Rating: R (For language, violence, rape, and lemon)
Summary: Ever read those stories where Bulma is the proud Saiyan Princess and Vegeta is the stubborn heir to Capsule Corporation? Well, here's my take on the idea.
Disclaimer: I don't own DBZ! I know it's horribly depressing and I'm not sure if I'll ever have a joyful life again, but alas, it is something I must live with.
AN: Keep in mind that these will not be the same as the normal DBZ characters. They've lived their lives differently up to this point, and it is one of my personal beliefs that a person's personality has about 90% to do with the environment they live in and grew up in rather than who or what they are. Anyway, so don't flame me to tell me that their OOC because I know that and I intend that. This is an AU so if you don't like AU's then this isn't the story for you. Well, without further ado, here it is! Read and review please!!
The Princess
Chapter One: Escape from Hell
Bulma scowled while stomping angrily down the metal corridor towards her rooms. Soldiers of all different species, noticing her dark mood, scrambled to get out of the enraged Saiyan's way. There has to be some way, she thought, I refuse to bow to that lizard freak for the rest of my life. She was the Saiyan no Hime, damnit! She was the strongest of her race, the strongest to be born in a millennia. And she was bowing to and taking orders from a genderless freak.
As she approached the door to her rooms, she took a deep calming breath. She needed to be level headed to deal with the last two members of her race. Nappa, although an absolute moron, had been her bodyguard since birth and would follow her to the depths of hell if she asked it. Radditz though certainly more competent than the other man, barely concealed his desire for the beautiful aqua haired princess. Bulma, however, had absolutely no desire to mate with anyone, ever. She lived for one thing and one thing only: to crush her oppressor and her races' executioner.
She sighed opening the door and breathed a sigh of relief when the door safely closed behind her. A quick check with her scouter confirmed the other Saiyajin's presence.
"Nappa! Radditz!" She roared. "Get your asses out here!"
Her sensitive ears picked up on grumbled curses as the two hurried into the room. They bowed to her, the only people who showed her the respect her station afforded her. They sat in the two chairs in front of her desk, Nappa fidgeting nervously apparently in feat of incurring his princess's wrath.
Bulma sighed and sunk down into the chair giving her tired muscles a much needed break. "We've gotten another purging mission from Frieza." She began growling the lizards name with as much distaste as she could possibly muster. "I think it may finally be time to break away."
Surprise evident on both of their faces there was an uncomfortable silence. Radditz opened his mouth to ask a question but Bulma's glare silenced him and his mouth snapped shut.
"The planet we're supposed to purge, Nekosei, is six months journey from here. That would ideally give us a year before anyone noticed us missing. Now the question is what to do with the time. Radditz, you said your brother Kakarott was sent as a child to purge Chikyuu, correct?"
Radditz nodded. "Hai, Hime-sama."
"Well, according to the information I've gathered, life still exists on that planet. So for some reason the purge obviously failed. Either something on that mud ball was actually strong enough to take down a Saiyajin." A snort from Nappa. Bulma simply glared at him before continuing, "Or somehow his programming got messed up. Now instead of going to Nekosei, we'll be going to Chikyuu. If Kakarott is alive then we'll have one more Saiyajin with us. If he's not, then perhaps we can ally ourselves with the Chikyuu-jins."
Nappa frowned. "Why would we want to do that?"
"Because, baka," she hissed, "Although the Chikyuu-jins are physically weak, they have advanced technology. They might have something that will help us against Frieza!" She gave them a moment to comment and not surprisingly, neither said a word. "Good, now get some rest. We leave at 06:00 hours."
The two men bowed quickly and left the room leaving her by herself. She sighed heavily and turned in her chair, her sapphire gaze intently concentrated out the window at the vast emptiness of space. Soon, she promised herself, soon, I will crush you Frieza. I will achieve my destiny.

Vegeta groaned rising out of his chair for the first time in several hours. His tired muscles protested audible as he stretched to work some of the kinks out. A quick glance at the clock told him that it was almost dinnertime and he chuckled when his stomach grumbled almost on queue. He quickly shut down his computer and exited the lab striding across the lawn to the residence section of Capsule Corporation.
His mouth began to water when his nose caught the delectable smells of his mother's cooking wafting through the house. The grin died on his lips, however, when he noticed the person in the kitchen besides his parents. It wasn't that he dislike Son Goku, on the contrary Goku was Vegeta's best friend, but the mans simple mindedness tended to grate on his nerves and he was just too tired to deal with the younger man's idiocy.
"Hey Vegeta!" Goku greet happily and he barely paused in his assault on the mountain of food in front of him.
Vegeta grunted a greeting while fixing his own plate before the other man ate it all and took his seat right across from Goku. They ate in comfortable silence. Goku shoveled his food in his mouth disregarding the food that landed on his face, in his hair, and on his clothes. Vegeta ate considerably less and considerably less messy shooting disgusted glances at his friend. He's like a tornado, he marveled slightly chuckling to himself. Goku glanced up and raised an eyebrow in inquiry and Vegeta mumbled, "Nothing." Goku just shrugged and continued literally inhaling his food.
Fifteen minutes later, Goku leaned back in his chair contentedly patting his full stomach. "Thanks Vegeta! That was great!"
"No problem, Goku. Did you need something?"
Goku's entire demeanor suddenly shifted and his expression grew serious. He leaned forward in his chair and spoke lowly, "Actually, I was wondering how the gravity chamber's coming?"
Vegeta shrugged nonchalantly. "All I need to do is program it so it should be done tomorrow. Why?"
Goku frowned, "I spoke to Kami-sama today. He said that he felt something approaching the planet. He isn't clear on their intentions, but whoever it is apparently is extremely powerful."
"How long until they arrive?"
"He said three months or so."
"Well," Vegeta began, "I'll make sure to get it done first thing in the morning so you can pick it up tomorrow afternoon."
Goku grinned at his friend. "Thanks, buddy. Oh, I also meant to ask you if there's anyway you could build something that could keep ki from being used?"
Vegeta frowned for a moment deep in thought. While he didn't have the strength that his friends had, he knew enough about ki to fly and create small blasts. He wasn't in his friend's league but he could at least kick any normal person's ass. From his knowledge of ki, he knew that ki use was regulated by a small section of the brain. It could be possible to create a device to block that section of the brain. He finally shrugged, "I suppose it's possible. I'll try and see what I can come up with."
"Thanks." Goku smiled and stood. "I should get going though. Chi Chi's probably throwing a fit."
Vegeta laughed. To think that the strongest fighter in the world was scared of his wife! Then he remembered that the particular woman in question also brandished a wicked frying pan. Goku's fear was justified.
The two men parted ways and Vegeta headed back out to the lab, a full cup of coffee in hand. He mentally sighed preparing himself for a long evening of work. Better make that every night for a while, he reminded himself. It wasn't like he had anything better to do anyway. His last relationship had ended a month ago, and the handsome heir to Capsule Corporation had been dateless ever since. It wasn't that he couldn't get a date. He never had a problem in THAT department. The problem was finding someone who wasn't just interested in his money and fame. He was twenty-five years old and he'd never been in love or even in a serious relationship.
He sighed. That didn't really matter much at the moment anyway. The world could be ending in three months, he reminded himself. He sat down at his computer and forced himself to get to work.
AN: There it is! Sorry, it's so short but later in the story the chapters will get longer. Anyway to recap, Bulma's got a plan to escape Frieza and the Z fighters are training for the upcoming confrontation with the mysterious powers. Who could these powers be? I think we all know the answer to that one. Next time: The three Saiyajin arrive on Chikyuu. Who will be there to greet them?
