Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ Silver ❯ The Burning Heart or is That Anger? ( Chapter 9 )

"Are we gunna land ANY time soon?" complained Vex. She had been tossed over Cell's shoulder and had been complaining for the past half-hour. Cell, who was losing his patients very quickly, kept quiet the whole time just hoping she would get the point through that he was ignoring her. Of course she didn't.

"I mean, the LEAST you could do is hold me PROPERLY!!" She screamed the last part right in his ear, making Cell lose what control he had over his temper to disappear. He stopped in mid-flight and dropped to the ground quickly. He then dumped Vex onto the dewy grass and started to walk off.

"H-hey! Where are you going?!!" Vex quickly jumped to her feet and followed him. Cell stopped and glanced over his shoulder.

"Leaving. What does it look like?" He chuckled before jumping into the air. Vex watched helplessly as Cell flew away, leaving her in an unknown forest. He was long gone before she snapped back to reality. Unable to control herself anymore she stomped on a rather large rock, crushing it as she screamed in rage.

"ARGH!! THAT ASSHOLE!!!" Blinded with anger, Vex started knocking down trees, stomping on more rocks and kicking boulders sky-high. Unknown to her, Cell, who was supposed to be gone, was actually above her, watching in amazement.

`Well now. That's what I call power. Hmmm…she could be very useful in a way, maybe make a nice sparring partner when needed.' He smirked to himself as Vex let out another shriek before calming down.

Vex huffed angrily, her chest and shoulders heaving. She let out big sigh before dropping down on a stump. Suddenly she heard clapping and looked up so see Cell hovering not to far away. He had an amused grin on his face. Vex narrowed her eyes, growling as he landed in front of her.

"Oh come now! I was just merely seeing what you would do if I left and I must say, that was quite a performance. You've proved yourself quite useful to me." Vex crossed her arms and legs, turning her head away. Cell would have laughed at her silly attitude, but decided to keep quite.

"Well, do you want to learn now or later? Perhaps you want me to leave?" Vex nearly fell off her seat.

"NO! I want to start now and if you EVER pretend or actually leave me again, I will hunt you down and kick your ass to the moon!!" She was face to face with him, with the help of the stump, her blue eyes wild with rage. Cell arched his brows, mocking her.

"My dear, you do know that will never happen?" Vex blinked in confusion.

"What the part that you'll abandon me or the fact that I'll kick you to the moon?"

"Actually I was talking about the part where you would hunt me down. You can't even sense power levels. If you ever did, would never catch me." He stated this info smugly. Vex clenched her fists, trying all her might to control herself, but it wasn't as easy as you would think.

Vex swung her fist at Cell's face, but he quickly blocked it. She let out a few more punches, which were also blocked. All the while, Cell was smirking. Vex surprised him by head butting him painfully hard in the chest. Cell grunted and backed up.

"I see you're not all that invincible as you make yourself out to be!" She jumped off the stump and sharply spun around, whipping him hard in the head with her slender tail. He shouted angrily, stumbling back a few feet. Vex stood there, her hand on her hips.

Cell watched her closely, thinking he may have made a fatal mistake at keeping her around. She was every bit different from him. From the color of her armor, to her feminine figure, to the rudeness of her actions.

He chuckled and said in that raspy voice of his, "We will finish this later. Right now, there is a village just ahead of us. We will begin there." Vex blinked and looked behind her.

She turned back around and said in an unsure tone, "How do YOU know?" He narrowed his eyes in frustration. That was another thing that set them a part. She was very difficult and stubborn.

"Do not question me. I know because I know. Follow me and I'll teach you how to absorb your prey." He walked past her calmly. Vex began to have second thoughts again. Cell stopped when he found that she wasn't behind him.

The blue Cell jumped slightly when she heard Cell whisper in her ear, "Do not worry. The guilt of killing innocent people will pass. That I promise." For once Vex stayed quiet and walked after him, just hoping he was right.
