Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ Revival ❯ Four ( Chapter 4 )
It had been a week since Kaali had disgraced her Saiya-jin heritage by not wanting to increase her power. A week since she had let Vegeta down. Seven miserable days of self-loathing and self-abuse. Kale had been an asshole about the entire thing and she had to remind him who was the dominant one. He was still in a Regen tank. Vegeta said anger triggered the transformation to Super Saiya-jin. But she wasn't angry. She knew how they all went Super Saiya-jin and yet, she was void of the most important element to become one of the golden warriors.
Kaali frowned and pushed herself harder, trying to find something that would ignite an inferno of rage. Nothing. There were so many things for her to be angry about and she couldn't even bring herself to get angry. It was like everything but the bleak emotions were non-existant. Except in her dreams. In her dreams, which were in fact more like nightmares, she was a whirlwind of destruction. Millions of people dead and there she was covered in blood with an arrogant smirk on her face. That had been one of the less graphic visions that had been plaguing her subconscious.
The most brutal of all of her dreams had been the one that held everything she needed to become worthy. To become a Super Saiya-jin. She was on some planet whose inhabitants looked almost ethereal. They were all stunningly gorgeous with shiny gold; silver or copper colored hair and eyes the colors of the most vibrant gems. Everything on the planet was crafted from glittering crystal. It had started off peaceful but when one of the natives called her a filthy monkey whore, all she saw was red. Everyone was killed more horribly than the first. These were peaceful beings and they had no means of defense. What was left of the once pristine civilization looked as though a horde of starving Oozaru had been on the planet. The buildings were nothing more than crimson-stained pieces of glass and there wasn't a single intact body left. Bits and pieces of those beautiful people clung to the rubble of their city. Then she saw herself. She was covered in blood and gore, her fingers piercing the top of an infant's skull. Laughing like a demon. And the scariest thing was that she DIDN'T transform into an Oozaru.
Kaali shuddered at the vivid memory. She hadn't dared to close her eyes in fear that something worse lurked in the darkest corners of her mind. Since that dream, things had started to make sense on why she didn't feel anger. If being called a filthy monkey whore had caused a massacre…what would the anger required to go Super Saiya-jin produce? She sighed and continued to train. Thinking and training didn't really go hand in hand but what else was she supposed to do? Ask Vegeta for advice? Maybe if he saw what she'd seen, he'd understand.
Suddenly, the Gravity chamber shut off and Kaali was thrown off balance due to the sudden change in gravitational pull. She muttered a few curses as the door opened. It was Vegeta. He stepped into the chamber and shut the door. "What are you trying to prove?" he asked, his voice neutral…dead…void of all emotion. It made the fur on her tail puff out and alarms were screaming in her head. In all the time she had known him, he had never been so…calm? She swallowed hard and met his gaze. "That I'm a Saiya-jin." She replied.
Her answer caused him to arch a brow and cock his head to the side. He started coming closer to her until their faces were inches apart. His black eyes swept over her before he looked her in the eyes. "You are Saiya-jin." He breathed, the tip of his nose brushing her cheek. Kaali's tail began to sway in a panic, still puffed out. Vegeta ran his hand along the length of her tail, curling it around his fingers then pulling away. "Your scent is Saiya-jin."
Whatever had gotten into him was starting to affect her. Her face was flushed and her breath came in tiny pants as he continued to molest her tail. Kaali stiffened when he wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her to his solid body. Vegeta nuzzled her throat, nipping gently with his sharp fangs. Then, just as suddenly as it began, it stopped.
The Saiya-jin prince flung her into the wall and folded his arms over his chest. His trademark scowl present. "I would never bed a weakling like you. You're nothing to me…not even worth the air I breathe. I regret ever training you. I should have put more faith in your brother. You're no better than a Tsufuru-jin, at least they can put up a fight."
Something deep within her broke, like a dam bursting open. A new sensation coursed through her body, fire running into her veins, filling that void. With a roar worthy of an enraged Oozaru, her normally white aurora began to flicker, alternating between white and yellow. Her dark crimson, nearly black spikes were swept up in an almost obscene point and turned yellow. Her eyes became a brilliant emerald green and an inferno raged behind those very eyes. Her tail also became yellow and just like that, Kaali had become a Super Saiya-jin.
Or so they both thought. As soon as her transformation ended, the memory/dream/vision of the massacre she caused flashed through her mind's eye. Blood pounded in her ears and she screamed, "LEAVE ME ALONE!!"
Then blackness. Sweet, sweet blackness. As she faded from consciousness, Kaali only regretted that she didn't get the chance to rip Vegeta's tongue out.
