Trial By Fire
Chapter 9
Four nights later they were no closer to getting above the street level of names. The names they obtained lead to dead ends on finding the central supplier. The three teams were keeping the FBI busy taking in suspects. Questioning revealed that they believed it to be normal poppers that they shared with their friends. Some of the victims dead had bought the drug to use themselves. In the last two days, both NY and LA had multiple deaths in one scene. Dee and Ryo were informed of the victims found, but they stayed clear of the NY crime scene. They had their cover to protect. Diana took a chance with the boy because he fit the description Dee gave her that night he was killed.
Their days were spent going out and roaming around undercover until after closing time for most bars. Then back to the apartment Diana provided for a few hours to file their reports. They would then leave for one of their apartments. They had stopped going to the precinct. Everything they had to file, they did from Diana's apartment, which was the official base of operations for the case. Diana reported in the long hours and paperwork they did for each day to Commissioner Rose. When they would show up at Diana's at the start of their shift, they would find themselves in a conference call with the other local detectives. The number of deaths was rising between all cities, and San Francisco was added. Diana had went over possible local detectives from the San Francisco police with Ryo and Dee, then sent someone the chosen detectives were familiar with to get them aboard. For the first couple of days, Dee and Ryo spent extra long hours getting the new team up to par and able to do their job.
Morrow would contact them with any information he thought they might use, but there was still nothing to pin to the F-Boys, nor any sign of their main suspect. It was getting frustrating with each passing day and new deaths reported. Their time together alone had been less and less in the last few days, as the case seemed to take up most of their time except when they slept. They switched off between apartments each night. When they had the chance to make love, they seemed to have slipped back to their early patterns, despite Ryo's desire to take a more active role. It was as if they did not have time for new and inventive, to try something different. What was comfortable and simple seemed to fit the bill just fine to share love and release stress, before they would settle down next to each other to get a few hours sleep before going back to coordinating the full operation, then go on their shift.
-- -- -- -- --
On the fifth night since the boy had died, as they entered the third bar for the night that they finally saw their man. The big muscle man was sitting alone watching the dancers.
Dee turned in shock when he felt Ryo grasp his arm differently and started to act a little strange. It was as if Ryo was slightly drunk. The dark eyes that met his warned him to play along. Dee nodded ever so slightly, wondering what Ryo was up to, considering their cover story on how they met. It was his trust in his partner that allowed him to go along with whatever Ryo was up to.
At the bar, Dee was in for further surprises as Ryo ordered two beers for them. Dee caught the glint in Ryo's eyes and it became a little clearer on what he was supposed to do. He assumed an annoyed look and shook his head at the bartender. “Two Cokes,” he countered, flashing a look at his partner.
“One Coke and one Bud,” Ryo remarked, his eyes flashing on Dee in irritation. “You need to loosen up,” he said to Dee. Ryo looked to be having fun with his comment. Even if only acting, he was enjoying the reverse of their normal characteristics.
Dee grumped, not in the least bit amused, as he realized someone was having too much fun at his expense. “Dammit Randy! Why are you doing this tonight?”
“Look,” Ryo warned, getting into his role. “It's just a few. I'll be fine tomorrow. I swear.”
“Just don't make me have to make a phone call,” Dee warned, playing into his cover.
Dee realized what Ryo was up to now, but he did not understand completely why. It did not stop him from playing up his part of the act. It was easy to act annoyed, because he was not liking where this was leading them. He stood little chance of Ryo explaining himself where they were, so he had to trust his partner and hope he did not mess up his part. Later when they were alone, Dee decided, he'd get back at Ryo. Then they would have some mutual fun.
“Stop worrying, Dimitri,” Ryo replied.
While undercover, Ryo hardly called him by name, using mostly terms of endearment. They agreed on using Ryo's given name because over the years, he was more known as Ryo among their job than Randy. They decided to give Dee a name that started with a `D'. As with each of the few times Ryo called him by that name, Dee found himself wondering if he had once been a Dimitri, even if for a few weeks. Or Daniel, Dennis. Most likely Damien, he decided in amusement.
When he was younger, but old enough to be told how he ended up in the orphanage and why the woman he called Mother was not really his mother, he was shown a paper that had been found with baby Dee. It had obviously been meant to give his name, but it was a damp wet night and the fretful baby managed to pull the paper to expose it to the elements. By the time Jess found him, all that was legible was the D. It was obvious his first name started with a D, but Mother Lane and Jess decided to simply name him Dee. That was the only name he had known, and he had never gave thought to what one or both of his biological parents had named him during the short time he was with her/him/them. Only recently, hearing himself being called Dimitri had made him think. He'd be glad when he could go back to just being plain Dee again.
The bar was crowded that night, so they squeezed in a space against the wall, not far from the man who had their attention.
Halfway through the beer, Ryo turned to Dee. “Gotta take a leak.” Dee watched Ryo strut across the dance floor, through the dancers and groups standing around. His head turned as he passed their suspect and smiled in recognition.
Dee felt himself starting to sweat, his partner's full plan becoming clear to him. Setting his glass down, he quickly searched for a shorter path to get behind Ryo. Making his way through the crowd best he could without causing a scene, he caught up with his partner just as Ryo was entering the single use men's room. Dee pushed himself up against Ryo, slamming the door behind them and locking it.
He turned the startled man around and braced himself to deflect anything Ryo might throw out in self defense.
Instead Ryo stared at him
“Are you playing that easy tonight to allow anyone to join you in here?” Dee asked.
Ryo smiled. “No. I saw your hand, I smelled your aftershave, I felt your body. I know when it's my lover behind me or not. Besides, I was betting on you following me.”
Dee nodded, but did not relent. “Just for the record, I should remind you that I'm the one who pulls stupid stunts.”
“Most of the time,” Ryo replied. “We can both name a few I've pulled. But this one is not stupid.”
Dee continued to glare.
“We need information. A name, something. If I play drunk and reckless and mad at you for not wanting me to drink, I might be able to get that.”
“Why you?” Dee demanded.
“Because I'm more his type than you. You were an after thought to get to me. Maybe he figured two were better than one. I don't know. But he didn't approach you when you were at the bar earlier that evening.”
“Crap!”
“We need to come up with a plan. Which is why I was hoping you would follow me here.”
“We need to come up with a plan in the time of a quickie,” Dee muttered sarcastically, looking around at the dingy bathroom. “Ryo, we're good, but not that good. And remember we're not supposed to apprehend him,” he reminded Ryo.
“We won't. Just get the information we need,” Ryo assured him.
Dee sighed. “Fine. Just remember, you're the expert on creative report writing. You'll be doing this one too, especially if this gets screwed up.”
“It won't come to that. I swear.”
“Okay. But we're also calling Diana before we leave this place.”
“Was already on my mind,” Ryo assured him sincerely.
--- --- --- --- --
Dee stood to the side of the bar fuming. It was not much of an act. The slimeball was falling right into Ryo's plans. Damn Ryo for being right. The man wanted young, naïve, innocent. It was now obvious to Dee. Ryo was right in assigning himself to the task. Dee only blushed for Ryo. For anyone else, he could put them to shame without a blink. Ryo, on the other hand, acted natural, even if pretending to be a little drunk. Although he was going along with the plan, Dee was not liking it. He was not happy watching the man he loved come on to another. This was exactly what both of them were against when they first learned about the assignment. He remembered how vehemently Ryo had insisted to Diana that Dee was not to come on to anyone but him. Now Ryo was playing the role of the bait, coming on to that man. He did not care if it meant nothing to Ryo except doing his job. Dee still hated it.
The man leaned over to kiss Ryo, but Ryo turned his head shyly, before gazing up at his admirer with wide, beautiful innocent dark eyes.
Dee growled. He slinked back further into the shadows. They looked ready to leave, which meant he had to take his position. Casually, so not to draw attention to himself, he made his way out of the bar.
Out on the street, he stepped into a doorway and took out his cell phone. Diana confirmed was Ryo doing a great job, then while reminding Dee that they were forbidden to make an arrest, she gave him permission to play hurt lover and employ any means to get Ryo away from the man. If it included knocking him out, then that was what Dee could do. Dee grunted in satisfaction.
When Ryo and the man stepped out of the bar, Dee watched as they headed down the street in the direction of the piers. That slimeball had his hand on Ryo's lower back. It was only a matter of time before that hand would be on Ryo's ass. Dee would do more than knock him out then. He'd kill the bastard.
He took a deep breath as he waited in the doorway, fighting to restrain his emotions and keep them in check. They had a job to do. Allowing his anger to get the best of him would not help the case at all. Then shortly, after failing in their duty, Ryo and he would end up with new partners. That was assuming they still had careers in the police force. He had to pull himself together and find a way to play it by the books to prove they could do this. More than prove it, Dee could not fail. He had to bring the case to a close with justice bought to those who were killing those men - and boys.
He fought harder to get a grip on himself and started to consider ways to get Ryo away with as little attention as possible.
He did not like it. He had a bad feeling it was the same direction the young boy took with the same man several nights before. He watched as they crossed West Street. Dee noticed the cluster of people on one of the derelict piers. All he made out were shapes from where he stood on the corner, watching Ryo and the man in the middle of the street, heading for the other side. He could not tell how many or much more than knowing it was a group of people. There was no visible sign of the F-Boys in the area that went along the piers. It was busy as usual, with the same type of people looking for a good time, with a sprinkling of couples walking hand in hand.
Normally he would bite down on his fears, detach himself to be able to do his job. This time Dee allowed all his fears to what might be waiting for Ryo to grab control of him. In a frantic yell, he screamed across the street, “Randy! Wait!” He seized onto unfounded fears of how he would feel if Ryo ever left him.
Ryo looked back, startled enough to falter in his progress toward the curb, but the other man placed his arm around Ryo's waist making him continue toward the sidewalk. Dee broke out in a run, allowing tears to come to his eyes as he dodged late evening traffic when the light turned green for the waiting cars on West Street. Thankfully the traffic was light on the surface extension of the West Side Highway. He paused once to avoid being run over by a cab, the driver yelling at him in Arabic while flipping Dee the middle finger. Then he ran on, coming up along Ryo, who was stopping his companion now on the safety of the sidewalk. By the time he reached the curb, he had worked himself into a full fledged panic. He seized it and held onto it, playing into it and working it to his advantage.
“Randy, I'm sorry,” he yelled out. “I didn't mean it. Please,” he begged.
Ryo's dark eyes flashed on him. “You should know better than to control my life.” Unseen by Ryo's companion, Dee saw how Ryo was struggling to keep his shock from showing on his face. Thankfully Ryo had caught on and played his role.
“Baby, please. I just don't want you getting hurt again. We've been through too much. Don't go back to what you wanted to escape from. Please.”
“I told you tonight is nothing,” Ryo grumped. “But do you ever listen?”
Dee lifted tear filled green eyes to glance at Ryo's companion. “Like he's going to be better in allowing you control? Looks more like he wants a nice subservient little slave.”
Ryo shrugged. “I feel sorry for him if that's what he's expecting.”
The man's eyes changed as he looked over at Ryo in surprise then did a quick appraisal of the distraught, begging Dee. They had not planned on this. All that was planned was Dee would come running up to them, wanting Ryo to leave with him. Dee had to fight down the urge to laugh. Ryo was too good at playing the role and Dee found himself enjoying it. It was going to be easier for him to fall further into the act, curious to see how far he could get Ryo to play it off.
He could see Ryo was expecting him to come charging in anger, more than ready to give their suspect a fight. It was easier for Dee to play into this act at the moment, and it stood a good chance of Ryo being able to get away without either of them having to resort to violence.
Dee shook his head. “No. Don't do this to us. You can't. If you go with him, I'll never….”
Ryo reached out with his hand and cupped Dee's wet cheek roughly. “Ah, but you will, pretty boy. Because you won't give me up. You can't.” He leaned in close. “You're mine until I say otherwise,” he said in a low rough voice.
Dee bit his lip, playing into the act with all he had. He silently applauded Ryo for reading the little signs he was sending, catching on and playing it so smoothly. He found himself almost believing Ryo. To his surprise, he felt a jolt of excitement run its course through him. He filed it for closer inspection for some other time. For the moment, that jolt made him tremble and he played it as falling further into Randy's hold on him. Which, if Dee thought about it, was not far from the truth. “Please,” he whispered. “Don't leave me. Not even for one night.”
The other man continued to watch. As Dee's eyes flickered, he caught a glimpse of disgust from the other man. Then stormy eyes settled on Dee, as if seeing him differently. Dee saw the decision made in those eyes. It was Dee that was more his type as far as their act went. He was no longer interested in Ryo.
“Tell you what, Randy,” the man said, his eyes hungrily undressing Dee as he spoke roughly, “you can bring your plaything along. I think we can both enjoy having him.”
Dee shook his head as a tremble ran through him, reminding him of another time. “No. No one but Randy touches me.” Unlike that other time, Dee was speaking the truth now.
“That can be arranged. I'd love to watch you two do each other.” His eyes fell on Ryo, who had his back turned to the man. Ryo was blushing deeply, obviously trying to pull himself together and not let on how much that statement disturbed him. “Rather kinky, if you ask me. Who would have thought a twink can be a master. Especially to someone like this one.” His eyes settled on Dee again as he licked his lips. “I'll bet you love to be dry-fucked. Maybe fisted.”
“Randy, no,” Dee whimpered. “I don't want to go with him. Please. I don't want you to go with him.” Dee moved close to Ryo, leaning his mouth against his ear to start whispering things that made Ryo blush to the roots of his hair, while standing on a sidewalk, knowing that the man with them was catching some of the things Dee was suggesting. It helped calm Dee down too, taking his mind from the images that had started to invade his mind. Others walked past them, some looking curiously, while others ignored them.
Ryo sighed and nodded. “I can't say no to all that, can I?” he stated, grabbing Dee by his waist and pulling him close for a kiss. Ryo was having a rough time not breaking out into a smile. Only someone who could read Ryo as well as Dee could tell. Ryo's face was flushed.
`Not blush,' Dee reminded himself. He remembered what Ryo had told him was a new tactic to keep himself from blushing too much, especially on the job. `Holy crap!' Dee thought. `He's thinking about what I said and it's turning him on!' Dee bit down a fit of giggles.
Dee let out a small sigh of relief. They were not home free yet.
Ryo released his hold on Dee to turn to his companion. “Stan, I'm sorry. I guess I was drunk and mad at him. But I can't resist him either. Not when he wants me to do all those delightful things to him.”
“I'll let you go,” Dan agreed, hungry eyes still riveted on Dee. “But one day, I'll get you.” Dee realized he was speaking to him and not Ryo. Those eyes went to Ryo. “Both of you. I'll have you both.” He went up to Dee and grabbed him by his chin. “When you're not acting so tough, you are quite the pretty one. It's those lovely eyes of your. I can give you more of what you need than he can. You and Randy will know what I can offer you. Just wait.” He turned and walked away. Dee could not help the shiver and felt Ryo hold him tighter, a tight look on his face.
Dee noted he headed toward the pier where he could make out the shapes better. Five, maybe six people. He felt Ryo's fingers on his face, wiping tears that were still flowing. He took a deep breath to reign his emotions back where he normally kept them now that they were both away from their suspect.
“It was only his rejection talking,” he stated to Ryo, and to himself.
“What a creep!” Ryo replied, plainly disgusted at the man.
Dee nodded. “There's all types of nutcases around here at this time of night.” He was firmly back in control, but did not move away yet. He was enjoying being held by Ryo. “Remember that next time you call me a horn dog.”
Dee's cell phone rang before Ryo had a chance to reply, and pulled it out of his shirt pocket. “Yo,” he spoke into the phone.
“Call it a night,” he heard Diana's voice say. “And tell Ryo he can turn his phone off. Come back here and let's go over what we have. Oh and your friend is about to be picked up for questioning. So get away from there fast.”
“Okay.” He hung up the phone and leaned close to Ryo. “Diana doesn't want to listen to us as I do this,” he said with a smile and started to kiss Ryo.
Ryo pulled the phone out of his pocket and shut it off.
“Time for somewhere more private now,” Dee said, allowing Ryo's arm to go around his shoulders, as Dee led them away.
“Agreed,” Ryo stated, looking relieved as they went to the crosswalk. As they reached the other side of the street, they both noticed the flashing lights. Not bothering to look back, they ducked into the crowds and made their way back to the apartment they operated out from.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Diana sat in the living room after the door closed behind Dee and Ryo. They had stopped by the apartment. Instead of having them stay the rest of the night as the normal routine, she handed them the updates to the case and sent them off to one of their apartments.
She thought back to the brief time they were there.
From the moment they entered the apartment, there was something charged between them. It was in the way they looked at each other, the way their bodies subconsciously reacted to the other. The way during the short time they we in Diana's presence, Dee would break out into a big silly grin unlike any she had seen on him before several times when he looked at Ryo. Ryo's eyes were sparkling with mischief of the type Diana never thought she would see so plainly in the man she knew as the shy one out of the two.
Diana did not know what it was, but she knew they would be better off alone in their own space. And the sooner, the better.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dee and Ryo took a cab from the corner of Morton and Hudson to Dee's apartment. Dee sat close to Ryo in the back of the cab and smiled as the other man ignored the cab driver to place his arms around Dee, pulling him closer.
Placing his mouth close to Dee's ear, Ryo softly said, “That was some acting back there.” He sounded truly amazed still, even after some time had passed and they had dropped the act.
Dee just nodded, relaxing more into Ryo's hold. He was aware that there was still a shift of balance between them since they walked away from Stan.
It felt good to Dee, and right. It was easier than he thought. He knew what he wanted that night and could tell Ryo felt the same. No words were said; none were needed.
The way it should be.
“If I didn't catch those looks you were giving me and catch your signs, you would have scared the daylights out of me. I was for a few seconds,” Ryo stated.
“Thank goodness we know each other well enough to communicate without Stan catching on, huh?” Dee stated with a grin.
“You're telling me,” Ryo sighed. He caressed Dee's cheek. “Whatever got you good enough to even shed a few tears? That was the scary part. Until you touched me to let me know you were acting.”
Dee covered Ryo's hand with his own as he started to grin wider. Gently he removed Ryo's hand from his face, kissing it first, their still joined hands dropping. I did some theater in college.” He laughed, pushing his hair out of his hair. “Got me laid an awful lot by both women and men.”
Ryo sighed. “Somehow I can see that.” He gave Dee a slight frown.
Dee laughed. “Seriously, I had a real good teacher. Somehow I knew if I made my goal, being able to act at times would help. Especially if I made it to detective. Tonight shows I was right. Had to pull out the acting skills a few times before since becoming a cop.” His hand back in his hair, he shook his head. “But sheesh… I never pulled an act like that before.” He gave a small chuckle.
“Well, I have to admit with your looks and skill like that, if you had decided not to become a cop, you could have made it acting.”
Dee shrugged. What ifs did not matter to him. He did become a cop and went on to detective. He was more than content with life right now being in Ryo's arms. “I can't see myself being anything but a detective,” he replied truthfully.
Ryo ran his fingers through Dee's hair as his mouth moved closer to Dee's ear again. “I thought it was hot. After I knew not to worry.” His lightly kissed Dee's ear.
Dee's grin started again. He mentally filed away possibilities for later. Right now he decided he was going to allow Ryo to set the pace. He did not have to wait long as Ryo's mouth captured his and he felt himself being pressed further into the seat, as much of his brown haired partner's body could cover him from his seated position next to Dee. Dee felt his eyes go wide as he lost himself in the kiss. He wondered if perhaps Ryo forgot where they were.
The cab stopped in front of Dee's building. Ryo was paying the driver before Dee had a chance to reach for his wallet. He noticed the generous tip he gave the driver, who avoided looking directly at Ryo and Dee. As Dee exited the cab, he still felt the mood between them, the balance still different. He embraced it as he walked next to his lover into the lobby.
Ryo waited for Dee to let them in and they went over toward the elevator. They entered the elevator, Dee a step before Ryo. As the doors closed, when in the past Dee would start pressing Ryo against a wall, he remained still, feeling Ryo's arm go around his waist. He looked at his lover and simply licked his lips.
C'mon and take me, it conveyed. It was the only action of taking any lead Dee decided he was going to take right then. Perhaps for the rest of the night.
The look was not lost on Ryo, who placed his other arm around him, and Dee found himself drowning in one of Ryo's deep soul kisses. He felt himself being backed up until his back was against the wall. Which was just as well, because Dee felt his knees go weak as Ryo further dominated the kiss, his hands now stroking along Dee's sides.
They broke the kiss for a quick gulp of air. He noticed Ryo's large dark eyes searching his. “Go for it, baby,” Dee whispered, before Ryo's mouth took his again.
The only problem Dee could see in an otherwise perfect moment was while Ryo was in charge - and he most definitely was in charge - no clothing was being removed yet. Dee wanted to go with his gut feelings and completely submit to Ryo this time, but instinct took over as he reached to pull Ryo's sleeveless muscle shirt from his tight faded jeans.
Hands that were exploring his hips were suddenly on his hands. Dee looked into Ryo's eyes in surprise.
Ryo shook his head, a tiny smile on his face. “No.”
“No?” Dee was confused. Ryo could not be backing out already. In the past, even Ryo had managed to loosen some article of clothing on Dee while they fooled around in the elevator.
“We're going to do this my way,” came Ryo's reply. A hand left his to stroke across his chest.
Dee shivered from the touch and the promise in Ryo's words. “Well in that case…” He allowed himself to be kissed until they realized they were on their floor.
They left the elevator with Ryo's arm around his waist. Dee took his keys out and unlocked the door. He opened the door and waited for Ryo to enter, before following him. Once he had the door closed and locked, he found himself being kissed again. Finding himself against the wall next to the door, Ryo started to unbutton his shirt, slowly, his mouth leaving a tingling trail along the exposed flesh on Dee's chest. In the last few days, Ryo had been becoming braver in exploring Dee's chest, so it was nothing new or surprising to Dee. What did surprise him was the hunger Dee felt as Ryo's mouth kissed along his chest, as his tongue lapped his flesh. Once Ryo had the last button of Dee's shirt undone and the shirt moved to expose Dee's finely muscled chest and his rippled abdomen, Dee's hands left Ryo's shoulders to start tugging on his partner's shirt.
He let out a yelp of surprise when Ryo's hands caught him by the wrists and held them up above him against the wall. Ryo pressed against Dee as his mouth ravished his throat and shoulders, nuzzled his jaw, licked his ears. All Dee could do was hope he would not slid down the wall as he moaned repeatedly.
He felt Ryo's knee go between his legs. Dee could not help gasp from the slight pressure his partner's leg gave as it brushed along his now straining bulge threatening to break out of his buttoned jeans. Dee allowed himself to slide down a bit, as far as he could with Ryo still holding his arms against the wall, and moved his hips.
He felt Ryo's answer in a movement of his own. Ryo continued to assault Dee's head, shoulders and chest as their hips moved in a rhythm.
He let out a mutter of frustration when he felt Ryo pull away from him. His hands were still being held and Ryo's leg was still between his legs. Dee was certain if Ryo let go of his wrists and moved his leg, he would have slid down to the floor. Ryo could have taken him right there, next to the door. Dee would not have complained.
“I think you need to get more comfortable,” Ryo stated softly before nipping the tip of Dee's nose lightly.
Dee nodded, drawing a ragged breath. It took plenty of effort on his part to push himself away from the wall and remain on shaky legs when Ryo finally released his wrists. “God, Ryo,” was all Dee could mutter.
They bypassed the living room, heading straight for the bedroom, except for a stop to take off shoes. By the time they reached the bedroom, Dee's shirt was somewhere in the vicinity of his couch. Ryo had allowed Dee to pull his shirt out from his jeans, so his hands could explore Ryo's body without the barrier of material.
Inside the bedroom, as they kissed, Dee unfastened the belt at Ryo's waist, then tugged at the snap of Ryo's jeans. Ryo took Dee's hint and started to unzip his pants. While Ryo was still standing, Dee slid down to his knees before his partner, his hands on the tight jeans and somehow managed to get them to slide down with him. He felt the relief of not having to stand anymore. He looked up and let out a laugh as he almost got poked in the eye by Ryo's hard-on. Ryo was looking down and let out a laugh himself.
“I would have thought you would noticed that right away,” Ryo said, amused.
“I should have. It's obvious enough,” Dee stated, then his hands went on Ryo's hips as his tongue started to lick the throbbing length of his partner's cock. He felt Ryo's fingers twist in his hair as Dee put his attention to eliciting moans from his partner as he gave Ryo a blow job.
Ryo's fingers clenched tightly in his hair for a moment when Dee pulled away, then the fingers were gently running through his unruly hair.
“Save that,” Dee stated, looking up, licking his lips. “We both have plans for that tonight.”
Ryo nodded, swallowing hard as his eyes met Dee's. Ryo's hands left Dee's hair to help him onto his feet. They kissed again and Dee felt Ryo move them until they were beside his bed. Ryo opened his pants and tugged them down, then pushed Dee to sit on the bed.
Ryo straddled Dee so he could further explore Dee's back with probing fingers and his chest with his mouth.
Ryo slid off Dee's lap and went to his knees before Dee and as he pulled the pants completely off, he started to give Dee the same treatment he had started a week ago, whenever time permitted him to give Dee one of his earth shattering blow jobs.
It should have been unsettling to Dee a few days earlier when he had found himself consciously copying Ryo's technique so his lover could feel the same intense pleasure Dee had received. Instead, he felt it was only fair. Ryo was still copying some of Dee's techniques in other things. Both were little by little daring to stray from the familiar patterns Dee had initially set to experiment.
Ryo was licking and stroking Dee from his toes on each foot, and up along his legs, paying special attention to his inner thighs, going up to his hips. Soon his mouth was nuzzling the hair surrounding Dee's aching cock. As Dee's mind whirled in a haze of intense pleasure, he could not help think, `God, I created a sex monster.' Not that he was about to start complaining anytime soon.
As Ryo's mouth hovered above his cock, Dee reached over to grab the lube on the night stand, and tossed it down to Ryo.
Ryo gazed up, his dark eyes glazed over in desire and need as Dee propped himself up by his elbows so he could watch his partner. Their eyes met. No words were needed. They both saw the last minute question and answer in the other's eyes.
They both knew how this was going to end and looked forward to it.
Dee shivered in anticipation as Ryo started to lick along the base of his cock, Dee's ballsac in one hand, while the other rubbed Dee's flat tight stomach. The muscles under Ryo's touch quivered. As the mouth made its way up along his shaft, Ryo's skilled tongue swirling around the width, his wet lips dragging along the sensitive flesh, the hand on Dee's stomach started to move lower, stroking along the plane where hip and leg joined. Only one finger traced the path along the crevice until it skimmed down past the hand still fondling his balls. Dee was near limp, moaning and crying out when Ryo did something he especially liked. His body writhed on its own will to certain things.
Dee was usually quite helpless when Ryo went down on him like this, but this particular time was more intense. There had always been some remnant of control from Dee, unused in most cases, but still there, ready to take over, even if he never had. This time was different. Dee had released all control; he had no will to maintain even some weak illusion of it. He was Ryo's that night, to respond how Ryo demanded him. It was easier than he thought, and at one point when he realized he was totally in Ryo's control, he felt this relief wash over him almost as great as the waves of pleasure Ryo was creating within him. For the first time in a very long time, Dee was content to lay back and allow someone else to do all the work. He had attempted it once or twice before in the past with some lover, but it never felt right. It…. Dee had to finally admit it the truth -- it had terrified him. He did not like feeling helpless and vulnerable, at the mercy of someone else. He always had to be in control, always the one to call the shots. Always the one to dominate. To never be dominated.
Yet at that moment under Ryo's will, all Dee could do was revel in how wonderful it felt to submit himself to the man he truly loved.
“I love you, Ryo,” Dee uttered hoarsely, licking his lips before letting out another moan.
He felt the vibration of Ryo's chuckle on his cock and bucked his hips a little. The mouth left him long enough to hear Ryo reply, “I love you too, Dee. More than anything.”
“Me too,” Dee agreed. “More than anything.” He knew it was the truth being in the vulnerable position he was currently in, and all he could do was beg to Ryo for more.
Dee was dimly aware of the prodding finger at his opening. It was no longer an unfamiliar feeling. He had meant what he said before to Ryo about probing and playing with him in that area. Ryo had taken advantage of it. The last week had been slowly building up to this moment, with both men finally comfortable enough to go to the next step.
Ryo had never gone further than two fingers before. Dee sucked in his breath when he realized a third finger was now entering him. He squeezed his eyes for a second, then let out a moan as his ballsac was taken into a hot mouth and was given special attention. He felt himself relax a little.
“Let me know if I'm hurting you, Dee,” he heard Ryo's voice say to him.
“Keep going,” he insisted.
“JJ, Dee,” he heard.
“What?!?” Dee lifted his head to start down at Ryo incredulous, his mouth hanging open for a second. “What the hell does he….?”
“If something hurts more than you're comfortable, or if you change your mind at anytime, just say JJ. Stop won't work, since we use that word quite often and don't mean it,” Ryo explained, his lips brushing along Dee's cock, and his tongue snaked out to lap up the pre-cum oozing from the head.
“Ohh… uh, right.” Dee's head fell back again and his arched his back, realizing that Ryo's fingers had never left him. They gently stretched him, Ryo making sure a finger brushed along the sweet spot, making Dee gasp. “O-okay. Makes sense.” He moaned again and found himself finally pushing down on the fingers. “I'm fine, Ryo.”
He heard and felt Ryo chuckle. “You look it.” Ryo lifted his head again. “Dee,” he called out.
Dee moved his head to meet Ryo's eyes. “Yeah? Damn!” His hips bucked again and he pushed down one more time. “Shit!”
“Good or bad?”
“Fuckin' A, Ryo,” Dee drawled, amused that Ryo was actually talking to him.
Ryo's eyes met his again, and Dee knew what was next. He understood why Ryo suddenly starting to chat a little and was making sure Dee was still okay with it.
“Ready?” Ryo asked.
“Yeah. You?”
Ryo was moving so he could get onto the bed alongside Dee, tube of lube in the hand that was not still prepping Dee. Dee's eyes fell on Ryo's throbbing weeping erection. Ryo caught his gaze. “What do you think?” Ryo asked amused. He removed his other hand. “C'mon, into position you.”
Dee obediently scrambled toward the middle of the bed, stretching out on his side, watching as Ryo lay next to him. Their arms went around the other as they kissed again. He felt Ryo's hands move down his back, along the small of his back and then onto his ass.
“Which way?” Dee asked after they broke apart for air.
“Roll over onto your stomach,” Ryo surprised him with the quick unwavering response.
“You've been thinking about this, huh?” Dee chuckled, rolling onto his stomach, grabbing a pillow to place under him.
“Unlike our first time when there was one of us who had experience, I'm taking a guess that it's been a long time for both of us in this way.”
Dee lifted his head and turned it to face Ryo, an eyebrow arched in question. “Care to explain that a little more concerning you?” he asked.
“I mean, it's been a while since I've… well, since I've done it with a woman. More than two years. And never with this entrance. This is new to me.” Ryo moved so he straddled Dee, his hands gliding along Dee's hips, back and ass. “I'm guessing it's been at least two years for you.”
Dee let out a harsh laugh. “Go for ten. Yup, I see what you mean. I'm glad we both have the mechanics of it understood at least.” His laugh was now amused.
“Ten?” Ryo asked, amazed. “You're practically a virgin yourself.”
“Hmmph… don't you think I'm tight enough?” Dee remarked, then laughed. “I've been told once that bottoms make the best tops. So, with that in mind, tonight is a night of several firsts. We're going to draw on your experience from here on tonight.”
“I think I'm up to the task,” Ryo replied, leaning over to kiss Dee's shoulders. He felt Ryo raise himself. “Move your legs so I can get between them.”
It took only a couple of fumbles and giggles until Ryo was finally leaning along Dee's back, with Dee's legs spread on each side of Ryo. He felt Ryo kiss his back, his fingers going back to make sure Dee was still ready.
It was no more than a minute because their talking further relaxed both men before Ryo was guiding Dee's legs upward so they were under Dee. That was when Dee's heart started to pound and he pressed his face into a pillow.
Omigod… omigod… we're really going to do this! I'm really going to allow Ryo to…. And it was at that last part that he felt himself start to relax again. It was Ryo. The man he loved more than his own life, the man he trusted with his life. The man who was his partner at work for over two years, and now his partner in life. His equal. His other half. Ryo made him whole.
It was time that he really felt whole.
He moaned as he felt Ryo's slick lube coated head press against his opening. Dee took a deep breath and willed himself to relax. He felt the head enter him and he bit down onto his pillow as the pain shot through him. His first instinct was to tighten up, clench down and stop the invasion.
Hands were on his hips, rubbing. He heard Ryo's voice murmur, “Loosen up, baby.”
“Easy for you to say,” Dee muttered, lifting his head to assure his low words were heard by the other.
That earned him a light smack on his ass. “Remember who you're talking to, Neantheral,” Ryo stated amused.
“Oh right. Sorry. Hey!” It was then he realized that Ryo was inside him. “Oh….” His mouth opened at the wonder of it. Ryo - his Ryo - was in him, holding still while Dee became accustomed to him. Ryo was not lacking in endowment. He was quite sizable, near to Dee from what Dee could tell. They never actually sat down to measure… Now there was a thought for another time. He wiggled his hips a little and decided he liked what he felt. “More,” he murmured.
“Remember the safe word,” Ryo said, sliding more into Dee, hands gripping his hips.
“Just don't say it,” Dee warned, then moaned again. It hurt, plenty, but there was something. If only he could grasp it. What was it that he felt Ryo do after the first few times? It always helped him slide in smoother, and Ryo did not seem to feel much pain, except for a second or two at the start.
“Sure you're okay?”
“What's that thing you do?”
“Huh? Oh, that… Ummm….” Ryo chuckled ruefully.
Dee was willing to bet if he looked behind him, he'd see Ryo finally blushing for the first time since they entered the apartment. He cursed himself. Dee had resolved he would not make Ryo blush during that precious moment for them both. “Never mind,” he stated.
He felt a firm hand on his ass. “No, you're right. It's kinda weird, but it works. Clench down as if you're going to take a crap.”
“No shit?” Dee remarked, wiggling his hips again and sighing. It was getting better.
“That's the idea,” came Ryo's retort. “Preferably. Especially for me.”
Dee dropped his head into the pillow and laughed. He knew right then, right there, this was the way it should be. There was no reason why they should not be making jokes and laughing. It was the complete opposite of his first time, a time he still forced himself to forget.
“Okay, let me try,” Dee stated. “Ahhh…. yeah. That works.” This time he wiggled his hips more and shifted to bare down more on Ryo.
“Easy there. Jesus, Dee. Play the sacrificial virgin, why don't you?”
“Making you feel better, love,” Dee drawled, now starting to understand the appeal of being in the position he currently found himself in. “Because you're most certainly making me feel good.”
“Okay. Going in for the kill,” Ryo warned him. Ryo most probably knew he was ready to take it all the way.
He still let out a little yelp, but then his eyes closed tight as he let out a moan. “Oh my God, Ryo…” he drawled out then sighed. “Damn, you feel good.”
He felt Ryo lean over to kiss his shoulders again. He shifted his head so Ryo can get at his neck. Ryo settled his balance and slowly started to move in Dee. “Holy fuck…” Dee moaned. “God yes.”
“Mmmm…” was the only reply he got from Ryo.
Ryo started to move in and out in short strokes, the feeling overtaking Dee a little more with each stroke until he found himself begging Ryo not to worry. Ryo was being so careful he was not clumsy at all. Nothing like Dee was sensing Ryo feared he'd be. As for how Dee felt, he found himself moving up onto his knees a little, waiting for his lover to reposition himself along with the move and sticking his ass out for the full brunt. “Fuck me, Ryo,” he started to beg. “Don't be afraid. I want it. You want this.”
That was all Ryo needed to snap from his restraint. He pumped Dee furiously, with long strokes, most angled to hit Dee's sweet spot. Ryo was driving them both from his knowledge. He knew from Dee what he liked and what he did not. Dee found he was getting an education, his mind tucking away the things Ryo avoided that Dee sometimes did, to consider not doing them anymore. Or at least talk to Ryo about it. And all the rest…. There were a few things Dee never thought of before as he cried out, clenching the pillows, his head back.
Ryo reached beneath Dee to grab onto his cock and started to pump it in rhythm with his strokes. Dee fell into the rhythm. It seemed to last forever, and yet not long enough. He felt Ryo speed up, his strokes shorter, his breathing changing. Then with one hard plunge, Ryo let out a loud, harsh cry as he started to cum in Dee. Dee gasped at the sensation of Ryo's cum hit against his walls in spurts. Then his own cock started to twitch. Just as the last of Ryo's orgasm pounded into Dee, Dee cried out from his own as he shot onto the mattress beneath him.
He found himself face first in the pillow, Ryo's dead weight on him, lips lazily nuzzling his ear.
“You okay, love?” Ryo asked.
Dee turned his head so they could briefly kiss. “Can we do this again?” he sighed.
Ryo smiled. “I was so hoping you'd want to.”
“You liked it too, then?” Dee asked as Ryo slid off him to settle alongside Dee.
Dee turned onto his side and allowed himself to be pulled closer as Ryo's arms went around him.
“Definitely,” Ryo said, then took his mouth for another kiss.
“So I guess we're officially a two-sided relationship,” Dee stated. “But you think maybe… we can wait a while until you do me? Like a day or two?”
“What? You don't want a second round tonight?” Ryo asked, then laughed at Dee's face. “You are adorable.” He leaned into kiss Dee's nose. “Thank you, Dee. At first I was afraid we'd never do this. But now that we did….” His grin grew.
Dee prepared himself for whatever was going to come out of Ryo's mouth. He had that look on his face that Dee was starting to know well. “What, Ryo?” he asked warily, tucking his face into Ryo's neck.
Fingertips brushed stray hair from his face, then traced his ear. “I never expected that if we did do this, that you'd package yourself as a blushing almost virgin for me.”
“Dammit Ryo,” Dee growled into Ryo's neck, causing the other man to shiver. “You know how to work me. And it had been ten years.”
He felt Ryo hug him tighter. Dee started to smile as he pressed his lips against Ryo's throat. Dee lifted his head so they were face to face. “I love you, Ryo.” The way Dee proclaimed it told Ryo all he had to know. It explained it all.
“I love you, too,” Ryo said.
They kissed again, lazily. Touches were soft and gentle, both men overwhelmed by the recent events in their love life and what it meant to them. They were truly complete now. Both joined as one.

A/N Wow! Thanks to everyone for sticking in there and all the recent reviews. I wish I could say the next chapter will be soon, but I really can't say when it will be done. I can say I'll be updating some of my other fic soon -- including a follow up story to "Learning Aids". I hope this chapter was worth the long wait!
