When the chains touched Jai they vanished. Her wound healed on its own. Jai got up and she stared at Kitsui. But, her eyes were different. They were darker, distant. "Who are you?" She asks, her voice is cold.

Kitsui looked at Jai's new form then he looked at his own hands and noticed they were completely different. "K--Kitsui..." A weak growl of his name could be heard from his throat as his solid purple eyes glared at her with such sorrow filled in them. He then began to approach her and he touched her face gently trying to remember who Jai was. "J...Jai..." He made another weak growl saying her name this time.

Kitsui's heartbeat began to pick up then his eyes turned solid red and he let out a demonic scream of pain holding his head then he looked at her looking like an angered beast but the whole time he was trying to resist his demonic side to keep from doing any harm to Jai and Ayumu. "R...Run...Please..." The normal Kitsui's voice could be heard coming out and then it returned to the crazed demonic voice.

He tried to slam his claws through Jai but the good Kitsui forced his arm to halt still having some fight left to restrain the beast. "Run now! I can't hold myself back any longer! Run!" The good Kitsui screamed as his demonic arm that was raised was trembling fighting between attacking and resisting.

Jai curled her hands into fists, "NO... I'm not abandoning the two of you. I know... That your still in there." She took a deep breath, "Dammit Kitsui... SNAP OUT OF IT!" Closing her eyes she threw her arms around him, her soul burned. "Aki Luna... taskete..." (translation: red moon help me) Red energy tried to sooth the anger in his beast side.

'Please work...' She pleaded in her head.

Kitsui looked at Jai who was in his arms and her using her powers in an attempt to sooth the savageness of his demon. He began to tremble and his eyes went from red to purple and finally back to the normal yellow. "Jai...Thank you..." Kitsui returned to his normal mindset but still remained in his Youkai State. Kitsui began to smile softly and pulled his arms gently around Jai.

He rested his head on top of hers actually blushing. "Jai...I was afraid I would give in then...I couldn't forgive myself if I ever hurt you two. Kitsui wrapped his longer tail around Jai and held her close to him.

 

Jai blushed, "K-kitsui.... I... I'm..." Her voice trailed off. She took a dep breathe trying to make it stronger. "I'm not trying to steal you from Ayumu." She was blushing, her hands knotted into fists in his shirt. Her own tail was wrapped around Kitsui's. Her ear twitched against his cheek, "But.... all the same...." She paused. 

Kitsui nodded his head knowing what she was saying. "Maybe so...But just hold me...You may not have the chance to again if I fail to protect you from your brother..." Kitsui said as he raised her chin softly and looked her into her eyes. He then kissed her forehead gently and softly let her go. "It'll take some time for me to regain my normal form...The Rebirth Awakening seals my spirit into slumber in replace of healing the souls of those I protect. When my spirit sleeps I become what you see now my Youkai State..." He then lay back tiredly and closed his eyes half way.

"There is one good outcome to this form, my strength and speed has become increased a good tenfold though...I'm just surprised you were able to stop the instinctive control of this form..." He said as he looked over to Jai.

Jai laid down next to him and put her arms around him, "Yes... I will hold you. And, thank you... for protecting me." She sighed, "Honestly... I have no idea how I helped you either."

 

Meanwhile, Ayumu was awake. She sat in full human form, her hand over her eyes. All she could see was red. But a new scent made her recoil slightly. Her commander had entered the area, and he was looking for her.

"AUYMU!" a voice yelled. And she stood at attention. Her heart raced. How would it go....when she couldn't even see? "Ayumu!" the voice said softer and hugged her lovingly.

After awhile Kitsui got up and returned to the clearing where Ayumu was. Kitsui looked at Jai then over to Ayumu and her General. "Ayumu I see you've found your mate." He grinned teasingly not knowing what was really going on. He didn't feel as territorial as Ayumu did but he just watched the two cautiously. He then stood up and picked up Jai setting her on his shoulder. "Well, still we're a pack no matter what mate we have, I will protect you two to the fullest of my will." Kitsui said as he nodded his head slowly then walked towards Ayumu and her general.

Kitsui then held out his hand to Ayumu and he placed in her hand the necklace he always wore. "If I cannot give you my heart...I can replace it with this...Keep it close to you for it will allow you to seem anything your heart desires...as well as the future. " He said as he closed her hand around the golden necklace with a red gem inside the pendant.

Kitsui walked off still carrying Jai on his shoulder. "Ayumu I'm sorry...I couldnt be what you expected me to be...Though I will always protect you." He said as he looked back at her over his shoulder as he spoke.

Ayumus head spun. She heard Kitsui's voice, and felt then pendent. She pocketed it, and looked back at her commander.

"Commander. I must go. I have found the track of my brother." She said disgusted. Her Commander had no idea she was blinded. He nodded and allowed her to run off.

She ran off quickly and ran into a tree, earning a bloody nose. She walked, trying to smell any danger.

"Ayyyuuuummmuuuu." A voice called and she reeled around. The voice sounded so familiar.

Jai looked at Kitsui, "Kitsui..... wait...." She got down off of his shoulder, "Your in love with Ayumu... Don't leave her.... Not for the sake of some runaway." She smirked at the last bit. Her face became a bit more solem, "And one more thing.... Don't come after us when my brother takes me. I don't want to see you or Ayumu hurt anymore. Kitsui... she's blind she needs you. Much more then I do...." She began to walk away, feeling slightly sick. She put her hand to the mark on her chest. 

 

Kitsui followed after Jai then noticed she was clutching her chest and he grabbed her by the arm, but not too roughly. "Don't talk like that, I'm not letting you go back to your brother, he almost killed you, just think what will happen the next time he sees you." Kitsui yelled at her. "You're not just some runaway, so get that out of your head." Kitsui said as he let go of her arm and pulled her into his arms and held her tightly. 'I Know you want the best for me and for me to be with Ayumu, but dont you think your life has value to me as well?" Kitsui asked her as he brushed through her hair.

""Kitsui then let her go and turned his back to her and was blushing a lot. "It's hard for me to choose you know...Both of you are very precious to me...But truthfully...I was more attracted to you." He explained to her as he turned back around and looked her in the eyes.

'Spring...About the time of the mating season for us kitsunes...You may not really understand, but a female kitsune's scent is stronger to the male than a wolf's would be...That very first day I met you I was overpowered by you...It made my head hurt with thoughts that I could not explain..." Kitsui told her as he put his hands on her shoulders looking deeply into her eyes.

Kitsui lifted Jai's chin up and kissed her lips deeply wrapping his long tail around her waist blushing a bit as he embraced her.

The voice called out to her again, but closer then it had been. She could smell numeroud animals. She strained her brain until she found the familiar scent of her Half brother.

She was already hurting emotionaly, and physically. Now she would fight to the death.

She heard a wolves paws scratch then the body break wind. She cahnged instantly and faught blindly. She was torn at by numerous teeth. She could smell only males.

Once she got hold of a large male and ripped at her throat. Another almost ripped off all her tail, leaving only a stub.

"You're done Ayumu..." her half brother whispered, and tied her tail around his belt, with the other. She dropped, submitting to him.

But something collided into her brother, knocking him from his feet. She took the chance and ran. When she was far enough away she rose her maw and howled, loud enough for the entire forest to hear.

Kitsui looked towards the woods as he heard Ayumu's loud dying howl and the smell of blood wreaked in the air, instinctive Kitsui vanished in such a speed that he became a blur and then appeared where Ayumu was lying injured. "You two sure are useless without me..." Kitsui tried to joke even though he couldnt stand to see her injured.

He saw her maw was covered in blood and her tail was no longer there and as he placed his hand over her eyes he felt that she was blind. "No wonder...She never really had any sight..." Kitsui sighed and then knelt down beside Ayumu. "There's nothing I can do for her in this form...If only I could return to normal..." He thought to himself as he looked very worried now. He then sighed and tried to patch up and stop Ayumu's bleeding the best he could since he no longer had his healing powers.

"Don't you die on me Ayumu..." He said softly then stood up and smelt that Ayumu's half brother was still close by. He then let his anger take control and he ran after the wolf that attacked Ayumu, in a ghastly rage he struck Ayumu's brother with so much force that the malicious energy in his hand caused an explosion that engulfed a small portion of the area in a graviton sphere of darkness and then subsided in a bright flash and with that Ayumu's brother was crushed and left lying to die having every bone in his body shattered from the dark attack. "Raaaaaagh!" He let out a demonic howl as he stood over the injured wolf's body.

Once more the Youkai side began to take over except it began to get even stronger and suddenly demonic bat wings ripped out from his back and his eyes turned complete red from every angle. "Ah ha ha...Kill...Kill...Kill!!!" He laughed maliciously as the good Kitsui was engulfed completely by the darkness.

Ayumu had crawled away, into the shelter of a small log. She whimpered and felt for her tail. Her beautiful white tail was now almost completely gone, like her eye sight.

Another sound woke her from her depression over her tail and she looked at the figure with blind glassy eyes.

"You can come out..." The wolfen voice said. She did and leaned against the other wolf for support. She whimpered hoarsely, her throat had a gaping wound.

Kitsui flew back to where Ayumu was seeing her and another wolf, but the insanity had a tight grip on him and he struck the wolf that was near Ayumu with so much force that it knocked the wolf right dead into a tree.

Kitsui then turned his attention towards Ayumu and he began reaching towards her making his claws appear and he laughed quite hideously but just as his hands approached Ayumu's neck a shock struck Kitsui's arms and froze them in place. 

"Why you...You just won't die!" The evil Kitsui yelled loudly. "You won't hurt her! I'll kill you myself!"  The good Kitsui screamed then suddenly black flames began to burn around him and out of his back shot out the good Kitsui free from his demonic form somehow.

"You'll pay for trying to hurt Ayumu." Kitsui yelled as he became his Shinigami State and suddenly sprouted angelic white wings and his scythe struck down the Youkai Kitsui shredding him into nothing but dark matter and it burned away.

As the light came from Angel Kitsui and white feathers fell in the wind the light was so pure that it began to heal Ayumu of her blindness.

Ayumu whimpered and squirmed in his grasp. She couldn't breathe and she slowly stopped moveing.

But she woke, and the forest was green instead of red. She looked over and saw another wolf lying on the ground and Kitsui. She crawled to the other wolf, whimpering and touching him with her nose. The she did the same to Kitsui.

She spun, and wagged teh stump of her tail and dropped down.

Angel Kitsui ran up to Ayumu then waved his hands over her casting a healing spell and suddenly the wounds she had vanished, her energy restored, and her tail had regenerated. Angel Kitsui sighed then went to heal the other wolf. After healing the other wolf he came back up to Ayumu. "I'm sorry you had to go through that, everything will be fine now." He told her as he brushed over her head with his hand and then kissed her forehead softly.

"No longer...Will I manifest such a darkness...I see that light inside now." Angel Kitsui thought to himself then watched over Ayumu and the other wolf. He turned his back to her and hung his head low starting to cry and his tears could be seen hitting the ground and his angel wings vanished and black flames dispersed from him as he returned to normal.

"I dont know what to do..." He shouted as he dropped to his knees holding his head crying out his heart sadly having his eyes closed tightly.
