Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ Revival ❯ Three ( Chapter 3 )
Back in Hell, other Saiya-jins had amassed at the crystal orb that allowed its viewers to see what was happening on Earth. Not all of them wanted to be given a second chance because it meant giving up who they were. Not even half of the population wanted it and that spoke volumes about the Saiya-jin character.
A small group of Saiya-jins gathered fare from the rest. They were the ones who had agreed to Yamma's offer. One of them snorted, a tall male with black spikes that reached his ankles. "I can't believe I'm going to be doing this but if it means a chance to become a Super Saiya-jin, I'd even fuck Dodoria." he said with a sneer. The others laughed and the only female in the group placed her hand on his bare shoulder. "It can't be that bad. Even Prince Vegeta has adapted and he was one our best, Radditz."
Radditz grunted and crossed his arms, scowling at her. She chuckled. "Don't pout. At least we don't have to be reborn as infants like Avica and Kale were. Be glad they went first or we'd have it much worse. As they get older, memories from their past lives will come. I wouldn't wish my past on anyone especially a child. Just think about it Radditz, we're going to be getting a second chance at life! Who cares if we can't purge planets on someone else's orders. We'll still be able to fight and get stronger and that's all that matters to a true Saiya-jin."
"Celipa's right, brat. What better than fighting someone who is stronger than you? Kakkarotto and Prince Vegeta will be excellent opponents." A male added as he slung his arm over Celipa's shoulders. The female Saiya-jin chuckled and patted Bardock on the chest. "You just want to see how strong your son is and tell him how proud you are." She replied, purposely hitting one of the older Saiya-jin nerves.
Bardock growled and wrenched away from her. He glared at the smaller Saiya-jin and his tail lashed violently behind him. "Shut up! What do you know? You can't even have brats, you little bitch!" he snarled, his fists clenched tightly. It only took the look in her eyes to make him regret what he had said. "Damn it…I didn't mean it like that, Li."
She didn't say anything and walked over to her lover and Bardock's friend, Toma. The tall Saiya-jin shook his head in disapproval at Bardock. "Don't take any of his words to heart, Celipa. We're all just anxious to get the fuck out of here. You'll have children one day, I promise." He said softly as he stroked her cheek with his knuckles. He felt her shift and wrap her arms around his waist. "I hope so, Toma. I hope so."
Celipa wasn't like other female Saiya-jins. She adored children and wanted many of her own. A mission from Freezer had shattered that dream. She had been on a purge with Toma and Bardock and had taken a ki blast to the lower abdomen for Bardock. They had taken her back to Vegetsei to be healed while they went back to the planet with a squad of Elites. By the time she was ready to go back into the field, the planet had been swept clean of all life except the alien who had cost her womanhood. Bardock and Toma kept him alive for several weeks, their brutality sending shivers even up the spines of Freezer's men. That had been a long time ago and no one brought it up except for Bardock when she pressed his buttons. Toma sighed and prayed to Yasai that this didn't tear them apart.
-18 years later-
Kaali's chest heaved with each breath she took. She was sparring with Gogeta because no one wanted to get their ass handed to them. Unlike the rest of the fighters she called family, only she and Vegeta had bothered with tactical and technical fighting. What she lacked in power, she made up for in her ability to dissect a fighter's style. While her brother trained, she studied tapes of everyone sparring. When Goten and Trunks sparred, she recorded their every move on paper. Even when Vegeta and Goku went at it, she watched and learned. From her seemingly endless observation, she had created her own style of fighting, Vegetasenin, in honor of her mentor.
In addition to being a sophisticated fighter, she had the ability to manipulate ki into different and deadly attacks. While all the fighters were capable of this, she was more intune to her own ki, which made the manipulation easier, something Piccolo taught her. Kaali was content with her ki level but Vegeta wouldn't let her rest until she went Super Saiya-jin, a feat she really had no desire to accomplish. After many threats to cut off her tail, she had caved in and agreed to train. Everyone had abandoned her and now she was stuck with Gogeta…someone WAAAAAAAAAAY out of her league.
Her tail swung in frustration behind her. "Do we have to do this? I don't care about being a Super Saiya-jin. Can't I just go back to being the ace in the hole?" she whined, doing her best to soften the Goku half of Gogeta.
"What good are you if you're dead? You've managed to just barely avoid death too many times and we can't allow you to do that anymore. You will become a Super Saiya-jin or you will die trying." He replied sternly. Vegeta and Goku wanted her to show her true potential but she didn't have the drive to become better and stronger anymore. She was too enthralled with the technical sides of fighting, something that had nearly killed her several times.
The younger Saiya-jin sighed and got ready to take a beating. Usually when she sparred, ki wasn't used but that didn't stop Gogeta from firing several blasts at her. Kaali did a backflip, avoiding two and countered the other with her own blast. She landed in a graceful crouch and glared at Gogeta.
"Ka…me…ha…me…HA!" Oh shit! Kaali hadn't expected him to use a kamehameha so early and that was a fatal error. She used her ki to create a barrier but it didn't last for very long. Just when she thought her life had ended, Gogeta swatted the ki attack away as if it were a fly. He turned to face her, a scowl marring his features. "Get cleaned up. We're done for today."
Kaali frowned and her tail drooped. Without saying a word, she went inside Capsule Corps. The young Saiya-jin knew she had let him down. Was it really her fault that she didn't feel a need to get stronger? Maybe there was something wrong with her…like there was with Goten but he could go Super Saiya-jin. She sighed and began the slow ascent to the bathroom. Maybe she wasn't worthy to be called a Saiya-jin.
S.W.H Speakeths- I'd like to thank those of you who reviewed. The next chapter will have some angst and the arrival of Radditz, Bardock, Celipa and Toma. Yay! Please review and tell me how bad this chapter is because…it isn't my best. Higher demand means lower quality.
