Blooming Roses
Prolog
It all started when Carol broke up with him earlier that morning. She was mad that he had decided against showing up at the dance on Friday. Bikky was surprised when it didn't crush him, or send him off after her retreating form to apologize. He decided to skip school for the day, even if Ryo would kill him for it. He needed to think and he couldn't in this type of atmosphere. As Bikky made his way down the sidewalk, he bumped into Lai. "I thought you had school today like the rest of us, Lai?" Bikky replied.

"Power went out, we were let out for the day." Lai replied.

"Really? And wouldn't Lass be angry if you didn't run along with her?" Bikky asked.

"No, it's not like were 'together' if you know what I mean. Her and I are just friends is all." Lai replied.

"Really now?" Bikky arched and eyebrow up.

"More like a sister to me, than anything else. Why did you ask anyway?" Lai replied, glancing at Bikky.

"Oh, it's just that Carol broke up with me this morning. I was thinking about how I didn't feel hurt at all when she did so." Bikky replied.

"Really now?" Lai looked at Bikky with interest.

"I've been thinking maybe it's because I'm not really attracted to her." Bikky replied.

"True, I've heard my parents say that they broke up with other people and felt bad, sure, but not hurt by any means." Lai replied.

"Well, I do feel bad, for her, that is but... I don't feel hurt by the fact that it's over." Bikky replied.

Lai ran a hand through his locks of black hair. Before looking at Bikky carefully. "Maybe you'd better go for a walk in the park, man. Think it off." Lai suggested.

Bikky took his friend's suggestion, before heading into the apartment. He went into his bedroom and laid on the bed in silence. He suddenly heard his adoptive parents in the other room. "Oh.... Dee, come on, quit teasing!" He could hear his Father gasp out.

"I should be saying that to you, just it's your body that's teased me for the past couple days." Bikky now heard Dee.

He heard Ryo's panting and moaning, he'd heard it so many fucking times that he'd grown used to the sounds of his parents making out. Then, why did he want to think about it in detail now, of all times? He felt his pants get tighter with every moan and pant from the other room. He had to get out of here, quickly. Bikky knocked on the door to their room. "Dee? Is it okay if I use the shower at your place?" Bikky asked.

"Sure thing, just don't use my shampoo!" Dee called out over the whimpers from Ryou.

"Thanks." Bikky replied, quickly retreating the apartment.

Yes, Dee and Ryo still had separate apartments. On account that neither one was meant for more than two people. Plus, they had long ago agreed to wait to live with each other until they found a decent two bedroom apartment. Bikky walked down the street, trying to ignore his swollen member as he entered the all too familiar apartment. He went into the bathroom, undressing himself as he let the water warm up. He got into the spray of water when ready. Yes, this cooled off his desires as well as washed all worries away. Bikky started to hum while in the shower scrubbing his hair with the shampoo he'd brought over and just for spite, some of Dee's as well. He got out, toweling off and putting on the fresh clothing that was usually kept there for him. Yes, you might be surprised but Bikky does sometimes stay at Dee's. They have more in common than Ryo did, plus he liked how Dee understood him. Where he came from and such. They still fought over a few minor things, and still called each other names flicking each other off. But, that was just a way of understanding. Bikky smiled as he seen the one picture of himself that Ryo wanted to throw in the trash bin hanging on the wall. It was Dee that was behind the camera when that was taken it showed Bikky sticking out his tongue and flicking Dee off. He chuckled just thinking of what Dee said, the first time he actually wasn't mad that Bikky did that. "That one's going in the photo book! It captures who you really are." Dee explained.

Bikky shook his head at the memory of that. Then, there was a ringing of the phone. Bikky picked it up. "Hello?" Bikky asked.

"Hey, Bikky, Ryo figured you got uncomfortable while we were you know, in the room?" Dee's voice came over the line.

"Nah, I got over that a long while back." Bikky explained.

"Well, then what is it?" Dee asked.

"Nothing, I just sort of had to cool off, ya know?" Bikky replied.

"Looking at too much Playboy or something?" Dee asked.

"You.... Could say that." Bikky replied.

"Don't worry, I won't tell Ryo you said that." Dee stated.

"Thanks." Bikky replied.

After pausing, he spoke once again. "Hey, Dee? Why don't I stay over here for the night, let you two have some alone time? You know, for not ratting me out?" Bikky suggested.

"You do not realize how happy you just made me!" Dee replied, before hanging up.

Bikky shook his head, he grabbed his jacket, guessing it was time to go to a couples club. As he headed out the door he smiled. "Maybe I'll find a new date." Bikky told himself.
.....
Bikky walked down the streets of New York, not going towards the shady kind of clubs, but ones more in public, yet, still out of place. He'd dressed into a pair of tight leather pants (borrowed from Dee's closet.) which matched the trench coat that Ryo had gotten for him on his birthday that year. He also wore his sleeveless tank that had the words bad ass upon it's front. With his hair tied back into a ponytail as usual, he was ready. He stepped into the familiarity of the pulsating beat, flashing, colored lights and crowded area of the dance floor. This was where he could find a new face, a lovely one, hopefully. Bikky walked out like he owned the place. He got several cat calls and whistles from the ladies and men alike. He came up to a black, short haired beauty or so he thought when he started to dance behind the person. This person moaned at his teasing dance, Bikky smiled, this was the one. He carefully lead the girl out the back to a more secluded area. Only to realize it was Lai standing there when he got outside. Lai didn't seem to notice it was Bikky. But, the way his flushed lips moved while trying to start a conversation, the curve of his hips. Bikky couldn't help but become swept away in the darkened depths of the man's eyes. Bikky was soon lead away from the crowded area of the club and into Central Park. Time stood still, the world around the two of them ceasted to exist. As Lai, still unknowing it was Bikky, took his chin and tilted it to face his. Then, a brushing of lips, a test at first. Bikky felt himself slipping into the feeling as Lai made it more passionate. They pulled away from each other carefully. Befor Lai spoke. "I would like to get to know more about you, but, I haven't much time tonight. Could you meet me here next Friday maybe? You could tell me who you are then, perhaps?" Lai asked.

Bikky managed a nod, before Lai was gone, sprinting back to where he'd come from. Bikky pressed his fingers to his mouth before he suddenly realized Lai hadn't known it had been him. He couldn't help it, he'd fallen for his best freind, and this would make things worse by the fact of Ryo being the concerned parent he was.... Bikky decided, quickly that Dee was the only one he could trust with such a huge secret, besides Dee would understand better than anyone. Bikky, drowning himself in pity had trouble getting to sleep at all. Soon, before he knew it, Dee came prancing into the bedroom with a smile a mile long pasted upon his face. However, when he noticed Bikky laying there, looking like shit, he frowned slightly. "Hey, kiddo, what's up with you? Hm?" Dee asked.

"I.... I wanted to talk with you...." Bikky replied, simply.

"'Bout what, Bikky?" Dee asked, now sitting at the foot of the bed.

"Well, Carol ended our relationship a day or so ago, so last night, after you called I decided to go to a club." Bikky began.

"To meet a new someone, eh?" Dee guessed.

"Hm- hmn and I found them too, but, it felt so different from when I was with Carol." Bikky replied.

"What kind of different?" Dee asked.

"Different like I was half of something made whole for the first time last night." Bikky replied.

"Did you kiss?" Dee asked.

"Yes," Bikky blushed at remembering perfectly soft and demanding lips touching his, igniting a fire deep within. "Just.... A little one.... No tongue either..."

"Tell me about them." Dee replied.

"Well, you see... They are somebody you already know.... They look really pretty but only with a ruffness behind that face and... Soft, yet strong hands that wrap around me...." Bikky began to feel himself slipping away until Dee's voice brought him back to reality.

"We're talking about someone that you know, and are afraid to tell the truth too, aren't we?" Dee asked.

"Yeah." Bikky replied.

"They know you personally, but didn't know it was you last night right?" Dee inquired.

"Were you spying on me last night, or something?" Bikky asked.

"No, just have a good sense of intuition." Dee replied.

"So, what should I do?" Bikky replied.

"Well, tell her what you think about her, man, don't leave her hanging around, someone else might snatch her away." Dee replied.

Bikky thought about correcting Dee's obvious mistake, but decided against it. That loud mouth might go off and tell Ryo without meaning to...
