Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ So Blue ❯ Powerful Jealousy ( Chapter 35 )
~~~~~~``` Chapter 35
Bulma's hand shook, holding the controller tight in her grasp so she wouldn't drop it. She bit her lip tight, staring at her husband who stood talking to Bardock and Radditz, describing what exactly would be happening. His eyes strayed to hers only for a moment before he turned his back to look out over the empty flat of the mountain, ships sailing off into the atmosphere, meeting with the others at the rendezvous point where his soldiers waited impatiently for their ruler to lead them to battle. Vegeta needed to be going now but he was to do this before leaving his mate in someone else's protection.
Vegeta turned to her once again, this time stepping toward her over the white marble of the entrance. She also took a step to him. The two star-crossed lovers gazed at one another before Bulma had the strength to look to the two nervous Sayians, "Can you guys leave us, please." They nodded relieved, going down the glass steps however not really knowing where to go. Bulma shyly brought her gaze back to his dark eyes, him never looking from her. She tucked her blue hair behind her ear. "You know what to do right?" He nodded. "I really don't think we need this, Vegeta. It's going to nearly kill you."
"It must be done. It is the only protection my planet has. Immediately after, I must get on the ship. Put the Regan Tank in it. I must get to my soldiers as soon as possible."
"Okay. It's all ready. All it needs is your power." Vegeta nodded, however did not move.
He was hesitant but spoke what he wanted to say. "I should have told you first. So you would not find out the way you did." She shook her head, reassuring him that she was anything but mad right now. He could see the fright in her eyes, and the worry. Vegeta couldn't help but smirk setting her mind at ease. Once he received her smile, he slowly levitated off the ground.
Bulma watched him fly up, his eyes not leaving hers until he was half way up the mile tall castle. She ran down the steps to follow his fading form, her eyes only seeing a tiny line in the middle of the red sky. Radditz and Bardock came up behind her also wanting to witness.
Vegeta steadied himself right above the metal pole, spacing his legs and arms, clenching his fists and thrusting his head back. The golden power of Legendary surged forward drowning all of his muscles in its glorious strength. His form bulged with the over powering force, hair transforming when the light reached it, the once black hair became a blinding flame of gold. Vegeta sighed in the pleasure of the amazing energy, his lids lifting revealing the bright teal of his once dark orbs.
He placed his foot upon the tip of the pole, bringing his golden hands to the center of his abdomen. Closing his evil eyes, Vegeta concentrated the beautiful power that possessed his entire form and pushed it to the center of his hands. His breathing quickened, sweat poured down his temples. He could feel the pressure forming against his stomach, already making it near impossible to breath. His hands shook as the power congregated all in one area, knowing that if one slip up or miss of concentration he signed the death warrant for this entire planet including the moon and suns.
His body was draining, the energy all leaving to that one place. He felt lightheaded and if not for his will alone he would all ready have given up to bask in death. He swallowed but the blood escaped to roll down his lip.
It was then he felt it. The total sum of his legendary power within his hands.
Vegeta opened his eyes, and with pure determination he slowly, cautiously lifted his hands with the light held between till his arms stretched high above his head. Steadying himself from losing concentration, Vegeta gradually extended his hands, the ball of power stretching wider and longer with each inch. His body shook wanting to give in to the mass of energy loss but he kept his attention on the light. His arms snapped straight out to his sides and instantly the pressure began to fade as the light grew into a dome encasing the width of the mountain.
Bulma squinted at the bright light, as did every Sayian still on top of the mountain. She watched in pure fascination while the gold grew longer before it dripped down like a waterfall in the shape of the dome. Bulma snapped her head to the Sayians behind her when she heard a quick crack and watched both of their scouters fall to the floor in millions of pieces. That was her cue. She quickly flipped the switch and gasped in surprise as the light was sucked down to each of the generators surrounding the mountain. The light soon faded and all that was left was an invisible coating that glinted in certain lights. "It worked." Breathlessly she whispered staring at the sustaining powered shell. "It worked!" Bulma screamed jumping in the air before bounding her way to throw herself in the arms of Bardock, "I told you! I am a genius!" Bardock awkwardly pulled her away smirking however in his own delight.
"Vegeta." Bulma turned to Radditz but he suddenly jumped into the air and flew fast to catch the falling King. Her heart clenched at the sight of his lifeless body. Radditz shifted the man, checking his vitals to make sure he was still breathing however when his hands touched the man's neck, his black eyes instantly snapped open.
Vegeta coughed violently, dark blood dripping down his chin, "Did. Did it work?"
"Yes, Vegeta-sama. It worked. Rest. Save your energy." So unlike Vegeta, he obeyed letting the pleasure of unconsciousness swallow him whole. Radditz dropped before the awaiting ship and hurried inside with Bulma and Bardock in tow.
Bra groaned. Her head pounded with a massive headache and if she didn't know any better she would have thought it was a hangover. She rolled on her back however cringing when realizing her hands where bounded together behind her. She snapped her eyes open panicky remembering the last thing she could. She saw the familiar walls and ceiling of the Computer lab where she had spent most of her life with her mother. What she was doing here could not be figured out. She looked around gasping when she saw her lover, beaten, bloody and unconscious lying next to her. Her brows knitted in worry though soon her hearing made itself known at the sounds of typing to her left. She snapped her head to see the lavender twin Prince at the half-circle office of all the main computer systems. He seemed to notice her movement and turned to her with cold eyes, "I had not thought you would awake so soon. Are you hurt?" Surprised by the question, nonetheless shook her head. "Good. Master would have been upset otherwise. Your companion did not meet the same fate. I would have killed him however he put up a good fight. I would like to spar with him again. Maybe master will let me keep him."
Bra went to speck but ending up in a coughing fit. Her throat rough and scratchy, she tried to swallow though her mouth was totally dry. "What are you doing?" She got out through her choking.
Trunks looked upon her in amusement but his features hardened. "I am trying to figure out how to destroy that Dome outside. If I don't Master will be very upset."
"Trunks listen to me, you don't want to return to him. He's an awful bast--"
"You know nothing!" Bra shivered in her fright at the rage in his blue orbs. "Master saved me. Taught me the things I needed to survive. He took me in besides my defects."
"And what are those?"
"My strength. The horrid transformation that I go through when I power up. Klooer explained how they were scared of it and that is why they sent me away."
Bra nearly busted out laughing. "You do not honestly believe that!" She cracked with a wide grin. His lavender brows knit in his anger. She quickly explained before he blasted her. "That 'horrid' transformation is called a Super Sayian, Brother. Father can do it. You were destined to be able to do it."
However his reaction was a shrug. He went back to his typing while replying, "Klooer said to listen to no one for all they do is lie."
Bra rolled her eyes, dropping her head upon the floor again. Her patience for this kid was running out. He was as stubborn as father and now there was no doubt that her blood ran through his veins. She looked over at her lover, her brows knitting once again in her sadness. She wiggled closer to him, lifting her head to nuzzle his cheek. "Come on, Goten, wake up." She whispered.
"Get away from him." Trunks barked scaring the female just slightly, her blue eyes large in her surprise. He turned from her, clicking away before grinning, "There you are."
Bra dropped her head to the ground, her fear of meeting Klooer rising within her. "They've been looking for you." She swallowed heavily through it did nothing to ease the pain. "For eighteen years. You know not the heartache they have faced in your absence. And now if you return to your master their pain will only intensify."
Trunks growled stalling only for a moment, "And what do I care of their pain? What of the pain that I have suffered?" He replied snobbishly before continuing.
"You mean the pain you were told you suffered. Klooer has been trying to destroy the Sayian empire for twenty years, Trunks. Do you not even think it is a possibility that he has lied to you?"
Trunks shook his head typing in his command. He paused before hitting Enter, turning back to his unbeknownst sister. "I would rather believe in all the words he spoke, then a woman who is trying not to die."
Bra rolled to her side, her head tired on the floor now able to meet his replicated eyes. "I am Sayian. I am never afraid to die. But I will fight till there is not a breath in me. I can give you back your memory; I can show your mate is alive. But you must trust me."
"How do you know I am that man you speak of? What if my memory is the way it was before? You know nothing of me. You never have. Why do you bother to bring my so called memory loss back if you as you put it, 'are not afraid to die?"
"Do not think I tell you these things because I care, for truly I do not. I despise you, yet for none of the things you have done. I have for the past 16 years of my life lived in your shadow. And you were believed to be dead. Mother and Father cared nil for me while pinning their love for their lost son. And now that you live, I will be literally cast in the shadows. I would be better off if you died, or did return to Klooer. However, the reason I fight for your memory is for mother and father. They have lived in hell since they lost you. I want their pain to end more then I want you to let me live."
"Why do they care so much if they are the ones that sent me away?"
"Because you were in danger. I have said this before. A war between Klooer's brother and the Sayians took place on Old Vegeta-sei. They sent you away to a safe planet but you never made it. Your pod landed on Earth but Goten here had said you had died. He was mistaken. We went to search for you but you were not on the planet so we had no reason not to believe him. When we left, Goten and his family came with us back here. Your planet is still alive. As is your adoptive family. And your mate. I understand you do not believe but I can show you. Undo my binds, I cannot run, you are stronger then me. I can show you your mate alive and well."
Without a moment's hesitation, "Do it." Trunks undid her binds and helped her to her feet however holding her close roughly, "If you are lying to me, your lover dies." He pushed her to the computer.
Bulma sighed heavily, eyes glaring down at her dress she now wore. It was heavy from the encrusted syntetic metal that she had created, a safty procedure Vegeta had forced her to make. Her stubbornness burned into her that she had given up so easily in her battle. She didn't even know how she had lost exactly. Nor why she actually agreed with Bardock. No one would find out. That son of a bitch, a.k.a. her husband, wasn't even here. And he would have never found out that she had worn dirty jeans and a ripped shirt when talking before her people. But Bardock insisted and even threatened to tell the King, so after their little battle she stomped to her quarters to change.
Bulma crossed her arms stubbornly over her chest ignoring the chuckle from the lead commander of Tele-communications. "You know Bardock, I could have you killed, so that trap of yours better stay shut." The laughing stopped but she could easily make out the mocking smirk on his lips. That smirk! Every Sayian on the whole damn planet must have mastered that stupid smirk.
Finally the ding of the elevator sounded after the sixty story drop. She had waited only a few minutes after Vegeta's departure to talk with her people, wanting to ease their worries and questions. She straightened her composure and stepped out in front of Bardock and her two annoying and persistant guards. Her blue eyes darted around the giant under-mountain stadium. Two miles wide in length and a mile high in width, enough to fit the three thousand children, mothers-to-be, and the crippled. Hundreds of tents were set up large enough to fit four people separately, all accessorized with entertainment, not that any Sayian ever watches or had brought a TV or Stero for their own homes, however major sparring was a no-no down here so a sad attempt to ease their restless personalities. Food also came with the capsuled tents but more was stashed in the side of the mountain for kami knows Sayians eat like they've never tasted food in their life. Including that they are the necessities needed to live under the huge pound of rock for at least a month.
Bulma nodded to the small children that dipped in a bow before quickly running off. Some stalled in their fright for seeing the queen of Sayians was a rare sight indeed and her color had always caused shivers up everyone's spine. She moved to the center, her two guards following her every move, she almost had the nerve to swing at them, wanting to be able to breath every now and then but instead fisted her small hands.
Stepping on the platform she pressed the button for it to raise her up above the crowd getting view of everyone. She gently placed on her small finger width microphone, for her voice could never reach the volume of Vegeta's no matter how many times he complained how loud she was. She turned the sound on the lowest setting, careful for their sensitive hearing.
