it was at this act that josh snapped, releasing all the barriers he'd placed on himself a few months ago to limit his powers, bathing him in a dark glow as belldandy and skuld appeared behind him "josh, we're going to try an antidote that kami-sama gave us. josh, what're you doing?" "i've released all restraints against my power. what you feel now is only a 1\100 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000th of my actual power, of my full power if you will" "josh, we're going to do this together. we're doing it as a team" "no" "what?" "this is my fight. you just get keiichi out of the bubble prison. this is my own personal battle, possibly my redemption" she put her hand on his shoulder and said "be careful josh" "i will, you just concentrate on saving keiichi and trying to stop fenrir. the lord of terror is mine, and mine alone. understand?" she nodded and said "alright" as trial of the forsaken appeared behind him "well ol' buddy, looks like we've got work to do" he nodded in agreement and said <we must save mistress urd and world of elegance at any cost, even if we are destroyed> josh nodded and said "lets go" before he flew towards them, leaving an energy trail behind him

"look at those pathetic mortal fools. go fenrir, feast on their energy and their screams" they commanded before a voice said "THAT IS ENOUGH!!" they turned and saw josh, he was dressed in a battle suit which consisted of a black buttoned-up trenchcoat, black sunglasses, black pants and shoes. "joshua, what is this power i feel, it's incredible" they said as they looked around "wait a minute, it's coming from you" "that's right. i've now come here to offer my body and powers in exchange for you leaving urd's body and leaving her alive" "hmm, sounds good enough for me" they said before they flew at him and latched onto him, kissing him.

josh could feel the evil as it entered his body, dark and ancient. he opened his eyes and saw her looking back at him, wide-eyed and with her goddess markings back to normal "josh, what've you done?" "forgive me"he said before he clutched his head "RRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! !!!" he yelled as the aura surrounding him intensified, before it exploded outwards, covering the entire city in a bright light. urd uncovered her eyes and saw josh's limp form float in the air with it's head hung low and it's eyes closed "josh?" she queried as she moved slowly closer. as she got close to him, his hand suddenly reached out and grabbed her by her throat "sorry bitch, he's gone" the voice said "wait a minute, what happened to josh?" "he's gone. now i can kill all those i uuuunnnhhh" the josh puppet grabbed his head with both hands "IT CAN'T BE, YOU'RE DEAD!!" they cried, before another voice from within said "you're wrong mutherfucker, as long as my love for urd is strong you'll never be able to kill me. urd, no matter where we go, no matter what we do, i will always love you. i always have. i even love the way you walk, your personality, the way you smile when you're happy, even when i'm not sometimes. the way you cry when you're sad. i can't imagine a better person i could spend the rest of my now eternal life with. I LOVE YOU URD!!!" the voice, josh's said before the shell of josh, containing the lord of terror, exploded, leaving a young man, he looked to be about 6" 2, and had short floppy black hair. the thing that suprised her was that not only was he dressed in Yggdrasilian style clothes, he even had markings like the gods and goddesses, except the marking on his forehead was shaped like a horse shoe with a nail in the middle of it "josh, what's going on?" he softly opened his eyes and said "i am now Joshua payne, Shadow god of the darkness". his shadow angel, "trial of the forsaken" appeared from his back and began singing with him:

Urd and the others watched on as piece by piece, makuhari was being restored. buldings began to reassemble, houses began to re-form

all of a sudden, josh noticed an extra voice singing with his, so he looked and saw out of the corner of his eye that urd had joined him as well as they sung together

he managed to see belldandy and skuld as they approached with their angels "holy bell" and "noble scarlet" present

they joined in as the city really began to re-form back to the way it was, before the lord of terror. before fenrir destroyed it.

as it finished, the newly-christened god of the shadows took in a deep breath and said "alright, thats done" he turned and whispered "hey" urd flew into his arms and said "josh, don't you ever do that again. i was scared that i lost you" "shh shh shh, i'm not going anywhere. i love you and that's all that matters" he whispered as he held her close to his chest "it was my love for you that transformed me into what i am now. this is my true proper form. my final ultimate form if you will" she looked up into his eyes and he kissed her on her lips. for once, skuld didn't throw her hands up in disgust or make a face, she smiled and said "this is wonderful, welcome to the family josh. even if mother wants nothing to do with you, we'll always accept you for you" they seperated and he said "well, i guess this is my destiny, why didn't you tell me?" skuld and belldandy looked around, before a voice behind them said "well, that wouldn't be any fun now would it? even if we told you, would you have really done everything you have done josh? this was a growing experience for all of us" hild was standing ontop of a tower next to them, kami-sama standing next to her. "so what do we do now, where do we go from here" he asked them "for once, neither of us know josh, it's all uncharted territory from here on" she replied as she folded her arms under her chest "well, i guess we really should be geting back" he said as he looked out over the city "i don't know about you guys, but i've got some things i need to do" "yeah. besides, peorth and malcolm are probably worried about their parents" "you might be right, let's go" he said as they teleported back to the temple.

they re-appeared in the den and headed to her room as they heard the babies crying out. they headed to the room and urd said "just wait out here if you want?" "alright" he replied as she entered the room. five seconds later, he heard a cry of pain, so he opened the door, only to find a kid standing amongst their children. he looked the kid over and said "y'know, you look a lot like urd" "well, that's because i am" said the kid, trying to hold up her dress. it was at that moment that it was so quiet, you could've heard a pin drop. josh's jaw almost dropped "okay, you better not be kidding me" "trust me, i wouldn't lie about something like this" she said, rubbing her chest muttering "oh man, now it's all smooth and flat" "i don't know, you look kind of cute as a kid urd" she turned and glared at him before she shouted "URD LIGHNINGBOLT!!!" a bolt hit josh and sent him into the wall, hard. it was at that noise that the door was thrown open as keiichi, belldandy and skuld stood in the doorway. "nee-san!" was all belldandy could say, skuld was in stiches and keiichi just stood open-mouthed at the whole thing.
