Revolution of the Saiyans

Chapter Nineteen

Back on Earth, Trunks was watching the radar screen. "Mom, looks like a ship has just left dad's planet."

Bulma hurried over, having just finished with the Dragon Radar. "Wow." She remarked. "I hope it's not a slave ship!"

Trunks wondered. "Well, I'm sure dad won't let that nonsense go on now that he is King." Trunks smiled at his mom. "How much longer?"

"Well, it will be a few hours." Bulma reminded him. "Right now, I have some last minute details for the trip. I'll need your help, loading supplies." She said. "Not to mention Bra's suitcases."

"Sure." Trunks said. He continued to watch the ship as it ever so slowly moved on the radar screen. Then, he shut the system down. "Ok. Let's do this." He smiled. "It will take two days just for Bra's stuff!"

On the actual ship, Drais and his accomplices were making plans. There were approximately fifteen soldiers, plus Drais.

"Sir, countdown is at seven minutes." Perrin said.

Drais smiled. "Wonderful. We will be far enough away that it will not affect us." He stood at the front of the ship, watching out of the large window. "As soon as the planet is destroyed, we put phase two into action."

"Yes, my Lord." Perrin said smiling. "On your signal, I will contact Earth."

General Kelon saw the ship as it hovered. "You stay here." He commanded his men, even Vegeta. "I'll go check it out."

Vegeta was stunned by his audacity, but allowed the General to do what he was trained for.

As Kelon approached the ship, the door opened and lowered. At the entrance was Cierra.

"Sir, the ship is staffed and ready to pursue Drais." She said, saluting in proper fashion.

Kelon was stunned. "Very good." He said, unable to hold a small smile from his lips. "You amaze me girl."

Cierra smiled back. "Good. That was my plan, sir."

Kelon shook his head and turned, motioning Vegeta and the others to approach.

One by one, they boarded. "Is this ship as fast as the one Drais is in?" Vegeta asked.

"I'm not sure sir." Kelon said, quickly checking the controls. "I am not familiar with Drais' ship. It must have been hidden there for a while. Perhaps built to different specifications."

"How many are aboard this craft?" Arello asked.

"Approximately twenty five soldiers and six servants, sir." Cierra answered.

Arello smiled. "You have worked this all out very well." He told her.

Cierra stood tall with pride. "Thank you, sir." She replied. "I only wish to serve my people and insure the King's safety."

Arello and Niekko exchanged a glance, both smiling slightly, but remaining silent.

Domia took over the controls of the ship, allowing Kado to attend to the lesser duties. "Sir, it looks like we are just about ten minutes behind his ship. However, we are not as fast." He said angrily. "Therefore, for every hour we are in flight, they will gain an hour on us."

"For now, it is all we can do." Kelon said. "Whatever you do, don't lose that ship's location."

"Yes, sir." Domia said.

Niekko walked casually around the area. "You said servants were aboard? Would it be too much to ask for some cooling refreshments?" He said curtly.

"Of course, sir." Cierra said. "I'll notify the servants personally." She dashed off, anxious to please each one of the Elite soldiers.

Inside the kitchen area she found the various servants, already preparing meals for the soldiers. She was surprised to find Petra there. "I didn't think you'd come." Cierra said.

Petra shrugged her shoulders. "This King has shown me respect. Something that no other male has ever done." She told her friend. "It seemed only right that I should show him the same respect….and loyalty as well."

Cierra smiled. "I know this has not been easy for you….I'm sorry." Remembering as young girls, they had been friends. But, as they matured into young women, their paths took different roads.

"I always knew you'd be the strong one." Cierra said. "After all that has happened, you can still talk of loyalty to our King."

"Our new King." Petra pointed out. "Drais was nothing to me….may he rot in Hell when Vegeta and the others find him." Her pain was obvious in her face as she spoke. "I'd kill him myself if I could."

"If there had been a way for me to help you…." Cierra began, but Petra shook her head.

"My destiny was out of my hands, let alone yours. Don't worry." She smiled. "I will survive….just as you have."

They both knew that no female was ever considered off limits to the males. Being a servant just meant it was more openly discussed. However, behind closed doors, Drais took pleasure in any woman he chose. As did some of the soldiers.

"Right now, our soldiers need nourishment." Cierra said. "And you know I can't cook!"

Petra smiled. "That's the truth! Leave the cooking to me, you just do the fighting!"

As the girls laughed, they suddenly felt the ship tumbling. Every item on the shelves and in the cupboards fell to the floor as the women braced themselves, screaming.

Cierra crawled out the door and hurried, half running, half stumbling down the hallway, back to the control room.

Once inside, she saw everyone frantically working. Domia was shouting orders to the other pilots and both Vegeta and Kelon looked stunned.

"What's happened?" Cierra asked Kelon, hoping he would take a moment to answer a third class female.

"The planet……" he said, remorsefully. "It…there seems to have been an explosion."

"What?" Cierra asked. "How bad?"

Kelon's black eyes looked into her blue ones with concern. "Bad." He said. "As bad as it can get."
