Piccolo's Heart
Key: This is going to be like a play… most of my stories are dialogue anyhow. If a person is thinking it, it will be in parentheses. If a person is speaking telepathically, it will be in pound signs. The chapters will be dived by acts consisting of scenes. Got it? Good.
Setup: Piccolo has been wandering Earth for five years after Cell… trying to find his life's purpose. No one of the Z squad has seen him since Goku's death, not even Gohan.

Scene I: Kami's Lookout: Kim's Room (DBZ world)
Kim is on the crying into the pillows… she has been crying more and more often. But she has been happier more when she is with him. Her feelings have only grown being with him… her fantasy… now he knows… he'll probably hate her, now.
A small knock comes at the door, Kim mumbles incoherently into the pillows. Piccolo opens the door and walk in.
Piccolo: … Kim…
Kim {crying}: I-I-I- wanted to t-t-ell you but I-I was afraid…
Piccolo {sitting in his chair beside her bed}: So it's true…
Kim {looks up}: Y-yes. I will understand if you don't want me here anymore.
Piccolo {smirking}: Why would I not want you here?
Kim: Because I've made things awkward.
Piccolo: Kim… you are my friend… and what you did for me out there… was amazing… no one has ever stood up so strongly against Chichi… especially for me.
Kim: Well… she should have seen it coming… I mean telling me I couldn't stay here because of you… and saying you would rape me…
Piccolo: Gohan is handling it, now.
Kim: Gohan? But he…
Piccolo: Gohan has finally decided enough was enough… he has been using his father's death as an excuse for his mother's irrational behavior… but now… because of what you said…
Kim: God, I cause problems! {hangs her head}
Piccolo: Yes, you do… but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.
Kim: This isn't like you…
Piccolo: Another problem you have created… you have made me… act differently. I guess I have never been around a woman… this much.
Kim: Oh… you know… I can still leave… Shenlong can send me back if I ask.
Piccolo: There is no need… everyone understands why you acted the way you did… these people understand how passionate love can make you…
Kim {looking into Piccolo's eyes… trying to read his stone face}: That is not what I am worried about.
Piccolo: Then what is it?
Kim: Will you treat me differently because you know how I feel?
Piccolo: Depends… will you treat me differently because I know how you feel?
Kim: I guess not…
Piccolo: Then you have your answer, don't you?
Kim: Yes… then I guess I can stay.

Piccolo: #No. Nail, just shut up and no more singing!#
Nail: #Fine, but… look at her… you know how she feels… she has accepted you with all your many faults…. Our deal….#
Piccolo: #There was a second part to our deal.#

Kim: Are you just going to sit here, all day? We gotta get back out there.. People will start to talk.
Piccolo: Everyone has left… (Damn her and that dress…)
Nail: #KISS HER.#
Piccolo: I need to return to meditation… tomorrow we pick up training again.
Kim: (Damn, he really isn't going to act differently.) Sounds good… I have to get out of this dress anyways.
Piccolo: (Why did she have to go and say that?) {stands} Thank you for… stopping Chichi.
Kim: I just told her the truth…
Piccolo: Yeah… um… (I don't even know what to say.) {leaves}
Kim: (This is gonna be… interesting.)
Scene II: Kami's Lookout: Outside (DBZ world)
Piccolo is deep in meditation but cannot concentrate because of three things: Nail, Kami and Kim. Nail is badgering him with Kami trying to keep the peace and Piccolo is thinking of Kim.
Piccolo: #Please, both of you… leave me alone.#
The desperation in Piccolo voice made both Nameks silent.
Piccolo: #Thank you! I need to think… without interference.#
Piccolo: (She… is in love with me… how can she be? She does know me… and she still loves me? I don't know what I feel for her… she makes me act weird and makes me feel weird… I am confused.)
Kim comes out from her room wearing a robe. She stares up at the starry sky, not even paying attention to the Namek's presence, or his intense stare.
Piccolo: It is late… what are you doing out here?
Kim: I wanted to see the stars… before I go.
Piccolo: Go? Don't tell me you still have the crazy idea of leaving again.
Kim: I am leaving… I've learned what I needed to.
Piccolo: (She can't leave!)
Nail: #Then don't let her! Give her a reason to stay.#
Piccolo: It would break Dende's heart if you left.
Nail: #DUMMY!#
Kim: I know… but this isn't my dimension. I don't want to hurt Dende but anyone can see how uncomfortable my feelings are making you.
Piccolo: (What should I do?)
Nail: #Tell her how you feel!#
Kim: I miss my friends… and my family…
Piccolo: If you miss them, then you should return to them… but know this… there are people here who will miss you when you go. You have made a huge impact on all our lives… Dende… Gohan and me.
Kim: I will miss you, too. {runs up and hugs Piccolo}
Piccolo {blushes}: Just be strong… the dragonballs are right over there.
Kim {releases Piccolo and goes to the dragonballs}: Arise, dragon!
Shenlong rises, filling the sky.
Shenlong: What is your wish my child?
Kim: I miss my friends and family. I want to go home.
Shenlong: This is your home… your family and friends no longer know of your existence… you no longer exist in that dimension.
Kim {surprised}: What? I don't exist there?
Shenlong: To grant your wish I had to erase your existence from that dimension and replace it in this one.
Kim: So no one will remember me? No one will miss me?
Shenlong: That is what you wanted… that is what you wished.
Kim: But I…
Shenlong: Do you still wish to go back? I can try to recreate your existence… but you will never be able to return here.
Kim {looks at Piccolo}: I… I…
Piccolo {walks over to Kim}: You can stay…
Kim: But.
Piccolo: Do you really need a reason to stay?
Kim: I don't think I have a reason to stay.
Piccolo: There are many… but I guess I can give you one… because I have fallen in love with you.
Kim: WHAT?
Piccolo: You heard me… is it so hard to believe?
Kim: YES!
Piccolo: Get lost dragon.
Shenlong goes back in the dragonballs for his rest.
Kim {blushing}: You… love me?
Piccolo: Yes.
Kim {hugs Piccolo}: I love you, Piccolo!
Piccolo: Now you have no reason to leave. {looks at the sky}
Kim: What are you doing?
Piccolo: Looking at the stars.
Kim {looks up, as well}: Wow, a shooting star. That means we get a wish.
Piccolo: (I wish I could kiss her)
Kim: (I wish he would just kiss me)
Piccolo leans down and places his lips on hers and they share a perfect kiss; their first kiss.
