Chapter Four

Saiyan Goddess

Sakki: The annoying Kais start getting Kaioshin pretty pissed...

Higashi no Kaioshin: ~_~ grr... stupid Kais!!

Sakki: LOL...

"You WHAT???" Kaioshin couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"W-we felt it n-necessary..." Nishi no Kaio stuttered.

It was mid-morning, and Kaioshin had just came out of a meeting with the Kais and a few other people from some of the more populated races. They had been discussing the needs of their planets, and Kaioshin had said that he'd send someone to look into it. Seemingly satisfied, they had left; he had intended to do the same, when Nishi no Kaio had kindly informed him that they had set up an assembly of eligible women to bear his child.

"And you didn't think once to consult me about doing this??"

"Well, y-yes, actually, we d-did... that's why we n-narrowed the c-contestants down to about three..."

There was hope yet... at least he didn't have to sit in his throne room and watch five hundred or something prance around in front of him... "Fine."

The Kai sighed, only just realizing he had been holding his breath.

He led the way to the throne room, Kaioshin following grudgingly behind. Katrina watched them, fear nipping painfully at her heart. What if he chose someone?

No... He wouldn't.... after all, he was so against I the idea... that thought gave her a strand of hope, and she clung to it tightly. Kaioshin glanced back at her, pleadingly, with a look that seemed to beg, "Don't make me go in there alone!!!". She smiled and followed him.

"And I can perform every sexual act in existence!" the current and, thankfully, last 'eligible female' squealed in her annoying high-pitched voice. Kaioshin looked at her oddly, sitting in his jeweled throne; Katrina stood at his side, an eyebrow raised, and checked off something on the clipboard. The girl, taking this as a good sign, squealed again in delight.

"That's quite enough..." Kaioshin said. She skipped out of the throne room, her thin, gauzy clothing barely staying on her frail form.

"I'm so glad that's over..." Kaioshin sat back wearily. It turned out that all three of them had been screechy, prissy, cheer-leader types... and had all succeeded in boring him to death. Looking over to Katrina, who had a disgusted look on her face, he said,

"Could you get me a drink or something please? This was Hell..."

She smiled. "Of course."

As she was walking down the hall towards the kitchen, a shadow passed over her and she stopped, looking behind her. Suddenly, something grabbed her shoulders and pushed her back against the wall, and she whipped her head around proper, looking into the eyes of Minami no Kaio.

Rolling her eyes, she said, "Must you continue to do this? It's getting annoying..."

He only laughed lowly, keeping her pinned hard to the wall. She struggled against him, but to no avail.

"Minami, let go this inst-" she was abruptly cut off as he pressed his lips against hers, her tongue jabbing into her mouth uninvited. She struggled harder, fear fueling her, because she tasted alcohol on his breath. He only pressed his body more firmly against hers with bruising force and she noticed, with a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach, his growing erection.

Kaioshin sighed, wondering where his drink was, and how long Kita no Kaio, Nishi no Kaio and Higashi no Kaio were gonna stand there and bore him to death, each insisting that he need choose a mate soon.

Wait a minute... where is Minami no Kaio? Furrowing his paled eyebrows, the lavender deity thought for a moment; Katrina was getting him a drink, and it had been about five minutes since she had left... she should have been back by now. Come to think of it, Minami had said something about Katrina once or twice... and Kaioshin had not failed to notice the looks he'd often given her... and then there had been the day before, when he had sensed her fear of him; and the images in her mind of what he had done to make her so uneasy.

"Excuse me for a moment." He muttered, then walked swiftly towards the door, ignoring the Kais' exclamations of annoyance.

Walking quickly down the hall, he searched for Katrina's ki. Catching it skyrocketing with fear in the next corridor over, he sped down the hall, his feet leaping silently over the stone floors. Turning the corner, his eyes took in the sight of Minami no Kaio pinning Katrina to the floor, one hand creeping up her shirt. She was struggling, but it was no use; he out powered her.

Kaioshin's eyes glowed bright blue for an instant, and the intoxicated Kai of the South was knocked back. Rushing to Katrina, he knelt next to her and scooped her into his arms. Her top was ripped, exposing the tender skin of her neck and below her throat that was usually covered by the high collar of the Kai clothes. He turned his attention back to Minami and again his eyes glowed bright blue; the Kai vanished.

"W-where did he go...?" Katrina asked, looking up at Kaioshin. He didn't look at her, furious with himself for not foreseeing this and preventing it. "He's in a locked chamber reserved for Kais that... get out of hand." He started back to his quarters, still holding the slight Elfin girl.

"I can walk..." she said after a few minutes. He only tightened his grip and walked into his room.

Laying her down in the center of his huge bed, he closed his eyes, psychically examining her. She felt a tingle go through her, a warm vibratory feeling. The few bruises she had vanished and she closed her eyes. "Thank you..." she glanced around, her mind screaming, YOU'RE IN HIS ROOM!! ON HIS BED!!! OMIGOD OMIGOD OMIGOD!!!

Kaioshin was sitting on the edge of the bed and didn't seem to hear her. He was thinking.

"Shin...?"

"Why were you in my room?" he asked suddenly.

"..." she stared at him, a faint blush rising in her face. "I... um, well I was... er... and then I..." she fumbled, her words sloshed around in her mouth. She sighed, composed herself, and said slowly, "I was watching you sleep..."

He looked at her, grinning boyishly. "You were careless... your aura trail was easy to pick up."

"Oops..."

She looked so cute sitting there like that, on his bed, almost like a little girl... his eyes drifted to the tear in her shirt, her shimmery, golden skin spilling into view. He felt his pulse quicken and looked away again. Why am I feeling like this? I'm not some schoolboy who can't control his hormones! But... maybe it's her... maybe... NO! I can NOT have a mate! Especially her... if I lost her, I'd die...

Because you love her. An inner voice said.

No! No, I can't...

You do. You do and you know it.

He sighed. She looked at him and said, "What's wrong...?"

"Katrina..." he could barely hold back from lunging at her and taking her then and there. "You'd best leave... now."

"How come...?" she furrowed her eyebrows. "Are you okay...?"

"If you don't leave right now, I won't be able to stop myself from doing what Minami no Kaio was attempting..."

She stared at him. A smile alighted her face and moved onto her side, facing him, a hand supporting her head. "With you...." she began in a seductive voice, "I'd do it willingly..."

Faster than she could follow, she suddenly found herself pinned to the bed, the Supreme Kai on top of her, kissing her passionately. She moved her arms up around his neck, pulling him down closer. He braced his weight on his forearms which set on either side of her on the bed, caging her underneath him. Her tongue ran over his lips teasingly, in a tempting almost-half kiss. He broke the kiss and gazed into her shining green eyes.

"You do know that when I get started again, I'm not likely going to be able to stop." He cautioned. Hell, he probably couldn't stop now...

"I wouldn't want you to..." she murmured. Her eyes glimmered, and he kissed her again, his hands moving down to her hips and rubbing up and down her sides. Her skin was heated already, and he knew she had been wanting this for a very long time. And, now that he thought about it, so had he...

Sakki: Well, I got this chapter done... finally! Yay!

Higashi no Kaioshin: I'm mad at you. I wanted a lemon. YOU CUT IT OFF!! *sniff*

Sakki: Don't worry, you'll get it in the next chapter... ~,~
Higashi no Kaioshin: Really?

Sakki: Yes.

Sakki: Well, I'm back from my grandmother's house... I'll be working on the next (and hopefully last) chapter to this...
