How it all Began- Part 6

Krillin watched Zarbon land gracefully, and he and Tanya got into fighting stance. “You stay right where you are!” Yelled Krillin.

“He’s like a dream…come true.” Bulma said dreamily.

Krillin and Tanya did a double take. “We’re up to our necks in hot water and all you can think of is getting a date!?” Shouted Krillin.

“You think he’d go on a date with little ole’ me.” Bulma continued, in the same dreamy voice.

“Snap out of it, Earth to Bulma.”.

“Do you think he’s noticed me?”.

“Yeah, but not in the same way your thinking.”.

Zarbon looked towards them, mainly at the dragonball and Tanya. “Oh man, this isn’t good.” Said Krillin.

“Yeah, I know what you mean? He thinks I’m going to attack you and take the dragonball to Frieza. Well, he‘s wrong.” Said Tanya.

Vegeta and Zarbon stood before each other. “It appears that your little adventure has come to it’s conclusion Vegeta.” Said Zarbon.

Vegeta snickered at Zarbon. “And I see your bald headed friend over there has just what I’m looking for.” He continued, motioning to the dragonball.

Bulma pushed herself forward. “Have you joined forces with them?” Asked Zarbon.

“You who. Guess what? Green is my absolute favourite colour.” Bulma shouted out.

“Geez Bulma!” Yelled Tanya.

“Hmm, silly girl.” Said Vegeta.

“I don’t care about those two earthlings Vegeta. All I want to know is what did you do with the rest of the dragonballs. You can either tell me or you can tell Frieza.” Threatened Zarbon.

Tanya walked towards Zarbon and Vegeta. Vegeta gave Zarbon his answer. “I lost them.” He said sarcastically.

“Very funny.” Said Zarbon, starting to get annoyed.

“So then, transform yourself and take them from me.”.

Zarbon snarled. “You know perfectly well you can’t defeat me, unless you turn into that hideous green monster.”.

“Alright, now you’ve done it. You’ve gone too far this time Vegeta. For someone who looks like you, you have no right to call me hideous.” Zarbon growled.

“Oh, I don’t know. I think he has a point.” Tanya piped up.

“What, how dare you…Tanya.”.

Zarbon looked at his daughter, surprised that she would say such a thing to him. The three stood facing each other, neither warrior taking his/her eyes of each other. “So, I take it you’re both here for the dragonball Krillin has over there?” Said Tanya.

“Yes Tanya. Attack that weakling and…” Started Zarbon.

“And here I thought you were here to find me ‘father’.”.

“Yes Tanya, I am. Once we get the dragonballs, we can take them back to Frieza and he’ll free us.”.

“Did he actually say that father? Or are you trying to trick me again?”.

Zarbon looked at his daughter in shock. She’d seen right through his act and she wasn’t going to help him. “Tanya, I’m your father. I order you to get that dragonball!” He cried desperately.

“No father. You see, I have my own plans for the dragonballs, and these ‘weaklings’ as you so nicely put it, have offered to help me. So you see, neither you or Vegeta will get the dragonballs, as long as I’m here.” Said Tanya bravely.

“Really Tanya. Well, I’d like to see you try and stop me.” Said Vegeta.

“Oh, you will Vegeta. You may be my friend, but when it comes to this, I will fight you. But I see you and Zarbon have unfinished business to attend to. I’ll fight whoever’s left standing.”.

Tanya walked back over to Krillin and Bulma and took a seat on a nearby rock. “Tanya, what are you doing?” Asked Krillin, completely panic stricken at this point.

“Vegeta is a lot stronger than the last time he fought my father.” Said Tanya.

“Were they the two power levels that you and Gohan sensed earlier?” Asked Bulma, finally out of her dream state.

“Yes, and my father over powered Vegeta. But this time will be different. From what I gather, Zarbon had to transform last time to beat Vegeta. If Vegeta was so badly beaten, and if he’s recovered enough, he’ll be stronger than my father in his transformed state. My father will lose this battle.”.

“But, if your dad doesn’t win. Then what hope do you have?” Asked Krillin.

“In my normal form, I’m as strong as my father in his transformed state. How strong do you think I’d be if I transformed?”.

Krillin’s eyes widened in shock and Bulma nearly fainted. “You can transform too?” Krillin asked.

“Yes, I can turn into a tiger warrior. According to my father, the tiger warrior is rare among his people and only people who the tiger god thinks is worthy enough, gets the power of the tiger. Now, watch the fight. If I’m right, you’ll see my tiger power soon enough.” Said Tanya, leaning into the rock to watch the fight.

Krillin, still trying to digest what he’d just heard, did the same. “Well Zarbon, it seems the inevitable has happed Zarbon. Your own flesh and blood has turned her back on you, and I have to say, it’s about damn time.” Vegeta snickered.

Zarbon said nothing. “Well Zarbon, you came to catch me by force, did you not.” Vegeta continued, getting into fighting stance.

Zarbon growled and then launched into a full attack. Vegeta easily dodged the side kick from Zarbon, but Zarbon swung his leg around, which Vegeta easily ducked away from. Vegeta flew up into the air, with Zarbon close behind. Vegeta powered up and rained energy spheres down at Zarbon, who was only just dodging them himself. The blasts were just missing the group on the ground. “Tanya, is it time!” Yelled Krillin.

“Wait…My father’s getting desperate. He’ll transform soon.” Tanya yelled back.

“But…we’ll be killed…C’mon, let’s get outta here!”.

Krillin grabbed Bulma’s arm. “Going somewhere!” Vegeta yelled down, firing blasts at the escaping Krillin and Bulma.

“Krillin, behind you!” Tanya yelled.

She flew after Krillin and pulled him and Bulma back, Vegeta’s blasts missing them by centimetres. “Now do you see why I told you to wait. Vegeta’s not going to let you escape.” Said Tanya.

The tiny distraction was enough to let Zarbon gain the upper hand. “It’s lights out hot shot!” Yelled Zarbon, aiming a ki blast right at Vegeta’s face.

Vegeta missed it only to be punched in the face moments later. Zarbon raced at him, but Vegeta evaded him and gave him a double fisted punch to his back, sending him to the ground. Zarbon landed on his hands and knees, Vegeta landing shortly after him.

~~~Zarbon Flashback.~~~
“Stop apologising and get your act together. You’re a disgrace of a warrior, you don’t deserve to be near me. Like I said.”.

Frieza lifted his tail to reveal shattered floor beneath it. “You have one hour.”.
~~~End of flashback.~~~

“This is just to easy. I never thought you could be this weak Zarbon.”.

Vegeta was goading. Zarbon looked up as Vegeta floated into the air. Zarbon suddenly laughed. “Here he goes.” Tanya warned.

“Tanya, answer me truthfully. Is he really hideous when he transforms?” Asked Bulma.

“Yes Bulma, he is. The only thing you and Krillin need to worry about is getting out of here while distract them. Don’t blow it, we may not get another chance at this.”.

Zarbon yelled and his body began to swell, his power rising enormously. Bulma screamed, Krillin cringed, Tanya almost wanted to laugh. “He’s much weaker than I thought. I know my fight with Dodoria raised my power level, and to great heights. And I trained with Gohan for two days, but I didn’t think it did much. But now, I’m almost as strong as Vegeta. Which means my father is nothing, to either of us.” Tanya thought.

Zarbon’s aura flowed around him, as he took off into the air. “Krillin, this isn’t good!” Yelled Bulma.

“Now can you see your dream’s really a nightmare.” Yelled Krillin.

“No, this is perfect.” Said Tanya.

Bulma and Krillin looked at her strangely. “I’m gonna make this three way fight after all. Once I take out my father, I’ll have my attention fully focused on Vegeta. That’s your cue to go, find Gohan and hide somewhere.” Said Tanya, walking forward.

“But what about you?” Asked Krillin.

“Don’t worry. I’ll find you.”.

Tanya walked forward. Krillin nodded, understanding completely what Tanya had to do. “Bulma, run inside the cave and get some supplies. We need to be ready to move.” Said Krillin.

“OK, I’ll be right back.” Said Bulma, running inside the cave.

Tanya walked towards the battle field. Vegeta had been the aggressor so far, he wasn’t injured and he looked like he was having the time of his life. Zarbon on the other hand was battered, bruised and not having any type of fun. His chest was bleeding and his armour was ruined. “GIVE IT UP, OR ELSE!” Shouted Zarbon.

“Yes, or else what Zarbon? Because I’m just starting to get warmed up.” Taunted Vegeta.

“I see you’ve forgotten how easily I beat you last time.”.

“You may think it’s that simple but you underestimate the power of a saiyan.”.

Zarbon snarled. “If you have any last requests Zarbon, speak now or forever hold you peace.”.

Zarbon flew into the air. “What a coward.” Said Vegeta, preparing to go after him.

But Tanya ran up beside him. “HEY FATHER!” Tanya yelled up.

Zarbon looked at his daughter. “YOU WON’T HOLD ME BACK ANYMORE! IT’S TIME I SHOWED YOU WHAT I’VE BECOME!”.

“WHAT!” Zarbon yelled.

“It’s about time Tanya.” Said Vegeta.

Tanya grit her teeth and she began to concentrate. Her power began to rise within her. Vegeta moved a few feet away from her. Right before their eyes, Tanya’s hair began to grow and curl at the ends. It began to change colour from dark brown to ginger with black streaks. Her fangs grew longer and sharper. Her nails grew longer and became sharper. Her ears pointed out and her eyes changed colour, from golden brown, to emerald green. Her pupils thinned out into thin black slits. Her muscles bulged and broke her armour, leaving her in her skirt and crop top, showing her well defined stomach and abs. “NO! THIS CAN’T BE!” Yelled Zarbon.

“Oh it be Zarbon, she’s way stronger than you are now.” Vegeta said sarcastically.

“WOW! She’s incredible!” Yelled Bulma.

“I’ll say.” Yelled Krillin.

Tanya’s new hair waved around her as her power radiated. Krillin watched her with wide eyes. “Krillin, as soon as I defeat my father, I’ll start fighting Vegeta. When that happens, you and Bulma hightail it out of here.”.

“What where did that come from?” Krillin thought frantically.

“It’s me Krillin. It’s one of my abilities that comes with this form. Now I mean it, get out of here as soon as Vegeta and me tangle up.”.

“OK. Bulma, we gotta to at a moments notice, so be ready.”.

“Yeah, but Tanya…”

“Can handle herself. We’ll only distract her if we stick around.”.

“OK dad, what say you. Are ready to fight me and be killed, or will you be a coward and run back to Frieza, and be killed for failing him, again. Either way, it’s your funeral.” Shouted Tanya.

“WE’LL SEE YOU UNGRATEFUL LITTLE BITCH!” Zarbon retaliated.

“Tanya, do you want me to stay out of this?” Asked Vegeta.

“Yes please Vegeta, I like to see how ‘dad’ likes it when the odds are stacked against him.” Said Tanya, eyes burning.

Only she and Zarbon understood their meaning.

~~~Flashback.~~~
“Father, why!?! You said you’d protect me from this!” Tanya yelled, as Ginyu tore off her armour.

She was held down by Burter and Recoome. “I’m sorry daughter, but I can’t disobey my lord and master. Maybe next time, you won’t be so foolish enough to challenge him.” Taunted Zarbon.

“FATHER!! PLEASE, DON’T LET THEM…”.

Tanya was viscously slapped by Captain Ginyu. “Shut up, you little whore. Your father ordered this, so just relax, you might enjoy it. Jeice, you want to go first…Jeice.”.

Jeice was gone. “Oh well, his loss. Get ready baby.”.

“NO!”.

***2 hours later.***

Jeice wrapped Tanya’s unconscious and bloody body in a blanket, before picking her up and carrying her to the medical wing. “Was that really necessary master? I mean, I know I ordered this but, having 3 of the Ginyu Force do it to her. That’s a horrible thought.” Said Zarbon.

As Jeice walked by, he gave Zarbon a dirty look. “You got something to say, orange boy.” Asked Zarbon.

“I knew you were crazy Zarbon, but having this done to your own daughter. That’s low, even for you. Makes me glad I left.” Said Jeice.

“Well at the end of the day, she shouldn’t have fought Frieza and pounded him the way she did. Master has never had to transform to his second stage in a sparring match before.”.

“Well, it just proves that if anyone is going to free us from Frieza, it will be the angel in my arms.”.

“Funny, I thought you had to be a virgin to be and angel.”.

Zarbon laughed. Jeice looked at him in disgust, and walked away with Tanya.
~~End of Flashback.~~~

“IT’S PAYBACK TIME YOU BASTARD! FOR ME, FOR MY MOTHER, FOR ALL THE PEOPLE YOU HURT! IT ENDS NOW!!!”.

Tanya launched herself at Zarbon, claws at the ready, to make a full on attack. Zarbon watched in horror as Tanya rushed at him. Before he had a chance to move, Tanya had embedded her new claws into his stomach. He gave a howl of pain, but it was quickly silenced as Tanya punched him in his jaw. Tanya removed her claws and drove her knee into the wound. She slashed her claws along Zarbon’s chest, leaving 4 long, thin but very deep wounds. Zarbon fell backwards and tried to crawl away. “Tanya, please. I’m sorry, I should’ve protected you, I know…ARGH!”.

Zarbon stopped talking abruptly as Tanya drove her fist into his face. Tanya smirked as she heard the sickening crack of his nose breaking. Blood oozed from his nose. “TANYA! STOP, I’M YOUR FATHER!” Yelled Zarbon.

“MY FATHER DIED WITH MY MOTHER! ALL I GOT WAS SOME SICK BASTARD THAT HANDED ME OVER LIKE A CHEAP WHORE FOR FRIEZA’S AMUSEMENT!” Yelled Tanya.

“I HAD NO CHOICE!”.

“YEAH RIGHT! I BEAT FRIEZA, AND I GET RAPED! LAST TIME I CHECKED, YOU WANTED ME TO TAKE FRIEZA DOWN!”.

“Man, I never knew all this had happened to Tanya. Some father he is, I can’t believe I thought he was cute, what an asshole.” Said Bulma.

“Yeah. This is really important to Tanya, this is her revenge.” Said Krillin.

Then, he looked over at Vegeta. He was just sitting on a boulder, watching Tanya beat her father to within an inch of his life. Vegeta was forming a plan of his own. “If Tanya keeps doing this, she’ll wear herself out and use up most of her power. When that happens, I’ll knock her out and take the dragonball from the weaklings over there. But just in case baldy won’t hand over the dragonball, I’ll take that female instead. That way, they’re sure to hand over the dragonballs. I can knock Tanya out, but in her new form, I don’t know how long I can keep her down.” Vegeta thought, glancing over at Bulma.

“Hmm, she is a beautiful creature. She may be fun. Wouldn’t mind finding out?”.

He smiled wickedly. Meanwhile, Zarbon was on the ground, Tanya digging her foot into the wound she’d made on his chest. “Please, my daughter. Spare my life. I know I’ve done you wrong, but, your mother wouldn’t approve of this. You know your mother hated killing, she’ll hate you forever if you kill me. Did your mother and I give you life so you could take another's?” Zarbon begged.

“You should have thought of that before you let Frieza train me to be a killer. And how dare you bring MY mother into this, you have no right to preach about her hating killing when you took life at the drop of the hat!” Yelled Tanya.

Her eyes darkened slightly. “But you and I will have plenty of time to repay our sins in the underworld. Only, one of us will be going there allot sooner than planned!”.

Tanya gathered a ki ball in her hand and aimed it at Zarbon’s head. “Don’t worry, you won’t be alone for long. Recoome, Burter and Captain Ginyu will be joining you.”.

The ball grew bigger. Tanya ripped the circlet from around her father’s head. “Goodbye father.”.

Zarbon screamed as Tanya released the ki ball. Afterwards, Tanya kicked his remains into the water. She turned towards Vegeta and began walking towards him. “Alright my friend, I know you want to test your skills and I want to test mine, so why don’t we…”.

Tanya cut off as Vegeta punched her in the gut. “Sorry Tanya, but I’ve come too far to let you stand in my way.” Said Vegeta.

Tanya’s eyes widened as she watched her reflection in the water change back to normal. “How could…be faster than me?” Tanya gasped out.

“You let your guard down, so it was easy. Don’t worry though. We will fight soon my friend, and then you can have more revenge. For now, sleep. I want you at your best for when we fight.”.

He finished by pushing the pulse point in her neck. Tanya slumped forward and Vegeta caught her. He laid her down on her side.

“Master Frieza, we have word from the Ginyu Force. They are preparing to leave the home planet as we speak and should be here within a week.” Said the solider.

“A week is too long, but if that is what it takes, I will be patient. Zarbon should be returning soon, with the dragonballs if he knows what’s good for him.”.

Frieza took a big gulp of wine. “What about Vegeta and Tanya, my lord?” The solider continued.

“I do not think Tanya will bother us again, if Dodoria had anything to do with it. And once the Ginyu get here, Vegeta will be no match for them.”.

Vegeta walked towards Krillin and Bulma. Krillin stood in front of Bulma and handed the dragonball to her. Vegeta saw this and grinned. “Oh yes, I almost forgot about you two. It seems we have some unfinished business.”.

Bulma hid behind Krillin, and Krillin got into fighting stance. “Might I suggest the smart thing to do and just give me the dragonball. If not, you will be joining Zarbon, in the underworld.” Growled Vegeta.

“No way Vegeta, I’m not giving up that easy. I’ll defend this dragonball to the bitter end.” Said Krillin.

“So that’s the way it’s going to be.”.

Vegeta then noticed Bulma, cowering behind Krillin. He walked up to them. Krillin got ready to fight, but Vegeta pushed him away. He stood in front of Bulma and took her chin in his hand. Bulma was terrified, Vegeta was staring right at her. “Tell me Krillin, what’s this pretty little treasure worth to you?” Asked Vegeta.

“What?” Yelled Krillin.

“You heard me. Is the dragonball worth her life?”.

Krillin had to think on this one. Bulma didn’t like the way Vegeta was staring at her. His eyes had a strange glint in them, it almost looked like longing in his eyes. Vegeta grew inpatient. He grabbed Bulma by her arm and hauled her up. “Hey what are you doing!” Yelled Bulma.

“Until your very slow witted friend decides what he’s doing, you’re coming with me!” Vegeta told her, hoisting her into his arms and flying away before Krillin could react.

“KRILLIN!” Screamed Bulma.

“BULMA!” Yelled Krillin, as he dropped the dragonball and tried flying after Vegeta.

But even with his new powers, Krillin couldn’t catch up to Vegeta, and he watched helplessly as Vegeta and Bulma vanished from his sight. “Oh no, what now?” Said Krillin.

Then, he saw Tanya. “I better bring Tanya around first, then we have to wait for Gohan.”.

Krillin ran over to Tanya, and began trying to wake her.

“LET ME GO YOU OVER GROWN APE!” Screamed Bulma.

“OK, but before I do, you may wanna look down.” Vegeta told her.

Bulma looked down and saw she was very high up. “You still want me to let you go?” Vegeta said smugly.

Bulma looked up at him and shook her head. She looked away, with tears in her eyes. She hoped Vegeta wouldn’t notice, but he did. He felt a small pang of guilt shoot through his heart, but it was only small and it only passed for a moment. He saw his little hiding place and his 5 dragonballs so he began to descend towards it. Bulma didn’t notice, she was still trying to hold back her sobs. Vegeta landed and let go of the back of her shirt, letting her fall to her knees and sob quietly. “What are…you going to…do to me?” She said between sobs.

“I’ll keep you here with me until your little friends give me the last two dragonballs.” Vegeta said.

Bulma stared at him in shock. “Yes, I know all about your little plan to steal my hidden Dragonball. That’s another reason I came after you and your little friends.” Vegeta said.

“But what will you do if they don’t give you the dragonballs?” Asked Bulma.

Vegeta turned to face her with a scowl on his face, making Bulma back up against the rock face. He came up to her and knelt down in front of her. He put a hand on her face which kept her still. “Well, since it’s been so long since I’ve actually had a woman, I’ll make good use of you.” He said in a ghastly whisper.

Bulma looked up at him in fear, her blue eyes wide and her body trembling. But what she didn’t know, was that the sight of her fear was turning him on.

“Something’s wrong, I know it. I know Tanya told me to hang back, but I’ve got to find out what’s going on!” Gohan said to himself.

He powered up and sped back towards the earthlings hiding place.

Frieza continued to wait for Zarbon. “He is late.” He snarled.

“Yes sir.” The foot solider said fearfully.

“I knew it, Zarbon has failed. I should have despatched the Ginyu from the beginning.”.

Frieza called for a soldier to call for the Ginyu squad, and tell them to hurry up. He was going to get his dragonballs back one way or another.

Vegeta was sat meditating, Bulma was sound asleep behind the dragonballs. “I wonder how long it will take for them to hand over the dragonballs? The girl is obviously very important to them so it shouldn’t be much longer.” He thought.

Then, Vegeta heard a beeping coming from the woman. He walked over to her and found the source of the beeping. He rummaged through her pocket and found a very large watch. On it’s face was a dot moving towards the spot Krillin was hiding. “That must be Kakarot’s brat returning to cue ball with my dragonball.” He whispered.

Gohan landed. “Krillin, Bulma, Tanya.” He called.

“We’re in here Gohan.” Krillin shouted.

Gohan ran into the cave, and saw Tanya nursing her head. Krillin was bandaging up her ribs. “What happened? Where’s Bulma?” Gohan asked hurriedly.

“I got into a scuffle with Vegeta. He broke three of my ribs.” Said Tanya.

Then, Gohan turned to Krillin. Krillin knew what Gohan wanted to know. “Vegeta came. He came for the dragonball but when I wouldn’t give it to him, he took Bulma instead.” Krillin said, sorrowfully.

“But, why would…”.

“For insurance. If we don’t give him the dragonballs, he’ll kill Bulma.”.

“So, what do we do?”.

“What choice do we have. We’ve got to find him and give him the dragonballs.”.

“Not necessarily.” Said Tanya.

“What? You’ve got another idea?” Asked Krillin.

“Look, I know my last plan didn’t work. But if Bulma can hold out a little longer, we can train until help arrives.”.

“You mean my Dad?” Asked Gohan.

“Yes. Until then, we hang on to the dragonballs. Now Krillin, where did you leave Dende?”.

“At Guru’s. Why?” Asked Krillin.

“Because my ribs are killing me and I want him to heal me. I have to be in top form.”.

“I’ll take you both there in 2 days. Until then, we better find a new place to hide.” Said Krillin.

Gohan and Krillin put one of Tanya’s arms around a shoulder and carried a dragonball under the other. “You gonna be OK?” Asked Krillin.

“Yeah, I’ll be fine. Let’s go.” Said Tanya.

They flew off to look for another hiding place.

Bulma began to stir. She looked up and saw Vegeta holding her dragon radar. “HEY. Give that to me!” She screamed.

She made a grab for it but Vegeta just grabbed her arm and twisted it behind her back. She yelped in pain. “So this is how you located the dragonballs. I’m impressed you could create such a device.” Vegeta said as he twisted her arm some more.

“What do you mean impressed, I can create much more than that! ARGH! Let go! You’re hurting me!”.

Bulma was trying to pry herself away from Vegeta, it felt as if her arm was about to snap. Vegeta didn’t ease off the pressure. He liked seeing pain. But when he saw her tears and heard her cries, that annoying feeling went through his heart again. He eased up. “Don’t cry. When your friends come for you, I’ll keep up my end of the deal. I’ll hand you over to them.” He whispered in her ear.

“But what if they don’t. They know what’s stake, they know what’ll happen if they give you the dragonballs.” Said Bulma.

“They will, it’s obvious you’re very important to them.”.

Vegeta let go and Bulma ran to the other end of the cavern. “Why are you bothering with me. You could just go after Krillin and Gohan. You’ve probably injured Tanya so she won’t be much good. Why don’t you just go after them?” Asked Bulma.

Then a great earthquake shook them. They looked up and saw great red energy balls flying through the sky. “That’s why. Frieza’s getting impatient and is taking his anger out on the planet. I hope your friends are in a good hiding place.” Said Vegeta.

Tanya spat at those words. Krillin and Gohan didn’t ask why.
