he looks like Radditz, a little." Regina kneeled down to get a better look at Goten and Trunks.

"That is Kakarott's youngest brat. Where is Kakarott, by the way?" Vegeta asked.

"Well, mom, had him cleaning the kitchen because he accidentally set down his bowl too hard." Gohan shook his head remembering the huge crash followed by a thunk of the frying pan on his father's head.

"Kakarott is Radditz's younger brother." Vegeta explained to his sister.

"And Radditz?" Regina looked at her brother.

"I had the honor of killing him." Piccolo smirked.

"Is Kakarott like Radditz?" Regina turned to the Namek and stood.

"Oh no! My daddy is nothing like him! My daddy is the greatest man in the whole world!" Goten said honestly.

"It seems I have much to catch up on. Especially meeting your mate." Regina smirked at Vegeta.

"You aren't going to hurt her, are you?" Gohan asked.

"Why would I do that?" Regina looked at the eldest son of Kakarott.

"Because you… and Vegeta… weren't you mates?"

Regina began to laugh and that laugh was much like Vegeta's. "I am his twin sister."

"Oh!" Gohan laughed nervously.

"Geta… Frieza?" Regina finally got down to the question she wanted to ask.

"Dead… along with Zarbon." Vegeta said sternly. "We have much to discuss."

"Well, then, after I eat." Regina and Vegeta exchanged glares but then the prince's face softens.

Dende rushed back with a meal for the Saiyain princess. Regina's eyes brightened at the sight of food. And then Goten and Trunks went for it.

"Oh no you don't!" Regina grabbed the two kids by the scruffs of their necks, "I have been asleep for fourteen years. I think I deserve a little food."

"She's a Saiyain, alright." Piccolo mumbled.

"Trunks." Vegeta's voice rang out, making the boy tremble in his aunt's hold. "Go tell your mother to get a room together for Princess Regina. And take that brat with you."

Trunks obeyed and following him was Goten who was looking sadly back at the food. Regina made herself comfortable, finally yanking off the Saiyain armor. Gohan, Piccolo and Dende were all looking at the woman, shocked by her beauty. She wore a skin-tight jumpsuit like her brother but hers was crimson.

"This looks… interesting." Regina stroked her onyx hair trying to smooth it out. Gohan being a teenager took note of her curvature. She had the perfectly sculpted body.

"Where is that third-class baka?" Vegeta asked angrily, looking at Gohan.

Gohan blushed getting caught staring at Regina. "Uh, he probably- um… he should be here."

Dende tried to explain the food to Regina but she really didn't care. She was a Saiyain and she needed food and water because she hadn't eaten anything in a really long time. Vegeta knew Gohan was taking a interest in his sister.

'Well, that boy is part-Saiyain… that is the best she could do.' Vegeta thought to himself.

Regina ate quickly but much more delicately than Goku or Gohan, which showed her royal blood. The Saiyain prince was happy to have his sister but did not show it. Currently he was already planning on a mate for her.

Regina finished eating and looked to her brother. "Remember for me what happened so I can see it."

Vegeta looked wary. He hated to remember his past. But slowly he pulled at the memory of her ship being blown up.

"I told you I would not be hurt." Regina scolded her brother. "The capsule was indestructible."

"I figured that out, now." Vegeta lowered his head.

"I'm sure Vegeta had good reason to think you were dead." Gohan said innocently but received a death-glare from Vegeta.

"I do not need you to explain to my own sister about something you know nothing about." Vegeta snapped.

"What has happened while I was out?"

"I think it will be best if I show you." Piccolo offered. "I can tap directly into one's mind and show you the past."

"And you are whom?" Regina said standing and looking at the Namek curiously.

"He is an insignificant weakling Namek." Vegeta folded his arms.

"Oh, well then. I guess you can show me what happened. If my brother has titled you with three names, you two must be great friends."

Piccolo and Vegeta both showed their contempt for one another.

"It is true, Geta. You have always called those you care about names. How many had I received over the years? Baka… brat… midget… weakling… princess proper… hm… I must be forgetting some." Regina smiled at her brother, happy at his response of a scowl.

Piccolo walked to Regina and the first thing he noticed was she was at least a foot taller than her twin. He brought one hand up to her temple. "Are you ready?"

"I am the princess of all the Saiyains, of course I'm ready." Regina mocked her brother.

Piccolo showed her the past involving Radditz, Goku and Vegeta. He left out most things but she got the jest of it.

"Oh, Geta. Is that why? Why you are such an angry person?" Regina turned to her brother completely blowing off Piccolo.

"What did you show her, Namek?" Vegeta asked angrily. He had thought it was a mistake.

"No worries, now. With us together, you know what that means." Regina gave Vegeta a knowing wink and suddenly Dende and Piccolo got very worried. She was a Saiyain, was she like her brother of the past?
