Knuckles enters the Green Jungle, apparently there was a lead for more shards of the master emerald reported there.

"I know there are emeralds here…I can sense they are close by…"

Not too far off in another part of the Green Jungle…

"Rouge looks like we have to work together…" Knuckles says as they are atop pumpkin hill, after a few spirits have taken the shards of the emerald out of either of their reach.

"Rouge!" Knuckles shouted "Geez I better get them, that emerald needs to be reforged, they aren't for her selfish purposes…"

Knuckles runs after her and they wind up going through many tunnels, mostly Knuckles one step behind Rouge as she took flight to throw him off trail.

"Too slow echidna!" Rouge boasted as she soared and found one of the three fragments of the emerald.

"Damn-it!" Knuckles shouted as then that room began to shake as the roof was beginning to cave in for the room.

"Look what you did!" Rouge shouted as she tried to get out of the way until a huge slab broke from the ceiling. "AHHH" Rouge screamed just as Knuckles glided over and grabbed her out of the way, before the slab crushed her.

"You ok?" He asked calmly and nicely.

They find the second emerald, Knuckles reached it before Rouge even reached the chamber.

"Well I guess Sonic isn't the only one with speed is he?" Rouge told the blushing echidna as he held the second emerald behind his back, she seductively walked up to grab it from him.

"No Rouge, the emerald shards need to be reforged to the master emerald, not collected for personal gain."
