Trial By Fire
Chapter 6
`One real beer,' Dee was thinking. Hell, he'd been pulled from off duty with more than one beer in him. Ryo was not letting them take any chances and insisted on no alcohol while they were working. Dee relented without a fight when Ryo pointed out that they were having other fun better than drinking. `Damn him for having a point.” He let out a sigh, taking another sip from his non-alcohol drink - cola with a twist of lime - as he sat in a bar. He knew there was a difference between looking over a scene where the crime had already happened and being in a situation waiting for the crime to happen. He sighed into his soft drink, then indulged in yet another cigarette.
He looked over to the bar, his eyes resting on Ryo. His partner was leaning against the bar, waiting. For their non-alcohol drinks! Ryo was engaged in conversation with a man sitting on a stool next to where Ryo stood. Part of their job was to strike conversation. Ryo was the talker this stop. He insisted on it, since Dee was in the last two.
The guy next to Ryo had long blond hair and big muscles bulging out of his mesh sleeveless shirt. He had tanned skin the shade that came compliments of a tanning salon. Dee would not be surprised if the man used steroids to get to the build he was in. He could not make out the color of the man's eyes but as he moved his head from behind Ryo's trim, lean form with compact muscles, Dee noticed something cold and hard about them. He seemed friendly enough as he spoke to Ryo, and they even shared a couple of laughs, yet there was something Dee did not like about him.
Suddenly Dee sat up straight in his seat when the man placed a large hand on Ryo's bare arm. Dee made out Ryo's blush in the dim lighting, then him saying something indicating toward the table where Dee sat. The man leaned back to look over and Dee raised an eyebrow in warning, while he nodded his head slightly. He reminded himself one more time that night not to get up and smash whoever hit on Ryo to a pulp. They had a job to do. Those dark, hard eyes glimmered in a way that made Dee feel uneasy. Dee decided he definitely did not like him, and even less for hitting on Ryo.
The man smiled back at Dee, looking predatory, then said something that made his brown haired lover turn bright red even in the dim lights. Thankfully the bartender set their drinks down before Ryo. The embarrassed man quickly paid for them and grabbing the glasses, stammered something to the man.
Dee watched as Ryo quickly made his way back to the table with their drinks. He set the glasses down and dropped in his seat heavily.
“Guess I didn't scare him off?” Dee ventured, leaning over, concerned for his lover.
Ryo shook his head. “Opposite. He suggested a… a… t-three way.”
“Bastard!” Dee growled, then as their eyes met, Ryo seemed to relax in the gaze. Ryo's look calmed him from getting up - and most probably end up as a pulp himself from messing with that guy. He suddenly burst out in laughter. “Don't worry,” he remarked at Ryo's uncertain look. “I'm not interested.”
Ryo sat back and let out a shaky chuckle. “I told him I was only interested in you. I thought I made that clear. Not `I'd be interested in him if you were there'.”
“Well, there's all types.” Dee reached across the table to take Ryo's hand. “Baby, I can do this.”
Ryo shook his head. “I - I need to….”
“You exceeded yourself tonight. I'm proud of you. I think you might have exceeded me at that stage - way back when. I can't remember, but I think you did. If not, then came very close.” He winked at Ryo and gave him an encouraging smile.
Ryo laughed warmly now, his face flushed from the odd compliments Dee was bestowing upon him. “And here I was thinking you were born exclaiming, `Yo! I'm bi!'”
Dee smiled and chuckled, before letting out a sigh. “I make it out that I did, but if only it was that easy. Which is why I'm not going to push you. And I'm going to decide when to call it a good night and stop you. If I have to, I'll make it a professional call.” He did not want Ryo to push too far for concern of the man he loved, but he also had the case to think about and did not need Ryo to have an overload or meltdown to cause them to blow their cover.
“I trust your judgment Dee,” was all Ryo replied softly. “But I'm fine right now.”
Dee smiled. Ryo was trying hard, trying to act as if he was not getting flustered. There were a few times he did manage to play it cool. He was trying for himself and for them. Dee could see that. He also knew Ryo was a good detective and was putting his all in getting the job done well. Coming from a different angle, but sometimes Ryo's enthusiasm to get the job done caused him to do something reckless just as Dee's own enthusiasm to make scum pay would make him.
Ryo started to drink his ginger ale, while Dee sat back and watched him. He shook his head when his partner was not looking. For the sake of the case, Dee realized he had to access his own feelings of the night. He found himself going between thinking it was a good idea to take this case after all, enjoying some of the moments with Ryo he never thought he'd be sharing so soon. Then there were other moments of wanting the night to end, wishing to get away, back to what was normal and safe for him, and not so depressing. Dee had his reasons for avoiding this scene, and when he was not up to his arms with Ryo, a part of his mind kept reminding him what they were as he paid more attention to his surroundings than he wanted.
“Dee? You all right?” he was brought out of his musings by Ryo's voice.
He shook his head and gave Ryo a small smile. “Sure. Just wishing I could have a real beer.”
Ryo frowned. “You know you can't drink. You don't want to go through that again, do you?”
Dee shook his head and lit another cigarette. “No.” Reformed alcoholic was Dee's excuse for not drinking. He grimaced. He may have drank a lot in the past but was not close. Except for a few late days, it never got in the way with his job, never interfered with his life. He took small solace that Ryo agreed to say they met at an AA meeting. How sweet. They made sure it was said at least once in every bar they were in, just in case someone was watching them, finding it suspicious that they did not order alcohol.
He realized Ryo was standing up.
“Nature call,” Ryo stated.
“Watch yourself,” Dee remarked, realizing this was the first time Ryo had to take a leak all night. At Ryo's annoyed glare, he added, “Seriously.”
Ryo shook his head and smiled, leaning down over Dee. “I won't let the big bad sex monsters eat me up,” he whispered and lightly kissed Dee.
“If you're sure,” Dee smiled. He watched Ryo head in the direction of the restrooms, down a hallway in the back. He shook his head, realizing his cigarette had smoldered down to the butt in the ashtray and lit another. He glanced around the bar in idle study, keeping his ears open. He noticed the big guy from the bar come over to a very pretty type boy sitting by himself. `Don't fall for it, kid,' Dee thought, then had to look away as the boy seemed to fall for all the right moves. He wondered if the boy should have been there in the first place. He looked too young to be legal. The hook-up happened so fast. Boy wanted man. Man wanted boy. The man's big hand was already roughly groping the boy at the table.
Movement in the corner of his eye from the direction of the hallway made Dee turn in time to notice two giggling, very drunk men pawing each other as they staggered their way out from the hallway. Dee had to laugh, but it was cut short. The reason why he warned Ryo was now staggering on past his table. His eyes went back to the new hook up and he had a bad feeling about it. Perhaps he and Ryo should have taken up that offer for a three-way, then depended on Ryo's shyness to get them out of it. He wanted to follow them as he realized the man was standing up. Dee winced as the man reached down and lifted the boy off the seat by grabbing him by his crotch. Dee shut his eyes as he placed his hand to his head.
He hated places like this. He had no problems with the gay community in general, but there was a reason he had always insisted he was bi and never allowed anyone to think he was gay. Not only because he had women and was once interested in them. He finally made his choice when he fell in love with Ryo, but he still called himself bi. The day before talking to Diana about the case, Dee finally had to admit he would have only one person for the rest of his life, and that person was male. That would make him gay. Yet, there were many reasons why he had problems associating himself with that word. What he just watched was one of them.
He hated this case. Damn Diana!
Suddenly his table was being knocked over and he found himself with one of the drunk men falling face first into his lap. Dee jumped up with a yelp, watching as the man continued to slide down to the floor.
“Hey, sorry about that man,” the other said, going over to help pick up his lover, and not making much progress.
“Uh, yeah. Guess you didn't see the table,” Dee said, bending over to give them a hand. Another pair of arms appeared and helped untangle the two, the first one now trying to use Dee's legs for leverage. Dee did not miss the groping going on. He managed to haul the other to his feet about the same time a hand hovered above his crotch. Thankfully it was a matter of seconds before Ryo pulled him to stand with the other, placing himself between them and Dee. He had a look in his eyes that dared any of the two men to attempt to touch Dee.
“Let me buy you both drinks, man. Sorry,” the first one said, eyes staring hungrily at Dee.
Ryo placed a possessive arm around Dee's waist. “Thanks,” Ryo was saying when Dee found no sound coming out of his mouth. “But we're on our way out of here anyway.”
As the two men staggered toward the door, Dee turned his head. Muscles and the boy were gone. He felt faint.
“Dee?” He felt Ryo's arm grip him tighter. “Are you okay? You're pale.”
“I-I just need some air.”
Ryo gripped his arm tighter and lead them toward the door the previous two couples left from. Outside, Ryo leaned Dee against a car as he took a gulp of fresh air. “My cigarettes. I left them inside.”
Ryo was going to say for Dee to leave them, to point out that he could survive long enough to reach the corner and go into the smoke shop. He looked at Dee's face and said none of those. “Stay here. I'll be out in less than a minute.”
Dee slumped against the car as Ryo rushed back into the bar. Damn, he hated places like that. People like…. He shook his head. He did not want to be prejudiced. He never had been in his life. If nothing else, Ryo pointed out that he was on the extreme optimist side in wanting everyone to get along. Yet he could not shake the feeling that some of those men around them gave him. It made his skin itch. It opened old wounds that Dee had believed long healed and forgotten.
He noticed Ryo coming out of the bar again. Dee watched as Ryo opened the pack and took out a cigarette, holding it out. With shaky hands, Dee reached for it, placed it in his mouth and allowed Ryo to light it for him. Then Ryo tucked both lighter and pack into Dee's shirt pocket. He leaned against the car next to Dee and placed his arm around his shoulder. “I still couldn't allow you to drink, no matter how badly you look like you needed one. So the least I could do was….” He gestured to the cigarette Dee was roughly taking ragged drags from.
Dee nodded, continuing to smoke. Ryo remained holding him.
“They're gone, Ryo,” Dee finally spoke softly when he finished his cigarette, dropping the butt on the ground and stomping it out with a black cowboy boot.
“Who?”
“The kid and Mr. 3-Way.”
“It was bound to happen. He was looking for some action and found it.”
“The kid looked under 18.”
Ryo sucked in his breath.
“Maybe I'm just overreacting. I didn't like how the guy treated the kid from what I saw. It made me think of how he would have roughed you up if he had his chance.”
“I would have socked him,” Ryo said through clenched teeth.
“W-when he lifted that kid up by his crotch, I about lost it then. I wanted to get that kid away from him. I started to wish that we did say yes, then found a way out of it. Anything. Then those two drunks came crashing down on the table. When the table fell to the side, one of them landed right in my lap and decided to take advantage of it. He was with another guy, the guy standing right there and he opened his mouth to….” He was babbling, he knew it, but he could not stop himself.
Ryo leaned his head against Dee's. His arm slipped from his lover's shoulders to his waist. “It was more than there also being a selection of women to pick from, wasn't it?” Ryo asked gently, his tone saying he already knew the answer. Ryo moved his other arm across Dee's front and held him closer.
“In the later years, that was why. But yeah, there's a reason why I stay away from here. Walking the streets during the day is one thing, but walking around at night, seeing what comes out from underground….” Dee shuddered. He opened his mouth to say more, but nothing came out. He sighed, his shoulders slumping more. “Ryo, wait,” he pleaded softly. “Please.”
Ryo was shocked, wondering what Dee was telling him to wait about, then he understood. “You don't have to tell me anything at anytime if you don't want to. I won't leave you no matter what.” He kissed the side of Dee's head, then watched as Dee took out another cigarette. At least his hands were not shaking anymore.
“I guess Muscles and the kid are not in sight? Maybe they went to the piers?” Dee started to glance up and down the street, as if looking for them.
Ryo bit his lip. This was the part that he hated most about their jobs. It hurt him, but they had a job to do. He turned his head to speak softly into Dee's ear. “We can't, love. We have our orders. Stick to the assignment. Anything else we notice, we write up reports. The local detectives will determine if it's worth looking into or not.”
“I know. I hate writing fuckin' reports,” Dee said, starting to sound a bit more like himself.
“Sshhh. Lower, baby.” He studied Dee for a moment. “If you want, we can find a quiet place to call Diana and tell her about it?”
Dee shook his head. He started to shake and as he pulled away from Ryo, it was obvious he was angry. “Why? What could she do? Call the fuckin' police? What will they do? No money was exchanged. No illegal substances. They're going to go hunt down a boy getting molested by some asshole only because he was under 18 and entered a bar? Fuck that!” Dee started to walk away from Ryo, looking around.
Ryo jumped up off the car, seeing Dee's act was too good even for him. Something was deeply troubling Dee and that boy triggered it. “Dee!” Ryo grabbed him by his arm and pulled him into a doorway, pressing him against the door to keep him from going off.
“Let go of me, Ryo. If they won't do anything, I will!” Dee was on a mission, a dangerous one and in a rage.
“We can't save everyone, even if we want to. I know you hate that. I hate it too. It sucks, but that's the truth,” Ryo stated firmly, his hands on Dee's upper arms, keeping him against the door in the doorway. “We have to deal with that or else we'll lose our reasoning. Then what, Dee? They pull us off the force. Where does that leave us? What then when we can no longer do even the little good we do?” He grabbed Dee by his shoulders and shook him. “Then what, Dee?” he insisted.
Dee's eyes watered and he suddenly reached out to pull Ryo into a hug, pressing him against him. “You're right. I usually know that. I'm the one who looks like the hardened bastard who doesn't care about anyone other than what shows up in a folder on my desk. Only because of what you said. I have to be that way to do my job.”
“It sucks, Dee. You know I know that too well. Sometimes it's the worse feeling ever, and it's hard to go on, but I do, Dee. You do. Because we both know it's better than nothing.”
Dee rested his head on Ryo's shoulder. “I know. I'm sorry for going off like that.”
Ryo ran his fingers through Dee's dark hair. “I'm going to take it that this was not one of your normal tirades just for the sake of bitching. So forget about it. Unless it happens again. Then we have a problem.”
Dee looked at his watch over Ryo's shoulder. “Closing time. I don't want to risk the piers again tonight. So how about we start heading over to the apartment?”
“Yeah. I think we need to call it a night,” Ryo agreed. “Are you sure you're okay?”
“Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine.”
While they were a short walk from Dee's apartment, they set out toward a closer address Diana had furnished them with that afternoon. They headed south on Hudson Street, with it's closing sidewalk cafes and bars, making sure they were not being followed. They held hands, looking in windows of cafes, Ryo making notes of places he would like to go to for dinner or maybe lunch. He noted with relief that Dee seemed to shake off whatever had a hold on him.
“So um,” Dee started to ask as he light another cigarette. “Did you see anything interesting while using the restrooms?”
Ryo laughed, shaking his head. “They were singles. One for men, one for women. I'm standing in the hall waiting for the men's room to be empty when suddenly the women's room door opens and those two I rescued you from come tumbling out giggling and groping.”
“Bet you blushed,” Dee chuckled. “I tried to warn you.”
“No bet. But then….” He turned his head to Dee. “I flushed. I started to think….”
“Oh hell, no way!” Dee laughed. “Don't you dare try something like that, Ryo. Because I won't say no despite the chances that the one time a cop decides to do a bathroom check it'll be us in there.”
“That's what I thought too. It would most probably be someone who would recognize us, too.”
“Definitely.” Dee placed his arm around Ryo's waist. “I don't know how you do it, but I'm loving it. You're still the sweet and darling man I fell for, but boy is there another side of you.” Dee licked his lips.
Ryo smiled and met Dee's mouth halfway. “Only for you, Dee.”
“I'm a lucky man,” Dee grinned. “I love you.”
Somehow it felt like one of those special moments to Ryo. He wanted to express himself in another way than the same old to Dee. He quickly went through the Japanese he did know, knowing it would be something special to Dee. Dee had noticed his eyes because of his part Japanese heritage, insisted on learning and then calling him by his Japanese name. It was the end of his co-workers and friends calling him Randy, and the start of his being known as Ryo. Dee had admitted it was the start of his falling deeply in love with his then new partner. And it was his eyes because of his mother's heritage that had started it all. So it felt appropriate for Ryo to gaze up at Dee and say what he decided on. “Aishiteru, Dee.”
Dee's eyes grew warm as his hand holding Ryo's tightened. He pulled his hand from their clasp and placing his arm around Ryo's waist, pulled him in for a brief kiss. As he pulled away from the kiss and they continued on their way down the street, Dee chuckled, his eyes meeting Ryo's eyes. His face turned solemn. “Issho-ni yoake-no kohi nomanai?”*
Ryo's mouth dropped opened and his eyes got wide. “You're terrible, Dee,” he stated slowly. Dee pronounced it almost flawlessly and Ryo knew there was a lot of practice put into it, then waiting for just the right moment. Particularly from the wicked glint in Dee's eyes.
Dee grinned, hugging Ryo close. “So?”
Ryo laughed. “Of course I'll have coffee with you tomorrow morning.”
“And?”
“Of course I'm going to sleep with you until then. Wherever do you pick up these phrases from?” Dee had tossed out a couple others just as bad over the time Ryo had known him.
Dee laughed and winked. “I'll never tell you. But I did notice you knew exactly what I said. I doubt your mother taught you that one.” He watched as Ryo blushed. He laughed again. “C'mon and let's check in with Mother Hen.”
“So we can earn our morning coffee?”
“Most definitely!” Dee agreed.
Arm in arm, they turned the corner at Morton to a building halfway down the block.
-- -- --
Inside the apartment, they greeted Diana and wrote out notes, while discussing observations over coffee. They made special mention of the five, along with the incident with the cop. Ryo blushed through the entire thing, but kept his voice steady as he added his own thoughts about it. They also mentioned the muscle guy at the bar. There were others, along with shady dealings they wanted to file reports on so they jotted down their notes.
Diana observed them both, to judge how they were handling the case. On the whole, Ryo seemed fine playing his part, and even seemed just a little more confident. He still had a ways to go, but she could see he was on the road to total acceptance of who he was and, knowing Ryo, there would be no turning back. In her study of Dee, however, she made a mental note as he spoke about the muscle man and his picking up the boy. He mentioned the boy looking to be underage, but admitted he could not be sure these days. He made a few wooden jokes, but that was the problem. Dee was acting like his usual self, with emphasis on acting. Ryo also seemed to hover protectively closer to Dee while they spoke about it. They were leaving some things out. Both of them. She frowned as she went to get them more coffee. Oddly enough, she found herself planning to talk to Dee alone the next day, find out what his problem was and if it would affect the case.
As talk turned to other points and observations, she saw Dee relax more, but his guard was still up. At one point the two completely confused her when Dee lifted his coffee mug and said to Ryo, “This doesn't count I hope?”
Ryo looked confused for a moment, then burst out in laughter. “No. No it doesn't Dee. You're not getting out of it that easy.”
Dee's eyes went wide, then he grinned, green eyes glittery.
They were told it would be best to stay there until morning when they would go to the precinct to file their reports. Then they would have the rest of the day off until 7, when they would meet back at the apartment before going out on their rounds again.
When Ryo went into the bathroom, Diana grabbed Dee. She still intended to speak to him about his own dealings the next day somehow, but she wanted Dee's opinion on something.
“So now that you came up with your covers and allowed it, and you both spent a night undercover,” Diana asked Dee as they sat at the table, “how do you feel Ryo is handling it? Do you think he'll be able to stick to it?”
Dee nodded. “Yeah. He'll stay on it to the end. He's doing better than we both expected. We keep forgetting about how tough he is inside. And stubborn. Honestly, the only thing that worries me is him pushing himself too far when he doesn't have to. I'm afraid if that happens, then we'll have a problem. Both personal and for the case.”
“I take it you're making sure that doesn't happen,” Diana said. Just a statement of fact, not a question.
Dee nodded. “Yeah. I'm on it. I know the case is important, but I don't want him to get burned. It could affect him adversely and who knows what type of man we'll end up with. I don't want to see him get hurt. I've watched too many new to the scene push and push, enthusiastic and stubborn, only to get slapped down really hard.”
Diana's eyes were on Dee. “This happen to someone really close to you, Dee?”
“Yeah. Very. A long, long time ago. “
Something told Diana to stop right there. “That's too bad, Dee. It's a shame when things like that happen to anyone.”
“I know. Which is why I'm making sure Ryo stays okay.”
They looked up when Ryo stepped out of the shower and looked over to Dee. “Your turn.” They watched as Ryo went into the room she had for them.
-- -- -- --
When Dee was showered and crawling into the bed in the darkened room, he doubted they were going to do anything other than sleep. Even he felt a little strange knowing Diana was sleeping in the room across the small hallway, aware that he was crawling into the same bed as his partner.
So he was surprised when, as he went to carefully hug Ryo and snuggle down for sleep, to feel his partner press his back against him. Dee let out a sigh as he lightly kissed Ryo's neck. “Ryo, I know that this might be awkward, but I've got a serious awkward situation myself.” Dee would understand if Ryo said no. It was not as if they went without earlier that day before going to work.
He waited a few seconds in the quiet as he held his love to him, feeling Ryo pressing closer. Ryo sighed then muttered, “I'll try to be quiet, Dee.”
Dee laughed softly. “Well, we can make that a goal.” His hand ran down along Ryo's side.
Ryo turned so they were face to face. “I hope that's not your only goal here?”
“Of course not,” Dee grinned, moving his head to take Ryo's mouth with his.
-- -- --
Dee grazed his lips across Ryo's neck, pausing to concentrate on a spot right at the base of neck and shoulder, using teeth and tongue.
Ryo moaned, hands that were roaming Dee's back paused, as fingers dug into muscles. “Yeah, Dee,” Ryo sighed, licking his lips. “Right there.”
Dee smiled as he continued to concentrate a little more, before widening his circle. His tongue lapped around the area until teeth clamped down, tugged a small amount of flesh before he started to suck on the spot.
Ryo arched up, letting loose another moan, his erection rubbing against Dee's. They were supposed to be short and sweet, quick and quiet. Diana was in the next room. While she knew about them, both agreed they did not want her to know that much. Ryo wondered at his bold, brazen attitude that night. He should have pushed Dee off him the moment his lover made his intentions clear. Ryo sighed as Dee nuzzled his way to the other side of Ryo's neck, his body draped over Ryo's, chest to chest, cock to cock, with Dee's legs on the outer side of Ryo's.
Ryo knew he wanted it as much as Dee, had hoped Dee would reach out for him in the darkened room. Ryo marveled at how they almost passed up this case. For six hours, they had gotten paid to be the lovers they were, sharing love. They touched, kissed and teased each other all night long. Ryo knew there was no way he would be able to just snuggle into Dee and fall asleep. He was glad he knew Dee enough that despite his own reservations, which Ryo sensed by the cautious and hesitant way Dee got into the bed, his partner would not succumb to any shy lapses that Ryo was best known for and take control of the situation once he knew it was what they both wanted.
After Ryo had turned in Dee's arms so they were face to face, they planned out their best way of work off the energy in between kisses which left them both flushed and craving for more.
Short and sweet, quick and quiet was the agreement. Dee was nuzzling Ryo's chin before taking his mouth for another deep penetrating kiss that made Ryo's head spin. From the sigh that escaped from Dee's mouth, he figured Dee was feeling the same as Ryo returned the kiss with fervor. His hands had gone up to Dee's head, tangling fingers in dark, thick hair as he pressed onto Dee's head, wanting their lips to merge, their bodies soon to follow. He wanted to be one with Dee.
He should have known Dee was not one for short. Sweet, yes. There were times Dee could be very sweet, and Ryo felt that sweetness every time they made love. When Dee would pause to say he loved him, to stop and gaze lovingly deep in Ryo's eyes, to take the time and make sure Ryo was ready before inserting his large tool deep within Ryo. Yes, Dee would be sweet, very sweet, but not short. Dee did not take the short way, especially when it came to exploring Ryo's body, making it hum with love and passion. So definitely not quick either. Dee's mouth moved from Ryo's to graze on the other side of his neck, lapping up every inch of skin, stopping to suckle areas he knew was particularly sensitive to Ryo. Dee loved to take his time, revel in each moment, make it last as long as he could before moving to the next. There were times when with Dee, Ryo swore time stood still. Dee also believed in assuring Ryo came at least once before he gave into achieving his own satisfaction. More times than not, when Dee finally reached that pinnacle to slide into the abyss of lightening struck satisfaction, Ryo would find himself once more tumbling with Dee.
Quiet... Dee's mouth moved down to his chest, his tongue still doing its exploration, causing every nerve in Ryo's body that it roamed over to tingle before setting on fire. A hand swept over one of Ryo's nipples, as Dee blew hot air on Ryo's chest where he had just finished lapping. Ryo threw his head back and let out a loud moan, hands dropping to his sides, fingers clenching the sheets. He arched his body up, feeling the slick sensation of weeping hardness clashing against the like.
“Oh God, Dee!” he moaned. “That feels so good.” His hands went to Dee's back again, fingers running over shoulders and down shoulder blades, feeling smooth, taut muscle rippling in delight at his touch. Dee's mouth clamped down on a nipple as his fingers caught the other one. With fingers and tongue, he worked both nipples, making him moan more, longer, louder. Ryo's fingers dug into Dee, then massaged, causing Dee to let out a deep quiet moan over his nipple, which in turn made Ryo tremor.
“Shit Dee! I'm not going to hold out longer,” he said in short ragged breaths. “Just do it.”
Dee lifted his head, eyes looking up to meet Ryo's in the darkness. “Do what?”
Ryo's hands grabbed the globes of Dee's smooth round ass and with fingers kneading the flesh, he shoved Dee down as he pushed himself up. He was moaning again, his eyes rolled back and closed as he licked his lips. Slick hardness fought for supremacy as Ryo started to move his hips in a rhythm that caused their cocks to slide against each other, fingers digging deeper into Dee's flesh.
Dee's head lifted more as his back arched, lifting his upper chest off Ryo as he let out a strangled cry. Ryo found himself chuckling. For being the adventurous one, Dee was mostly quiet except when he talked. His sighs were soft, his moans deep and long but not loud. His responses mostly came from his body. That body's lower half had picked up Ryo's rhythm. Dee moaned low again as he rested his elbows on the mattress on each side of Ryo and used them for leverage to pick himself up more, his lower half still in a dance with Ryo's. “Oh God, Ryo. That's feels so good.” He pushed with his knees a little for balance and one hand slid down from Ryo's chest to that spot that was still sliding and rubbing, the friction driving them both mad. As his hand made for its target, one of Ryo's left Dee's ass and slapped it away.
“No,” Ryo croaked out. “Don't. I'm so close, Dee,” he moaned, lost in the sensations. His other hand left Dee's ass as both hands took Dee's head again and Ryo reached over to take the luscious full lips in a deep kiss. He moved his mouth across Dee's face. “F-fuck me, Dee. Now!”
He felt Dee pause, his movement coming to a complete halt and Ryo felt the surge of panic and fear rush through his lover's body. Ryo chuckled and reached over to the nightstand. His hand found the target immediately. He felt Dee start to relax again, heard his rueful chuckle as he took up the rhythm again.
“I'm a damn fool,” Dee whispered.
“You're a damn cute fool,” Ryo sighed, kissing Dee's face again as his arms were around his lover again, opening the bottle and pouring a generous amount of lube on his hands, making sure his fingers were thoroughly situated. “Kneel back. This is going to be short and quick.” He felt Dee oblige.
Dee cried out and bit his lip as his body shivered in anticipation as he felt Ryo grasp his cock and coat it completely with the gel that was now warmed from Ryo's hands. Ryo pumped him as he made sure Dee was sufficiently lubed for what Ryo was suggesting without words.
He knew Dee caught on as he bent over, hooking Ryo's legs by his knees and pushing them back. When Ryo released Dee's throbbing erection, he used his hands to help position himself. The head of Dee's cock poked at Ryo's entrance. Dee sighed and Ryo wiggled, pushing down. “I survived rougher,” Ryo panted, reminding Dee of their second time together. “Go for it, baby. Fill me.”
“I love you, Ryo,” Dee sighed, moving to better position himself for a quick and deep penetration. Ryo released his hold on his legs as he felt Dee slice through him until he was completely buried within Ryo's tight, slightly protesting cavern, his balls slapping up against Ryo's ass. He let out a long, deep growl of pleasure at the sensation. “Holy shit,” he moaned. “I could stay like this forever.”
Ryo reached down to grasp his own cock, rubbing a fingertip along the slit on the head and let out another moan. “I could let you,” Ryo panted.
They looked at each other, eyes meeting in the dim coming from the lighted city beyond the blinds of their room. They shared a grin as Dee's hand joined Ryo's. A calloused fingertip slid up from the base of Ryo's cock along the throbbing vein. Ryo swore immediately after he moaned, and Dee's finger ran along the rim below the head. He finally took a couple of small test strokes within Ryo, his hips moving slightly. Ryo groaned, arching again, hands relinquishing control of his own cock to Dee's deft fingers. He reached up to grab Dee's shoulders, pulling him down as they started up their rhythm again, this time Dee deep within Ryo, hitting the pleasure zone that made Ryo cry out. Dee fell into a mantra of, “So good, so tight,” until Ryo pulled him to so their mouths could meet.
“I love you, Ryo,” Dee sighed before taking his mouth, his tongue meeting Ryo's.
Ryo pulled his mouth from the kiss, gasping. “Love you too,” before sucking in Dee's sweet, hot tongue for another kiss. He felt the waves build up, gather and slowly spread out in a sensation that left him moaning loud. Then after Dee made several long, hard strokes in quick succession he felt the waves hit him. His body shuddered as his nerves cried out from too much pleasure. He opened his mouth as Dee hit that spot again hard, letting out a growl of his own. He felt Dee shudder as his own balls constricted and his weeping cock throbbed angrily. He let out a loud, harsh cry as he came, spurting creamy milk-like fluid all over their stomachs. He felt Dee push over the edge a second later. Dee clamped down with teeth onto Ryo's shoulder as he started to fill Ryo. His mouth moved away as his upper back arched up, pounding a few more times, Ryo's hands now on his ass, helping him drive in deeper, a hand slipped down between Dee's legs and squeezing his sac, making sure it all filled him. Dee cried out again, a little louder than his usual, then let out a swear as he collapsed onto Ryo.
He took a shuddering breath. “Damn.”
“Yeah,” Ryo replied breathlessly. Dee was still in, softening, but had no desire to move yet. Ryo welcomed it as his stroked sticky fingers down Dee's back.
“That was pretty good for quick,” Dee whispered lazily into the crook of Ryo's neck, his eyes closing.
“Hard, too,” Ryo added, his hands still caressing Dee's back. The body on him was still humming from the aftershocks of his orgasm. Ryo understood it as his own body felt on fire with passion's fingers stroking them.
“SShhh,” Dee remarked. “You might give it more ideas.”
For a few minutes quiet settled over the room, except for heavy breathing as the two men tried to catch their breath. Finally with a groan, Dee moved, sliding out of Ryo and positioning his body to lay next to Ryo, pulling him close with his arms. Their mouths met again for several long, lazy kisses before Dee rested his head on Ryo's chest and Ryo tightened his hold.
“I think there was a problem with quiet,” Dee said softly. “But you're not quiet.” He chuckled tenderly and kissed Ryo's chest closest to his mouth.
“I - I wasn't exactly the silent type like you,” Ryo stated, nuzzling Dee's hair, “but with you, I can't help myself. You make me want to scream, Dee.”
“I love you too,” Dee sighed.
“Geez, I hope we didn't wake Diana,” Ryo moaned.
Dee laughed, lifting his head to look at Ryo. “We'll deal. She had to know what she was getting into when she told us we were staying here instead of going home.” He raised an eyebrow and gave Ryo an impish smile. “Maybe she wanted to listen in?”
Dee laughed as Ryo's face heated up. “Shit Ryo,” Dee laughed. “Oh Ryo with your face so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight.”
“I'll guide your sleigh,” Ryo growled playfully, but blushed more. “Besides, I think I remember the room lighting up a little when someone realized he forgot about the lube.” Ryo laughed as Dee dropped his head and buried his face in Ryo's chest. His shivered as Dee's laugh rumbled against him.
“I'm glad one of us thinks ahead.” Dee lifted his head again. “You were carrying that with you all night?” he asked in curiosity.
Ryo shook his head. “No. I found it in bathroom. I brought it in with me when I got out of the bathroom.” They both looked at each other for a moment.
“Eeeewwww!” Dee exclaimed and shuddered.
“Relax,” Ryo laughed. “It was unopened. I think she anticipated our needs and made sure one of us saw it.”
Dee stared at Ryo with his mouth hanging open, his eyes wide. He finally worked his jaw and asked, “You gonna be able to face her tomorrow?”
Ryo sighed. “Probably not, but I'm going to have to.”
“Yeah. No choice, huh? That woman wants to see us, we never had a chance.”
“You're right. But I am going to have to thank her for saving a moment for us.”
Dee laughed and leaned over to kiss Ryo. “Guess I'm going to also.”
A/N: Issho-ni yoake-no kohi nomanai is Japanese for asking to have sex with someone. Being a polite people, it is asked if the person would like to have morning coffee, which is the literal translation, with the intention of staying overnight and `earning' that coffee.
