Bikky looked at Lai from the corner of his eye as they lay there, together, years later. “Hey, Lai, you awake?” Bikky asked, quietly.
“No, you?” Lai inquired.
“Nah,” Bikky replied. “I’ve been contemplating what it’ll be like living together finally.”
“Don’t worry about it, we’ll be just fine. With my brother covering house payments and our new jobs now that we’re out of the academy, we’ll be well on our way to a good future.” Lai replied.
“Well, let’s not worry about it too much right now.” Bikky replied.
“Why?” Lai responded.
“Because, we’re going to pick up our son tomorrow from the orphanage right?” Bikky replied.
“Of course, we shouldn’t be worrying about that much either, Bik. We’re going to do just fine raising him. I’m just glad we found him before any normal family snatched him up. His powers might have faded from ill use if we hadn’t intervened.” Lai murmered.
“It’s going to be a beautiful life together.” Bikky muttered.
