Summary: Ever read those stories where Bulma is the proud Saiyan Princess and Vegeta is the stubborn heir to Capsule Corporation? Well, here's my take on the idea.
Disclaimer: I don't own DBZ! I know it's horribly depressing and I'm not sure if I'll ever have a joyful life again, but alas, it is something I must live with.
Last time: Bulma came up with a plan to escape Frieza's service and Goku told Vegeta of the upcoming battle. What happens when our three Saiyajin's arrive on Chikyuu?
The Princess
Chapter Two: Arrival on Chikyuu
Bulma blinked slowly coming to awareness of her surroundings. Cryosleep had always done that to her, one of the main reasons she hated it. She hated being unaware of her surroundings at any time, a natural instinct transformed into an obsession during her service to Frieza. Drop your guard around him and you're as good as dead.
She checked the main computer and estimated planet fall within ten minutes. She glanced out the window and almost gasped at the site of Chikyuu. It's beautiful, she though before squelching that voice. The only planet she cared about exploded when she was a child and since then she'd been doing nothing but destroying them. The planet before he was for the most part blue with the occasional snatches of land and swirling white clouds.
She buckled herself into the seat as the pod entered the planet's atmosphere. The G forces suddenly increased and the pod shook. She groaned as the pressure crushed her into the chair. I hate this part. She was jerked as the pod hit the surface causing a large crater and she felt the ground shake moments later as the other two pods crashed into the dirt.
Bulma unbuckled herself and opened the door. She emerged from the pod and levitated out of the crater. Waiting for her two companions, she took a moment to look around her surroundings. She was in the middle of a lush, green forest and the leaves on the trees were a dazzling array of greens, reds, oranges, and browns. It was completely different than her planet, a vast arid planet with a blood red sky and few trees. But Bulma could appreciate the beauty of the scene before her.
Her scouter beeped signaling the approach of several powers and she turned in that direction seeing nothing yet. Nappa and Radditz landed behind her and she turned to address them.
"It looks like we have a welcoming committee. Keep your mouths shut and don't do anything stupid. This is not a purging mission. Am I understood?"
They both mumbled their accent and Bulma turned to the powers that landed in front of her. There was a Namek, a short bald human, a three-eyed man, a small clown looking child, a young boy with dark hair, another human with long dark hair and a scar running down his face, a man with intense dark eyes and upswept ebony hair, and finally another man with dark hair sticking out in every direction. Her eyes narrowed slightly at the last figure. He looked like he might be a Saiyajin.
The Namek spoke first practically growling at them, "Who are you and what are you doing on Chikyuu?"
Bulma stepped forward meeting his scrutinizing gaze. "I am Princess Bulma of the former Saiyajin Empire." She stated proudly. Gesturing to the men on either side of her, she continued with the introductions, "My companions are Nappa and Radditz. We are looking for one of our kind sent here as an infant."
The tall one in the orange gi stepped forward. "What's a Saiyajin?"
Radditz gasped to her right and whispered, "Kakarott."
Bulma's head snapped in his direction and her sapphire eyes narrowed dangerously. "Are you sure?"
"Hai, Hime-sama. I am. He looks just like our father."
Bulma looked at the orange clad man again and vaguely remembered meeting Radditz's father Bardock who looked exactly like the man in front of her with the exception of a scar along the right side of his face. "You're right." She agreed.
Kakarott blinked, "Huh?"
"You are a Saiyajin. You're real name is Kakarott."
"Nani?!" He questioned. "No, I think you're mistaken."
Bulma glared at the man. "You had a tail, correct?" He nodded. "And at the full moon you transformed into a giant monkey. Your appetite is also enormous, and you have unusual strength and the ability to heal from injury quickly."
He looked at her wide eyed wanting to disbelieve but finding that he couldn't. It explained too many things about him. "Wow," he muttered still in shock. "So I'm an alien huh?"
She nodded. "Radditz here is your older brother."
Goku stared at the large Saiyajin identified as his brother. The man was certainly intimidating. "I have a brother?" He asked lamely.
Bulma smirked and crossed her arms over her chest. "We're here because we want you to join up in the fight against the being responsible for our home world's destruction."
"This sounds pretty serious." Goku frowned a moment. "Well, let's go find somewhere more comfortable to talk then."
"We could go back to my house." Vegeta spoke up. He glanced at the gorgeous blue haired woman who nodded her accent and took to the air with the Z Senshi and the Saiyajin following closely behind.

They landed on the Capsule Corporation lawn thirty minutes later and although on the outside, Bulma was indifferent to her surroundings, on the inside she was in awe of the huge dome structure. Once inside they were greeted by a smiling blonde woman whose shrill voice cut right through the Saiyajin's ear drums.
"Oh, Vegeta honey, who are the guests?" She asked in a sickeningly sweet voice.
Bulma stepped forward introducing them, "Princess Bulma of the former Saiyajin Empire and my guards Nappa and Radditz."
"Oh royalty!" The blonde woman cooed. "Well, make yourselves comfortable and I'll get you all some drinks."
Bulma rolled her eyes already irritated with the woman's vacuous manner and followed Vegeta who lead them to an outdoor terrace. They all took a seat at the table. Nappa and Radditz sat on either side of her and she rolled her eyes yet again, this time for the overprotective nature. She was stronger than the both of them put together and was more than capable of protecting herself. "Well," she began, "since you know who we are perhaps you should introduce yourselves."
Goku laughed and rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. "I guess you're right. I'm Son Goku and that's my son, Gohan. The green guy over here is Piccolo, and this is Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, Choutzu, and Vegeta." He said point to each one. "Now," he said seriously, "let's get down to business."
Bulma cleared her throat. She wasn't exactly relishing the idea of telling the downfall of the Saiyajin Empire to a room full of strangers, but it had to be done. "As I said, I was the Princess of my planet, Saiyasei. (AN: I couldn't exactly call it Vegetasei so I had to come up with something else.) Before I was born, my father signed a treat with Frieza because of his own greed. In it he agreed that the Saiyajin would purge planets for Frieza effectively doing his dirty work for him on the condition that he left Saiyasei alone. When I was seven, Frieza used a clause in the treaty to take custody of me for training purposes. I left my home with my two guards and while we were away on a mission, Frieza killed my father and destroyed my planet. We are all that's left of the Saiyajin race. For the past twenty years we have been forced to do his bidding, destroying planets for him. But I have also been training like mad in the hope of becoming the Legendary so I can avenge my people."
"What's the Legendary?" Vegeta questioned softly.
Bulma glanced at him, noticing for the first time just how attractive he was. The dark hair that gave way to an exaggerated widow's peak. His dark eyes bore into her azure ones and his white tank top exposed his perfectly chiseled muscles. "The Legendary," she began, "is the ultimate warrior or our race with unfathomable power. The last one was a thousand years ago and I am directly descended from him. I was foretold to be the Legendary reborn."
Vegeta mumbled something under his breath about her being too full of herself, but she didn't quite catch it. Apparently Nappa did because he flew out of his chair and growled, "How dare you disrespect the Saiyan no Hime?"
"Nappa!" Bulma roared. "What did I tell you about keeping your mouth shut?"
"But Hime-sama," he protested before her icy glare cut him short.
"Do you think so little of your Princess that she can't defend herself?" Bulma hissed angrily.
Nappa hung his head in shame and muttered, "No, your majesty."
Bulma smirked at him. "Then sit down and for God's sake, shut up!"
Nappa nervously replaced his chair and sat thankful that he didn't incur her ire. She was positively scary.
"Oh and Nappa," she started smugly, "we will be sparring later this evening."
The bald man visibly paled and gulped. Now he had incurred his princess's wrath. Everyone around nervously chuckled except Vegeta who outright laughed thoroughly amused to see a huge seven foot tall man cowering from a petite woman.
"So what's the plan?" Goku questioned.
The princess shrugged, "We have about nine months before Frieza notices that we're missing. His power level in his first form tops one million on a standard scouter, and I'm at that now. But he has three more forms topping out around two million. Somehow I have to achieve the Legendary."
Goku frowned a minute in deep thought. (AN: Is that an oxymoron?) He grinned suddenly and one could almost see the light bulb flicker on above his head. "Hey! You could always train in the gravity room."
A fine blue eye brow rose as Bulma's interest piqued. "Gravity room?"
Vegeta's gruff voice answered her question. "One of my inventions. It can simulate the effects of up to one hundred times Chikyuu's gravity."
One hundred times gravity? Bulma's mind began turning the possibilities. Training in that kind of gravity would definitely help narrow the gap between herself and Frieza. "Could you get it to go higher than that?"
Vegeta stared at her incredulously. "I suppose it's possible although I doubt anyone could survive that."
Her cerulean eyes narrowed at him in annoyance. "You don't know what a Saiyajin can handle. I easily take it."
He sighed, "Fine. I'll get started on it right away."
The scarred one identified as Yamcha spoke up. "How do we know you won't turn against us after this Frieza thing is over with?"
Her icy azure gaze traveled to him and through clenched teeth she replied, "I am not interested in this planet. The planet I was supposed to rule is gone and I have no desire to rule over another. After this is over we will leave your planet and return to space."
Yamcha glared at her. "Well, I don't trust you."
"Look, human," Bulma spat, "Frieza may not be interested in this part of the galaxy yet, but he will come eventually and when he does, he will destroy this planet and every one of its inhabitants. Ignoring the problem will not make it go away."
Yamcha jumped from his chair in anger. "I'm getting really sick of your attitude, lady!"
Bulma also rose from her chair with an arrogant smirk plastered on her face. "Are you challenging me?"
"You bet your life I am!"
"Yamcha? I don't think this is a good idea." Krillin stammered as he nervously eyed the two combatants.
"If you value your life, you will listen to your friend." Bulma hissed. Baka! I could kill him with my pinkie finger if I wanted to! "But, if you're foolish enough to continue then follow me." With a bright aqua burst of ki, she blasted off into the sky with the intention of finding a deserted area for the upcoming fight.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
After only being in the air a few minutes, she came across a large enough clearing and descended. Seconds later, the scar faced human landed followed closely by everyone else. She glared darkly at the human while adjusting her scouter to get a ready. When the numbers flashed on the display, she burst out laughing.
"You're going to defeat me with a power lever of 1,500?" The Saiyan no Hime grinned at the human baring her teeth. "I'll give you one last chance to back out."
Yamcha dropped into a fighting stance. "We'll see who defeats who, bitch!"
Bulma growled. This human was really starting to piss her off. She dropped into her own fighting stance as she felt her blood begin to boil. This was what she lived for, the challenge of the battle. Not that there would be that much of a challenge in this case. She grinned again. Humiliating that weakling would be fun.
"Yamcha," she heard Kakarott say from the sidelines, "Don't you think you should quit now?"
Another voice, this time Vegeta, said, "Let the baka get his ass kicked." Bulma had to chuckle at the apparent distaste he held for the scarred human. She could definitely understand why Vegeta didn't like him.
Yamcha powered up with a roar and the red fire of his ki flickered around him. He suddenly flew at Bulma, his right fist extended for a punch. She easily dodged and nailed him in his unprotected side. He tried kicking at her and she blocked. He growled again, obviously angry at his inability to hit her, and threw a barrage of punches and kicks at the Saiyan no Hime, all of which she dodged effortlessly.
"Is that all?" She mocked. Laughing at his obvious frustration, she took the offensive and launched into a flurry of blows most of them connecting. He fell to his knees, panting.
Bulma smirked coldly at him, "How would you like to see the power of the Saiyan no Hime?" With a primal cry, her blue aura ignited around her with hints of gold to it. Her hair whipped around her and the ground began to shake. Yamcha watched the display frozen in fear. This was a bad idea, he groaned to himself. He suddenly took to the air, gathering his ki for a blast. The princess followed him with blue ki gathered in her hands as well. He cupped his hands at his side and yelled, "KA-ME-HA-ME-HA!" The blast tore through the air and headed straight for the blue haired Saiyajin.
Bulma held one hand out in front of her with her palm outstretched. "Blue Flames!" She shouted releasing an ever bigger blast that completely engulfed Yamcha's before flying towards him.
He barely was able to dodge out of the way and watched transfixed as the mass of ki left Chikyuu's atmosphere. He turned his attention back to his opponent only to notice that she disappeared. "What the hell?" He asked himself aloud before he was grabbed from behind, his arms pinned behind him rendering him immobile.
"Do you concede?" Bulma asked in an emotionless tone.
He struggled in an attempt to break her hold on him. Her grip only tightened and he cried out in pain feeling his shoulders both dislocate.
"Do you concede?" She asked again.
The ex-bandit finally nodded in defeat. There was no way that he could beat her. He felt so humiliated and in front of his friends too. Bulma landed in front of him and smirked. "Know this," she said haughtily, "If you ever challenge me again you will not escape with your life. For Saiyajin, honor challenges are to the death. Remember that."
Without a word to her or any of the spectators, Yamcha took off into the air to get his injuries taken care of.
Bulma glared at his retreating form for a moment while her body calmed a little. She was always really wired and volatile after a fight, and she couldn't afford to lose her infamous short temper. The next few months would require complete cooperation between the Saiyajin and Z Senshi if they were to have any chance against Frieza.
After taking a few deep breaths, she moved to where everyone else was still gathered. "That was very entertaining, your majesty." Nappa praised.
Bulma rolled her eyes. "It was so grossly inadequate it could hardly be called a fight." She crossed her arms and snorted. "And stop trying to kiss my ass, Nappa. You're still sparring with me."
"Of course, Hime-sama." Nappa quickly replied while next to him Radditz was too busy laughing his ass off to be of any help. He quickly stifled his mirth when the princess leveled an icy glare on him that clearly said if he didn't stop laughing he would share his bald companion's fate.
Goku approached the blue haired princess and smiled at her, "Thank you for not killing him, Bulma-sama."
Bulma frowned, "Contrary to popular belief, I do not enjoy killing, especially those weaker than me. I've merely done what I needed to survive."
"Well," the tall Saiyajin began in his typical clueless demeanor in an attempt at a subject change, "I think it's about time for Gohan and me to head home. Chi Chi'll have a fit if we aren't there soon." Everyone laughed except for the Saiyajin who didn't understand the remark. Goku paused a moment as something occurred to him. "Where are you guys going to stay?"
Bulma shrugged. "I hadn't thought that far ahead yet. We can just camp out here."
"You guys could stay with me." Vegeta offered.
She turned to regard the handsome man. "We wouldn't want to inconvenience you more than we already have."
He grinned wolfishly. "I'm one of the richest people on Chikyuu. Trust me, it won't be any inconvenience."
Bulma smiled at him. It would be interesting to stay with him in the least. Of course, that annoying blonde woman was a draw back, but it was much better than sleeping on the hard ground and having to kill your own food. "Very well, we accept your offer and thank you for your hospitality."
Vegeta nodded in acknowledgement and lifted into the air with the three Saiyajin close behind. They set off for Capsule Corporation and the months of hard work ahead.
AN: I've noticed a pattern in my stories. I can't resist torturing Yamcha. I sadly think it's becoming an obsession to see what horrible things I can do to him. Oh well. Anyway, I think that is the longest chapter I've ever written for anything. To recap: Bulma finds out that our lovable thought challenged Son Goku is really the Saiyajin they were looking for, she enlists the help of the Z Senshi in the upcoming battle against Frieza, she humiliated Yamcha, and accepted Vegeta's offer to stay at CC. Next time: We learn a lot about Bulma's tortured past.
