------------------------------------------------------------------------ -----------------------
Pan and Herro were walking up the small hill that lead to the cave. Pan was walking behind Herro, looking at his back. Each of the saiyens had thoughts buzzing in there head about eachother that didn't go away.
'I wonder what that demons name was...' Pan thought to herself.
Pan shook her head and got an angery face. 'Argh! I faced aliens, dragons, robots, the strongest humans in the world, and a weird clone thing, with an even weirder name, but I can't beat demons!' Pan thought, looking at Herros back. She got a look on her face like she stepped in dog crap. 'How come Herro can beat the crap out of 'em though? Well, that's easy to anser, the guy's a freakin super saiyen, duh!' She mentally told herself.
She looked at Herro again, and thought about the things Pookey told her. 'Poor Herro. I can't belief how heartless some demons can be... Well, they demons, right? The're supposed to be bad. So are those storys in cartoons, wrong? Are all demons bad? Pookey might be a demon... But I don't much about him, except that hes Herros "innerself".' Pan thought looking at Herro. Pan added green bunny ears on top of Herros head, mentally. Then learned it was a mistake. Pan had such a hard time holding in the laughter.
'Cute!' She thought to herself giddyly. 'Wait, did I just think he was cute?' She asked herself blushing a little. She shook her head violently. 'NO! He's a jackass, an idiot, a jerk, a hot-headed, an idiot, an uncivilised, rude idiot!' She mentally screamed. She looked at the back of Herros head, and blushed a little. The looked at her feet.
"He's not cute." She grumbled quietly.
Herro heard a small chuckles behind him. 'What's making her laugh? Ugh... I guess it's good to have her laughing at least. Wait... W-why do I care if she's happy? S-s-ssh-gh- SHE JUST A STUPID GIRL!' Herro screamed in his mind. Herro growled.
'F***. What the hell is Pan doing to me?' Herro thought himself in frustration. 'I never... felt like this. Why would I feel like this around her? She usally just piss's me off all the time, but I'm nervous, and calm at the same time, when I'm around her. It's so uncomfortable, but it feels so soft in a way. My chest hurts, but it fells... good.' Herro thought putting a hand on his chest. 'I... I-I don't like it!' He thought to himself glaring at the ground.
Pookey was looking at Herro, in the shawdows.
"Liar." He whispered, smiling.
Herro and Pan walked in the cave. Herro looked outside. It was already nightfall. Herro groaned.
"We should get to sleep. If we're going to go meet this vegitable-guy as soon as possible." Herro said, rumiging through a box. Pan humhped.
"His name is *Vegeta*." Pan informed him angerily. Herro growled, then turned to look at Pan in the face.
"I don't *care*." Herro said rudley with the same tone of voice. Then started looking in the box again. Pan eyes seemingly turned red in anger.
'You're asking for it!!' Pan thought in rage as she shook her fist at him.
"Ya know Herro? Vegeta is really powerfull. And he doesn't take kindly to people who dissrespect him. I've heard he killed a guy, for making fun of hair." Pan said smirking. Herro didn't blink.
"Well, I guess I'm going to have to be light on my feet then." Herro said calmly, as if they were talking about the weather. Pan sweat dropped at his uncharacteristic calmness.
"Finally!" Herro said, pulling out a book from the box.
"What's that?" Pan asked.
"What does it look like? It's an atlus." Herro said, showing Pan the front of the book. The atlus was a dark blue and the writing on the cover was silver. It looked old, and was slightly torn up at the edges.
The cover read.
WORLD ATLUS
Herro threw the book at Pan, and she cought it.
"Show me on a map, where vegitable-head is." Herro said sitting on the ground cross-legged. Pan growled at his constant rudness, then opened the book and started to look through maps. Then Pan pointed to a spot on a map.
"He lives here, in West City." She said. Herro looked over her shoulder, then raised both of his eyebrows. Pan looked at him.
"What?" She asked.
"Pan, Do you have any idea how far that place is from here?" Herro asked her. Pan shook her head. Herro growled.
"It's half way around the world!" Herro informed her angerily. Pan humhped.
"Well, exscuse me for not noticing!" Pan yelled, turning around from him.
'Idiot...' Herro thought to himself. Then started to look through the Atlus again.
"Well, anyway..." Herro started. He pointed to a spot on a map, that unlike the rest of areas, had no markings or names. "We're here." He said, pointing on a large orange spot. "In Teigras Canyon. Right next to it, is Teigras Desert, and next to that, is Teigras Jungle." Herro said. Pan blinked.
"How come those three areas arn't marked down?" She asked.
"Because, Teigras lands havn't been explored successfully. The fools who would come here, always got killed then eat'n." Herro said, looking at the map. "If we're going to West City, the quickest way would be... well west. But..." Herro added.
"But what?" Pan yawning.
"The fastest way, and most dangerous way, is west. Because if we go west, We'll have to go through Teigras Desert, and Teigras Jungle." Herro said worriedly. Pan smilied.
"Oh, okay." She said simply. Herro got a large vein his forhead.
"Not 'Oh, okay'!" He yelled. "You've been to the Desert before, but you never been to the jungle." Herro said, angerily.
"What's the big deal?" Pan asked. Herro tried his best to contain his anger.
"The big deal is, big predetors. Not the kind of demons we've faced in the desert or canyon.
The demons of the desert sleep under the cool sand, away from the sun. But they come out in night. You can spot one demon a mile away in the desert at night.
And as for the canyon demons, they all come out during the day, and sleep during the night. But the jungle is differnt. The creatures there, use the tall trees and grass to there advantege. The're stealthy. If you're not carfull, you can mistake them for your own shadow, and they will kill you without you even knowing it. The tall trees block out the sun, and it's always dark there." Herro said darkly. "Teigras Jungle is the most dangerous place we can go."
Pan couldn't imagine a place like that. Pan was scared for a seconed, then smirked.
"Sounds like a good place for training." Pan said grinning. Herro sweat dropped.
'Doesn't she ever get scared?' He thought.
Pan streched, and yawned. "I'm tired."
"The bed is over there." Herro said pointing at a mess of blankets and pillows. Pan looked at the 'bed', then at Herro.
"Where are you going to sleep." Pan asked. Herro blew out a candle ingulfing the cave in darkness and moonlight. Then lied on the rock floor, on his side, facing away from Pan.
"I'll be fine here." He said, the moonlight showing his back. Pan crawled into the blankets.
"Okay, suit yourself then." She said.
Pan did feel a little guilty. She was having all blankets, and Herro got the floor. Pan grumbled.
"Hey, Herro?" She asked.
"What?" He asked.
"Do you... want a blanket?" She asked. Herro humhped.
"I'm fine, I've sleeped in worse places. Plus you'll need all the blankets you can get, it's going to get really cold soon." Herro said, not looking at Pan.
Pan turned over and looked at Herro. "Okay." She said quietly.
Pan had gone asleep ten minutes later. And woke up with the canyon sun in her face. She sat up, her hair messy.
"Are you awake now?" Herro asked her, from the caves mouth. Pan looked at him sleepily, and nodded.
"Well, get up. We going now." Herro told her.
"Already?" She asked rubbing her eye.
"Yes, now get up." Herro ordered her.
Pan growled, and got up. She straightened her hair with her hands.
Herro walked outside of the cave and waited for Pan. Pan walked out the cave rubbing her eyes. Herro walked down the hill, and Pan followed. When they got to the edge of a canyon, the jumped off and flew west.
Herro and Pan had been flying for twenty minutes, when Herro flew down in front of a small river. Herro walked to the edge of the water and bent down. Pan landed behind him.
"What are we stopping for?" Pan asked. Herro took out a canteene, opened it up, and dipped it in the water.
"If we're going across the desert we need water." He said simply. The water looked surprissingly clean and clear.
Pan walked to the edge and dipped her hands in. She made her hands into a cup and put the water to her face. She rubbed the cold water on her face and flinged her hair back. The water splashed Herro.
"Hey, watch it!" He told her grumpily. Pan laughed.
"Sorry Herro." She said smiling. Herro looked at her happy face wet from the water, and blushed. He looked away as soon as he felt his face grow hot.
"Why are you so happy?" He asked not looking at her. Pan blinked.
"I don't know. Why are you so grumpy today?" She asked him. Herro growled, facing away from her.
"I didn't get much sleep last night." He grumbled. Pan blinked at his anser. Uselly Herro would have said somthing rude to her. Then Pan smirked.
"Hey, Herro." She called. Herro turned his head around, and was welcomed by Pan splashing cold water at him.
"Ah!" Herro yelled in surprise and fell over, as the water splashed on him. Pan laughed at him covering her mouth.
Herro stood up, and growled. Then splashed water at Pan. She screamed and fell over in the river. Herro smirked.
Pan looked at him, and splashed water at him again. Herro growled loudly, and tried to cover himself with his arms. Then slpashed her back.
The water fight, continued for an half-hour. Pan and Herro kept splashing eachother, and flying across the river surface, chasing eachother. Pan was laughing and clearly enjoying herself. And Herro just looked frustrated, but in truth he was having fun.
Pan was at the edge of the river soaking wet, and laughing. Herro walked up to her, just as wet and growled. Pan looked up and giggled again.
"What's so funny?" He asked impatiently.
"I'm just having fun." She said smiling. Herro humphed, and sat next to her cross legged.
"What's so fun about getting eachother wet?" He asked grumpily.
"I don't know, it just is." Pan said simply. Pan looked at the angery faced Herro. "If what we did wasn't fun, what do you think is fun?" She asked. Herro looked at her, then the river.
"I don't know. I really don't know what fun is." He said trying just to look angery, but looking a little sad. Pan smile fadded. Herro looked at Pan.
"What's... fun?" He asked her. Pan blinked.
"Well, fun is... hmmm." She said thinking of what 'fun' would be. Then she snapped her finger. "Fun, is somthing enjoyable, somthing that brings pleasure." She said.
Herro looked at her then nodded slightly, looking at the water. Pan frowned. Herro must have never had fun. Then she smiled when an idea came to her mind.
She tapped a finger on his shoulder. "When we get to West City, I'll show you alot of fun stuff." She said smiling. "It's a promise."
Herro looked at her, then at the water. "Whatever." He said. Pan got angery, then looked at Herro, and saw that he was smiling a little.
